I jumped out of the plane and descended without even having time to feel scared. There’s no time to feel fear, so I think it’s worth trying even for those who are afraid of heights. Jumping itself isn’t scary at all, but the speed during the descent is incredible, and the wind pressure can make it hard to breathe, so that’s definitely something to be cautious about. If you have any issues with your respiratory system, you really need to be careful. I also have a tendency towards asthma, so I found myself gasping for air like a fish out of water. After the parachute opened, the descent speed slowed down, and breathing became easier. If you request the instructor to do some turns, they will do so while descending, so definitely try to enjoy the descent with some turns. That was the most fun part!

怖いと思う暇もなく飛行機から飛び出て降下しました。恐怖感を感じてる暇もないので高い所が苦手な人でもトライする価値があるとます。飛び降りるのは全く怖くないですが降下するときスピードが凄いので風圧で呼吸困難になりますので其方の方が余程～注意すべき点になると思います。呼吸器系に多少でも問題がある方は本当に要注意です。私も喘息気味なので魚が酸素が足りなくて口をパクパクしてる状態になりました。パラシュートが開いた後は降下のスピードが緩やかになり呼吸も楽になります。インストラクターに旋回をリクエストすると旋回して降りてくれますので是非とも旋回しながら降りて下さい。それが一番～楽しかったです。

I have always liked roller coasters, but this is a thrill like no other.

The scariest part is when you jump off. But that fear quickly turns into excitement! It's so beautiful! At first, it's hard to breathe, but I'm just captivated by the amazing scenery beyond that. I wished I could fly a little longer. I want to do it again.

Photography and videos cost over 20,000 yen, and I wish it were a bit cheaper... but I thought I would like to do it with photos next time.

Since you have to wait for the standby time and for everyone to jump, it takes up half a day, so keep that in mind!

The staff are from Hawaii and can speak simple Japanese. However, the person in charge of me was quiet and didn't help me relax, which made me feel a bit, no, quite anxious during my first skydiving experience. Even though they are in customer service, I felt they had become too accustomed to it and were a bit too businesslike, which made me feel a little sad. So, I will deduct one star.

However, I couldn't resist the temptation to ride a horse across the plains of Hawaii, so I nervously signed up. The result was a correct decision to challenge myself; I had a very enjoyable time. Since I usually only trot in the ring, this was my first time trotting on a trail, and it was also my first experience with a Western saddle and operating the reins with one hand. However, our guide Emily kindly taught me, and after learning the tip to loosen the reins compared to English riding, my horse Libby started to run smoothly. We trotted and cantered up the hills, and at the top, there was a wonderful view of the sea, sky, and the land of Oahu. Even if you're not an advanced rider, once you can trot, I highly recommend giving it a try. You'll surely discover even more charm in horseback riding.

The advanced tour is limited to four people per session.

By the way, the ranch is located in Laie, which is on the North Shore, about an hour's drive from Waikiki, just past the Polynesian Cultural Center. The weather there can differ from that in Waikiki. On the day I initially booked, it was sunny in Waikiki, but it was raining on and off at the location, making the trail muddy and dangerous for riding, so the tour was canceled at the last minute, and I had to turn back. Fortunately, I was able to rebook for the next day when there was availability. Both VELTRA and the local tour company, as well as the ranch, were very kind in their responses. However, I recommend that participants in the advanced course check the local weather by calling the ranch directly before departing from Waikiki to confirm if the tour is still on. 上級者ツアーは一回につき4人限定だそうです。
尚、牧場があるLaieは、ワイキキからレンタカーで1時間強かかるノースショアにあり、ポリネシアンカルチャーセンターの少し先。ワイキキの天気とは異なる場合があり、当初私が予約した日は、ワイキキは晴天だったが、現地は雨が降ったり止んだりで、トレイルがぬかるんで馬を走らせるのが危険とのことで直前に中止になり、途中で引き返すハメに遭い、たまたま空いてた翌日に予約し直して参加出来ました。ベルトラも現地催行会社も牧場も、とても親切な対応して頂いたので良かったですが、上級コース参加者はワイキキを出発する前に、牧場に直接電話して現地の天候をチェックし、ツアー催行の確認をお勧めします。初心者向けの歩きだけのコースは、多少の雨でも催行出来るそうです。

I'm not good with roller coasters myself. I thought I would be quite nervous, but I wasn't scared at all and was able to dive into the sky! The view from the Cessna was truly beautiful and has become the most memorable scenery I've ever seen. Depending on the weather, it may take some time, but I think it's understandable since the staff are also risking their lives. If you're hesitating, you definitely should go!

