I participated in the Dolphin University on November 2, 2014. We gathered at a little past 6 AM, so the energy was low, but our chairperson, Julie, was super high-energy and lifted our spirits, making us feel excited. We enjoyed delicious malasadas and then boarded the boat. I got to meet many dolphin instructors and Professor Turtle. I was even able to have a conversation with a dolphin instructor!

We challenged ourselves to see how fast we could go while kayaking, and it was really fun. At one point, Julie said, "It's your tour, so you all have to enjoy it!" I think it's true that if you don't enjoy it, you're missing out. I highly recommend it!

2014/11/2イルカ大学に参加しました。朝6時過ぎに集合とあってテンション低めだったのですが、委員長のジュリが超ハイテンションで持ち上げてくれたのでウキウキ気分に。マラサダも
おいしく頂き、いざ乗船。
イルカ先生もカメ教授もたくさん出会えました。イルカ先生と会話することができたんですよ＼(^o^)／
カヤックに乗りどこまで最速スピードが出せるか挑戦したり、本当に楽しかったです。
途中ジュリが「みなさんのツアーだからみなさんが楽しまなきゃ！」と言っていたとおり、自分が楽しまなきゃソンだと思います。
オススメです！

Overall, I had a fun time and created great memories. Although I felt a sense of discomfort with the guide, Sue (a Japanese), who spoke in a somewhat intimidating tone and exaggerated stories to satisfy the participants, I was reassured by the local staff who constantly checked on everyone’s condition during snorkeling. We saw several groups of dolphins swimming beneath us (according to Sue, there were more than 50 in a pod, but it seemed exaggerated...), and we observed dolphins jumping and playing up close from the boat. I felt like I managed to chase after a turtle, but the tropical fish in the water were beautiful and breathtaking.

I hadn’t put my face in the water for over 15 years and was worried, but thanks to the wetsuit, I wasn’t cold, and the water felt warm and pleasant.

The hamburger for lunch was clearly made from the cheapest frozen meat and bread, but perhaps because I was hungry and surrounded by stunning scenery on the boat, it tasted good.

I would like to try this again.

全体的に楽しく思い出が作れました。敬語が喋れないのか、ガイドのスーさん(日本人）の威圧的な喋り口調の日本語と、「皆さんラッキーですね、こんな事滅多に無いんですよ」と参加者を満足させるための誇張した話にずっと違和感を感じていたものの、現地スタッフはスノーケリング中、常に参加者の状態を気遣っていて安心しました。イルカは何匹かの群が自分たちの下を通り（スーさん曰く50匹以上の群れだったそうですが、誇張されてたような…）、船上では飛び跳ねたり遊んでるイルカを間近で観察しました。亀は頑張って追いかけて見れた感じでしたが、海水の中はトロピカルフィッシュが美しく感動的でした。
15年以上水に顔をつけたことがなく心配していたものの、スウェットスーツのおかげで寒くなく、水の中は暖かくて気持ち良かったです。
昼食のハンバーガーは、ハッキリ言って明らかに一番安い冷凍肉とパンをBBQしたものでしたが、お腹が減っていたのと絶景に囲まれた船上で食べたからか、美味しかったです。

またチャレンジしたいと思います。

Very enjoyable. Saw a very large sea turtle, no dolphins though, maybe wrong time of year. The boat crew was very professional and helpful. Would definitely go again.

We took the afternoon dolphin watch cruise that set sail at 1pm. Saw some sea turtles and a dolphin pod from afar. The snorkelling was nothing great...lots of reef fishes and mostly dead coral. Being prone to motion sickness, I was elated at how wonderfully stable the catamaran was, and for once I actually enjoyed sailing instead of spending half my time being sick over the rails. In spite of my disappointment at not seeing dolphins up close, the afternoon turned out to be a really pleasant cruise along the beautiful Ko Olina coastline. The staff were attentive and friendly. My 3 year son threw a fit when I got him out of the choppy waters during the snorkelling session. Kudos to the staff who successfully quietened him down by giving him bread to feed the fishes from the back of the ship. Food was great. Pulled pork sandwiches, chips and fruit salad were delicious. All in all, a lovely afternoon.

The barbecue was very delicious, and I had a lot of seconds. The sea was very beautiful, and I had an experience that I could only enjoy here.

We, the older participants among the young people and couples, were my husband, who was joining for the first time, and me, who had participated before. We were eagerly wishing to meet dolphins. Last time, we were tired from swimming and the visibility wasn't great, so this time we had high expectations! Many dolphins and turtles came to see us. Swimming with them was the best! I was so happy! However, there were too many people on the boat, so I wished for a bit more space.

