I thought I would be able to swim closely with a lot of dolphins, but while I was able to see them, it felt more like just seeing dolphins rather than swimming with them. Since they are wild animals, timing might play a role as well... For those who are prone to motion sickness, I think taking motion sickness medication is a must. Even after taking it, we still felt nauseous.

Great day at the Sandbar

The sandbar is very nice, we arrived at the tour boat with plenty of time and were able to find parking! which was great, but arrive early to be safe, we received a safety briefing and we were on our way!

The boat ride from the dock to the sandbar is short but with entertainment along the way and snacks.

Once you get there there is a place to snorkel and swim around, and a platform to lounge and baste in the sun.

However the day we went tide was high so the water was up to our chests, however not something the tour can control.

We liked it a lot and would do it again.

It's hard to say whether Waikiki sail is a great experience or not. They called us the night before around 8:00 p.m. letting us know that they quite doing the afternoon tours and asked if we could come earlier. Unfortunately we had a hard to get breakfast reservation and with less than 24 hours notice, we could't change it even if we wanted to. With that said, Waikiki sail was great at finding a different company that could take us which was awesome. Despite my frustration, I had to at least give them an okay rating for that. We sailed with Moana adventures and had a great time so if Waikiki sails experience is similar and they don't tell you the night before that a change has been made, they are probably great.

I participated with a friend in late September.

I was able to see various fish and sea turtles, and I was very satisfied.

The driver kindly explained about Hanauma in English. They repeatedly mentioned what not to do, so I understood. Before entering Hanauma, they gave us life jackets at the cliff viewpoint. If you have any additional items, it's a good idea to mention them at this time. Once we arrived at Hanauma, we gathered with the same group of guests to pool together $25 for admission. I think it’s a good idea to bring a mat or something to relax on the beach in advance. It was very kind and I had a lot of fun snorkeling.

The pickup was handled by a kind guide, making the journey to the location comfortable. Along the way, I received simple explanations about the tourist spots and snorkeling techniques, which gave me a sense of reassurance.

Upon arrival, we took an official video course before heading to the beach. Since I had already heard the same instructions in Japanese from the guide, I didn't understand the English in the video, but I felt at ease knowing the content.

Once we reached the beach, we practiced snorkeling before the actual event. As I peered into the water, I immediately spotted fish. For about three hours, I followed the guide and moved around Hanauma Bay quite a bit. The snorkeling was so enjoyable that the three hours flew by.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see any honu (turtles) this time, but it felt like I was left with a homework assignment to come back again. I definitely want to return. (^^)

For this snorkeling trip, I rented a wetsuit for an additional fee. The guide introduced it somewhat hesitantly by saying, "It's paid," but it was definitely the right choice to rent it.

There are some very shallow areas where you snorkel. During the waves, my body almost hit the shallow coral, which is actually not allowed, but it happened. I was told that this could potentially injure your skin. Even if you're careful, you never know what might happen.

I thought it would be better to splurge a little and rent the wetsuit so that it wouldn't affect my plans later on. Plus, wearing a wetsuit helps you float, so there's no worry about drowning. I highly recommend it.

On the way back, the kind guide also dropped us off, and I was able to enjoy the tour very comfortably. Thank you very much! (^^)

今回のシュノーケリングでは
ウェットスーツを別料金でお借りしました。
ガイドさんから「有料なので」と遠慮がちに紹介されていましたが、借りて正解でした。
シュノーケリングで動く所は一部とても浅い場所があります。引き波の時に体が浅瀬のサンゴに当たりそうになる、というか、本当はダメなのですが当たってしまいました。その際に皮膚を傷つける事があるとの事でした。
気を付けていても何があるかわからない。
少し奮発してお借りした方が、後の旅程に響かず安心かなぁと。さらに、ウェットスーツを着ると浮くので、溺れる心配が内容です。尚更おすすめです。
帰りも優しいガイドさんに送っていただき、大変気持ちよくツアーを楽しむことができました。

I was also glad to catch a glimpse of the sea turtles.

Unfortunately, the snorkeling was quite crowded. Moving in a large group felt like being in a packed train, making it far from an enjoyable snorkeling experience. Other activities were fun, though.

