During our family trip to Hawaii, my four siblings and I went skydiving. At first, I was honestly scared, but since all my siblings wanted to do it, I thought, "Since we're here, let's muster up some courage and give it a try." Floating above the clouds and feeling like I was flying in the sky was incredibly pleasant! The view of Oahu from above was truly beautiful.

When we got into the Cessna and started climbing, I thought, "Are we really going to jump from here...?" But once we reached 14,000 feet and the door opened, there was no time to prepare mentally as the instructor pushed me forward (laughs), and I was quickly thrown into the air. Before I knew it, I was at the same altitude as the clouds, but the time spent soaring through the sky while feeling the wind was amazing. After the parachute opened, I had the chance to enjoy the scenery leisurely and even managed to have a little conversation in my broken English with the handsome instructor, but I really enjoyed the feeling of free-fall more^^

Last year, I did bungee jumping and found it really scary, so I think it was great that my siblings were there to encourage me. While we were ascending in the Cessna, my siblings seemed excited and happy, which eased my fear a bit.

*My siblings love bungee jumping and seemed to handle skydiving with ease, but they ended up feeling dizzy after doing flips and spins. They seemed to think bungee jumping was more fun. The attitude before jumping might be important too.

During the briefing when we arrived, we were told we could choose to have photos taken either by the instructor's handheld camera or by a cameraman who would jump with us. However, since we had to purchase the photos if they were taken, we decided not to buy them. But since the handsome instructor was very considerate and made it fun, I wish I had bought the photos! It would have been nice to meet the person I was jumping with beforehand. My sister had a rather unfriendly instructor.

If I get the chance, I’d love to go skydiving again! For those who are hesitant, I definitely recommend giving it a try!

家族でのハワイ旅行で、兄弟姉妹4人でスカイダイビングしました。
最初は正直怖くて、他の兄弟妹がみんなやりたいと言っていたので、「せっかくだし、勇気を出して頑張ろう」的な気持ちだったのですが、雲の上からふわふわ浮いて、空中を飛んでる感じ、すごく気持ちよかったです！空から見るオアフ島の景色も本当に綺麗でした。

セスナに乗ってからぐんぐん上昇して飛行機から見るような景色になったときに「本当にここから飛ぶの・・・？」と思いましたが、14000フィートに達してから扉が開いてからは、心の準備もする余裕もないままインストラクターにぐんぐん前に進まされて（笑）、すぐに空中へ放り出されました。
気づいたら、雲のはるか上空にいたはずだったのに、雲と同じ高度になっていましたが、風を受けながら大空に羽ばたいていた時間がすごく気持ちよかったです。
パラシュートが開いてからものんびり景色を楽しんだり、拙い英語でインストラクターのイケメンお兄さんと少し会話する余裕がありましたが、フリーフォールの風を受ける感じの方が気持ちよかったなぁ^^

去年バンジージャンプをやってすごく怖かったので、兄弟妹が一緒にいて励ましてくれたのが良かったと思います。
セスナで上昇している間も兄弟妹は興奮して楽しそうで、それも恐怖心がちょっと和らいだかも。

※兄弟妹はバンジージャンプが好きで、スカイダイビングも余裕みたいな顔していたら、縦回転・横回転ぐるぐるされたようで、終了後グロッキーになってました。兄弟妹はバンジージャンプの方が楽しいと思ったようです。飛ぶ前の態度も重要かも。

現地に着いた際の説明で、写真はインストラクターのハンディーカメラか、カメラマンも一緒に飛んで撮影してくれるか選ぶことができるとのことだったのですが、撮影したら絶対に購入する必要があったため、購入しませんでした。
でも、イケメンインストラクターでいろいろ気遣ってくれて楽しかったので、写真買えば良かったなぁ！
事前に誰と飛ぶか一度会えれば、良かったなぁ。
妹は結構、無愛想なインストラクターでした。

機会があればまたスカイダイビングしたいな〜！
迷ってる方には、ぜひ一度やってみることをおすすめしますっ！

I had an amazing time! At first, I was wearing a hoodie, but I was told it could cause a headache, so I switched to a short-sleeved shirt and shorts for diving. I felt a bit cold on the plane for a moment, but it didn't bother me during the flight.

