We arrived at the snorkeling spot in no time after departure. Once we put on our gear and entered the water, I was amazed to see colorful fish swimming right in front of me. As I swam towards where the staff pointed, I was thrilled to see a sea turtle swimming gracefully!

All the staff were friendly and provided thorough explanations, so I felt secure participating in the tour. My elementary school-aged child also seemed very happy and enjoyed snorkeling the whole time. I would love to join again on our next trip to Hawaii.

There were plenty of sizes for the goggles, life jackets, and fins, so I was able to borrow ones that fit me well. The staff were always nearby in the water, which made me feel safe while enjoying snorkeling. I was able to encounter a honu and swim with many fish, which was a lot of fun. After snorkeling, we received free drinks and snacks, and I had a Mai Tai. I would love to participate again.

The meeting place was the yacht harbor on the ocean side of the Waikiki Prince Hotel, and it was easy to find. I had planned to see sea turtles in Okinawa before, but I couldn't, so I went to Hawaii for a second chance. I was able to see them successfully. One turtle came up to the surface, and about four were gathered at the bottom.

We headed to a spot off the coast of Waikiki where other tour participants gathered, cutting through the wind on the yacht. It took about 15 minutes to reach the spot. I was able to see dolphins in the distance and multiple sea turtles. The sea turtles up close are very cute! The view of Diamond Head from the sea while sailing was also wonderful! Our family of 6 got to experience this tour. It was amazing from the start. The Captain and Crew were awesome and very personable. They were quick to help and easy to talk to. We got to see several Sea Turtles and even had a large female surface right next to us. The amount of fish we saw was crazy. The water felt amazing just floating and soaking in the experience.

On the way back we enjoyed some drinks and they took us for a ride down the coast line towards Diamond Head. The views were spectacular.

I highly recommend this if you’re staying in Waikiki.

This time the tour was delayed due to staffing issues: we didn’t have a captain and no one to take photos. The remaining of the tour was great once we got going, however the tour was cut short by 30 mins due to the initial delay, for 3 hours instead of 3.5 hours was described.

The guys were great, there were a ton of sharks. Just wish they would have given a little bit of instruction as to the use of the snorkel. I spent a fair amount of time afraid I wasn’t using it properly and would inhale the water. Otherwise it was a super experience! I would definitely recommend Hawaii Shark Experience.

The sea was murky due to the effects of the wind and tsunami, but I was able to see turtles when they surfaced while I was on the boat or in the water. Even though the water was cloudy while I was swimming and looking for sea turtles, I could see schools of fish, so I think there were many more. The sea is usually much clearer, so I would like to go again next time if the timing works out.

The cruise staff were kind, and since the sea was murky, they offered a complimentary soft drink and suggested an alternative for the sunset cruise.

The morning gathering was early, so my 5-year-old child looked sleepy the whole time, but when the dolphins appeared, he was completely absorbed in watching them in the water. I was a bit anxious about managing our valuables, but I was able to take care of them myself at the foot of the boat, so there was really no need to worry. There were times when Japanese speakers were available, so we had no language barriers, and the English staff were friendly, making it a fun experience. I recommend signing up for the photo package (up to 4 people for $79) because you won't need to bring a camera, and they will even take underwater photos for you. It was nice to have a credit card and some cash for tips. It might be a good idea to take motion sickness medication just in case.
