We participated as a family.
The show had various types, including performances for men only, women only, modern styles, and introductions to Hawaiian royalty, so we were never bored. It was a bit amusing to see the same dancers come out multiple times in different costumes. According to a hula expert in our group, the level of hula was also very high.
The food was delicious, but when we were leisurely eating, they started clearing things away around 7 PM. (I wanted a second helping of watermelon...)

I booked a premium seat. Due to bad weather, the show was indoors, and the seat I was assigned was at the very end of a table among several in front of the stage, facing away from the stage at the back of a long table. It was neither the front row nor the second row as stated in the premium seat plan. There were also some troubles, and I couldn't enjoy it at all. The content of the show and the staff's response were also lacking. I might have had too high expectations just because it was at the Royal Hawaiian. After returning home, I contacted Veltra about the day's events, and they provided a discount refund. Veltra's response was quick and very good, which gave me peace of mind. Next time, I will book another Hawaiian show.

They take photos before boarding the ship, which are available for purchase while on board. You can choose between printed photos or digital files, and it's fine to decline if you don't want them.

I was taken to the first floor of the ship, but it was possible to move to the second or third floors if there were available seats. (After being seated, they provide various explanations in Japanese.)

It's a buffet style, but once you go to get food, it won't be replenished. (I'm not sure about the second and third floors.) There weren't many types of dishes available either. Alcohol is not included in the buffet price and requires separate payment.

The Independence Day fireworks last for 15 minutes, and the fireworks held every Friday last for about 5 minutes? (I can't quite remember, haha.) The waitress explained this in Japanese. ☆ The night view and fireworks were beautiful, and the music was lovely, so I'm glad I participated! The return trip wasn't as crowded as I expected.

We paid for shuttle service from the Sheraton and we arrived 5 mins before 11 which was pick up time. Every bus that pulled up I personally asked them where they were headed. By 11:30 I was getting concerned so I called the company. They said the bus arrived, called our names and waited 10 mins for us before leaving. Well that is just not the case. I was very upset and the women on the phone made it seem like I was at fault. We quickly got our car, speed over, almost didn’t make the boat.

This definitely exceeded my expectations! The lights outside Honolulu Hale were beautiful but I didn’t even know about all the trees and decorations inside! Everything was gorgeous & so festive. The lights extended down the road & there was so much to do (food, rides, etc). I also enjoyed the trolley ride to and from because parking is of course minimal in the area. Would definitely go again!

I attended with my husband and a friend.
We had guaranteed window seats on the second floor, with a jazz live performance.
Since the floor is small, we were able to enjoy both the hula and the performance up close!
There were a few Japanese people as well.
This floor had a dress code, creating an elegant atmosphere, and we had a wonderful time with delicious food and champagne.
We enjoyed the fireworks on the terrace of the top floor!
The only disappointment was forgetting the photos we had purchased when disembarking.

I have used the Star of Honolulu countdown before, and I recommend the Polynesian Show version. The jazz performance I attended previously had a nice, calm atmosphere, but the countdown really needs to be lively! The fireworks were beautifully visible right in front of us. However, the dinner with tough and flavorless steak and an incredibly chewy lobster was quite disappointing, so let's just say that was part of the experience...

The countdown from a vantage point overlooking Waikiki Beach was amazing! There was some time between the departure and the countdown, but during that time, I was able to enjoy fireworks from various hotels and homes. Looking up, I could see so many stars, which was also moving! The countdown amidst such beautiful scenery was a once-in-a-lifetime moment that I will always remember. It was truly fun!!! However, it can be quite chilly during this time, so having a long-sleeved jacket might be necessary...

出航してからカウントダウンまで時間が空いていたのですが、その間も各ホテルや家庭から上がる花火を楽しむことができました。そして上を見上げると星がたくさん見えてそれにもまた感動！どこを見ても綺麗な景色の中でのカウントダウンは今までにない一生の思い出に残る瞬間となりました。本当に楽しかった！！！

It was a nice and fun trolley ride with the kids to see the Honolulu City Christmas lights. Recommend it to anyone who wants to sit back, relax and listen to Christmas songs while enjoying the festive lights. I liked is especially that I didn't have to drive and look for parking which made the evening more enjoyable to spend with the kids.

Highly recommend this tour and buy yoir tickets thru this site. Fast and prompt notification on confirmations, etc.

Since the premium seats were fully booked, I reserved standard seats. I arrived at the hotel just after 4:30 and lined up. Our seats were at the end of the second row from the front.
