We went to Hawaii to celebrate my parents' 60th birthday. Since we were in Hawaii, I wanted to do something truly Hawaiian, so I signed up for this tour. Neither my parents nor I had any experience with horseback riding, and we were very worried before getting on the horses, but the moment I mounted the horse, all my anxiety disappeared, and I felt excited. For about an hour and a half, we enjoyed a leisurely ride, listening to the sound of the hooves and breathing in the fresh air of nature. My parents said that this horseback riding experience was the highlight of our time on the Big Island.

The tour was conducted entirely in English, so everyone except us were foreign participants. Even if you don't speak any Japanese, the guides communicate in broken Japanese, saying things like "stand" and "danger," so I don't think you need to worry too much.

Also, it takes about 25 minutes to travel from the meeting point to the riding area by wagon. I saw some comments mentioning that the travel time was long, but that's because we slowly descended the steepest slope in the U.S., and the guide explained the scenery we could see from the window, making it not boring at all; in fact, it was fresh, adventurous, and fun!

It was also more affordable than Japanese tours, and I was very satisfied!

せっかくハワイ島に来たからには、ハワイらしいことがしたいと思い、こちらのツアーを申込みました。
僕も両親も、乗馬の経験は皆無で、乗る前までは非常に心配していましたが、馬にまたがった瞬間、これまでの不安は消え去り、ワクワクした気持ちになりました。そこから約1時間半、のんびり馬にまたがりながら、蹄のコツコツという音と、大自然の新鮮な空気を吸いながら過ごす時間は最高のものでした。両親も、この乗馬がハワイ島で一番のハイライトだと言っていました。
ツアー自体は全て英語で行われるため、ぼくたち以外は皆外国人の参加者でした。全く日本語が出来なくても、カタコトの日本語で「立って」や、「あぶない」など言ってくれるので、そんなに心配は要らないと思います。
また、集合場所から馬乗り場まではワゴンで25分ほど移動します。移動時間が長いというコメントもお見かけしましたが、それは全米1の急斜面をゆっくり下るためと、ガイドが車窓から見える景色を説明してくれているからであって、全く退屈せず、むしろ新鮮でアドベンチャラスで楽しかったです！
日本語のツアーよりもお値ごろでしたし、大満足です！！

This was one for the books for my wife, and I. You need to know how to swim and snorkel. The Manta Rays were swimming all around us eating the plankton, it was very active during the 45 mins. One went inverted and swam about 1" from our chests. We recorded the footage with a GoPro! This is a bucket list adventure. I would recommend this to anyone!

I planned to arrive 15 minutes before the opening, as I heard that this show tends to get quite crowded. However, the "Kamehameha Court" is located beyond the "Lagoon Tower," which is the farthest from the "Ocean Tower" where I'm staying. Even using the tram, it's best to allow at least 15 minutes for the journey.

Thanks to arriving early, I was able to secure a seat right in the middle, which offered the best view. (By the way, I booked a standard seat.)

I believe the show is the "Tropical Show" held at "Spa Resort Hawaiian," which I saw in a TV commercial before.

If you don't have a relaxed attitude of "enjoying the show while having a meal," some people might end up disappointed. I thought, "In any case, I'm going to have a meal, so I can enjoy a drink without my wife nagging me!" The participation fee is also quite high, so it varies depending on each person's style.

ショーの内容は、以前テレビコマーシャルで見た『スパリゾート・ハワイアン』で行われている『南国のショー』がこれに当たるのだと思います。

『食事を摂りながらショーも楽しむ！』ぐらいのおおらかさがないと、失望される方もいらっしゃるのではないでしょうか？
私は、『何れにせよ食事も摂るのだし、家内にぐだぐだ言われすにお酒が飲める！』との考えでした。
参加費用も高いので、各々のスタイルにより変わってくると思います。

I couldn't do fast walking or running, so it felt a bit lacking for someone with riding experience. When I asked the staff on site, they told me that if I go towards Kohala, there are spacious fields where I can ride.

As the only Japanese participant who didn't understand English that day, I approached the experience with a spirit of challenge. I was given a brochure with clear explanations in Japanese about the ship and the whales. While the staff were attentive with drinks and other services, I felt that there was a slight lack of effort in helping customers spot the whales. I was able to see a few jumps and blows faintly, but I thought the price for this activity was too high, even considering the cost of living.

この日の日本人参加者が、英語の分からない自分1人だったこともあり、どうなる事か…と、チャレンジ精神で臨みました。日本語で分かりやすく記載されている船内やクジラの説明のリーフレットを渡されました。係員の方々は、飲み物など、気を配ってくださいましたけれど、肝心なクジラをお客様に探して見てもらおうといった姿勢が若干欠けていたと感じました。

We’ve taken this cruise several times and love it every time! The food is excellent, the crew is so accommodating, the music is relaxing and Captain Rick is the best. The water was a little ruff so the crew waited on us hand and foot. Captain Rick was funny and went further out in the ocean to avoid a rain shower on the way back so everyone didn’t get soaked. Oh! And Boyd is full of history stories about the island. We strongly recommend this dinner cruise for everyone. There were 2 elderly people on the cruise and the crew got them on board and to their seat safely. We would rather take this cruise then go to a luau. Great job Body Glove!

