This is my fourth time on board. At some point, it has become a promise between my husband and me that "when we come to the Big Island, we will participate in the Fair Wind activities." As always, I'm excited to visit the beautiful bay and scenery. Actually, I tend to get seasick, so I usually struggle with boats. However, the Fair Wind catamaran has minimal rocking, which allows someone like me to feel safe while on board. I've been on it four times and have enjoyed myself without getting seasick even once. Watching the fish is fun, but sliding down the slide attached to the boat while shouting "Yay!" and "Wow!" truly brings me back to my childhood and is the best time ever. It's also nice that lunch is prepared at just the right time. The crew members are all friendly and amazing. I definitely want to go again next time.

４回目の乗船。いつの頃からか「ハワイ島に来たら、フェアウィンド号のアクティビティーに参加する。」というのは、私達夫婦の御約束事みたいになってしまいました。風景と美しい湾に行くのは、いつもの事ながらわくわくします。実は、私は船酔いするため船は、苦手中の苦手なのです。しかし、双胴船のフェアウィンドは揺れが少ないことから、こんな私でも安心して乗船できます。４回乗船しましたが、１度も船酔いすることなく楽しむことができました。お魚を見るのも楽しいですが、船についている滑り台を「きゃー」とか「わー」とか叫びながら滑り落ちるのは、まさに童心に戻って最高の時間です。調度よい時間に昼食が準備されるのも良いですよね。
クルーのスタッフは、みんなフレンドリーで最高です。また次回も是非行きたいと思っています。

A fantastic adventure! We rowed down the coast--explored and rolled into a couple of caves. Snorkeling and cliff jumping into clear waters--everything we could ask for. Our guide-(Kayla)-sorry--I know that's wrong---was great. Good instructions on kayaking basics---knowledgable about the area---she knew her stuff. My wife and I--both 50-ish--were blown away. We would highly recommend this trip and this company. Thanks for a great day!

This is my third time, and it's always great no matter how many times I participate. It's truly a wonderful time, like being in a dream. This time, I didn't see anything in the first half, so I gave up and went back to the boat, took off my wetsuit, and was drinking cocoa when suddenly it appeared! I hurriedly grabbed my camera, put on my snorkeling gear just as I was, and went back into the sea. I'm so glad I got to see it!

今回で3回目ですが、何回参加してもいいですね。
本当に夢の中にいるような素敵な時間です。
今回は前半全く現れず、諦めて船に戻りウエットスーツを脱いでココアを飲んでいたら現れたではありませんか！

Absolutely fantastic. Our two guides were extremely knowledgeable about the Island and told us things that you would only get on a tour. The kayaking was a blast and we had visibility to 100 feet. We went kayaking into a sea cave and were also able to snorkel there as well. We saw many fish, urchins, and even an eel in a tidal pond that our guide took us to. I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants to cross off their bucket list, kayaking across the bay/ocean, seeing ancient tombs, and being face to face with God's wonderful creation of the Island. Eka Canoe provided a great tour. The small group size gave a really good guide/tourist ratio. The fact that the boat sailed from Keauhou Bay meant that we only had a short (about five minutes) ride to the viewpoint. The experience of watching these creatures was fantastic. They are wild animals, so one never knows what to expect. I did not see the "inverted loop" feeding behaviour that is usually shown in promotional videos, but I saw four mantas cruising mid-way between the bottom and the surface. It was a remarkable experience. The crew and guide looked after us well. They were booked up for the remaining evenings that I had on the Big Island or I would have returned for a repeat tour!

Since I was staying at the Sheraton near Keauhou Bay, it was easy to get around, and because it was an early morning tour, I was able to spend my time meaningfully. Although I didn't encounter any dolphins or sea turtles, kayaking was a fun experience that I don't often get to do. Compared to Oahu, the water was very clear and beautiful. Viewing the Big Island from the sea was interesting as I could feel the volcanic rock formations and the lush greenery.