I went for the first time this year. When we got on the boat, it was raining, but I was glad that it stopped by the time we arrived at the sandbar. The water was knee-deep in some areas, which made it enjoyable. We could also rent SUPs and had a great time. There was a Japanese-speaking guide who provided support. They took us snorkeling, and we were able to see plenty of turtles. The guide helped us, a couple in our 60s, with snorkeling, and we could just float around. I want to go again next year. I think it would be wonderful if it were sunny. It was already so great even with the rain and clouds, so I'm looking forward to going again next year. There is a website that checks the tide levels at the sandbar, so I recommend looking it up and choosing a day with low tide when making a reservation. It’s a wonderful world where you can experience the ocean in 360 degrees.

I visited Hanauma Bay for the first time in two years. It was early in the morning, but the water wasn't as cold as I expected. The fish swimming around are always the same. The sea had plenty of corals and rocks, and I was glad to borrow a wetsuit; it felt safe.

If I go to Hawaii again, I would like to go snorkeling once more, if my age allows. Because I am 60 years old. I highly recommend it!

I made a reservation for a date without checking the tide levels, but it turned out to be just when the tide was coming in, and the water level at the sandbar was around my waist. Last time it was about ankle-deep, so I felt a bit disappointed and reduced my rating by one star.

I participated with my 8-year-old and 6-year-old children. The guide was Japanese, and the entire trip was conducted in Japanese.

The activities included visiting the sandbar, observing sea turtles, and snorkeling, and we were very satisfied with the lunch, which was a charcoal-grilled hamburger.

By the way, alcohol is available for purchase, but soft drinks are free.

I was worried about whether my kids could snorkel since they are small, but they provided equipment for children, and there were no issues at all. The kids had an absolute blast.

One area for improvement would be to create a changing room. I wondered about the lack of a place to change on the way back. A few poorly mannered Japanese individuals were changing in the long line for the restroom stalls.

We had to ride the bus in wet swimsuits, and the air conditioning was too strong, making it cold. Since there’s no place to change, I think it’s a good idea to bring extra bath towels to cover up on the way back.

Other than that, it was fantastic.

マナーの悪い日本人が数名、長蛇列のトイレ個室で着替えてました。

濡れた水着でバスに乗るのですが、エアコンが効き過ぎてて寒くなりました。
着替えれないので、帰りに体を覆えるようにバスタオルは多めに持参が良いと思います。

それ以外は最高でした。

I had seen beautiful scenery of Kailua and Lanikai Beach on various websites and had been determined to visit them on my next trip to Hawaii.

Being able to move around freely at our own pace allowed us to relax in our favorite spots. One of our goals was to hike to the Lanikai Pillbox, but my wife found it too difficult, so we decided to give up halfway. However, we were able to enjoy a leisurely time at Kailua Beach, where they lent us beach chairs and dry bags for free. The pizza we had for lunch at Bob's Pizzeria was also very delicious, and we were completely satisfied.

Next time, I will make sure my wife is fully equipped and we will tackle the Pillbox!

We did 2 turtle snorkel's while in Hawaii, this one was not really the crews fault that it was not my favorite as the seas were pretty rough that day.
This would be a much better experience if there wasn't as many people on board.
Surprisingly, there were a lot of tourists with little to no experience with swimming or the ocean. Please if you are not experienced with swimming stay on the boat.
We were able to see a couple of tours and because of the non-experienced children on board, the fish were well "fed".
Bumpy ride and fun wave time on the trampoline! My sister and I loved that part of it!
Overall, pretty good experience, never enough time in the water!
Be prepared, especially on a smaller boat.

The meeting place was within a hotel in Waikiki, which was very accessible. I joined thinking it would be nice to meet them, but I was incredibly moved to see multiple honu (sea turtles) right in front of me! After snorkeling, during the cruising, I was a bit worried because my family got seasick, but it felt really nice to sail while enjoying the view of the hotels in Waikiki and Diamond Head with the wind in our faces. Also, the captain, crew, and instructor were really cool.

集合場所がワイキキのホテルの中でアクセスがよかったです。
本当に会えたらいいなーぐらいに思って参加したのですが、何匹も、しかも目の前でホヌさん（ウミガメ）に会えて、大感動でした！
シュノーケリング後のクルージングでは、ちょっと家族が船酔いしちゃって心配でしたが、ワイキキのホテル群やダイヤモンドヘッドを見ながら、風を切って航行するのは本当に気持ちよかったです。
あと、キャプテンとクルー、インストラクターがめっちゃかっこよかったです。

I was picked up from the hotel, and it took about an hour to get to the port, but being on the boat was amazing! The weather was bad, so we couldn't see the sandbar, but the delicious hamburgers and the abundance of sea turtles and tropical fish were so incredible that my child hesitated to swim. ✨ The tour guides were friendly, attentive, and all very nice. It was my first trip to Hawaii, and I'm glad we booked the tour. I hope we can see the sandbar next time!

