It was a large boat, so I didn't mind the rocking. It probably depends on the sea conditions, but last year, when my mother participated in a different tour, she got seasick and had to sit out. There were interesting parts, like digging up the pig, but the prices felt too high. The fire dance at Fukushima's Hawaiians is much better. The food wasn't delicious. Also, it rained during our visit, and we got soaked. The hotel parking is only free for three hours. If it were around 5,000 yen, I could somewhat recommend it.

While I take full responsibility for mistakenly booking this thinking it was a dinner cruise in Oahu, I think it would be considerate to mention the level of rocking and the time and transportation options from each resort to the port.

My wife and I did not have a car for the week but wanted to see the Island for what it had to offer. This tour came to our Hotel and picked us up as well as brought us back and gave a view of the Island most people would not be able to see. Our driver Nathan was excellent and gave us a relaxed and informed trip and even gave us some extra insights that a book would not give. The views were amazing and gave you an option if you wanted to come back and stay for more indepth viewing. I would recommend going with a tour to really get the flavor of the Island.

It is hard to know which cruise to book--well this is the one I would go with each time! The crew were knowledgable and respectful! As we came into the bay, their were a pod of spinner dolphins; we kept a respectful distance but we all got to take photos. Then when we pulled into anchor and snorkel, they made sure we knew to keep our distance from where the dolphins were swimming, since the dolphins come to the bay to rest it is even more important for people to give them their space--so impressed with the crew.

The snorkeling was beautiful. The coral was amazing and at many different levels with sooo many different species of fish!! Fabulous!

I participated in a 150-meter parasailing tour. It was my first experience. I parked my rental car in the public parking lot of the Kamehameha Hotel, where the reception office is located! (After checking in, if you hand over the parking ticket, you can get a discount on parking fees for up to three hours. Don't forget your parking ticket if you park there.)

All communication with the reception staff was in English. The instructions for how to ride and safety guidelines were in Japanese, though. After completing the check-in, I was informed of the meeting time and took a little break.

We headed to the pier, boarded the boat, and set off! The parasailing goes up to about 40 meters high. I thought it would be more windy, but it felt like I was floating gently, and it wasn't scary at all. My friend, who has a fear of heights, was able to ride normally too.

This is a winter limited event, so I thought I had to go this time! There were hardly any Japanese people, and the explanations were in English, but I was able to enjoy the atmosphere! As for the whales, I was able to see their tails and spouts, although it was from quite a distance. I think there were quite a few of them. However, I couldn't see them as close as it was mentioned on the reservation site, so that was a bit different from my expectations.

Every year during New Year's, I go to the Big Island (Waikoloa) and Oahu. My wife and I had our first submarine experience, and I couldn't believe we were diving more than 17 to 20 meters underwater. I was looking for activities that even a one-year-old child could enjoy, and this was perfect for us! The colorful fish were clearly visible through the beautiful glass bottom of the boat, and luckily, we even encountered a pod of dolphins. The dolphins came right up next to the boat, which was so much fun.

The guide was very knowledgeable about the fish and was a wonderful person with a great sense of service. The explanations were in English, so those who understand English will enjoy it more, but even if you don't understand, the beauty of the sea itself means you won't be disappointed.

The boat ride lasts about an hour. The sea was calm, and the boat didn't rock, but since you tend to look down at the glass bottom, I think it's a good idea for those who are prone to seasickness to take some motion sickness medication. The meeting point was easy to find, and I think you'll spot the boat with the blue and yellow flags right away.

I definitely want to use this service again next time!

The manta rays really swirl right in front of you. You can almost touch them if you reach out, and they even bump into your underwater goggles or the camera you’re holding. It was an incredibly thrilling tour. The downside was the language barrier. My husband and I were the only Japanese people there, so we didn’t understand most of the explanations, but it was still manageable. Also, it was quite cold. The ocean at night gets chilly. The people around us didn’t seem to mind as much, so if you’re not sensitive to the cold, you should be fine.

While looking at the voucher at the hotel, I realized I had overlooked the part about confirming by phone at 4 PM. We were supposed to check in at a store in the shopping center at 6 PM and gather at the local port at 6:30 PM. We originally planned to have an early dinner near the shopping center, and since I wasn’t confident in my English skills, I went directly to the store before 4 PM, and they helped me with the check-in process then. For those staying at the Sheraton, you can depart from the port, which is just a short walk from the hotel, so you don’t need a car.

During my stay on the Big Island, I saw parasailing and wanted to try it, so I made a last-minute reservation two days prior. Before boarding the boat, we confirmed safety instructions at the office, and there were also materials available in Japanese! Most of the communication on the boat was in English, but with gestures and body language, I was fine even though I don't speak English, so I think you don't need to worry. It's best to wear your swimsuit, as you will get wet. You can bring your own camera and hold it while flying, which is allowed. I didn't sign up for it, but it seemed like you could also request paid options for photos and videos on the day if you wanted.

We did not have the best experience, but I think it's based more on our skill level than the tour itself. If you're not in good shape (physically fit) it can be difficult. Make sure you use sunscreen ahead of time. The instructions when we signed up said that you would be provided reef safe sunscreen, however, that was not offered. The rocks are difficult to climb up on and if you don't have proper foot wear you can be easily injured. I think the tour is probably great for more "fit" people... We don't know because we left halfway through. I would stress that there is risk involved in this activity and life jackets are provided but not mandatory (in my opinion should be mandatory).

