It was just a transportation contract, so there wasn't much to it. Perhaps due to the busy season and the shuttle service, there were some delays. While it seemed that others weren't giving tips, when I gave one, they were very pleased.

The driver spoke English and was very kind! No need to worry if you can't speak English! The view from the top is amazing!

The bus company staff were near the bus stop, and it was easy to identify them because they were wearing yellow aloha shirts. It was convenient to be dropped off right in front of the hotel.

バス会社の人はバス停のそばにおられ、黄色のアロハだったのでわかりやすかったです。

A group of three close friends for 40 years. We had always wanted to visit Hawaii together, and this year, we celebrated our 60th birthdays and made that dream come true! We were moved by the beauty of Waikiki from the summit of Diamond Head. The journey to the top was not as tough as we expected, and even after turning 60, we were able to enjoy the scenery while climbing.

ダイヤモンドヘッド山頂から見るワイキキの美しさに感動しました。
山頂までの道のりは思ったよりもキツくなく、還暦過ぎでも景色を楽しみながら登ることができました。

Totally recommend you do it. Yes hard work but worth it at the end.

The parasailing was included for free. We went around Waikiki and headed to Ala Moana Shopping Center. From the second-floor seats, it was wonderful to enjoy the pleasant breeze while looking at the beach and the canals. The friendly and lively talk from the driver was also enjoyable. Mahalo!

The Diamond Head hike was absolutely unforgettable—a perfect blend of adventure and breathtaking views. The tour was smooth and hassle-free from start to finish, thanks to our awesome bus driver, Moko, who brought the perfect mix of local knowledge and good vibes. He made everything easy, from pick-up to drop-off, setting the tone for a brilliant morning. Reaching the summit and taking in the panoramic views of Waikiki was the ultimate reward—definitely a highlight of the trip

The bus arrived 15 minutes before the meeting time, so I was relieved to recognize it right away. While looking for various activities during my free time, I found an event that piqued my interest and made a reservation. Since it was a new service, I boarded with excitement. The female staff member greeted us cheerfully in Japanese and explained the equipment very thoroughly. The device can be adjusted to fit each individual, allowing for a personalized setup. Once the video started, multiple power stones appeared. By using my palms to grab them, I could hear various explanations about Hawaii's history.

As a tip for grabbing, I was able to catch several by quickly and firmly grabbing them. My husband mentioned that it was difficult to react with long sleeves, so it might be better to roll them up. While listening to various scenery and explanations in the video, we quickly reached the final stop. The staff were very cheerful, and I was grateful that they took photos for us after getting off the bus.

集合時間の15分前にはバスも到着しており、このペイントなので直ぐにわかり安心しました。
スキマ時間に色々探していた所、未体験で興味を持ったイベントを見つけて予約しました。まだ新しいサービスとの事でワクワクしながら乗車　スタッフの女性は日本語で明るく接して頂き、装置説明もとても丁寧に教えていただきました。頭に装置をセットし個々に合わせてサイズ調整も可能な為、自分サイズでセット出来ます。映像が流れだすとパワーストーンがいくつも現れます。自分の手のひらを使ってグッとつかみゲットするとハワイの歴史や色々な説明を聞く事ができます。
つかみ方のコツとして私は素早くグッとつかむ感じでいくつもゲット出来ました。主人は服の袖口が長いと反応しづらいと言ってたので袖口はまくってた方が良いかもしれません。映像で色々な景色や解説を聞きながらアッと言う間に終点。
スタッフの方がとても朗らかでバス降車後に写真も撮って頂きありがたかったです。

Picked up on time, arrived at Diamond Head with plenty of time to take pictures etc. Family friendly tour, the malasadas were so yummy! Great views, no rush to finish the hike.

The sunrise at the summit was breathtaking, the hike up is a bit hard as it is dark out, but the views from the top make every step worth it!

I had a great time moving around leisurely while enjoying the scenery to reach my destination. When I go to Hawaii, I mainly rely on the trolley for transportation, so I use it every time.

I signed up with my grandparents in their 70s. One great point was that the admission fee for Diamond Head was included. It took about 20 minutes to get from the hotel to the Diamond Head parking lot, and it took about an hour to hike up and around 30 minutes to come back down, giving us plenty of time to look at souvenirs. We also enjoyed the driver explaining the sightseeing spots during the ride!

