The water temperature was a bit low and it was cold, but I was glad to encounter a sea turtle. It was my first time snorkeling, and my 10-year-old son was also happy.
There are several staff members who speak Japanese, and they provide explanations in Japanese as well. About 80% of the tourists are Japanese.
There are no changing rooms, so we went in our swimsuits and wiped off our wet bodies before getting on the bus for the return trip. Some people were changing in the restroom, but there are only three stalls, so it gets crowded. It might be tough for those who are not good with the cold.

Overview:
The meeting point is the Holocai Catamaran booth located on the beach side of the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort on the first floor of the hotel. If you're unsure, you can enter the hotel from the Steak Shack side and walk towards the abc store to find it.

There, you check in. There are about 12 participants. Since the boat will be moored on the sandy beach, you'll need to take off your sandals to board. About four strong men will be your guides. They look impressive, like old-time sailors from a movie. As I listened to the explanations (in English), we soon moved to an area where we could see honu (sea turtles). (I didn't feel much rocking.) Most participants were foreigners, with only a few Japanese. You can borrow snorkeling sets and life jackets. Wearing the jacket is mandatory, but whether to inflate it is up to personal judgment. Beginners should inflate it, while experienced snorkelers who want to dive can keep it deflated. The spots where honu are found are crowded with various tour groups, so we shared the space and slowly approached the honu together. We observed the honu as they surfaced for air, keeping a respectful distance. The guide provided friendly explanations and directed us on where to go. However, in the latter half, things became less organized, and people started to act freely, so it's good to occasionally look up to see where the guide is or swim towards the direction of someone calling out "Holokai!" When there was a honu underwater, I borrowed an underwater camera from another guest (I used a GoPro), and the guide dove down to take close-up shots. It was a wonderful memory. After observing for a while, we returned to the boat and had free time sailing around Waikiki's waters. Soft drinks were free, while alcohol was available for purchase (ID is only required when buying; if you don't plan to buy, you don't need an ID). Participants freely took photos and relaxed on the net at the front of the boat... The guide was always cheerful and even spoke a little Japanese when he realized we were from Japan... We spent a leisurely time on our way back...

Impression:
Of course, it depends on the weather and waves that day, but in my case, I hardly felt any rocking and was very comfortable. It's not particularly Japanese-friendly, and the vibe and way of speaking are completely native, but they don't say anything too difficult, and if you ask, they will teach you very friendly. 感想：
もちろんその日の天気や波に寄りますが、私の場合、揺れはほとんど気にならず、とても快適に過ごせました。日本語フレンドリーではありませんし、完全にネイティブのノリや喋り方ですが、そこまで難しいことは言いませんししませんし、聞けばとてもフレンドリーに教えてくれます。天気がいい場合、日焼けするので長袖やサングラスを持ってくと良いと思います。水中カメラはあれば是非とも持っていくことをおすすめします。
船から降りた後は目の前にステークシャックがあるので、そのままお昼に食べました。

もちろん海外なノリが多いため、苦手な方は考慮されたほうが良いですが、とても気分の良い、南国にきたなーーーーと思える体験でした。特に何を強要されるわけでもなく、各々が自由に旅行を謳歌している、そんな雰囲気でした。

I wanted to go to Kailua Beach, but I participated in a tour due to concerns about the time it would take to get there and the unfamiliar transportation. The pickup service to a nearby hotel was very helpful. The driver spoke in English, but I felt reassured as many of the other participants were Japanese. Additionally, there was a Japanese female staff member who provided explanations in Japanese beforehand, which was great! (I think it's important to note that she may not always be available.) The other staff members were locals, but they could speak some simple Japanese and told us about the fish and sea turtles, which was fun as they spoke to us in Kansai dialect. Even with the basic plan, there were three options: SUP, snorkeling, and boards, and rotating among them turned out to be just the right amount of time, so I was satisfied.

Since it was early in the morning, the weather was clear, and the water was beautiful, I was able to see various types of fish. Four years ago, I encountered sea turtles and seals in the same spot, but unfortunately, I didn't see them this time.