My trip to the Big Island always includes this snorkeling cruise.

First, we enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fruits and muffins. Along the way, we encountered whales and dolphins, and then headed to Captain Cook's destination. We had a fantastic time snorkeling in the beautiful sea and indulged in a BBQ lunch with hamburgers on board.

During snorkeling, even though I was in shallow water up to my knees, the current was strong, and I was swept away, becoming a feast for sea urchins. Thanks to my fins, I managed to protect the soles of my feet, but I ended up with 30 spines in my left ring finger, 20 in my right index finger, and countless others that I discovered later. I thought I had to remove them right there, so I endured the pain and pulled them out, somehow making it back to the boat. I was pushed back by the waves multiple times, leaving my knees and thighs covered in cuts and bruises, and I had significant bruising on my ribs, but the pain from the sea urchin stings was unbearable. My left ring finger swelled up black and was completely immobile, and even a light touch caused excruciating pain... the power of the sea urchin is terrifying.

The staff treated me with vinegar, which eased the intense pain a bit, but it was still an extraordinary level of discomfort. If you are careful about the current in shallow waters and the sea urchins, you can have a wonderful time!

まずは新鮮なフルーツとマフィンの朝食。

足ヒレのお陰でなんとか足裏はガード出来ましたが、左手薬指に30本、右手人差し指に20本、その他後から傷口見たら数え切れないほどの長い針が刺さってしまいました。とにかくその場で抜かねば、と思い、痛みをこらえ抜き取り、なんとか船へ戻りました。何度も潮に押し戻されたので膝と太腿は切り傷にアザだらけ、肋骨は打撲とかなりの怪我でしたが、ウニに刺された部分がとにかく痛すぎでした。左手薬指は真っ黒に腫れ上がり全く曲げられず、ちょっと触るだけでも激痛…恐るべしウニパワー…
ヴィネガーが良いとのことで、スタッフが処置してくれ激痛が気持ち和らぎましたが、尋常ではない痛みでした。
浅瀬の潮の流れ、ウニにはくれぐれも気をつけさえすれば、素晴らしい時間が過ごせます‼︎

The meeting time was 7:30, but we were actually called to the boat around 8:00. I guess it's the laid-back Thai time… I was a bit disappointed since I woke up quite early.

The meeting place is very hard to find; it's the building on the beach adjacent to the Waikoloa Beach Marriott Resort. It feels more like a makeshift hut than a beach house.

The weather was great on the day, and we were able to see whales about 12 times. My mother, who joined me, seemed very satisfied! However, it was quite cold, so having a windbreaker or something similar would be a good idea.

The explanations were only in English, and there were no brochures or anything. They will say, "Look in the direction of the time!" in English, so please make sure to look quickly in that direction!!

When getting off the boat, you will get wet up to your knees, so I definitely recommend participating in a skirt or pants that can be rolled up!

「○時の方向を見て！」と英語で言われるので、迅速にその方向を見てください！！

The weather was great, and the explanations were excellent, making it the best flight. It became a wonderful memory of the Big Island. I was worried that the helicopter might be canceled due to an unexpected eruption until the day of the flight. I'm glad we were able to fly safely. The view from the powerful helicopter and the sight of the eruption were breathtaking. However, I wished I could have seen the volcano up close a bit more. Well, I suppose safety reasons prevent that.

First off The Two outstanding parts to this tour was Jeff; The Tour Guide and The Stars. Tour Guide Jeff, detailed intellect to the stars was fun and educational without being obnoxious. Felt very fortunate to have him as our guide. Even though the clouds didn’t corporate fully that evening the Sunset was astounding even at nine thousand foot elevation.
The Rudeness of One Local Park Ranger that evening was disappointing to witness by all in the group. He made a big deal to our Tour Guide to move the company van by honking his horn repeatedly when all he had to do was ask politely Not Nice. The other disappointment was The Gift Shop closing very early and while they were closing the gift shop personnel Didn’t allow access to the Restroom for the many guess that were present at the time. Gift shop took about 15 minutes to close up shop and during that time could’ve allowed access to Restrooms. Thank You Jeff !!! for saving our visit

First off, big thanks to Jeff for being an entertaining and super knowledgeable guide. Great customer service as well. They called us early on in the morning to let us know, to our dismay, that we wouldn’t be able to get up to the summit for our particular trip (due to many weather related circumstances that were out of their control). It was a huge bummer, but like I said, still 100% worth it to attend the abbreviated version of this excursion. I’m more of a street smarts kinda guy if you know what I mean, Jeff made everything so easy to understand and so interesting to everyone attending the trip. He was able to answer every single question we had. I swear the guys a living encyclopedia. Long story short there should be no hesitation on your part to take this once in a lifetime trip. Set aside the funds you need to experience this NO. MATTER. WHAT.