The only Japanese staff member was the shuttle driver, and the rest were all locals, all speaking English (laughs).
Well, they communicated with gestures, and there were Japanese videos available, so I think it was fine.

I love thrill rides, but I was worried about the free fall since I'm not good with it, but I had no fear at all.
Instead, I was moved by the stunning views of Oahu and the pods of whales I saw from the sky, and it ended in no time.
The price isn't cheap, but I'm glad I had the experience.

On my daughter's 18th birthday, we had an experience together.

After signing up, I had moments of regret, wondering if I rushed into it or should cancel, but reading about everyone else's experiences made me realize it wasn't scary and would be fun.

When we took off, I felt a bit scared and was surprised when we did a full rotation in the air, but it wasn't unstable like a roller coaster; it felt like my body was well-supported against the intense air resistance during the fall.

Once the parachute opened, we descended slowly, and I had the chance to enjoy the instructor swaying us side to side and spinning us around.

After that, I was just overwhelmed by the beauty of the sea and the scenery.

We dove last, which allowed us to enjoy the parachute for a longer time without overlapping with those who dove earlier.

It became the best experience and the best birthday memory with my daughter!

申し込んでしまってから、早まったかな、やめようかなと後悔したりもしましたが、皆さんの体験を読んでいると怖くないんだ、楽しいんだと思えるようになりました。

パラシュートが開いてからはゆっくり落ちていき、インストラクターが左右に揺らしたり、回転してくれるのを楽しむ余裕もできました。

後はもう、ただただ、海の美しさ、景色の美しさに、感動しまくりです。

一番最後にダイビングしたのですが、先にダイビングした人達と重ならないように滞空時間も長くゆっくりパラシュートを楽しめました。

娘と一緒に最高の体験、最高の誕生日の思い出になりました！

We were looking for something the kids can do in Waikiki and found this fishing activity online. It is conveiniently
located right at the entrance of the Ala Wai Harbor and three hours out in the ocean was just enough for the kids to try their first
fishing experience-not too short and not too long. The crew member was friendly in assisting us when our rod got stuck and he said that its all about making the squid bait look delicious but
no luck! The person behind us was lucky and caught three fishes but because they were small they got released back into the ocean.
The big green sea turtle and the dolphin pod we saw on our way back to the harbor lifted our spirits at the end of the trip. We will definitely try again!

I've never been to a fishing cruise so this was a great excursion for a first timer like myself. The boat actually departed from right behind the Hilton Waikiki Hotel where we stayed, so we could just walk over to the check-in. The crew was super friendly and helpful. It did take a few tries to get a hang of it, and the fish kept taking our bait. After my 4th or 5th try, I caught my first fish! They did change the fishing spot a few times and one of the passengers got an edible fish so they cooked it right there and served everyone. Highly recommended for the entire family!

The day started with a hotel pickup, and we participated as a group of seven. Along the way, our guide provided various explanations, and we split up at the Pineapple Station (where we enjoyed pineapple soft serve).

We explored Haleiwa and had a delicious meal at a garlic shrimp place recommended by our guide (not the famous Macky's, but a restaurant run by a Japanese person named Nishikawa, where they carefully cleaned the shrimp). Of course, we also enjoyed Matsumoto Shave Ice.

After that, we were taken to a homey place called Happy Trails for a horseback riding course in Waimea Valley. The guide translated the English explanations for us, so we felt comfortable participating. The horses were as smart as the reviews said, and we enjoyed the ride with views of the ocean. It was my first time riding, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

From there, we gathered again in Haleiwa to meet the LUCKY HONU (sea turtles)! The guide was truly knowledgeable and took us to a beach where we could reliably encounter them, allowing us to take great photos.

Overall, it was a truly fulfilling day. Thank you very much. I would like to participate in the coastal course next time.

