I was able to see both dolphins and sea turtles, as well as many other fish. The instructor was swimming with an octopus in one hand. The taro burger on the water was quite delicious. I only experienced a little bit of hula dancing, but it felt simple enough that I think I could do it. Although the morning starts early, it was a fulfilling experience that didn't feel like just a half-day tour. The staff were all bright and kind, making it a tour that anyone can enjoy!

It seems I was lucky on the day I participated, as a large group of dolphins was found right away. Even without swimming, just floating with my face in the water, I could see the dolphins swimming just below us! There were baby dolphins too, and their calls were so clear; it was incredibly moving. We moved to another spot and also got to see sea turtles and beautiful fish. I was able to try stand-up paddleboarding as well, so I was very satisfied!

However, this time, for the seventh visit, there were no dolphins... The sea was indeed quite rough, and it wasn’t a situation where the dolphins or turtles could relax.

During the cruising, the staff really tried to lift our spirits more than usual, but it was still disappointing. It seems that the dolphins headed to a completely different location from where they usually are, and the captain mentioned that it would be difficult to chase after them once we received that information due to time constraints. I was satisfied that I could go to the western sea, which I couldn't visit on my own, and swim with dolphins. However, the snacks were a bit disappointing. I had an amazing day that exceeded my expectations! First of all, our guide, Julie, was truly wonderful and great at getting everyone excited, which raised our spirits even before we saw the dolphins! Unfortunately, there was a boat from a dolphin protection organization that day, so we couldn't swim with the dolphins, but we were still able to see many wild dolphins up close, which was very moving. I participated with my sons who are 5, 7, and 9 years old. They had never snorkeled in deep water before, so they were really scared. I managed to take them out twice with floating vests, but on the third dive, my son said he didn't want to go and stayed on the boat.

After about 20-30 minutes out at sea, we encountered a pod of dolphins. It was said that there were probably around 80 of them, and we hit the biggest pod of the year. During the day, they were swimming while half-asleep, so we couldn't see them jumping, but it was a rare experience to hear their sounds and see baby dolphins.

It gets cold when you come out, so it's better to bring a hoodie or something similar. I participated wearing a rash guard and leggings, but others rented wetsuits for about 1,000 yen. I think it would be cold without one.

I participated because it had been my dream since childhood to swim with wild dolphins. I had to wear a life jacket the whole time, which was a bit disappointing compared to what I imagined a dolphin swim would be like, but I was moved when I heard the dolphins' voices and when they swam right underneath me. I thought the first boat would have a better encounter rate, but it was full, so we took the second boat. We departed the port after eating malasadas.

It took quite a while to reach the point where the dolphins were, but since it was summer vacation, there were seven children under 12 on board. Thanks to that, we were able to try three times and see dolphins each time, which was great. To be honest, it felt more like watching the dolphins swim underwater rather than swimming with them.

I wore a long-sleeved rash guard, so I didn't rent a wetsuit, but after getting out of the water and heading to the next point, it was a bit chilly.

There was a place to store luggage under the seats on the boat, but in some spots, people got soaked from the waves.

私は長袖のラッシュガードを着用して行ったのでウェットスーツはレンタルしませんでしたが、海から上がりまた次のポイントまで船を走らせると少し肌寒かったです。

手荷物は船の座席の下にしまう場所がありましたが場所によっては波がかかりずぶ濡れになってる人もいました。

その後カメに会えるシュノーケルポイントに移動しカヌーやスタンダップ・パドルボードに挑戦。
スタンダップパドルは波に乗ると言うよりカヌーの様に穏やかな海の上を漕ぐだけでしたがボードに立つのが難しい様でした。

そして帰りながらチーズバーガーを頂きました。途中温かいお茶やスナック菓子やジュースも出ました。

今回は３回もチャレンジしたので時間が無く着替える時間も無かったので、皆水着のままバスに乗りホテルに帰りました。
バスの中はクーラーがガンガンに効いてて寒かったです。
普段は広めのトイレで着替えるようです。

Timely pick-up, great folks, and tasty food. Oh, and did I mention dolphins! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and can say that this is by far the best dolphin snorkel I've been on. I got my gear within 5 minutes of check-in and put in my lunch choice. Dolphin Excursions is an educationally based tour company and some of the people there are marine biologists. They seemed to read the behavior of the dolphins very well. The baby spinner dolphins are super cute! This is a great time of year because the dolphins are having babies so they are fun to watch. We went out about 3 times to snorkel, twice with the dolphins so close. I have never seen so many dolphins with me in the water, and you can even hear them 'singing' before you see them. When we got back, lunch was already made. The food is great at Spinner's Cafe, and the people are courteous. I had a great time and can say that many others did as well.

First day at Iruka University! This time, the staff was very energetic and taught us a lot about the ocean, so thank you for the enjoyable time!

When searching for dolphins, we were ready to go as soon as we spotted them! At first, it felt a bit intense until we got used to it, but they really helped us encounter wild dolphins, and we were able to see a large pod with our own eyes. When I submerged my ears in the water, I could clearly hear the dolphins' calls, which was incredibly exciting!

At Ryugu Castle, a wild honu (sea turtle) came within 50 centimeters, and I was so thrilled to be able to touch it! I was desperately trying to stay still on the surface, but the honu gracefully dove without touching me, making it a very rare experience! On the boat, there was no time to be bored, and I had a fulfilling and fun day. I definitely want to participate again next time!

One disappointing thing was that there were professional photographers taking pictures, and when I purchased the data ($60), I received photos of all participants, but I had fewer pictures than other families. It felt a bit disappointing since I paid the same amount as others. I think participants should definitely approach the photographers and ask for more photos!