It was so lucky to sit next to the pilot! The best view and nice weather. Kind and well-experienced pilot. It was expensive but worth trying.

Just the recording of the flight for US$40 was too high. And the conflict with the USB being ready and the bus schedule was too tight.

NB: Check my pick-up time on the voucher!!! It was actually the flight schedule. I was about to miss the biggest event of the trip!!!

This is my second time (the first time I applied directly).
It's difficult to get there on your own, but we go all the way down to Waipi'o Valley.
The horses are well-trained, and you can enjoy horseback riding with a simple lecture.
(They walk on their own without you having to do anything. Haha.)
Since they are living creatures, they stop along the way to eat grass as they please,
and they also take bathroom breaks while walking (which is another memory).
We even crossed a river. It was swollen from the rain a few hours earlier, but the horses moved forward without hesitation.
They also take commemorative photos for you.

Please enjoy the lush green trees, flowers, and horses of Waipi'o.
If you visit the Big Island, I highly recommend it!

自力では行きずらい、ワイピオ渓谷の下まで行きます。

I was really able to swim with dolphins. The experience was incredibly moving! Looking back now, I'm glad I was able to make a reservation!

Although I had no snorkeling experience and went out into the ocean, thanks to the support and advice from the swim instructor, I was ultimately able to see the dolphins up close, and I'm really glad I went!

The captain loves the ocean, dolphins, and whales more than anything, and I realized that because of that love, there is so much he can understand and teach us. His love for the animals was overflowing, and that's why we were able to have such an amazing experience. We went to Umauma Falls Zipline last week and had a blast! Although it nearly rained the entire time, the crew were nothing but the best! Always laughing, making us laugh, and allowing us enjoy the amazing beauty of the falls. You have to do the 9-line to get the best experience! Definitely recommend for anyone on the Hilo side!

We participated as a family of four. Our family was the only group on the tour, and we had one female guide with us. After preparing the saddles, we received instructions on how to ride and handle the horses. Everything was in English, but as long as you closely follow the guide's movements, you'll be fine! The handling instructions were just four basic commands: "go," "stop," "right," and "left," so it wasn't difficult.

And finally, we set off! Along the way, we even challenged ourselves to a canter while climbing up the vast ranch towards the mountains, and when we looked back, the stunning view of the Kohala Coast came into sight. It was a wonderful view, and I'm sure you can enjoy a refreshing feeling.

All the horses are well-trained and safe, but each horse has its own personality. The horse I rode seemed to dislike mud and chose to walk on dry ground, even if it meant staying away from the other horses. In contrast, the horse my wife rode seemed to love water and splashed right into the puddles. While we experienced a bit of the difficulty in controlling the horses, it was a fun time. I highly recommend that everyone try this experience!

[Additional Note]
The wind from the mountains felt cold, so even if it's sunny, I think it's better to borrow a jacket. Also, the horses will walk through puddles and muddy areas, so your shoes might get wet or dirty, so it's advisable to borrow boots as well. Both are available for free.

家族4人で参加しました。ツアー参加者は私たち家族のみ。ガイド役の女性が一人付いてくれました。鞍の装着などの準備が整い、次に馬の乗り方や扱い方の説明を受けました。全て英語ですが、ガイドさんの動きをよく見てその通りにすれば大丈夫！　馬の扱い方といっても『進め』『止まれ』『右に』『左に』という４つの基本的な動きの伝え方だけなので難しくありませんでした。
そしていよいよ出発です。途中、駆け足にも挑戦しながら広大な牧場を山の方に向かってどんどん登っていき、振り返るとコハラコーストの絶景が目に飛び込んできました。素晴らしい眺めです。爽快な気分が味わえるはずです。
どの馬もよく調教されていて危なくはありませんが、各々の馬に個性があります。私が乗った馬は「ぬかるみ」が嫌いらしく、他の馬から離れてでも乾いたところを選んで歩きました。と思えば妻が乗った馬は水に入るのが好きなようで水たまりにジャブジャブと入ります。思い通りに動かす難しさを少々味わいながらも楽しい時間でした。皆さんもぜひ体験してください！

【追記】
山からの風は冷たく感じましたので晴れていてもジャケットは借りたほうがいいと思います。また、水たまりやぬかるんだところを馬が進みます。靴が濡れたり汚れたりすることもあるかもしれませんのでブーツも借りたほうがいいと思います。いずれも無料でお借りできます。
