Great show but the provided transport got us there late

We appreciated the Chief's showmanship and humor as well as the dancers. Food was very good and we were thoroughly entertained.
Only negative is that we bought the package with transportation and it got us there after all the cultural activities were finished. That was disappointing since we could have just Ubered over and skipped the bus ride. Keep in mind that this Luau is quite a ways from the Waikiki area.

Nice show but food

My family are really excited to have luau buffet and the show and this was main activity for our trip. Overall show and music was great. But the buffet food was not. Luau pork was dry and chicken was hard to chew. Also desert was not at that quality for the price.

I visited over ten years ago, but this time my friend wanted to go, so I accompanied them. Previously, it was a one-day tour, so we could experience various activities, but this time we chose a course that only included a meal and a show, which meant there were some things we couldn't do and places we couldn't enter, making it a bit disappointing. However, the meal was a buffet with a variety of options, so I was even unsure about what to eat.

The show was incredible, far surpassing what I had experienced before, with amazing sound and visuals. The performers' passionate dancing made me truly glad I came. I thought that even though the price was a bit high, I would definitely want my friends who didn't participate this time to go next time.

以前は1日ツアーだったので，色々と体験ま，出来たのですが、今回は食事とショーのみのコースを選んだので、出来ない事、入れ無い所も有り少し残念でしたが、食事は数々の種類からビュッフェ形式で選べるので，どれを食べるか？迷う程でした。
ショーは、以前とは比べ物に成らない程、音響，映像等も素晴らしく、出演者の方々の一生懸命なダンスに本当に来て良かった。と心から思いました。
料金的に少し高いと参加しなかった友人達にも是非次回は行って欲しいと思いました。

Anyone who plans to visit Hawaii must see the show- Breath of life. It’s one hr thirty minutes long but it’s worth every minute of it.

The Gateaway buffet has plenty of dishes to offer and we had like 2:30hr to savor the food. My favorite was Tuna Sashimi, cut fresh from a fish on display. Every station has four different varieties of dish.

The villages are fantastic. Each one is unique in terms of activities and entertainment. Staff were mainly Uni students.

I have 5 star rating to PCC.

The luau was entertaining and informative. The food was good too. Staff did a good job of moving 500 people through the lines. Only two watered down drink tickets. The free choices were only offered at one stand. For 500 people. Not enough.
I enjoyed the pictures on arrival. I think more opportunities for pictures would have been good.

I participated alone. This show is spectacular and definitely worth attending. We gathered near hotels in Waikiki and took a large bus to the Polynesian Cultural Center, which took about an hour. The meal before the show had a wide variety and was good, but I thought the portion of steak was a bit small. I reserved seats quite close to the stage, and many performers showcased traditional dances one after another, energizing the venue. The fire dance, in particular, where they weaved through flames multiple times, was moving. The show had plenty of time, and you could feel the performers' dedication. The arrangements for the return bus and the timing until departure were also precise. The price and content are very well balanced.

This was an outstanding luau. I had read some reviews complaining that drive there goes through a industrial area. Who cares!? Once you arrive you are in a secluded, gorgeous property on the ocean.
The food and entertainment was outstanding. I went back for seconds on the pig, which they actually roast in the ground the traditional way.
This luau is the best bang for your buck on the island.

Whenever I'm planning to join a tour, I always wonder if it'll be fun for the kids too. Even though it's a bit pricier, choosing the Friday luau in the courtyard by the lagoon was a great choice! Even if the kids got a bit bored halfway through, they could play on the grass for a bit. And the best part was it was free for kids under 4, which was super awesome! What made me even happier was the kids buffet corner, with kid-friendly foods like Tater tots, Teriyaki chicken, and meatballs etc. We made some fantastic family memories in Hawaii.

The show was a blast, featuring dances from the various Polynesian islands.
There were even a few fire dancers, which the kids absolutely loved.

We were bummed we couldn't see the final fireworks from our seats, but watching them up close from right in front of the hotel was an incredible experience. Totally satisfied!

