We participated as a family. Including my 8-year-old son, it was the first time for everyone except my wife to go horseback riding, and we were a bit anxious, but we were able to enjoy it thanks to the friendly guide who spoke simple English. I would like to join this tour again when we visit the Big Island. As the title suggests, we drove up a steep slope to the riding area and crossed a stream. This was also enjoyable, so you can have double the fun in one experience.

It was a rare pattern for all five family members to visit Hawaii and the Big Island for the first time, but we participated in search of the Hawaiian experience. We arrived before 5 PM and were second in line; the first person did not have a premium seat, so we ended up with a table right in the center of the front row. The show allowed us, as first-time visitors to Hawaii, to feel the essence of Hawaii and was a fun, interactive experience for everyone. However, I believe you can enjoy it just as much without a premium seat. The premium seat included valet parking, so we used the Hilton's valet parking, but when we dropped off the car, they didn't ask for our name (they asked if we were guests, and I mentioned we were there for the show), and we didn't receive any valet parking tickets after the show, but it turned out to be free. It seems like the management is a bit casual in this regard (it might be possible to use it for free even without a premium seat).

As a couple in our 50s, we embraced the motto of "trying anything that interests us," and this time we took our first kayaking adventure on the Big Island of Hawaii! We enjoyed a pleasant drive along Alii Drive from our hotel to the meeting point at Keauhou Bay early in the morning. Since it was an early morning gathering, we were lucky to find a parking spot on the street.

We were the only participants in the tour, which turned into a luxurious one-on-one instruction experience. Initially, we struggled to make progress, but we managed to find our rhythm together and ventured out into the vast ocean. We also had plenty of photos taken, allowing us to create lasting memories.

Kayaking was truly enjoyable. On the day we returned to Tokyo, I saw a celebrity kayaking in Keauhou Bay on a TV program. Watching that made me think, "I want to do this again next year."

Thank you, Noni! We will be going back to the Big Island next year!

宿泊していたホテルから集合場所のケアウホウ湾までは、早朝のアリィロードを気持ちよくドライブで。早朝集合だったので、路上（駐車可能な場所）に駐車することもできラッキーでした。
ツアー参加は私たち夫婦だけ。マンツーマン指導の贅沢なツアーになりました。当初はなかなか思うように進みませんでしたが、夫婦息を合わせなんとかコツを掴み、大海原へ。写真もたくさん撮影していただき、思い出深い時間を過ごすことができました。
カヤックはほんとに楽しかったです。
東京に戻った当日、TV番組で芸能人がハワイ島（同じケアウホウ湾）でカヤックをしていました。それを見たら「また来年もしたいな」とつくづく。

We participated as a family of four with our 8-year-old and 10-year-old sons. I was a bit worried about whether it would be okay for my 8-year-old, but they lent us helmets, and the cowgirl explained how to handle the horses clearly and slowly. Perhaps because it was after a typhoon, the wind was strong, but we enjoyed the vast ranch spreading out in all directions, the beautiful coastline, and many sheep and cows, fully experiencing nature. There were cowgirls at the front and back who kept a close eye on the children, and they helped us choose friendly horses for my husband and kids, making it feel like they were always by our side. This is truly amazing; it's an experience that is unimaginable in Japan. We thoroughly enjoyed the two-hour course.

8歳、10歳の息子達と家族4人で参加しました。8歳で本当に大丈夫かとやや不安もありましたが、ヘルメットも貸してくださり、カウガールのお姉さんがはっきりゆっくり馬の扱い方をを説明してくれました。台風の後だったせいか風は強かったですが、360度一面に広がる牧場と、美しい海岸線と沢山の羊に牛に、大自然を満喫。先頭と後方にカウガールがついてくれてしっかり子供を見てくれたし、馬も主人と子供とで仲の良い馬を選んでくれていつもそばにいるような感じでした。
これは本当にすごいです、日本では到底考えられない体験です。2時間コースで満喫しました。

The music and singing were wonderful, but I felt so relaxed and tired that I almost fell asleep. The lei I received on Sunday was made of nuts, while on Tuesday it was a flower lei. I wasn't sure if the photo taken at the entrance was for sale or a gift.

I participated with my wife, our son who is in the first year of middle school, and our daughter who is in the fifth grade, making a total of four people. The instructor, Kevin, was kind and taught us in fluent Japanese, so there were no issues with the operation lecture. However, perhaps due to the strong waves, my wife and son became seasick about ten minutes into kayaking and had to return early. Unfortunately, we could only snorkel near the starting point, which was very disappointing. I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take anti-nausea medication beforehand.

Since I was experienced, the explanation for snorkeling was brief, and I thought it might be a bit tough for the inexperienced children. However, since it was a short tour, if the explanation is given in detail, the experience time would be shortened, so I think it's better to communicate in advance which is preferred.

I didn't bring a waterproof camera, but Kevin took photos with his own waterproof camera and later shared the files with us.

