This was my husband and my first time in Hawaii and we booked this sunset dinner cruise to celebrate our honeymoon. We were amazed by the way we were received, we booked the 5 course meal package which was to die for. Their food is amazing! Going up to the dock of the boat and watching the sunset was the Cherry on top. We got amazing pictures and the atmosphere was perfect. Then we came back inside to enjoy watching the dancers perform. It was a perfect and relaxing cruise.

I made a reservation to create memories in Hawaii during my honeymoon. Before boarding, there was a hula show in front of the ship, and guests with the 5-star package are guided first. Right after being guided, we had a photo opportunity with the captain, and were served a welcome drink and appetizers, followed by commemorative photos on the deck and the hula show—there was so much to enjoy.

When I used the service, it seemed that there were not many 5-star reservations, and the occupancy of the 5-star section was about 40%. There was plenty of space between seats, and the ship felt spacious, so I didn't have any concerns about infection prevention. All the staff were not wearing masks, which might make some guests uncomfortable.

There were about ten couples, along with two groups celebrating birthdays. The food was delicious and served in just the right portions, leaving me satisfied. The staff who served us were polite, and the drinks were large enough that the three drink tickets were more than enough.

Along the way, there were hula shows, jazz performances, and dance time, making it a wonderful memory fitting for a special occasion.

I highly recommend this experience for couples visiting Hawaii for their honeymoon or birthdays!

乗船前から、船の前でフラショーがあり、5スターの人は1番最初に案内されます。
案内されてすぐに船長との写真撮影、ウェルカムドリンクとアパタイトのサービス、甲板での記念撮影&フラショーと盛りだくさん。
私が利用したときは5スターの予約は少なかったようで、5スターの船内の埋まり具合は4割程度。

ペア10組ほどの他、誕生日利用のグループ利用が2組いました。
料理はどれも程よい量で美味しく満足です。

途中、フラショーやジャズの演奏、ダンスタイムもあり記念日にふさわしいいい思い出になりました。

Everybody was so sweet and friendly, very charismatic and funny too. The Maitais were so SO good, not too strong not too watered down. Beautiful views and easy check in. We were a party of four and one of ours had to use the restroom downstairs and he said it was clean and well maintenance. The sail itself was amazing I was able to get good pictures of Diamond head as well.

The hotel shuttle bus was beautiful, and they even played music while we boarded the ship, which really lifted our spirits. It seems that the floors are different depending on the star rating, with the 5-star guests on the top floor, and the deck area exclusive to 5-star guests where you can enjoy the sunset and fireworks, creating a very VIP atmosphere. The food and drinks were delicious, and overall it was a great cruise. However, wanting to enjoy the sunset and fireworks on the deck made it difficult to have a leisurely meal. Additionally, the seating is close to the next table, so you might get talked to by the person next to you. While that could be part of the travel experience, it might feel a bit uncomfortable if you want to have a quiet time just for the two of you.

It was a perfect day for cruising with clear skies, and the number of guests on board added to the exotic atmosphere. The boarding process was safe and straightforward. It was my first sunset cruising experience. I had previously been on a dinner cruise, and since my husband had never been on one, I was thinking of doing a dinner cruise again. However, we decided to try the sunset cruise instead, so we quickly made a reservation.

After checking in, we boarded the ship at the scheduled time. Aside from us, everyone else was foreign tourists, but everyone was enjoying themselves, toasting with Mai Tais as we set sail. The view of Waikiki Beach and the opposite side of Diamond Head from the sea was fantastic, as well as the mountains we saw from the activities we experienced during the day. Of course, the setting sun was beautiful.

The background music was from my husband's youth, which also became a wonderful memory.

Great value, the three staff members were helpful in promptly refilling drinks when they saw empty cups. Also gave my wife and I unlimited mai tai's, probably for everyone else on the catamaran too. Ride was bumpy at times but we didn't get sea sick. Music choice was also perfect the entire way though. They take great pictures of you as well.

I participated in the Sunset Dinner Cruise on August 26, 2022. The weather was nice, and I was seated in a spot where a pleasant breeze was blowing. We were welcomed with a drink.

The food included salad, appetizers (buffet), and the lobster had a visually appealing portion with just the right amount of flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. With the ticket, you could choose up to two drinks, and for those who wanted more, additional orders were available, so be careful not to drink too much!

We were also able to see fireworks from Hilton, and there was a show to enjoy on board. It was a wonderful time that I will remember, and I would love to participate in this cruise again.