Best time on island when we are here. Highly recommended. The crew is friendly and safety is readily apparent. Shy is a great captain and knows her stuff! The hospitality and food are above reproach. Value throughout the trip and worth every bit. Nothing short of spectacular and the opportunity to see Sea Turtles, fish of different species, and Rays. Best value we have found near the North Shore.

Big shout out to Scott and his team! We just took our first ever snorkel and my wife does not swim well and is afraid of the water. Scott is a very calm and encouraging person, my wife held on to the float and with the life vest had no worries about sinking. Sure the water was murky today, yet we saw fish, and held a starfish, a sea cucumber, and an urchin. Way cool!

The tour was fun, but the high waves in Waikiki and the simple life jackets that resembled airplane life vests seemed difficult for my 7-year-old child for snorkeling. We were able to see sea turtles while snorkeling, and it was enjoyable to sail out with the yacht's sails up. It might be fine for children who are strong swimmers and accustomed to snorkeling.

The port at Dolphin Middle School was under maintenance, so I was upgraded to Dolphin University for free and participated in the Dolphin University tour on the same day.

It was great that the pickup bus was filled only with Japanese people, and all the explanations about the snorkeling spots, dolphins, and sea turtles were provided in Japanese. Our tour guide, Hayato, was very kind and taught us a lot about the Hawaiian sea, which helped me learn about Hawaiian marine life.

After arriving at the boat, we set sail with people other than Japanese.

I was really hoping to see dolphins and sea turtles, and I was very happy to encounter Hawaiian monk seals, sea turtles, and a pod of dolphins right away from the boat.

We returned home around 12:30, which was a nice point since I could plan to play more in the afternoon.

I was able to see dolphins from the water, and overall, it was a very satisfying tour!!

I would like to participate again when I come to Hawaii.

ピックアップのバス内は日本人のみで、シュノーケルする場所やイルカやウミガメについての説明など全て日本語で行っていただけたのがよかったです。
ツアーガイドをしてくれたハヤトさんがとても優しく、ハワイの海について詳しく教えてくれたため、ハワイの生物や海について勉強になりました。

船に到着してからは、日本人以外の方も一緒に船に乗り出航しました。

イルカやウミガメが見れたら嬉しいなと思っていたところ、すぐに船の上からハワイアンモンクシール(アザラシ)やウミガメ、イルカの群れに会うことができとても嬉しかったです。

バスでの帰宅は12:30ごろになり、午後も遊ぶ予定がいれられたのも良いポイントでした。

イルカも海の中から見ることができ、総じて大満足なツアーです！！

またハワイに来たら参加したいと思います。

I was recommended Hanauma Bay as a great spot in Hawaii by a friend, but I learned that reservations are required for entry. Since I can't drive, I was looking for an all-inclusive plan and found this tour.

I had only snorkeled once before, so I was a bit anxious, but the small group and the attentive guidance in Japanese made it a wonderful experience. I was really happy to see sea turtles!

Hanauma Bay has more waves than I expected, so while floating, my body was swaying, and I was glad I took motion sickness medication. (There were others who got seasick as well. I tend to get motion sickness easily, but thanks to the medication, I had no issues at all.)

I heard that it's difficult to reserve entry tickets for Hanauma Bay, so I'm really glad I booked this tour considering that aspect too.

友人からハワイのおすすめの場所としてハナウマ湾を教えてもらいましたが入場に予約が必要とのことで、車も運転できないので全て込み込みのプランを探しておりこのツアーを見つけました。
シュノーケルは一回しか経験がなく少し不安でしたが、日本語で少人数で丁寧に進めてもらい、ウミガメも見ることができて本当に良かったです！
ハナウマ湾は思ったより波があるので、浮いている間に身体が揺れるので酔い止めを服用していってよかったです。(波酔いしてしまっている方もいました。自分もかなり乗り物酔いしやすいですが、薬の服用のおかげで全然問題なかったです)
ハナウマ湾の入場チケットは予約困難らしく、その点も含めてこのツアーを予約してよかったなと思います。