What surprised me was that while descending with the parachute, I felt nauseous because we were falling slowly from the sky. It's important to be in good health! I thought I could have skipped breakfast.

I gave the instructor a $20 tip, and this time I didn't opt for the photos and videos. (The instructor hands you a small bag for tips, but some instructors write down the prices.)

On the way back, we were on the same tour bus, but some people had to wait 2-3 hours to fly, so we all had to wait for everyone to finish before the bus could leave. I wish everyone could have flown at the same time if they were on the same tour.

This was just perfect for me and aside from the strong winds causing the visitor center to be closed , I was very happy I took the self guided tour and yet had the informative drive up to the drop off location with the added pointers, water and walking stick (it did come in handy but I could've done without it). It was a good value and our driver Romero , was great!

The pickup time was delayed by 30 minutes, which made me anxious, but I really enjoyed riding a bike in Hawaii, something I don't do in Japan. Having lunch in the park was also very pleasant, and the deliciousness was doubled. I got some snacks and juice too. The hiking was in a place I rarely visit, and although there were some difficult spots, it was a very satisfying time interacting with others.

It suddenly started to rain, and I received a raincoat, but I felt like I was about to enter a sauna, so I chose to get wet instead. The guide was only in English, but I was able to enjoy it nonetheless. As mentioned in other reviews, there are indeed few restroom stops, so I planned accordingly, which made it less of a hassle than I expected.

I think it's better not to carry anything other than the provided pouch during the hike, so it's advisable to leave valuables at the hotel.

It's quite a survival-type hike, with hardly any flat areas.

If I have the chance again, I would like to ride a bike. As for hiking, I’ll consider it once I feel more confident in my physical strength.

I think I had a fun time and gained a good experience.

なので 貴重品などはホテルなどにおいていた方が良いと思います

結構 サバイバル的なハイキングです 平坦な場所は殆ど無かった

また機会があれば自転車には乗りたいと^_^
ハイキングは 体力に自信がついたら。。。。

楽しい時間を過ごせ 良い経験が出来たと思います

The first day was canceled due to strong winds. I made another reservation for the following day, and since the weather was clear, we were able to go. When I asked the staff, they mentioned that the morning is better, so I recommend starting at 9 AM. I saw other experiences regarding tips. Since I had such a wonderful experience, I believe I should tip generously. I'm grateful to the cheerful and kind local staff. They truly moved me. I highly recommend this experience; you can't appreciate it unless you try it. Also, please participate in short sleeves and shorts to feel it on your skin. It's better to ask the photographer for videos and photos, as they capture the scenery as well. It's a bit pricey, but I recommend purchasing it.

I participated in a beach horseback riding plan with my husband, who was visiting Hawaii for the first time. After visiting Moanalua Gardens and Dole Plantation, we headed to Haleiwa. The guide mentioned that they would call in an order for garlic shrimp, but I really wanted to eat huli huli chicken, so I arranged this tour to match the day and decided to walk to get the chicken instead of ordering. There were no tables or chairs provided, so I enjoyed it sitting on a bench at a nearby bus stop.

I was able to enjoy shopping and take my time in Haleiwa more than on previous tours. Heather Brown's artwork was about $5 cheaper than in Waikiki (according to the staff, the prices differ because she operates out of the North Shore).

After that, we went horseback riding. The explanation was in English, but the guide also provided interpretation and took photos for us. The horse occasionally wandered off to eat grass, and I couldn't lead it as I wanted, but it was very gentle, and I enjoyed leisurely watching the ocean and taking pictures. I definitely recommend this over Kualoa.