ケアウホウ湾近くの、シェラトンに宿泊していたため、移動が楽で、早朝ツアーということもあり、時間を有意義に過ごせました。イルカやウミガメには出会えませんでしたが、カヤックを漕ぐことが、普段なかなかできない体験なので楽しかったです。オアフ島と比較して、海もとても澄んでいて綺麗でした。海の上からハワイ島を見ると火山性の岩の地形や、緑の自然を感じられて面白かったです。

It was such an amazing experience, my husband and I decided to buy a kayak, at some point. The guides were also awesome and they told us some history, as well as helped us found objects that we dropped out of they kayak. One guide actually found my husbands wedding ring that fell off his hand when he jumped off one of the cliffs. It was truly amazing and such a fun time with the group!

We participated as a family of four, including my parents and my 5-year-old son. Fortunately, we had a private tour just for our family. Since my son wasn't feeling well the day after we arrived on the Big Island, we were able to change the usual course and enjoyed kayaking in the nearby bay area. They were very considerate, and my parents even tried snorkeling, which seemed to make them very happy. I would love to participate again if there’s another opportunity.

Kayaking with Kevin (owner and our guide that day) was a lot of fun! Kev was very nice and friendly. He did a quick briefing on how to use the kayak and the paddles. And we were on our way exploring bay after bay and caves after caves. There were plenty of locations to snorkel. Kev took great photos, too! He brought us fresh tropical fruits for our snack and they tasted soooo good, especially after the snorkeling and paddling! King Kayak Hawaii is definitely the company to book this adventure with! This activity was totally worth it. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. The canoe was very cool, too. We saw plenty of manta rays. If you like small groups for night snorkel, then this is your best bet. Hot cocoa was provided after the swim. We had a lot of fun! This is definitely a must-do and I highly recommend Eka Canoe for your reservation!

We loved the day out. Our guide was super friendly, informative and easy going. He handled the group of non english speakers with us really well. And he gave us great local info. We kayaked, snorkeled, cliff dove, snorkeled again, ate and it didn't feel rushed at all. Had an intense moment staring into the clear blue water while snorkeling - most memorable moments of my trip. I've taken three different groups on three different manta swims and this one was the best! I really liked how we were tethered to the boat so that inexperienced snorkelers and people that got cold could easily climb back on the boat while the rest of us could continue to enjoy the mantas. Because we were on the moonlight swim, we were in the harbor by ourselves by the end. All the mantas (four total that night) were ours to observe. It was awesome.

This is really a must-do for your Big Island trip.

Had a great time! Learned a lot about the environment and other tidbits along the way to and during the zip line. The safety lecture was very thorough. Brett and Rogan were very informative, friendly, knowledgeable, and funny throughout the day. We took a couple of our friend's young teenagers and we all had a great time. We were looking forward to this as the best part of our vacation, but we're very disappointed. We arrived at the dock area, and out guide told us it might be a little cold and windy out but that it would not affect our tour of we still wanted to go out. We decided to go, and kayaked a mile and a half through very choppy waters. Exhausted by the time we reached the sea caves, our guide turns to us and tells us it is too rough to do any other part of the tour and we have to turn back. We ate the snacks they had packed and paddled back. No refund offered and no one let us know before hand that we would not get to do half the tour. The guide was very nice, but there should be some sort of refund policy if only a partial refund....

Adventurous and Interesting Tour!

This tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Kona! Our guide Nate gave us lots of great information on the history of the island, the places we were visiting, and general Hawaiin activities. We kayaked in the ocean for about 1.5 hours total, so this tour is definitely for active people. We explored some sea caves, did some cliff diving, and snorkeled in a cove, and met the local eel as well.

We had a great time on this excursion. The ride on the raft to the snorkeling sites was exhilarating and relaxing as we took in the beauty of the Kona landscape. We chose this excursion because we were able to snorkel at two different bays ( including Captain Cook's monument). The only disappointment was not seeing more different types of fishes (saw about 5-7 different types per area) and more fishes overall. Our captain and shipmate took good care of our group of 9. The Captain gave us a history of the many caves and cliffs that we visited. They also provided us with fresh fruit, soda, chips, and cookies during the rides. Bonus was seeing a couple of dolphins and mountain goats. A fun afternoon snorkeling made this trip memorable.