70代の祖父母と申し込みました。
ダイヤモンドヘッドの入場料込みなのも良い点でした。ホテルからダイヤモンドヘッドの駐車場まで20分程度で到着し、行きは1時間程度、帰りは30分程度で下山することができ、お土産を見る時間も十分ありました。
車中では、ドライバーの方が観光スポットの説明をしてくれたのも楽しめました！

Yet again another excellent tour from VELTRA and Operators. Bus driver Tommy was funny and more importantly on time, he gave us all the information we needed. We climbed at 9am and did it in 20mins as we wanted a workout. Spent some time at the top, taking in the views. Made our way down slowly, sat under the trees in the park and waited to be collected by Tommy. All done by 1130am. Perfect!

The Viking was a bit tiring, but it was worth the climb! The view was spectacular. The guide was also very kind. I'm glad I participated.

This tour was the perfect way to start the day in Oahu. Getting picked up early was great to get to reach Diamond Head in time for sunrise views, absolutely worth the early wake-up.

I was able to see beautiful scenery, and it was great that I could take photos along the way. This is my second time on this line, and I would like to ride it again!

I was glad that there were many buses. I think the interval between the next bus was just right. Be careful as it shakes quite a bit inside the trolley.

バスの本数が多いめでよかったです。次のバスの時間もちょうど良い間隔だったと思います。トロリー内は結構揺れるので注意です。

I'm a little worried if I can make it to the top when looking up from below.
On the well-maintained hiking trail, I arrived at the summit before I knew it.
The weather was perfect, and the view was amazing.

LeaLea Trolley - Complete Coverage of All Routes

The East Oahu Scenic Line offered thrilling views that I thoroughly enjoyed. This time, I rode it four times. The color of the ocean changes depending on the time of day. No matter how many times I ride, the scenery never gets boring. It seems that the first morning trip tends to be crowded.

東オアフ絶景・ラインは、スリル満点で絶景を楽しめました。今回は、4回乗りました。
時間帯により違う海色が見えます。
何度乗っても飽きない景気でした。
朝一便目は混み合うみたいです。

Mathew the Shuttle driver was great, provided us with lots of information and recommendations.

They came to pick me up earlier than scheduled. After signing some documents, we moved to a few other pickup locations and then headed to Diamond Head. Once everyone gathered, the guide started. I only understood about half of what was said, but it seemed like most of it was jokes. Everyone except me seemed to be native English speakers. However, it was no problem at all if you couldn't speak. The entrance fee and reservation for Diamond Head were handled by Veltra, so you can get in without doing anything. I was dropped off at the entrance of Diamond Head around 8:40, received a bottle of water, and was told to be back by 10:30.

The hike to Diamond Head takes about 30 to 40 minutes one way. There are many bumpy areas and stairs, so I recommend wearing sneakers. It can be quite windy and relatively cold at the top, so having a light jacket might be a good idea.

After coming down, I relaxed on a bench and looked at souvenirs. I was a bit anxious when the return pickup didn't arrive on time, but I thought, "This is America, so it’s probably normal." You also receive water on the way back, which you can decline if you don't want it. The drop-off location can be either the pickup spot or your hotel if it's nearby.

I gave a $10 bill as a tip, which seemed to be the average amount based on what I saw from other participants. I joined as a solo male traveler, but I wasn't singled out or anything; it was a straightforward and nice tour. If you can understand some English, this option is cheaper than a Japanese guide with tips included, so I think it's sufficient. For those who can use Lealea, it's easy to go that way. If you take The Bus, you get dropped off in front of the tunnel, so there's quite a bit of walking, but it's cheaper.

予定の時間よりも早く迎えに来てくれました。書類にサインして、他のピックアップ場所へ何箇所か移動して、ダイヤモンドヘッドへ。全員集合すると、ガイドが始まります。半分くらいしかわかりませんでしたが、ジョークが大半だったような気がします。私以外は英語ネイティブっぽかったです。でも喋れなくても全く問題なしです。ダイヤモンドヘッドの入場料や予約はベルトラがしてくれますので、何もしなくても入れます。8:40くらいにダイヤモンドヘッドの入り口で降ろされて、お水渡されて、帰りは10:30にココ！と言われました。
ダイヤモンドヘッドへのハイキングは片道だいたい30〜40分くらい。ガタガタのところや階段も多いので、スニーカーをおすすめします。上の方は風がとても強くて、割と寒いので、薄い上着あるといいかもしれないです。
降りてきてからは、ベンチに座ってのんびりしたり、お土産みたりしていました。
帰りは時間通りに迎えが来ず、少し不安でしたが、アメリカなのでそんなもんだろうと。
帰りも水を渡されます。要らなければ断れます。降ろす場所はピックアップ場所か、泊まってるホテルが近ければ送ってくれます。
チップは余っていた10ドル札を渡しました。他の参加者を見ててもそのくらいが平均かなと思います。
男1人で参加でしたが、特にいじられることもなく、さっぱりしていて、いいツアーだと思いました。
多少英語が聞き取れれば、日本語ガイドチップ入りよりも安いので、こちらで十分だと思います。
レアレア利用できる人はそれで行くのが楽です。ザ・バスで行くと、トンネルの前で降りるので割と歩きますが、安いです。