Then we went to see the honu (sea turtles). The waves were high, so we thought we might not see them, but we were able to see them up close. Along the way, we saw a surfing competition from the car, making for a very fulfilling tour. The guide shared various stories and kindly offered to take photos at each stop, making for a very friendly and wonderful experience.

その後、乗馬へ。
英語での説明でしたが、ガイドさんが通訳もしてくれ、写真も撮ってくださいました。
お馬さんは、途中草を食べに寄り道したり思うようにリードすることが出来ないこともありましたが、とても大人しく、海を眺めたり写真を撮ったりのんびり楽しめました。
クアロアよりも断然おすすめです。
それからホヌを見に行きました。波が高いせいもあり、見られないかも…との事でしたが無事に間近で見ることが出来ました。
途中サーフィンの大会をやっているのを車から見られたり、とても充実したツアーでした。
ガイドさんも色々なお話をしてくれたり、行く先々で写真撮りましょうか～と話しかけてきて下さって、とても気さくで、素敵な時間を過ごせました。

My first skydiving experience! It was amazing!! Even though I'm not good with roller coasters, I wasn't scared at all! The view from above was breathtaking. The instructor didn't speak Japanese, but he was friendly and very kind. The photos are a bit pricey, but I think it's better to have them taken by a professional! The driver was Japanese, but during the explanations in the car, he spoke so fast that I couldn't understand what he was saying, which made me anxious. I was told I didn't need to wear a seatbelt, but the driving was so fast that it was scary. On the way back, I was prompted to "prepare a tip," which left me feeling a bit complicated. The diving itself was fantastic, so I want to do it again when I come to Hawaii!

When I tried to book a zip line on Maui during my previous visit, I was told it was fully booked for quite some time, which was disappointing. So this time, I was eager and made my reservation early. Since I wasn't very confident about driving on Oahu, I opted for a shuttle service.

As others have mentioned, there was a bit of an issue with the shuttle. It was crowded, and they arrived more than 20 minutes late. The driver didn't come looking for me, so I had to go around checking each vehicle, asking, "Is this for the zip line?" Finally, when I found the driver who said, "Yes, get in!", I tried to show him my voucher, but he said, "I know, just show it when we get there," and didn't check my name before I got in the car. I had heard there were two zip line locations, so I showed my voucher to another American customer and confirmed, "We're going here, right?" which finally put my mind at ease.

There were only the two of us Japanese, and the rest were Americans, but the driver was cheerful and chatty, and the other customers introduced themselves. It was a friendly atmosphere, and we arrived in no time. The zip line experience was undoubtedly fun, making it the best day ever.

I wish there had been a voucher check at the beginning, as it would have saved me from so much anxiety.

However, I definitely want everyone to experience the zip line, so I give it ★★★★★!!

ようやく「そうだよ、乗って！」と言ってくれた、運転手さんにバウチャーを見せようとしたら、「わかってるから、現場に着いたときに見せればいいから」と、名前のチェックもしてくれないまま、車に乗り込みました。ジップラインは2箇所あると聞いていたので、他のアメリカ人のお客さんにバウチャーを見せて「ここへ行くんだよね？」と確認して、ようやく安心しました。

日本人は私たち2人だけで、あとはアメリカ人でしたが、運転手さんも陽気でおしゃべりで、他のお客さんたちも自己紹介をしたり、和気あいあいとした、バスの中であっという間に到着し、ジップラインは文句なく楽しく、最高の一日となりました。

最初に、バウチャーのチェックがあれば、あんなに不安にならなくて済んだのにと残念です。

でも、ジップラインは是非、皆さんにも体験してほしいので、★★★★★です！！

It was so much fun, and I felt amazing. I thought I might get scared during takeoff, but the instructors were so cheerful that it felt like no time at all before we were diving. When I go to Hawaii again, I definitely want to sign up for this. I want to do it again and again!