若い人やカップルに混ざって参加した熟年の私たち、以前に参加した私と初めての主人。ひたすらイルカに会いたいと願いながら。以前は泳ぎ疲れ、透明度もよくない状態だったので今回は是非と期待！たくさんのイルカさんとカメさんが会いに来てくれました。一緒に泳げて最高！嬉しかった！ただ、船にたくさん乗り過ぎなので少し余裕が欲しかったです。

As expected, I was satisfied to see the sea turtles. Above all, the staff were cheerful and entertaining. They take commemorative photos (for a fee), and they are wonderful (in terms of poses). The staff give pose instructions. It became a great memory.

期待どおり、うみがめにも会えて満足でした。
なにより、スタッフたちが明るく楽しませてくれました。
記念写真（有料）を撮ってくれるのですが、これがまた
すばらしい（ポーズ）。スタッフがポーズの指示してくれます。
いい思い出となりました。

I participated with my 8-year-old daughter and another person.
On the bus ride, we saw beautiful nature that you can't see in Waikiki.
The time on the boat was short, so I didn't get seasick.
We were able to see sea turtles coming close to us multiple times, which was amazing.
I thought snorkeling would just be splashing around in shallow water, but we got to see much deeper parts of the ocean than I imagined, with lots of coral and tropical fish. My daughter, who was experiencing this for the first time, was initially nervous but was very moved.
I recommend bringing a waterproof digital camera if you join the tour.
The staff were kind, and they took this photo for us.
The content of the tour was excellent, providing satisfaction beyond the price.
I added several options this time, and this was the best.

8歳の娘と3人で参加しました。
バスの送迎途中にはワイキキでは見れない大自然を見れます。
船に乗る時間も短いので船酔いもしませんでした。
ウミガメは寄ってくる感じで何回も見られるので最高でした。
シュノーケリングは浅瀬をパシャパシャすると思っていたら、想像以上に海底が深い所を見れて、サンゴと熱帯魚が沢山で初めての娘も最初はドキドキでしたが、とても感動していました。
ツアーに参加するなら防水デジカメを持っていくことをオススメします。
スタッフの方も親切でこの写真も撮って頂きました。
ツアーの内容がとても良くて、価格以上の
満足感があります。
今回複数のオプションを付けましたが、これが最高でした。

We had such a great time both on the boat and in the water.
The food was great and staff members were all super nice and sweet.

The only one bad thing for me was that I didn't remember/they didn't know how much it cost. I reserved this tour through the internet in advance like 10 days ago and payed with my credit card. Since my friends(there were 5 of us) tried to pay me by cash at the day of the tour but the voucher didn't mention about the price, I asked at the front how much they charged on my credit card. And the lady checked my name on the list and PC and said it's $485. I thought it's a little more inexpensive than I thought, so I asked her to double check and she said it's correct. So we just split the bill. But I found that they charged $695, which was the correct amount, after I left hawaii and got back home...Unfortunately all other friends are form other countries, so I gave up getting the difference in the bill from them. :(
I think the total amount should be on the voucher or at least they should have gave me correct info!

I chose the movie village tour and jeep drive. There were many stunning viewpoints, and the weather was great. The chicken steak for lunch was very delicious.

映画村ツアーとジープドライブを選択。絶景ポイントがたくさんあり、天気もよくて最高だった。お昼のチキンステーキがとてもおいしかった。

We are residents in Hawaii, actually we moved here from California about 5 years ago and while kids are off school on their fall break, I decided to take them out. I didn't realize there's actually a lot to do and see here, thanks to my cousin, Emily, who works for VELTRA that recommended me to do these things.

Kualoa Ranch is amazingly beautiful! We checked-in at 8:00am to do the Full Day Experience Pass and it was the perfect time as we were able to do four different activities. We did the Jungle Expedition and although it was a really bumpy ride (which is quite fun actually), the view of the Chinaman's hat island upon reaching the top after our small hike was breathtaking! We did the Ocean Voyaging which is nice also as we got to see the view of the windward side from a far, the Ranch & Movie Tour, and the Ancient Fishing Grounds & Tropical Gardens Tour. Buffet lunch was also included in the Value Pass and the menu items are so ono(delicous)! Overall, it was a really fun and exciting experience!

Snorkeling while watching beautiful sandy beaches, stunning coral reefs, and fish... Encountering sea turtles was also thrilling! It was just the best. I was very satisfied with the attentive service from the staff. Next time, I definitely want to visit when the beach appears.