I felt that a trolley is absolutely necessary for a stay in Honolulu. The LeaLea Trolley has many routes, and the courses are set up with tourists in mind, making it very fulfilling. Just riding it allows you to feel the essence of Hawaii, and the cost performance was great.

ホノルル滞在にトロリーは絶対必要だと感じました。LeaLeaトロリーは路線数も多いし、観光客目線でコースも設定されており、充実した内容でした。乗ってるだけで、ハワイを感じれるコスパもグッドでした。

Amazing crew and experience ♥️🐢 saw several turtles and so much more with explanations by the staff

The driver was polite and it was great. It was a very good hike that we could do in two hours with elementary school children, going up and down. The weather was nice, and the view from the top was wonderful. There were also many elderly people and those with babies.

ドライバーさんが丁寧で良かったです。小学生子供連れて、２時間で、登って降りて来れる、とても良いハイキングでした。天気も良く、頂上からの眺めは素晴らしかったです。お年寄りも赤ちゃん連れの方もたくさんいました。

When you think of Hawaii, you think of the trolley while feeling the breeze. You can enjoy it just by riding along without doing anything, and I believe this is more of an attraction than just a means of transportation.

It's helpful that they sell tickets separately without going through His, but since the pandemic, the discount tricks are no longer available, and it's too expensive, so I reduced my rating. However, you could say it's lucky that it's less crowded than before.

Be careful as the railings are so open that you might drop something. Hats can fly off, and depending on the driver, they might start moving before everyone is seated, and some drivers have rough driving styles. This is not Japan. Everyone should be cautious and take responsibility for themselves, as you shouldn't ride with a Japanese mindset.

Because of this, infants and toddlers can only sit in priority seats that are covered by railings (it feels scary to sit anywhere else). If you start from the first train, staff will guide you to the priority seats, but if you're boarding from the suburbs and there are no seats available, you should actively ask others to make space for the priority seats. Many drivers lack the Japanese language skills to explain this.

This is what Hawaii is all about.

風を浴びながらのトロリー。
何をしなくても、ぼけーっと乗っているだけでたのしめる、これはもはや移動手段じゃなくアトラクションだと思っています。

Hisを通さず旅行しても、
こうやって単品で売ってくれて助かるのですが、コロナ後からは裏技の割引も使えなくなり、高すぎますので星を減らしました。
ただ、昔より空いていてラッキーともいえます。

ものを落としそうなくらい足元の空いた柵なのでくれぐれも注意、
帽子は飛びますし、ドライバーさんによっては着席前の発車もザラ、
荒い運転のかたもいて、
そこは、日本ではありません。
みなさんくれぐれも、日本の感覚では乗らないように、自己責任で。

そのため幼児や赤子は柵が覆われた優先席しか乗れません(怖くてそこじゃないとという感じ)
始発からだと係員に優先席を案内してもらえるのですが、郊外などからのる場合、
空いてなければ自分から積極的に優先席を開けて欲しいと、声をかけましょう。
ドライバーも、それを説明するほどの日本語力がない方が多いので。

やっぱりハワイは、これです。

Tommy picked us up early at a neighboring hotel/resort. As soon as we arrived, he mentioned me and my son by name and I signed a sheet stating we were present. He was kind, patient, relaxed and informative about the area offering great suggestions on different locations. This experience included our entrance fee to Diamond Head State Monument, transportation to and from the hotel. Our hike was moderate and offered beautiful scenery and awesome photo opportunities. The only area I felt somewhat claustrophobic was going into the tunnel on the way up. Tommy provided cold as well as room temperature water and the ride back was comfortable and convenient as we were dropped off right in front of our resort. Thank you for a great experience! Mahalo!