　防水カメラを準備して行かなかったのですが、ケビンさんが持参の防水カメラで写真撮影して、後でファイルを共有させてくれました。

I was a bit worried about kayaking with my 8-year-old child, but our guide, Noni, was very attentive, so we had no problems. It was a shame that the dolphins swam away during snorkeling, but I was more than satisfied with the many fish and the blue sea.

This was definitely a tour I would like to experience again.

I participated with my high school daughter and husband. This was our third time riding, following the Grand Canyon and Parker Ranch on the Big Island, and we are still beginners. Before we rode, they explained how to ride and safety precautions very slowly and clearly in English. During the ride, they also talked about the ranch and the Big Island, engaging us in conversation, and they guided us in a very friendly and safe manner. We could see the coastline of Kona from the ranch, and the view was outstanding. They kept our valuables in a safe, which was really helpful.

I requested premium seats, but half of the venue was premium seating, so I didn't feel particularly favored. I did arrive early and was seated in the front row, though. The dancing was excellent, but it was a dinner show with singing and dancing, not a luau ceremony.

My 7 year old was a bit worried. He's definitely afraid of heights and it took a bit of convincing to get him to even agree to try. Standing on a 65 foot platform ready to zip while dangling 150+ feet over a waterfall and rock river was a bit daunting but once we started there was no turning back. He wanted to do the course again but it was time to head back to Kona. The rest of us all had a blast as well (a 13 year old and 2 old fuddy-duddy parents :-)

The guides know how to have fun and make sure everyone is being safe. They were all really great.

And if you are driving from Kona take a few extra minutes to stop on the way. There are some amazing sights along the way that are very picture worthy.

Good food but the show was definitely the best part of the night. Spend a few extra bucks and get the premium seating with valet service. The stage makes it good regardless if you are up front but being up front was great.

I arrived a little after 5 PM and was surprised to see about 15 people already in line. None of them were Japanese, though...

While waiting, there were drinks available, and since it was in a corridor, the sunlight wasn't an issue.

I completed the check-in without any problems and felt great with the lei around my neck. Since I had a premium seat, I was able to go to the buffet first, which was a relief for someone like me who loves to eat a lot. I was in the fourth row from the front, and my neighbor happened to be Japanese, which made it comfortable.

The staff and the show were all in English, but even if you don't understand, it was enjoyable enough. There were hardly any dishes I couldn't eat, and everything was delicious, leaving me quite full. (The corn was different from what I'm used to in Japan, so I didn't quite like it.)

I wish the photos were a bit cheaper, so I deducted points for that.

食事も食べれないものは殆ど無く、美味しく頂いて腹が膨れました。
（コーンだけが、日本のものと異なっていたのか合わなかった）

写真がもう少し安いとよかったので、そこだけ評価マイナスしました。

We participated as a family of five. It was everyone's first experience with sea kayaking, but thanks to the excellent guidance from our Japanese-speaking instructor, we all had a great time! For snorkeling, you can choose between the open sea and the bay, but I recommend the bay for those who aren't confident in their stamina. My youngest and I were in the sea kayak together, and before we went into the water, while we were securing the paddles to the kayak, we "magnificently capsized!" I guess it was nice to experience capsizing too? I think it's a high-value activity!

We participated as a family of five. Our youngest was just two months shy of turning 10, but the VELTRA staff quickly coordinated with the local team, allowing all of us to join without any issues. (It seems age and height are important.)

They also provide thorough preparation and practice before the tour, so I think families with children need not worry. (My middle and high school kids pick things up faster than I do!)

This was my fifth time on the Big Island, but the explanation of Kona's history, which I found lacking in travel guides, really left a strong impression on me.

The passionate guidance from the president and the kind support from our guide, Masako, were outstanding! I will participate in the 120-minute tour next time.

Volcano Lava Ocean Boat Tour - Daytime, Sunrise & Sunset Active Lava Viewing

I did the 17:30 lava boat on 2018/08/06 with my husband. It was really an amazing trip. We took Dramamine 30 minutes before the ride, and both of us were free of sea sick. I wear a poncho but still got wet of my hair. Strongly suggest to bring towels and may consider wearing wool cap and glasses. Actually, the ride of lava boat was really scary to me（one-hour of “roller coaster“ before reaching the lava view~）The sunset in the sea was beautiful, so did the glowing lava in the dark. The lava was easier to be seen in the dark, so the sunrise or sunset boat was recommended.
The trip was made of lots of fun. If you are In good health（especially without herniated disc or heart disease), and with adventurous attitude, the lava boat trip is a "must-do" for you, at least once in a life time!

A wonderful way to experience the diversity of the island. There were frequent stops with ample time to enjoy the site and/or walk the trails. Many foods to sample along the way and delicious lunch! Awana was an informed and entertaining guide who was flexible throughout the day to make sure we could get the best experience.
