This excursion is a must do. The views were incredible. It does take time to get there, 2 mile row in after which you hike for about 1.25 miles to the falls. Shawn is super polite and well educated in many topics regarding the lava, plant life, history and sites on the islands. He was particularly helpful in suggesting to us to change the itinerary so we could see the active eruption and we are so happy he made the suggestion. 100% well worth the private tour.
