Even for me, a first-time snorkeler, I was able to relax without a floatation device thanks to the guide's suggestion, "Mom, you'll be fine without a float, you can do it," and I entrusted my children to them, allowing us to fully enjoy the beautiful world of dolphins. I am truly grateful for being able to share such a happy experience with my children! I participated in a morning tour. It took less than an hour on a larger boat to reach the snorkeling point. There were chairs and tables in the cabin on the first floor where we could have breakfast and lunch, and since there was only one snorkeling spot, we were able to relax and enjoy it. The water at the spot was clear, and there were plenty of fish.

Captain Morgan (ikr) was exceptional. This tour was very personal. It's 6 people tops. So you don't feel crowded on the boat. Not like some of the other snorkeling excursions. I highly recommend this company :) They also stop at 2 spots. Instead of 1!!! We got to see dolphins too. Great times :)

It was disappointing that the sea wasn't very beautiful due to the cloudy weather, but I enjoyed a relaxing cruise and snorkeling. You need to get to the meeting point on your own (I took a round-trip bus. I got a bit flustered when I mistakenly went to the wrong bus stop on the way back). The staff primarily speak English, but if you print out your reservation details and show them at the counter, it's fine even if you can't speak English (I can't speak it at all). Also, I forgot to make the pre-call by the day before, but it was no problem when I arrived at the meeting point an hour early on the day of the tour. There seemed to be over 50 people on the tour, and we were the only Japanese, but the local staff were very accommodating and seemed familiar with Japanese people, so there were no issues.

当日は曇っていた為、海がそこまできれいではなかったのが残念でしたが、のんびりクルージングとシュノーケルが楽しめました。
集合場所までは自力で行く必要があります（往復バスで行きました。帰りのバス乗り場を間違えてちょっと焦りました）。スタッフは基本英語ですが、事前に予約内容を印刷していきカウンターで見せれば英語が話せなくても問題ありません（自分は全く話せません）。また、前日までの事前電話を忘れてしまっていたのですが、当日1時間早く集合場所へ行ったら問題ありませんでした。ツアーは50人以上いたようで、日本人は自分たちだけでしたが、現地スタッフは非常に対応が良く、日本人にも慣れているようで問題ありませんでした。

From the start, we encountered many pods of dolphins. I was able to fulfill my dream of "swimming with dolphins"! Both the guide and the captain were truly wonderful people, and they know the waters of Kona inside and out, making for a completely satisfying tour without any complaints.

Moreover, we stopped the boat for just a few minutes before spotting dolphins. While it seems that such luck doesn't happen every time, thanks to Captain K's sound judgment, we were able to encounter the dolphins quickly. He was able to instantly gauge the direction the pod was moving and efficiently took us to the dolphin spot without wasting any time.

This time, the dolphins seemed to be in a great mood, and we saw around 50 of them! They were close enough to reach out and touch (though touching the dolphins is prohibited). It was truly an unforgettable experience.

Guide R, despite being young, was very knowledgeable about Hawaii's history and shared many interesting things with us after the tour. I absolutely recommend this dolphin tour!

The main focus of this tour was on the water slide and jumps on the boat. A good activity for families with young children. The snorkelling was average, as was the snorkelling gear provided. Most people snorkelled only for about 20 minutes before getting back to the boat. We saw a lot of dolphins on the way back though, which was excellent. Overall, a good activity got families. As a young couple, we felt it was a bit too noisy for us.

The captain was cheerful, and out of the 15 people on board, there were four of us: my wife, our friends, and me. We held on tightly to the ropes as we set off, experiencing the thrilling rafting that felt like we might be thrown into the rough waves at any moment. Although there were many young couples around, we, even those of us in our sixties, had a fantastic time. It seems that the spots where you can encounter dolphins change depending on the day. I think it took about 30 minutes before we first met a dolphin, but after that, we were able to swim with them 4 to 5 times. The staff guided each participant to get as close to the dolphins as possible, and I felt like I could reach out and touch them as they swam so close!

That alone was satisfying, but by chance, we also encountered a seal, of which there are only seven on the Big Island! On our way back, we were able to see a manta ray up close as well!