The staff on the boat were fantastic. We were all very patient but only 1 manta ray showed, and stayed for about 1 minute so that was disappointing. we were offered another night on the house but we were flying out the following day, and they don't offer refunds.

I participated in an optional tour for my honeymoon. The guide and most of the participants were foreigners, and all explanations were in English. There was a Japanese version of the initial instructions. I think it's a good idea to use the restroom before boarding the boat (there is one on the boat, but I was worried about the lock). I wore my swimsuit under my clothes from the start. It might be better not to bring too many valuables... I might have had some, but I couldn't find them. You can leave your belongings on the boat!

From the meeting point to the boat, it takes about 30 minutes to reach the Captain Cook Monument. On the boat, they serve fruits, hamburgers, snacks, and drinks, all you can eat and drink at your leisure! I guess breakfast and lunch are combined? You will get full. When we arrive at the snorkeling spot, there is a brief explanation, and then everyone can freely dive into the sea (directly from the boat). You can borrow a full set of snorkeling gear and a float, and there was also something like a bodyboard for kids to see underwater. It's quite deep, so of course, your feet won't touch the bottom, but it's just beautiful! There are lots of corals and fish, and it was very moving. If it gets cold, you can return to the boat to drink warm coffee, sunbathe on the boat, take a little break, and then dive again... You can stay at the spot for about an hour and a half, so you can take your time ( ˘ω˘ ). The boat has a diving board and a slide, so I never got bored. I didn't get bored just diving either, haha.

The guides were all very friendly, and I was able to talk a lot even with my broken English!

It's an experience that you can only understand by going and experiencing it. If you're going to snorkel in Hawaii, I definitely think this tour is the best! I would absolutely want to participate again (^^).

ガイドさん、参加者、ほぼ外国の方で説明はすべて英語です。最初にもらった注意書きは日本語版がありました。トイレを済ませて船に乗るといいと思います。(船の中にもあるけど、鍵が不安)
水着は最初から洋服の下に着て行きました。
貴重品はあまり持たない方がいいかも…あったのかもしれませんが、探せませんでした。船の上では荷物置きっぱなしです！

集合場所から船に乗り、キャプテンクック記念碑まで30分程度です。
船の中でフルーツ、ハンバーガー、お菓子、飲み物が出て、全て好きな時間に食べ飲み放題！朝食と昼食が一緒なのかな？お腹いっぱいになります。
シュノーケルスポットに着くと、少し説明があってそれぞれ自由に海に潜れます。(船から直接)
シュノーケル道具一式と浮輪も借りれるし、子供には海の中が見えるようになってるボディボードみたいな物もありました。
かなり深いのでもちろん足は届きませんが、とにかく綺麗です！サンゴも魚もたくさんいてとても感動しました。
寒くなったら船に戻って暖かいコーヒーを飲んだり、船の上で日向ぼっこしたり少し休憩してまた潜ったり…スポットに滞在するのは1時間半くらいなのでかなりゆっくりできます( ˘ω˘ )
船には飛込み台と滑り台があるので全然飽きませんでした。私は潜ってるだけでも飽きませんでしたが笑
ガイドの方達はとても気さくな方達ばかりで、片言英語でもたくさん話す事が出来ました！

行って体験しないと分からない感動です。
ハワイでシュノーケルするなら絶対このツアーがいいと思います！また絶対参加したいツアーです(^^)

Very professional and safety conscious organization. The kayaking was fantastic! They spent time with the beginners to help them feel comfortable and let those with some experience go at their pace also. Ben and Noni were our guides and they were very knowledgeable, took us to a beautiful snorkeling place, dove down a grabbed things off the bottom for us to see and led us to a great sea cave. Do this one day while you are in Hawaii!!!

I met Kevin for the first time in six years, and once again, I was able to enjoy kayaking comfortably. I was able to enter "Dragon's Throat," which I couldn't do before due to high waves, and the tour photos are a wonderful keepsake. I'm looking forward to participating again.