We used this for our honeymoon memories. We departed from Hilton Hawaiian Village and spent about two hours relaxing on the sea while enjoying the sunset. The time spent heading towards Diamond Head bathed in the sunset was particularly pleasant and enjoyable.

There were only my husband and I as the Japanese participants, but the crew was very considerate and kindly provided us with the onboard explanation in Japanese separately from the other participants.

Additionally, the boat was comfortable to ride on, and when it started to rain, we were able to take shelter under the roof, allowing us to enjoy ourselves until the end. Alcoholic drinks were free for up to two servings, and there was a wide variety available, along with potato chips and warm snacks.

The boat was larger compared to the number of participants, which allowed everyone to enjoy their own space. I would love to participate again when I come to Hawaii.

ハネムーンの思い出に利用しました。
ヒルトン・ハワイアン・ヴィレッジから出発し、サンセットを臨みながら2時間ほど海上でのんびり過ごしました。夕日を浴びるダイヤモンドヘッドへ向かう時間は、特に心地よく気持ちが良かったです。

参加者で日本人は私たち夫婦だけでしたが、船員の方が気を利かせてくれ、他の参加者とは別に私たちだけに日本語で出発前の船内説明をして頂けて非常に親切でした。

また、船も乗り心地は快適で、途中雨が降ってきたときも屋根つきのためデッキからの非難ができ、最後まで楽しく過ごせました。
アルコール類も2杯までは無料で種類も豊富、ポテトチップスやあたたかい小料理もありました。

参加人数に比べ大き目の船でしたので、それぞれが思い思いの場所で過ごせるのもいい点でした。ハワイに来た時には、また参加したいと思いました。

This is a great option for those that get sea sick! The boat was very smooth! Brandon our waiter was fantastic, and was a good laugh. Would recommend and go again

I had an amazing experience in the best weather imaginable, where the ocean was beautiful and I even got to see sea turtles. This is a tour that I highly recommend you join when you go to Hawaii!

It had been some time since low tide, but the water depth was about knee-high, which I had expected, so I had no particular complaints. The sunlight reflecting on the water surface was very beautiful. Since I'm not great at socializing, I found myself with a bit of free time during our stay at the sandbar, but I was able to fully enjoy the scenery. During snorkeling, I was able to see a turtle up close, which was very moving. It was a great experience. Thank you very much.

干潮から時間がたっていましたが、膝上くらいの水深で、もともとそれくらいかと思っていたので特に不満はありませんでした。
水面に陽の光が反射してとてもキレイでした。
盛り上げベタなのでサンドバー滞在時間中は少し時間をもて余してしまいましたが笑、景色を満喫することができました。
シュノーケリングでは間近でカメを見ることができ、とても感動しました。
いい経験ができました。

It seems I was lucky on the day I participated, as a large group of dolphins was found right away. Even without swimming, just floating with my face in the water, I could see the dolphins swimming just below us! There were baby dolphins too, and their calls were so clear; it was incredibly moving. We moved to another spot and also got to see sea turtles and beautiful fish. I was able to try stand-up paddleboarding as well, so I was very satisfied!

私が参加した日はラッキーだったみたいでイルカ先生の大群がすぐ見つかりました。泳がなくてもプカプカ顔付けて浮いてるだけで、私達のすぐ下をイルカ達が泳いで行きました！赤ちゃんイルカもいて、鳴き声もすごくはっきり聞こえてめっちゃ感動しました。場所を移動してウミガメ教授やきれいな魚達にも会えました。スタンドアップパドルもできたし満足！

The staff were all fun people, and I had a great time! The weather was nice, and the sea was really beautiful! The warm soup after snorkeling was truly delicious!

I was supposed to go with my cousin, but she couldn't make it on the day, so I participated alone. I felt a bit lonely going by myself, but the guides and staff were very warm and accommodating, so I was able to enjoy it fully even on my own. I'm really grateful for that.
The tour content was also fulfilling. The malasadas and BBQ lunch we had on the boat were very delicious. I got to see sea turtles multiple times, which made for great memories.
However, it seemed that the timing of our visit coincided with high tide, so instead of a sand walk, we ended up doing sand swimming, which was a bit disappointing. The water level was just about at the point where my toes could barely touch the bottom. I thought I would check the tide times before participating next time.
But even with the high tide, it was truly a valuable experience.
I highly recommend this tour to anyone going to Hawaii.