I experienced the new attraction Xplore Ride, which was also introduced at HIS events.

I participated from the afternoon of my arrival day. Since I arrived in Hawaii in the morning and couldn't check into the hotel until the afternoon, it was a nice point that I could join during the free time. The tour departs from Royal Hawaiian Avenue next to DFS. I was worried about getting lost, but the large bus with a blue ocean illustration caught my eye, and I was able to find it right away. There are also lunch spots nearby, like Aloha Table and Sticks, making it convenient to join before or after lunch.

After telling my name and boarding the bus, I took my designated seat. I heard that the bus is a brand new custom vehicle for this tour! The ride was comfortable, with luxurious seats. Before departure, a staff member provided an explanation. Following their instructions, I put on the VR goggles that were prepared at my seat, and I immediately saw a language selection button in front of me. When I reached out, I pressed the selection button, and it switched to Japanese mode. They mentioned that it uses AR technology to overlay real-world images with virtual space, and MR technology that connects the virtual world with the body, which made me excited for this first-time experience.

Once the headset and language settings were complete, the tour started. The bus route goes around Diamond Head and returns, and it wasn't a long ride. I was worried about feeling dizzy due to lack of sleep, but I was able to enjoy it without any issues until the end.

During the tour, a guide named Manta appeared. He shared various attractions of Oahu and information about Hawaii. The experience of reaching out and connecting with the virtual space, where dolphins and fish appeared from Waikiki Beach, and scenes where I completely entered another world were filled with many creative elements that kept me engaged. There are many highlights, but I’ll refrain from spoilers. Please be sure to experience it for yourself!

The duration of the tour is easy to participate in. I highly recommend it for both enhancing your knowledge of Hawaii and enjoying a new experience! Thank you!

HISさんのイベントなどでも紹介されていたXplore Ride。気になる新アトラクションを体験してきました。

私は到着日の午後から参加しました。ハワイの到着は現地午前中、ホテルは午後までチェックインができないので、あいた時間に参加できるのは嬉しいポイントです。
ツアーはDFSの横、ロイヤルハワイアン通りから出発します。迷わないか心配でしたが、海の青いイラストが書かれた大きなバスがアイキャッチになり、すぐに「これだ！」と見つけることができました。近くはアロハテーブルやスティックスなどランチ所もあるので、ランチ前後の参加も便利そうです。

名前を伝えてバスに乗ったら、指定の席に座ります。バスはこのツアー特注の新車とのこと！乗り心地も気持ちよい、高級感あるシートでした。
出発前に係の方から説明があります。いわれるがまま席に準備されたVRゴーグルを装着すると、既に何やら言語選択のボタンが目の前に。手を伸ばすと選択ボタンが押され、日本語モードになりました。現実世界の映像と仮想空間が重なるAR技術、バーチャル世界と体が連動するMR技術とのことですが、始めての体験に既にワクワクです。

ヘッドセット、言語セットが完了したら、ツアースタート。バスのルートはダイヤモンドヘッドを一周して戻ってくるコースで、そこまで長時間ではありません。寝不足でデジタル酔いが心配でしたが、最後まで問題なく楽しむことができました。

ツアーでは案内役のマンタが登場。様々なオアフ島の魅力やハワイ情報を教えてくれます。手を伸ばしてバーチャル空間と繋がる体験、ワイキキビーチからイルカや魚が現れたり、完全に異世界に入るシーンもあり、飽きさせない工夫がたくさんでした。見どころは色々ありますが、ネタバレになるので、控えておきます。是非実際に体験してみてください笑

Beautiful waterfall, and a gorgeous hike in. We had just enough time, a perfect tour.

Last March, I was able to see the sunrise from the summit. This year, I climbed to the summit around 8:30 AM on April 17, but isn't it impossible to see the sunrise from the summit in April? The gate opens at 6 AM, and the sunrise on April 17 should be around 6:10 AM, but it takes more than 10 minutes to reach the summit, so wouldn't it be a sunrise seen from partway up?

昨年3月に山頂から日の出を見ることが出来ました。本年は、4月17日に山頂へは8時30分ごろに登りましたが、4月は山頂から日の出が見るのは無理なのではないですか？ゲートが6時に開門して4月17日の日の出は6時10分ごろのはずですが、10分で山頂までは行けないので、途中からの日の出になるのではないですか？