私達は ハレイワ散策をして、ガイドさんお勧めのガーリックシュリンプのお店でおいしく頂きました（有名なマッキーズではございません。日本人の西川さんがやっている、ちゃんと背ワタを丁寧に取ったシュリンプです）。勿論マツモトシェイブアイスも食しました。
その後ワイメア渓谷の乗馬コースでアットホームなhappy trailsに送ってもらい、英語の説明も側で訳してくれたので安心して参加出来ました。
馬も口コミ通りお利口で登り下り そして海も望め、初乗馬でしたが充分に堪能出来ました。
そこから再度ハレイワで皆んな集合してLUCKY HONU（ウミガメ）に逢いに！
ガイドさんは本当に情報を持っていて、有名な所ではなく、ちゃんと出逢える海岸に連れて行ってもらいしっかりと写真に収める事が出来て良かったです。
全体を通して 本当に充実した1日でした。
ありがとうございました。
次回は海岸コースに参加してみたいです。

Diving from sea level was amazing! The instructor was kind, and the instructor assigned to my family was funny, so we were very satisfied! I could only speak a little, but it was totally fine! When filling out the paperwork, there was a Japanese grandfather, which made me feel at ease.

It was my first time skydiving, and the instructor and the Japanese driver (or guide?) explained everything thoroughly, so I was able to enjoy it without any anxiety! I chose the higher altitude, and because the freefall time was longer, I was able to slowly take in the incredibly beautiful scenery of Hawaii, so I'm glad I went for the higher option! It was truly a sensation, excitement, and emotion that you can only experience by doing it!! Thank you to the instructor and the cameraman who jumped with me^^

This excursions was excellent. We did the hike and the bike ride. I wish the waterfall actually had some water falling down but that was beyond the control of the guides. The bike ride was amazing and the lunch view was breath taking.

What everyone is curious about is, without a doubt, the pricing! Let me share it with you!!!

* The fun part has already been extensively covered by everyone!
* Additionally, I'll note some other observations!

In my case...

■ Skydiving (altitude 4,267m)
- Pre-payment in Japan: SALE price: $179 (regular: $190)

■ On-site payments (cash)
- Tip for the driver: $10
- Tip for the tandem instructor: $20
- Tip for the photographer: $20

* For the driver, $10-$20, handed directly during hotel drop-off.
* For the instructor, $20-$40, put in an envelope and dropped in their personal mailbox after the jump.
* For the photographer, $20-$40, put in an envelope and dropped in their personal mailbox after the jump.

■ On-site payments (card)
- Video + stills: $230

* It seems you can decide whether to purchase the video or stills after viewing the data.

※インストラクター、カメラマンの感想を書くノートがあります。
　私は、到着後１番目のジャンプだったので、ノートの存在を知りませんでした。
　たぶんインストラクターの指名は出来ないと思いますが（体重制限とか、、、）
　カメラマンは、腕前で指名出来ると面白いですよね！言ったら出来るかも？

I had wanted to try horseback riding for a long time, but I never expected to be able to do it on the beaches of Hawaii. The horses were friendly, and I highly recommend everyone to experience it. I think it will be a fun time. We were lucky with the weather, and the Japanese guide provided thorough explanations, which made me very satisfied. It was a bit disappointing that the free time at the pineapple farm and in Haleiwa Town was a little short. Next time, I want to challenge myself to horseback riding in the canyon with my grandchild.

以前から乗馬をしてみたかったのですが、まさかハワイの海岸で実現出来るとは思ってもいませんでした。馬もなついていて、みなさん是非体験してみてください。楽しい時間になると思います。天候に恵まれ日本人のガイドさんが丁寧に説明していただき大満足です。パイナップル農場やハレイワタウンでの自由時間がちょっと短かったのが残念。次回は渓谷乗馬に孫と挑戦したいと思っています。

We are from New York an during our vacation in Oahu we planned a day to do the zip lining and horseback riding. Unfortunately my husband got dehydrated and was very ill, therefore we could not go as planned. Please don't get sick because unless you plan to go the the ER and spend ~$500.00 to get a doctor note, your money will not be reimbursed to you!~