従妹とふたりで行く予定でしたが、従妹が当日行けなくなり、ひとりで参加しました。ひとりで参加するのは心細かったですが、ガイド・スタッフの皆さんがとても温かく対応してくださったので、ひとりでも充分楽しめました。本当に感謝しています。
ツアーの内容も充実していました。船上でいただいたマラサダ・BBQランチは、とてもおいしかったです。ウミガメに何度も会えましたし、いい思い出になりました。
ただ、行った時間がちょうど満潮だったようで、サンドウォークではなくサンドスイミングになってしまったのが残念でした。つま先がやっと届くかどうかという感じの水位でした。次回は、満潮の時間かどうか調べてから参加しようと思いました。
でも、満潮だったことも含め、本当に貴重な経験ができました。
ハワイに行く人にぜひぜひお薦めしたいツアーです。

We participated as a couple with our 8-year-old son. We were very excited to swim with the dolphins multiple times and see them up close. It was reassuring to have a guide from Japan, which made us feel safe participating. The guide was flexible and adapted to the dolphins' situation, allowing us to fully enjoy our time.

夫婦と８才の息子とで参加。何度もイルカと泳ぎ、間近でみることができて大変興奮しました。また日本の方がガイドなので安心して参加できます。イルカの状況によって臨機応変に対応されていたので、充実した時間を満喫することができました。

The sandbar itself was wonderful, but unfortunately, the weather was drizzly... There's nothing we can do about that. The guide was Japanese, so I felt comfortable participating. Even my wife, who usually gets motion sickness, didn't feel sick, so I think that's reassuring as well.

I had an amazing day that exceeded my expectations! First of all, our guide, Julie, was truly wonderful and great at getting everyone excited, which raised our spirits even before we saw the dolphins! Unfortunately, there was a boat from a dolphin protection organization that day, so we couldn't swim with the dolphins, but we were still able to see many wild dolphins up close, which was very moving. (I've heard that days when you can't swim with the dolphins are quite rare, so don't worry.) We also got to see a baby dolphin swimming, which was even more touching. After that, we enjoyed snorkeling. You can rent a wetsuit for $10. Even those who can't swim can definitely give it a try. The atmosphere on the boat was fun throughout the day, making it a very fulfilling experience. I will definitely participate again!

予想以上に素晴らしい1日を過ごせました！まずガイドのジュリさんが本当に素敵な方で、盛り上げ上手なのでイルカを見る前からテンションが高まりました！実はこの日、イルカを保護する団体の船？が出ていたのでイルカと一緒に泳ぐことは残念ながら出来なかったのですが、それでも生で野生のイルカを沢山見ることが出来てとても感動しました。（これが理由でイルカと泳げない日はめったにないそうなので安心して下さい）また、赤ちゃんイルカが泳いでるのも見れて、更に感動でした。その後はシュノーケリングを楽しみました。ウェットスーツを10$で借りることが出来ます。泳げない子も全然挑戦できます。船上でも、始終楽しい雰囲気作りをして下さっていたので1日が大変充実していました。また絶対参加します！

This was my second time participating, and it was fun! The staff's response was excellent! I could feel that they were trying to make us enjoy ourselves. I went in May, and the sandbar was deep from my knees to my thighs. But it wasn't cold, and the weather was really nice, so I was very satisfied. After that, I took a break from snorkeling and played with a float near the boat. Snorkeling is not forced, so those who are scared can enjoy other marine sports. There were also people canoeing and paddle surfing. I was able to see sea turtles up close, and I experienced the essence of Hawaii all at once. I want to participate again.

スタッフの方の対応も◎！私たちを楽しませようとしてくれているのを感じました。
私が行ったのは5月でしたが、サンドバーはひざから太ももまでの深さでした。
でも寒くもなく、天気もすごく良かったので大満足です。
そのあとのシュノーケルはお休みして、船の近くで浮き輪でずっと遊んでいました。
シュノーケルも強要されないので、怖い方は違うマリンスポーツを楽しめます。
カヌーやパドルサーフィンをやっている方もいました。
ウミガメも近くで見れて、ハワイの醍醐味をいっぺんに味わうことができました。
また参加したいです。

Since being healed by wild dolphins four years ago, this was my second time participating. The first spot was filled with a school of dolphins swimming around, and it was over in the blink of an eye, but I was satisfied as dolphins crossed right in front of me and I could hear their voices. At the second spot, there were more than 50 dolphins, some of them were relaxing and there were even baby dolphins, which was incredibly healing and satisfying once again.

Also, while moving on the boat, I saw many dolphins performing spin jumps, as if they were saying, "Come back again!" I’m thinking of going to the Big Island next year.

