Disappointing evening

Pick-up was perfect, complimentary Mai Tai was lovely, but the sunset was hard to savour in the middle of queuing, collecting food and eating! The food was okay.
We chose the trip for the sunset and traditional dancing, but the dancing was evidently lovely BUT hard to see as the girls were not raised up and one needed to look round other people and tables.
We had a nice wander to the top of the boat which was great! BUT the ‘entertainment’ was done by a guitarist who couldn’t sing above a certain pitch and girls who followed his very out of tune singing. I suppose the other passengers got up and took part, as they felt that was expected but we found that part excruciating!
Overall not worth the money.

The cruise and dinner content were satisfying. We could also see the fireworks from the Hilton from the ship.

However, the bus from the meeting point to the ship took a long time to depart, and I believe we arrived quite late compared to other guests boarding the cruise.

As for the seating, it seems that aside from the reserved seats, it was on a first-come, first-served basis, and our seats were not very good. That was disappointing.

When we arrived, the other guests already had their meals served, and the dining had already begun.

We used the 3-star window-side guaranteed plan for our honeymoon with my wife. This is my third time boarding since I was a child. The seating space on the ship is narrow, but considering the age of the ship, I think it's reasonable. Some people have given poor reviews about the food, but considering the cost of living in Hawaii, I actually think it's quite good. Plus, there are shows included with the cruise. The sunset is very beautiful, and the night view of Waikiki is also stunning. The shows are impressive for what is offered on the cruise.

I've written a lot, but I was very satisfied with this boarding experience. I plan to use it again when I come to Hawaii for a special occasion.

Went on a Friday, the boat was crowded and the seating was shoulder to shoulder. I could not really see the show from where I was seated I just had to listen to it and get a glimpse whenever I could. The fireworks were nice but EVERYONE on the boat was trying to see them so you have to get out of your seat early to get a good spot to see.

On the last day of our family trip to Hawaii, we decided to participate in this activity to create some memories. I had been on a catamaran a few times in Hawaii (with another company), but it was the first time for my husband and our 2-year-old daughter.

There aren't many activities available for children, so the fact that our daughter could join us for free was a deciding factor.

The meeting point was inside the Outrigger Reef. It was beautifully renovated, and the Holokai counter was easy to find. We got a little lost with the map provided, but the hotel staff kindly helped us.

From there, we walked to the boarding area near Halekulani.

Unfortunately, it was cloudy on the day of our trip, but just as the sun was setting, a gap in the clouds appeared, creating a truly wonderful memory.

Here are a few concerns that led to a four-star rating:

【Concerns】
- When we boarded, we were the only Japanese among about 30 people. It was fun to experience the international atmosphere, but the crew members did not speak Japanese, so those who are concerned about this should take note.

- The boat allows drinking. We chose not to drink, but the first drink is included at no extra charge! The international guests were drinking a lot and having a great time. Families with children or those who are not comfortable with drinking should be cautious.

- My husband and daughter got seasick. Depending on the weather, the waves were quite high and the boat rocked a bit. If you're prone to motion sickness, taking medication is a must! Also, please be aware that the ride lasts about an hour and a half.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and we could feel the fun atmosphere from everyone on board. I think it would be good to compare prices as catamaran rates vary by company.

以下、少し懸念される点がありましたので星4つになります。

【懸念点】
・私達が乗船した際は、30人ほどのうち日本人は私達だけでした。海外の雰囲気を味わえて楽しかったですが、乗務員さんも日本語は話せない方なので気にする方はぜひ。

・飲酒可能な船です。私たちはお酒がのめないので選びませんでしたが、一杯目は追加料金なくお酒を楽しめます！海外の皆さんはたくさん飲んで大変盛り上がっていました。
子連れやお酒のノリが苦手な方は、注意が必要かもしれません。

・夫、娘は船酔いしてしまいました。天候にもよるかと思いますが、沖合は割と波も高く揺れました。苦手な方は酔い止め必須です！また、1時間半ほど乗るのでお気をつけください。


全体として非常に楽しく、海外の雰囲気を一緒に乗船されたみなさんからも感じられて、楽しいひとときとなりました！カタマラン船は料金も各社違うのでぜひ参考に比較いただくとよいかと思います。

For our honeymoon, we chose a 3-star cruise. To be clear, as a standalone cruise, it doesn't have many standout attractions. It's just a simple cruise where you go a little offshore, anchor, and then turn back, which isn't particularly exciting. However, when considering the overall experience of the tour, I think it offers value for the price.

We don't usually dine at high-end restaurants, but for our honeymoon, we wanted to enjoy a slightly special atmosphere in a casual way, and this was perfect for us. The food was delicious, and the shows towards the end, including hula dancing and haka, were quite impressive. We received a framed photo as a gift before leaving, which made for a lovely keepsake.

A 5-star experience that requires full formal attire is, frankly, too high a barrier for the average person in Japan for various reasons, so unless you're someone quite exceptional, I strongly recommend this 3-star option.

The view along the coast was beautiful as was the sunset .The boat ride itself was well worth the money and the staff/crew were entertaining and we had a memorable time .

We departed from the beach in front of the Sheraton Hotel, just a stone's throw away from the hotel, about 80 minutes before sunset. The catamaran can accommodate around 20 to 30 people. We turned around after passing the beautifully illuminated Diamond Head at sunset. Cruising while sipping a Mai Tai and enjoying the sunset is an absolutely wonderful experience!

Be careful of the waves when boarding and disembarking; you might trip.

We had the best time with our group of 12 on the sunset catamaran cruise. Meet up at the hotel was easy to find. Boarding the boat was quick and efficient the ride out was a little choppy but we laughed our way thru the bumps a couple people were nauseous so if you get nauseous easily take something before.. The drinks were great and the bar service was too! They had a variety of drinks including local beer. The views were amazing. We took great pictures and enjoyed the sunset. I highly recommend and would definitely do it again

Overall an enjoyable sunset cruise but a bit rushed boarding the boat. We were served and eating our meal while the boat was still in dock. Our meal was the first out and surrounding tables took a while before theirs came out. Our crab leg shells were soft and impossible to crack open. Otherwise the food was enjoyable. Entertainment was fun and lively. I would recommend this experience.

Great cruise, all staff, especially our service assistant, were extremely pleasant, professional, and efficient. A very good buffet with carved roast beef, delicious chicken and fish, everything. Fireworks show a bit difficult. In order to see it well people had to run to one side of the ship, not only tilting the ship a bit but making it even more difficult for people who didn't want to dash to the side to see. This was only a minor observation.

Loved the thought process here, but overall, kind of crowded. Our waiter had too many tables or he was just slow. Not sure. Food was ok, didn’t go home hungry. Music was great and the final show was awesome.

I wasn't expecting much from the food, but it was very delicious, and the show was wonderful.
I wonder if the floor of the ship changes depending on the course?
For those participating in the tour, I recommend not being stingy and going for the best course!

Experience: I thought I would need to speak English since there were many white people during the hotel shuttle service, but there were also Japanese menus, so it was fine. The Hawaiian show was fun because they made it easy for everyone to participate. It was heartwarming to see the newlyweds next to us.

We participated as a family with our two small children! The food was delicious, the sunset view was absolutely wonderful, and the show lasted a long time, so we were able to enjoy ourselves thoroughly without getting bored! Considering how fulfilling it was, I think it was a great value for the price. The staff were very kind to our small children as well. Great service, great value, everything was just amazing, so our family decided to leave a tip on our way out! Of course, tipping was not mandatory. The next time we go to Hawaii, we definitely want to make a reservation again!
