Good Food and GREAT show

Went as 2 couples to the show and it was a blast. We got two free Mai Tai's each and they were good, not watered down. The show was AWESOME, it told a lot of history and the Chief was quite funny. The fire spinning was great and very cool. They have a few world champions doing the show.
It is buffet style, and they have two different lines when you go to the buffet. There is a Pick your own food, and a server prepared plate. The server prepared they give you a little of each things. You can go back later and get more of what you want. The Pick your own food is slow and it will take time, but the other line is very very quick.

Doing things during COVID-19 can be a real pain in the butt, but the organizers for Chief’s Luau made it very easy. This show is awesome! The Chief is so funny & warm, & you can tell he’s a good guy. The food was delicious, but I wish that some things were a little warmer, like the noodles & the sweet potato bread. I recommend going through the customization line, since you can just tell them you don’t want the fish or the chicken or whatever. The show was fun & entertaining & I think it’s worth every dollar I paid! I would totally see it again.

It was out first time at a Luau & we had a wonderful time. It was such a great experience, the food was amazing & everyone was so friendly. We weren’t sure about it being at a water park but once you’re seated, you would never know it was a theme park. Definitely recommend!

What a great intimate Polynesian experience! The luau was the highlight of our trip. Our host, Bill, was awesome, as well as Chris, who shared how they cook and serve their traditional meals. Beautiful and exciting dancing. The food was delicious. We really felt the Ohana spirit! Highly recommend!

Hilton Waikiki Beach Front Luau & Fireworks Show - Friday Night Exclusive!
It's more for the experience

We got the premium tickets and actually got sat front and center which was great for our kids (4, 6 & 8). That also meant though that one side of the table was blinded by the sun for the first part of the show until the sun dipped below the trees (small price to pay for front and center). We didn't realize that with the premium tickets even the kids got extra drink tickets that could be used for juice or alcohol. My kids were never going to drink that many juices so we used them to get a few extra Mai Tai for us...but word of advice if you wait for the server to get the drinks you will never be able to get through your tickets because they are split between so many tables so grab them from the bar yourself. The show was great my kids especially liked the fire dancers. The food was just ok but we expected that as it's hard to serve that many individual plates at once. The only thing my kids would eat was the shredded pork and fruit so if you have kids who are picky eaters make sure they eat a little something before hand.

Such an amazing experience!

This is my first Luau in Hawaii and my boyfriend and I absolutely enjoyed it! The location was spot on. We loved the location, since it was in front of the beach. The venue gave us a tropical vibe. When it came to the food I wasn't too sure if I would enjoy the kalua very much because I am not a porky person. However, after seeing my boyfriend eat the kalua I gave in and tried it myself. Surprisingly it was quite delicious! Too be honest, the food at Germaine's was spot on! Despite the salad, I wasn't to fond of it. Other than that, it sort of reminds me of L&L's lol. I love the idea of giving each person a ticket for one free drink, I thought that was a nice gesture. My favorite part of the evening was the fireshow and the show's overall! The dancers, story, history, and the people were all beautiful. My only wish was that their were more males show haha. I mean, I love the hula girls but where are the mens! Overall, I will definitely come back here with my friends and families..venue, food, and the experience did not disappoint at all. Thank you Germaine's for your great hospitality! Aloha, Cece
Aloha Cece, Thank you for taking the time to write about your experience at our family luau. I'm happy you took the chance and tried our "Kalua" or roasted pig, that was cooked traditional way in our underground oven, called an "Imu". It does have a different taste when it's cooked that way. Our salad is made real "local" style, usually macaroni & potato together, and similar to L&L but glad you enjoyed everything else overall. We have added a few more male dancers, as several of our male dancers are also in the Military reserves so not always available. We hope you will return one day and visit us again!! The show was phenomenal, food was tasty and views spectacular. I misread and thought it was open seating, but it wasn't. It was well organized, staff were definitely hospitable and the show was truly entertaining even my kid who doesn't like anything like the whole experience. It is a must see! MAHALO!

Would recommend trying to get the Royal (VIP) seating for better seating for the show! I booked Paradise (General) because the Royal was already sold out for the date that I was available.

Great fun, lively and interactive show.

The food was pretty good. Much better than a couple other luau’s that I have been to in the area. They offered a plate with a little of everything or you could go through the line and pick only what you wanted. They had pulled pork, fried chicken, fried fish, salad, rice, asian noodles, cooked taro root, rolls and for dessert white cake with white frosting and pineapple chunks. They offered individually packaged condiments of ranch dressing, Tabasco sauce, ketchup, soy sauce, butter, as well as small cups of poi and pico de gallo.
We had the royal package and had great seats. The seating was set up in tables of 4. My husband sat side by side and another couple sat on the other side of the table. We had another table of 4 right next to us. The Covid seating restrictions have been relaxed significantly as of June 21st when we went.
The royal package benefits that the paradise didn’t get is drink service at the tables (paradise have to walk to bar), 3 free drinks, fresh orchid lei (paradise get nut lei), closer seating to stage, first to go to buffet.

I can not recommend this enough!! If you are on Oahu it is worth the trip to Waimea Valley. This was my family & I's absolute favorite thing we did in Hawaii! It was incredibly personable, authentic, and overall an amazing luau. They were all very nice and made a point to come to every table and talk with all of the guests. They even went above and beyond by helping the table next to us and walking their baby around in the stroller so that they could eat their dinner. Everyone was in awe at how amazing the crew made this experience for everyone. They were truly enjoying teaching everyone about the Polynesian culture from the Polynesian Islands, and it made the experience that much better. Can not recommend enough! GO GO GO!

This luau had some really good food. The drinks were ok but could be better. I had gone to a different luau and had our own table so when they told we're sitting with others I was surprised but wasn’t bad. Also the benches could use some cushion. By the time the show started my butt was already hurting.
Aloha Grisel, So happy that you enjoyed our Hawaiian/American buffet, local style. I'm not sure how many were in your party, but once the covid guidelines were altered, it allowed us to seat at least 10 ppl at a table with a little distance between parties. So sorry the picnic style benches weren't so comfortable, but it's difficult to have cushioned tables out there on the beach exposed to the heat and sunshine all day, especially since we don't have a covering overhead. The picnic tables were chosen so that people might have that kind of backyard style BBQ with family feeling in mind when they think of a luau on the beach, and because regular tables just weren't stable in the sand.