The staff kept saying, "Since you've come all the way to the Big Island, I want you to make lots of memories," and they were always searching for more experiences for us.

Thanks to the thoughtfulness of the staff, I made the best memories, and I am very grateful! It seems that starting around September or October this year, there may be a possibility that swimming with dolphins will no longer be available, so please be sure to participate!

We encountered many dolphins, and snorkeling was fun. But above all, the high-speed boat was thrilling! However, after snorkeling, the wind was quite strong and cold, so a jacket is necessary!

I participated at the end of April with a total of six people: my family of four, plus my father and mother.

The one-hour boat ride to our destination was pleasant and enjoyable. Drinks and snacks were provided, and we could help ourselves. The staff were very cheerful and kind, efficiently preparing snorkels and fins in sizes that suited everyone.

Upon arriving at the bay with the Captain Cook monument, it was finally time for snorkeling. I was worried about whether my six-year-old daughter and my 66-year-old father would be able to participate, but there were plenty of floaties and body wraps available, so we could enjoy it with peace of mind. The water was a bit cold, but it was great to see so many colorful fish.

On the return trip, we encountered a pod of dolphins. Dolphins gathered from all around, swimming alongside the boat and jumping around us. We were able to see their cute appearances and behaviors for about 20 minutes, which was very moving.

I created many wonderful memories. Next time I visit the Big Island, I definitely want to join the Fair Wind snorkeling tour again. Thank you very much.

キャプテンクックの記念碑がある湾に到着し、いよいよシュノーケルです。
娘は６歳、私の父は66歳だったので出来るか心配していましたが、浮き輪や体に巻き付ける浮具がたくさん用意されていたので、安心して楽しめました。海は少し冷たかったですが、カラフルな魚がたくさん見れて良かったです。

帰りの船ではイルカの群れに遭遇しました。あちこちからイルカがたくさん集まってきて、船と並んで泳いだり、周りでジャンプしたり、、
20分ほどイルカの可愛い姿や仕草が見れて、
とっても感動しました。
本当に素敵な思い出がたくさんできました。

次回、ハワイ島に行くときは必ずまたフェアウィンド号のシュノーケルツアーに参加したいと思います。ありがとうございました。

Since we were looking for wild dolphins, there was no guarantee we would see them, but it seemed like he was using his experienced intuition to search for them. Normally, it takes about an hour to find them, but in our case, we encountered them just one minute after departure and were able to swim with them for a long time.

I participated last September, and thanks to the experienced guide, I was able to encounter pods of dolphins multiple times, creating the best memories. I definitely want to join again when I go to the Big Island! I highly recommend it!

My husband and I went snorkeling and it was amazing! We saw Captain Cook monument and snorkled the most beautiful part of Hawaii. The boat tour was so much fun, we saw so many dolphins. Our boat driver and helper were super friendly. This is a must! Don't second guess just book it...your adventure begins here!

Mike and Deanna were our guides this afternoon. They were quick but thorough in equipping everyone and explaining what to expect. The snorkeling was amazing. Though the wind picked up more than expected, they skillfully guided us back across the bay. Great experience that was enhanced by Mike's tales of the history of the bay.

Amazing kayak and snorkel

We went as a family of four with two girls, 10 and 8,neither of whom had ever snorkelled. (but both had kayaked). We did the afternoon tour and were really lucky to see the spinner dolphins on the way to and from the snorkeling. The ethos of the tour was amazing. Once spotted, we stopped paddling and let them come to us, no chasing, no interference and Deanna and her colleague (sorry, forgot his name), clearly care so much about the reef and local wildlife, very much respecting it and observing rather than chasing it down. Once on the reef they showed us local plants, and got all our goggles ready for snorkeling. As my kids hadn't snorkelled before they were botha bit scared, but Deanna was super helpful, and got in with them. Once they looked down they were off, and didn't want to come in. Snacks and drinks were provided, as was a history of the Captain Cook monument. Would highly highly recommend.... No guarantees you will get dolphins, but incredibly safe and clear snorkeling, best I have seen and clearly run by people who care most about maintaining the reef and wildlife for future generations.