The marine activity introduced in the program "Ariyoshi's Summer Vacation" was truly enjoyable. The handsome guide who appeared on the show supported us during the experience.

On the day I participated, there were two groups, making a total of five people: a nice guy as the guide, two Japanese men, and two foreign women. We gathered at the meeting point at 9 AM. The office isn't located on the beach at Keauhou Bay; instead, they transport the kayaks using a pickup truck and trailer. We headed towards a general location, and if we were unsure, there were offices of other activity tour companies nearby where we could show our voucher and kindly ask for directions.

In the program, it seemed that the waves were too high to enter the caves, but on the day I participated, we were able to experience everything without any issues. We even got to dive from a considerable height of cliffs, which made the activity feel incredibly fulfilling.

After the tour, I was invited to lunch, but I had other plans for the afternoon, so I declined. However, I think I would have enjoyed it if I had gone.

When getting out of the water during snorkeling, there were times when the waves pulled us back, causing some scrapes and cuts on the lava rocks. One of my companions actually got a small cut on their finger and foot. I recommend bringing not only marine shoes but also marine gloves.

午前9時に現地集合。ケアウホウ湾のビーチにオフィスがあるわけではなく、ピックアップトラックとトレーラーにカヤックを載せて運んでくるスタイル。だいたいの場所を目指して行き、わからなければ他のアクティビティツアー会社の事務所があるので、バウチャーを見せて聞けば親切に案内していただけました。
番組では、波が高く洞窟には入れなかったようですが、私の参加した日は問題なくすべて体験できました。相当な高さのクリフからもダイブすることが出来、アクティビティのやった感は半端ないです。
ツアー終了後にランチに誘われましたが、午後からの予定を別に組んでいたためお断りしましたが、行っても楽しめただろうな～。
シュノーケリングから岩場に上がる際、波の引き戻しで溶岩の岩場で擦り傷切り傷を負うことがあり、実際に同行者が指と足を少しだけ切りました。マリンシューズだけでなくマリングローブの持参がお勧めです。

I was able to swim with a lot of dolphins. They came so close that it was almost unbelievable. It was a little scary, as I thought we might collide. It was the most moving experience I've ever had. However, I was surprised that there was no guide; only the captain was present. The captain signaled from the boat, and I had to make my own judgment and move in that direction. I think this might be tough for first-timers. A guided tour where someone swims with you would definitely be more reassuring. I can speak enough English, so I had no trouble communicating. The captain's English was also easy to understand, so I recommend it for those with snorkeling experience. I was looking forward to snorkeling in Kealakekua Bay, but since we went after swimming with the dolphins, the intensity of the dolphins made the fish feel a bit underwhelming. However, I was lucky to see a whale on the way to Kealakekua Bay.

So, while the time is stated as 20 minutes, that is the time spent interacting with the dolphins; in reality, I think we spent about an hour and a half to two hours in total.
The experience activity is quite pricey, but in return, you receive thorough lectures, and the satisfaction level is high. Since the age range for Kids Quest is 5 to 9 years, I felt it was the last chance for my child at this age, and I'm glad we participated.

All lectures and instructions are in English, but they explain things clearly with gestures, so even children can understand well.

なお、講義やレクチャー等全て英語ですが、ジェスチャーを交えてわかりやすく説明してくれるので、子どもでも十分理解していました。

Thanks to the first day of Golden Week, we were lucky to have the place to ourselves and could paddle at our own pace.

Both of us were complete beginners at kayaking, but we were taught very carefully, and their Japanese was excellent, which made us feel at ease.

We were able to enjoy snorkeling at a leisurely pace without feeling rushed until we were satisfied. They even provided us with food, which attracted a lot of fish.

However, despite the cloudy sky, I ended up getting a good sunburn, so I recommend applying plenty of sunscreen.

My first kayaking experience left my arms tired, but I enjoyed the ocean in Hawaii.

ゴールデンウィークの初日のおかげか、当日は私たち夫婦だけの貸し切りで、自分たちのペースで漕ぐことが出来てラッキーでした。
二人とも全く初めてカヤックを漕いだのですが、とても丁寧に教えていただき、日本語もお上手だったので安心出来ます。
シュノーケルも私たちが納得するまで時間も急かさずゆっくりと楽しめました。えさも与えてくれたのでお魚もたくさん集まってきました。
ただ曇り空にも関わらず、しっかり日焼けをしましたので、日焼け止めはたっぷりと塗った方が良いと思います。
初カヤックは腕が疲れましたが、ハワイの海を楽しめました。

My wife wanted to play with dolphins, so she participated alone. I didn't join and just watched from the side, but opportunities to interact closely with dolphins are rare. It looked like she was having a great time just watching. When I asked her later, she said it was really fun, and I thought to myself that I should have participated too. It does come with a certain cost, but considering the emotional experience you gain, I think it's worth participating!

妻がイルカと遊んでみたいというので妻のみ参加しました。私は参加せず傍らで見ていただけですが、間近でイルカとふれあえる機会などそうあることではありません。みているだけでも楽しそうでした。
あとで妻に聞いてみても、すごい楽しかったようで、私も参加しておけばなぁ…と思いました。
それなりの費用はかかりますが、得られる感動を思えば参加してみてもいいと思います！