Captain and deckie worked tirelessly to ensure that every opportunity to catch fish was taken. The instructions given on how to handle the equipment were excellent for novices such as our group. Using local knowledge the captain located good sized fish and each landing was greeted with great enthusiasm but at the same time professionalism and efficiency. As a group we dispensed with the normal method of chance selection as to who would take each strike (the captain drawing a card) and so everyone had an equal share of the catch.

I participated with four colleagues from the company.

Since it was cloudy, we had to wait for a break in the weather to fly, and there were quite a few customers, so we ended up waiting for about 3-4 hours before taking off.

Because of that, I was extremely tired after the flight.

However, I think it's an experience that everyone should have at least once in their lifetime.

I signed up for a jump at an altitude of 4267m (14,000ft) alone. Pickup is available in front of hotels in Waikiki. After about an hour's drive, we arrived at the Pacific Skydiving Center. Since skydiving cannot be done if the clouds don't clear, we waited for about two hours that day. There wasn't much to do during that time (there's only a vending machine around), so I recommend bringing something to pass the time, like a guide map.

They operate with a single small airplane, which can accommodate 8 tandem pairs at once. In fact, they "must" be able to take 8 pairs at a time.

I signed up for 14,000ft but ended up on the same plane as those jumping from 10,000ft. Out of the 8 people, 3 of us, including myself, were supposed to jump from 14,000ft. Although I was puzzled, once I boarded, I jumped at the same time as those at 10,000ft. "Wow, that's low."

After the jump, and after giving a tip, I was informed that I had jumped from 10,000ft, and I received a $30 refund. It seems that "raising the altitude to 14,000ft for a few people incurs extra fuel costs, so it's more cost-effective to jump from 10,000ft and issue refunds." Since there were no clouds, it wasn't due to weather, and it seems they always handle it this way when they don't have enough people for 14,000ft.

Even though I chose 14,000ft for the skydiving experience, they changed it to 10,000ft without my consent based on the number of participants and informed me of this afterward. If I had known this, I probably wouldn't have used the Pacific Skydiving Center, as there are cheaper companies for jumping from 10,000ft.

I received various explanations for skydiving from Japanese staff. It's frustrating to be deceived by a Japanese person abroad, rather than by a foreigner.

The Pacific Skydiving Center is an insincere company. Also, tips are placed in a box (there's no confirmation of the amount), so you can just put in $10 casually.

雲もありませんでしたので天候の理由ではなく、14000ftが8人揃わない時はいつもこういう対応をしているのでしょう。

せっかくのスカイダイビングだからと14000ftを選んでも人数によって勝手に10000ftへ変更され、事後にその事実を伝えるというこの対応はいかがなものでしょうか。
10000ftで飛ぶならより安い会社も有りますので、私はこれを知っていたらパシフィックスカイダイビングセンターは利用していないと思います。

スカイダイビングを行うための様々な説明は日本人のスタッフに受けました。
海外で外人に騙されるのならまだしも、海外で日本人に騙されるというのは余計腹が立ちます。

パシフィックスカイダイビングセンターは不誠実な会社です。
なおチップはポストに入れる形式ですので（額を確認されることもないので）適当に10ドル入れておけばいいでしょう。

The weather was unstable, and in Haleiwa, there was a power outage due to heavy rain and lightning, so we couldn't enjoy shopping, but we were able to enjoy horseback riding in the rain.

Perhaps because there were many people, there weren't enough rain gear, and the guide offered his own jacket. I thought it would be good to prepare with more leeway.

子供たちもハワイ旅行で一番楽しい思い出だと言っております。

Mr. Nakamura constantly shared various local stories, so the one-hour drive from Haleiwa to Oahu was not boring at all! The horseback riding in the valley was a bit nerve-wracking, but the horses are well-trained enough for beginners to ride comfortably, so you can ride with peace of mind. We found a brochure at the Pineapple Center and quickly made a reservation on Veltra to try it out together. The mountain climbing with the buggy was more intense than I expected! The first zip line was scary, but after that, I got used to it and felt exhilarated. I highly recommend it!