However, the couple who guided us were great; the husband spoke Japanese well and pointed out interesting fish, saying things like, "Look, there's ●●!" which made it really enjoyable. At one point, when some participants got tired, the wife went back to the shore with them, and when I got too caught up in taking photos and was left behind, they noticed and helped me catch up. Their consideration for everyone to have a good time was very much appreciated.

This time I was with my 3.5-year-old, and thanks to the flippers, they were able to swim smoothly! The kids said this trip was the most fun they've ever had, and it seems they really enjoyed jumping off the boat. The hamburger was hearty with a strong meat flavor, large, satisfying, and delicious—I was very pleased! The drinks were all-you-can-drink, and the kids loved the warm cocoa after coming out of the sea. The staff were all wonderful, and the beach volleyball and conversations were fantastic. Really well organised activity with Kaimana Tours. Our driver Koa was excellent, providing lots of insights to the surroundings during our drive there. Pickup was on time, in a comfortable spacious van. We arrived and were first in line to get tickets which was simple and organised. The snorkeling gear was great, both sizing and quality for what we needed. I’d recommend going on the 6am pickup, as by the time we left at 11, it was getting really busy and there were not many places with shade. Kaimana offer umbrellas & chairs for hire too.

I was able to see about 3 turtles and an octopus. They don’t go too far out and it’s a pretty quick trip if you want to see some sea life and also do other things with your day. The catamaran ride was smooth and I enjoyed the short ride. Had a cocktail on our way back. Crew was friendly and couldn’t ask for a better time. Oh the music was great too!!

I made a reservation for the morning session, which lasts about four hours in total. First, be aware that there is hardly any parking available for the rental cars. If you can't find a spot, you might have to park on the street along the road. (When I left after the morning session, there were cars parked all along both sides of the road.)

There were some people who struggled to find parking and were running late, but they waited for them, so I don't think you'll be left behind. However, it might be a good idea to call if you happen to be late.

As for what to bring, you'll need a swimsuit, sunscreen, and towels. You can go snorkeling, but be careful not to step on the coral, as it can cause injuries. It would be reassuring to have some kind of water shoes for the ocean.

For stand-up paddleboarding (SUP) and kayaking, it's first come, first served, and there are plenty of them available, so just let the staff know when you want to go out. During this time of year, the tide was high, so we couldn't see the sandbar, but the water was shallow enough for beginners, which I thought was nice.

On the way to and from the boat, we also got to experience the local excitement of Hawaii, which was really fun! Mahalo!

シュノーケリングができるのですが、サンゴを踏んでしまって怪我する恐れがあります。海で履く用の靴下みたいなやつあると安心です。
supやカヤックは早い者勝ちで数も多いのでやりたい時にお兄さんに言えば乗れました。
この時期は潮が満ちてかサンドバーは見れなかったが足がつく程度の海で初心者にもいいのかなと思いました。
行き帰りの船上ではハワイのローカルな盛り上がりも体験できてとっても楽しかったです！！

I had confirmed with the instructor, but the snorkeling gear wasn't properly attached, and I panicked because I couldn't breathe on the surface. So, I had to retire midway.

There were two instructors, but it was stated that they could handle a maximum of five people, yet it felt like one instructor was managing almost ten people. It seems like there's some exaggeration in the description.

The shuttle service to and from the hotel made it easy to get around, and I was able to receive explanations about tourist spots and snorkeling in Japanese, allowing me to enjoy the experience with peace of mind! The hamburgers we had on the boat were truly delicious... After getting into the water, it gets cold, so I think it's a good idea to prepare something to wear over your swimsuit (like a rash guard), hot water, a bath towel, and a change of clothes for after disembarking! I participated in a tour with two friends. This was my third time participating. I usually can't see the sandbar. If it's waist-deep, that's better. During the accompanying snorkeling, I was able to see fish, corals, and turtles. The stand-up paddleboarding felt free with two people sharing one board, and I enjoyed it. This time, the weather was nice and not cold, but last time the bus was cold and it was quite uncomfortable. A dry towel and something to wear over are essentials.