You can't start your Hawaii experience without riding the Catamaran! It would be pointless to go to Hawaii!" I thought he was being a bit dramatic, but his enthusiasm piqued my interest, and I attempted to board once, but that year (2019, before the pandemic), it was fully booked every day. I resolved that the next time I went to Hawaii, I would definitely ride the Catamaran, and I made my reservation around the same time I booked my flight tickets.

On the day of my reservation in early August 2022, we went to the check-in area on the beach in front of the Sheraton at the designated time, confirmed our reservation with the voucher, and then walked barefoot along the shoreline to board the "Catamaran," being careful not to bring sand onto the boat. Two capable crew members skillfully prepared for departure, and as the boat smoothly pulled away from the beach and floated into the sea, an extraordinary feeling and excitement washed over me. I understood what my friend meant. The Catamaran proceeded slowly offshore, paying attention to the surfers near the beach, and after a while, it raised its sails and picked up speed. I was moved by the view of Waikiki and Diamond Head from the ocean, a perspective I had never seen before. The crew announced that drinks were ready, and we toasted as a family on board. The blue sea, blue sky, the scent of Hawaii, the sound of the ocean breeze, upbeat background music, and the sound of the sails fluttering all combined to create an indescribably exquisite moment that my vocabulary cannot capture.

2022年8月上旬予約当日、集合時刻にシェラトン前のビーチにある受付に行き
バウチャーで予約確認、その後、砂浜に乗り上げた形で留っている「カタマラン号」へ裸足で波打ち際を歩き船に砂を載せないよう注意深く乗船します。2人の頼もしい操船スタッフが手際よく出航させるのですが、船が砂浜から「すーっ」と離れ船が完全に海に「ふわー」と浮いた瞬間から非日常的な感覚とワクワク感が襲ってきます。これがハワイ通の友人が言っていた事なのかと納得。カタマラ号はビーチ付近のサーファー達に気を配りながらゆっくりと沖合へ進み、しばらくすると帆を上げスピードアップ、ワイキキの街並みやダイヤモンドヘッドを今まで見ていた逆の目線、海からの景色に感動します。操船スタッフからドリンクが用意できていますとアナウンス、そして船上で家族で乾杯。青色の海、青色の空、ハワイの香り、潮風の音、アップテンポなBGM、帆がなびく音、それぞれが相まって私の語彙力では表現出来ない何とも言えない極上の時間です。
暫くするとイルカ達がカタマラン号と一緒に遊ぶ姿を見せてくれました。
太陽が水平線近づき、次第に船が沖合からビーチが近くになるのが残念に思えます。サンセット、日没と同時ぐらいにワイキキビーチへ戻りカタマラン号のクルーズは終わりとなります。次回またハワイに行く事が出来れば必ずカタマラン号に乗船します。

After three years, I participated in a sunset cruise on a catamaran in Hawaii. It was so much fun. Seeing Waikiki and Diamond Head from the sea, the sunset, and the sky turning pink afterward was breathtaking. There was a rainbow over Waikiki. We laughed out loud while getting splashed by the waves, and we even started singing together. It was a truly enjoyable time.

Since you might get wet, it's best to wear clothes that can get wet and keep your valuables in a waterproof bag. There was storage available, but there's a chance of getting splashed by the waves.

I definitely plan to participate again on my next trip to Hawaii.

The impressions of the show, as everyone has introduced, were very satisfying. As for my comments, I would like to share about the infection control measures during the COVID-19 situation.

There were few Japanese people on board, and aside from the staff, I hardly saw anyone wearing masks. I recommend bringing hand sanitizer and using it, of course during meals and also when entering and exiting the restroom, just to be safe.

The show had not only the performers but also the audience joyfully cheering. The atmosphere was very good, but if there were cameras that could capture the spread of droplets, it would be quite a sight. Therefore, I think it's essential to wear a mask while watching and to have the mindset of sanitizing any exposed skin afterward.

Please note that as of August 2022, you cannot leave Japan without a negative PCR test certificate, so I am writing this with the assumption of taking quite cautious measures. The show itself was truly wonderful and I highly recommend it.

ショーは、パフォーマーの方だけでなく観客の皆さんが、陽気に声を上げています。雰囲気はとてもよいのですが、もし飛沫の拡散が見えるカメラでもあるなら、すごい状態になっていると思いますので、鑑賞時はマスク着用必須で鑑賞後は肌の出ている部分を消毒するぐらいの気持ちでいたほうが良いと思います。
なお、このコメントを書いている22年8月現在は日本帰国時のPCR陰性証明がないと出国自体ができないため、かなり慎重な対応をとる前提で記載しております。ショー自体はとても素晴らしく、お勧めです。
