The sandbar has clear water and no waves, making it enjoyable for couples and families with children. We were advised to snorkel barefoot (probably because flip-flops would come off), and while swimming over the coral, we got a bit cut on our feet due to the crowded area. I recommend wearing marine shoes if possible. Since this is overseas, it's at your own risk. The round-trip bus to the sandbar can be cold, so I suggest bringing a long-sleeved jacket and a bath towel since you'll be returning wet. You can see fish and turtles up close, which is a lot of fun. The female staff were very cheerful and hardworking, making the experience enjoyable. The local staff were also bright and friendly. I think it's a great place for children, adults, individuals, couples, and families to enjoy.

I have some experience with snorkeling in Hawaii, but this time I wanted to try going to the sandbar that often appears on TV, so I made a reservation. Since there were no morning slots available, I opted for the afternoon, but unfortunately, due to high tide, the water was up to my waist at my height. In deeper areas, I couldn't touch the bottom, so I had to wear a life jacket, but the sea was very beautiful, and I was able to see sea turtles quite closely. After that, we moved to a deeper area for snorkeling. Those who didn't want to snorkel stayed on the boat, but it didn't seem like they were bored, as it was interesting to watch. Compared to the tours I've participated in before, snorkeling wasn't the main focus, so I felt a bit unsatisfied, but the staff's explanations were clear, and it was evident that they were attentive to safety. As for food, shortly after boarding the boat, we were served freshly made malasadas, and the barbecue lunch was a buffet with salad, several types of meat, pineapple, rice, and chili beans. Overall, the atmosphere was very Hawaiian and lively, and as older participants, we felt a bit out of place, but the guide mentioned that their children were already grown, which made me realize that age doesn't really matter. We participated as a family of three, including my fifth-grade son. It was his first time snorkeling, and he was a bit nervous, but the female guide called the day before to confirm and explained how to use the equipment in a way that was easy for children to understand, so we were able to participate with peace of mind. She held my son's hand while swimming the whole time. There was a line to watch the video before entering the ocean, but we didn't have to wait. The trolley that went back and forth on the slope was also convenient.

On the day, I borrowed a wetsuit and swam, which helped with the temperature difference and prevented sunburn. The last time I swam without a guide, I had a terrible sunburn on my back... Unfortunately, we didn't see any turtles, but the guide worked hard to find them, and we saw more types of fish than when I went individually before, so I was satisfied. Since it wasn't low tide, the water at the sandbar was up to my knees. Still, I could fully enjoy the strange feeling of standing right in the middle of the ocean.

For snorkeling, we swam along the edge of the sandbar. Thanks to the life jacket and float (or buoy?), I was able to snorkel safely without getting separated from my companions. Although the fish didn't come very close, we could see quite a few. Some reviews mentioned that the time was a bit short, but it was more than enough for beginners in snorkeling.

それでも海のど真ん中に立っている不思議な感じは満喫できます。

The weather was terrible on the day we went, and it rained several times along the way. During the snorkeling, there was a heavy downpour like a tropical storm, but the staff kept the atmosphere lively with bright voices and topics.

The rain was so intense that more than half of the people returned to the boat, but even then, they kindly prepared warm cocoa and coffee for us. The Japanese staff member took a lot of photos, and I thought it would have been perfect if the weather had been just a little better.

I was told that as long as I disposed of my trash, I could smoke on the sandbar, so I think smokers should definitely bring their cigarettes and lighters without hesitation. If you're not taking photos underwater, a regular digital camera or phone would be just fine.

The BBQ burger was delicious. You won't get one unless you remember the staff's name! The amount of tomatoes is one slice per person, so if someone takes two, there won't be enough. The staff was watching and laughing, saying, "One slice only!!"

行った日は天候が酷く、途中に何度も雨が降っていました。シュノーケルのタイミングでスコールのような大荒れの天気になったのですが、明るい声や話題で絶えず盛り上げて下さいました。
あまりにも激しい雨だったので、半分以上の人が船に戻ったのですが、そのときもすぐに温かいココアやコーヒーを用意して下さったりと、本当に親切でした。
日本人スタッフのお姉さんは写真をたくさん撮ってくれたし、天気があと少しでも良かったら最高だったなあと思いました。
自分でゴミさえ処理すれば、サンドバーでタバコも吸っていいよ、と言われたので、喫煙者の方は遠慮せずタバコとライターを持っていくべきだと思います笑
海の中を取らないのであれば、普通のデジカメや携帯でも問題ないくらいです。
BBQバーガーも美味しいです。スタッフさんの名前を忘れているともらえません。笑
トマトの量が1人1枚なので、ひとりで2枚取るような人がいると足りなくなります。スタッフさんが「1枚マデー！！」と笑いながら監視してました。笑

We were pretty disappointed with this trip. Just not as organized as we had hoped. We've been on many different snorkel trips over the years and this is one of the most unorganized we've attended. Competing boats seem to pass out gear and explain rules and safety regulations on the way to the destination. Then, once anchored, we can get in the water. This boat waits until we are on anchor, then starts the slow unorganized process of handing out gear. Takes way too long!

Food was decent, but mixed drinks were not! The captain, although tried to be funny, was not for the most part. We tried to have a conversation with him and generally got one word answers. So, he really wasn't interested in talking with us. When we were on anchor, he seemed to be more interested in flying his own personal drone around the boat.

The crew was nice and helpful, the captain, not so much! The best part of the trip was the photographer. Really a terrific individual, very personal with the guest and generally took an interest in the guest.

Overall, I wouldn't use this boat again.

Unfortunately, it was cloudy and windy, and it was cold without a rash guard... The scenery is nice, though. However, it seems that the view during high tide, like in the photos, can only be seen a few times a year, and it appears that this is not the right time.

I felt like the sea of angels became my own!
The Japanese guide, Yukiko, was also humorous.

I had a great time! The sandbar had water up to my knees as the tide came in, but I was able to move around the coral and see a lot of fish while enjoying snorkeling. I would love to participate again if I have the chance!