Amazing and warm welcoming staff on every corner; the performances are top notch, we were entertained to a great FINALE show, Buffet Dinner was overwhelming!

We loved and enjoyed learning a lot of things about the Polynesian culture! All the performances were just by fat the best. I love the activities in each country that you can participate in, hands on and fun too!

My son is a typical “everything boring” esp by the wnd of the day, but as soon as the lights went off for the “HA” show he was mesmerized and totally enjoyed it.

We wanted to experience the LUAU dinner but I think we did not look through good enough with the package we bought. Buffet Dinner was not bad at all…just missed seeing a traditional lu’au

This was my 2nd Luau ever and this one was way bigger than I expected. I would say at least 500 people or more! liked the entrance it was beautiful. I did feel like a bit of herd of cattle coming in. We got seated pretty close to the stage which was nice for us non VIP’s.
The pre show activities were ok. We got temporary tattoos and watched a guy climb up a coconut tree.
The pig coming out of the ground was kinda gross but interesting. As far as the actual food goes, it was just OK.
The pork and rice was good. the chicken and fish were bland. The chocolate cake for dessert was dry. The pineapple was good, very juicy.
The show itself was very good & entertaining. It moved fast which we liked. Overall it was a fun experience. My young daughter liked the dancing & we were able to get a picture with some of the dancers

I think it's recommended for those who want to enjoy different cultures, as there are many flavors that are not found in Japan.

Regarding the show, one point of evolution since before COVID is the fire dance. It has significantly evolved from about four performers to a maximum of around ten.

After experiencing many luau all across Hawaii, I can happily say that Mauka Warriors is one of the best I have had the pleasure of attending~

Pick-up from Waikiki was hella convenient, and even though we hit traffic on the way to the luau, the guide was great about keeping everyone informed and telling us interesting facts, history, and stories about Hawaii.

Once we arrived, we were greeted with a fresh flower lei (get the Mo'i Experience y'all!) and were escorted to the front row!!! WHOOO! With so many activities to do, and being able to order drinks from our phone made it a great start to the whole evening.

The food at Mauka Luau was pretty tasty too, and I loved that they had both poi and lomi lomi salmon, but their fish was the highlight of the menu for both me and my friend.

But the main event was def the Mauka Warriors Luau show, and omg...it was amazing. The fire knife dancing was some of the best I have seen in all of Hawaii, and even the kids were literally fire on stage, but I really loved that they incorporated Hawaiian and Polynesian warrior culture and history into a story rather than just a bunch of random songs and dances.

10/10 would definitely recommend!

Too long of a time before the food. The moving from station To station to see the different classes. Should be performed on the stage during wait time. When it was time to eat it was crazy. I was told they would call tables at a time. Didn't happen. It was a stampede..Food was taken away quickly. Just seemed uncoordinated the customer service seemed unapproachable.

Best part was the exit out of the venue.. but wait that was my doing.

Although it rained and we had to stay indoors, the fire show and both the hula and Tahitian performances were really wonderful! It might be a good idea to line up early to secure good seats. The food was delicious as well. It was unfortunate that the drink pickup location was hard to find, and in the end, we ran out of time to get them.

There was so much to see and do. We thoroughly enjoyed the demonstrations and musical presentations. We learned how to make poi, husk coconuts, and weave palm fronds, among other things. The dinner buffet was the best ever, with so much variety in the wide range of menu items. The theater presentation “The Breath of Life” was outstanding! Kudos to all the young university students who work so hard to provide such a unique cultural experience. Everyone was warm and welcoming. This was our second visit (previous one was in 1986) and we were not disappointed. We would return again in a heartbeat!

It was a venue near the Disney Hotel! I had a great time with mini activities before the show and browsing the gift shop. ☺️ I was lucky enough to ride a canoe for free and saw a sea turtle in the beautiful sea nearby!!!

For those celebrating birthdays or anniversaries, you can go up on stage, which allows for various experiences and is a lot of fun! There are also couple dances, so you can fully enjoy the overseas atmosphere, and I highly recommend it. I went in late March in Japan, but it gets chilly at night, so it might be a good idea to keep a cardigan handy.