竜宮城では野生のホヌさんが50センチの近距離まできて触れたらヤバイ！って必死に水面でじっとしていたのですがホヌさんが、スゥーッと触れることなく無事潜ってくれたり〜とっても貴重な体験が出来ました！船の上ではぼーっとしてる暇はなくとても充実した楽しい1日を過ごせました、次もまた参加したいですね！
残念なのは一つプロカメラマン方もいらっしゃって撮ってくださっていたのですが、データ購入（60ドル）してみてみたら参加者全員のデータをいただきましたが他の家族の撮影枚数より少なく、他の方と同じ額払ってるのに…と少し残念な感じでした。参加される方は、ぜひぜひ積極的にカメラマンに近寄って撮ってもらった方が得！と思います^_^

On the way back, we waited at the port for about an hour for the shuttle bus to arrive, possibly because the road was congested. I participated in this tour during my first visit to Hawaii.

On the day of the tour, we traveled to the port via a shared bus that stopped at various hotels in Waikiki. During the ride, we received an explanation about the tour.

It seems that the snorkeling spots vary by day, and since the dolphins are completely wild, there’s no guarantee that we will see them. Some days we might encounter around 80 dolphins, while other days we might only see about 20, or in the worst case, none at all. However, since this is nature, there's nothing we can do about it, and it can't be helped. Hearing this made me even more excited as I swayed in the bus.

Once we arrived at the port, we used the restroom, changed out of our clothes, and put on our swimsuits. At this time, they also offered wetsuit rentals, which I believe were around $20, so those who needed one could wear it. By the way, my husband and I thought we would be fine without one, but about half of the participants rented wetsuits.

When it was time to board the boat, I had imagined a somewhat larger vessel, but it felt more like a boat than a ship. However, since we were wearing life jackets and floating on the surface, it didn’t feel like we were swimming with the dolphins. Instead, it felt like we were observing them from above, but I was still so happy to see wild dolphins!

Since dolphins are always swimming and moving, they soon swam away, and we returned to the boat to head in the direction they had gone and entered the water again.

私はそんな話を聞いてますますドキドキしながら、バスに揺られていました。

そして港に着くと、トイレを済ませて、着ていた服を脱ぎ、あらかじめ着用していた水着姿になります。
この時、ウェットスーツの貸し出しも行っていて、たしか20ドルだったと思いますので、必要な方はこちらも着用します。
ちなみに私たち夫婦は大丈夫だろうと思い借りませんでしたが、半数の方が借りていました。

そしていざ船に乗り込むのですが、私は勝手にちょっとした大きさのある船を想像してましたが、船というよりボートに近いかなという感じがしました。
そのためやはり揺れはありますので、乗り物酔いされる方は酔い止めを飲んで行かれる事をお勧めします。
私自身、普段から乗り物酔いが激しいタイプなので、あらかじめ飲んでいきました。

ボートが出港してしばらくの間、ひたすら広い海を進みながらイルカを探すのですが、驚く事にイルカ探知機などは装備しておらず、ただただ船長さんの感覚と経験だけで探すということでした‼︎
私はかなり驚きながらますます不安とドキドキが増していきました。

ただそんな不安を感じながらも、オアフ島西海岸沿いの景色はとても神秘的で綺麗でした。
ワイキキビーチとは違いとても静かで、地元の人達にとって神聖な場所であるというお話でした。
が、聞きなれない名前だった為、地名を忘れてしまいました、、、汗

そうこうしてボートに揺られていると、なんと船長さんからイルカの群れがいるという嬉しい発表が、、、‼︎
すぐにシュノーケリングを着けて海に入る大勢になり、合図とともに海へ飛び込みます。

そしてガイドさんの後に続いて進んで行くと、、、い、いました‼︎
数頭のイルカの群れが、水深10メートル⁇くらいのところを優雅に泳いでいて、私達の真下に見る事ができました‼︎
ただ、私達はライフジャケットを着用して水面に浮かんでいるので、水深何メートルも下にいるイルカと、一緒に泳いでいるという感覚ではなかったです。
ただイルカが群れで泳ぐ様子を私達が上から見ているというという感じでしたが、それでも野生のイルカに会えただけですごく嬉しかったです‼︎

イルカは常に泳いで移動しているので、しばらくするとみんな行ってしまい、私達も一旦ボートに戻り、イルカが進んで行った方向に先回りして、再度海へ入る事になりました。

すると、またイルカの群れを見る事ができたのですが、今度はよく耳を澄ましていると、キィキィキィ、、、というイルカの鳴き声を聞くことができました‼︎
ガイドさんも鳴き声を聞いていて、イルカが遊んでいたねと言っていました。

イルカが私達に向かって声をかけてくれたのかは分かりませんが、貴重な体験ができてすごく幸せな気持ちになりました‼︎

その後、再度ボートで移動し、海中にあるウミガメのおうちに案内してもらいました。
10匹程の野生のウミガメがゆったり泳いでいる光景をすぐ近くで見る事ができました‼︎
ウミガメは数分毎に空気を吸うために水面に上がってくるので、プカプカ浮いてる私達でも、すぐ間近で顔を見る事ができました‼︎
実は生き物の中で1番カメが好きな私は、イルカ以上に野生のウミガメに興奮しっぱなしでした‼︎

このツアーでは野生のイルカにもウミガメにも会えて、とっても貴重な幸せな体験ができました。
次回ハワイに行った際にも、また会いに行けたらなと思います。