４年前に野生のイルカに癒されて以来、２度目の入学でした。
１度目のポイントは泳ぎまくるイルカの群れでアッという間でしたが、目の前をイルカが横切るわ、イルカの声は聞けるわで満足。２度目のポイントでは、なんと約50頭以上の群れで、ゆったり寝ている状態で子供のイルカもいたりして、今回も癒されて大満足でした。
また、船で移動中にはイルカのスピンジャンプも多く見られ、また来いよ！と言われているようでした。
来年はハワイ島に行こうかな。

$150 for 2 people plus chips, so the dolphin swim at a certain aquarium might feel like a better deal.

I participated in the morning tour.

It was a bit disappointing because it was a cloudy day, but the staff were friendly and easy to talk to, and the lunch we had on the boat was very delicious♪

After lunch, there was free time, and during that time, sea turtles came really close to us!

I guess they are used to the staff, as they swam around the boat in circles, allowing us to take great photos!

It was a tour I would love to join again next time!

午前中のツアーに参加しました。

曇りの日だったので少し残念でしたが、スタッフの方達はフレンドリーで接しやすく、船の上で頂くランチがとても美味しかったです♪

ランチのあとで自由時間があるのですが、その時に海亀がものすごい近くまで寄ってきます！

スタッフの方に慣れているのか船の周りをぐるぐると泳いでくれるので良い写真がとれました！

また次回も参加したいツアーでした！

ただ申し込み時にチップ込みと記載があったにも関わらず、現地でチップのお願いがあったのが疑問。

I was picked up around 8:30 AM. Unfortunately, we couldn't land at the sandbar because it was close to high tide, but we walked about 100 meters, and the staff took many commemorative photos for us. Since most of the participants were Japanese, I felt quite at ease. The coral was very beautiful, and snorkeling, where we also got to see sea turtles, was a lot of fun! (*^^*)

朝8：30ごろピックアップしていただきました。サンドバーは満潮に近い時間だったため、残念ながら上陸はできませんでしたが100メートルほど歩いて行き、スタッフの方が記念写真を沢山撮って下さいました。殆どの参加者が日本人だったため、安心感がかなりありました。また珊瑚がとても美しく、ウミガメにも会えたシュノーケルはとっても楽しかったです(*^^*)

I had the pleasure of using Dolphin University. To put it in one word, it was amazing! We were blessed with good weather, got to visit the sacred site of Makua, met dolphins, and saw sea turtles, making it the best memory without any complaints. The staff, including the class representative Sue, were very accommodating, and I had a lot of fun! I will definitely participate in Manta University next time!! Thank you very much!

On our last day in Hawaii, my girlfriend and I dressed up and boarded a boat, but it felt like a children's summer camp from the movie The Addams Family, with an overly cheerful muscle crew interacting with families and elderly couples in a typically American, broad manner. The food was terrible, mostly fried items that would have been better left unserved. It might be fine for families with children under 13 or elderly couples, but I can't recommend it for couples. My girlfriend felt seasick and became moody, stopping talking altogether. Everyone seemed to be happily enjoying the sea turtles popping up, but I wondered if it was really that fun. This tour, which only goes a short distance from Waikiki Beach, reminded me a lot of the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride I took at Disney World in Florida long ago. We boarded a submarine-like attraction that was full with just 15 people, dove only 2 meters, and saw a mechanical octopus that was broken and wouldn't move, with dads exclaiming "Waoooo!!" to their kids. It brought back that atmosphere.

I feel bad for my girlfriend...

ハワイ最後の日の思い出にと彼女とオシャレして船に乗り込んだものの、映画アダムスファミリーの子供向け夏合宿のごとく、やたら陽気一辺倒のマッスルクルーがマッスルスマイルで家族連れから老夫婦迄、アメリカ特有の大雑把なくくりで終始対応していた。食事は最悪で出さない方がまだましな揚げ物系ばかり。家族連れの13歳未満のお子様、老夫婦には丁度いいが、カップルにはお勧め出来ない。私の彼女は船酔いもあって気分悪く不機嫌になって喋らなくなってしまった。海カメが顔だしているのを皆まんぞくげに喜んでいたが、そんなに楽しいのだろうか？ワイキキビーチからわずかに遠くに行くだけの本ツアーは、昔フロリダのディズニーワールドで乗った海底2万マイルとよく似ている。15人も入ったら満員の潜水艦型アトラクションシップに乗込み、わずか2メートル潜水して、機械仕掛のしかも壊れて動かないタコがでてきて、お父さんが子供にWaoooo!!というやつ。あの雰囲気を思い出す。

彼女には悪いことしてしまった。。
