We had a BLAST! We were scheduled on a night before Christmas, however, due to very bad weather, the Mayor kept light display “dark”. Enoa Tours provided EXCELLENT customer service! They were determined and devoted to rescheduling us or giving us a full refund! We rode on the last night of City Lights and, although Christmas had past, with our upbeat and fun driver we rocked out to a special Christmas/Sha la la playlist and waved, wished a Happy New Year to everyone we passed!
MAHALO NUI LOA Enoa Tours, we will DEFINITELY make this a Christmas tradition and invite family and friends to join us!

Unlike the regular trolley, this one takes a detour to beautiful illuminated spots. When I got off the trolley in front of the city hall, the giant Santa statue and the Hawaiian-style decorations were wonderful. I see the Santa statue during the day when passing by on TheBus, but its sparkling appearance at night is exceptional. Additionally, inside the city hall, there was an exhibition of Christmas wreaths made by local citizens, and the unique wreaths were impressive.

Just a bus ride to downtown.

We had to wait about half an hour for the “tour” to begin. The driver mentioned a couple of places on the way to the drop off point but basically it was a bus ride to downtown where we got off the bus and walked around for an hour on our own and then boarded the bus back to the bus depot. An Uber would have been a lot cheaper.
I will not sign up for this tour again in the future.

The seats were at the edge, so I couldn't see the stage very well. It was a round table for eight, but the seats inside the table were free seating, so it's a good idea to arrive early. It felt more like a show centered around hula rather than a hula show. Since it was held inside a building, I couldn't feel the atmosphere of Hawaii. I was disappointed that I couldn't use all three drink tickets, but the food was very delicious.

We were seated at a central window table. There was a leak from the ceiling (it was a sunny day).

Right after we started our meal, water droplets began falling onto our food and clothes. Our clothes were ruined, and of course, we couldn't eat. Three groups, including us, totaling eight people, faced this unfortunate situation.

Everyone was quite mature about it; no one got angry or excited. Instead, there were wry smiles of disbelief. But the mood definitely plummeted! It took a long time for them to respond, and as the countdown approached, we were finally moved to a new table and given food near the dimly lit back of the ship, close to the door leading outside the cabin.

We were looked at with puzzled expressions by other guests. We couldn't see the show in front of us, and our appetite had already vanished.

Despite splurging on a good seat, it turned into the worst countdown that I will remember for a lifetime. Of course, the captain did offer an apology...

もちろん、キャプテンのお詫びの言葉はありましたが・・・

You can get off at the city hall and eat malasadas, but I chose to stay on the bus and return. The area around the city hall seems small enough to explore in about 30 minutes.

Also, the size of the boat is not very large, so depending on the wave conditions, you might experience significant seasickness. I went in short sleeves and, not being strong against seasickness, I ended up feeling groggy before reaching the viewing point, which meant I couldn't enjoy the fireworks as I had hoped. Those who are resilient to seasickness seemed to have a great time, though.

By that time, all the good seats were taken, and the only available spots were in a narrow area where we felt like we might fall every time the ship swayed. There were about a third of us in similar situations. The bus driver didn’t provide any explanation, it wasn’t mentioned on the voucher, and we didn’t realize it during the 40-minute wait. Hmm, the tour had a great view of the fireworks and was fantastic, but I wish there had been a bit more explanation beforehand.

Since it was my first time participating and I was the first to check in, I was able to sit in the front row on the second floor.

The venue facing the beach had a perfect atmosphere with the ambiance of the setting beach and the area illuminated by the bonfire. The food was delicious, and it was completely different from the luau I experienced at another hotel, which was very nice.

Thanks to choosing the premium seats and arriving early, I was able to enjoy the show from the front row. If you arrive late, you might end up with seats further back, so I recommend arriving at the designated time.

ビーチに面した会場で、暮れゆくビーチの雰囲気やかがり火で照らされた会場など、雰囲気も満点でした。
また、料理もおいしく、以前ほかのホテルで経験したルアウとは全く異なり、とても良かったです。

特にプレミア席にしたおかげ＆早めに会場に到着したおかげで最前列で鑑賞することができました。

When I arrived at the venue, I learned that due to the weather forecast predicting rain, the meal would be indoors. The sky didn't seem like it would rain, so my excitement dropped significantly from the start.

However, the luau became enjoyable as it progressed, and I was glad I participated. The hula dance performed solo by one of the dancers was truly beautiful! It was my first time being moved by hula. I would love to see that dancer's hula again.

The food was good. So, I decided to try breakfast at Surf Lanai later, but that was not as great...

Initially, I planned to make a reservation through the hotel’s website, but it stated that there would be no performance on the Thursday during my stay. I tried booking through Veltra, and it went smoothly. Just to be sure, I inquired and they confirmed that the hotel’s website was incorrect. I appreciated their quick response.

会場に行くと、天気予報が雨なので室内での食事との事。降りそうもない空だったので、スタートからテンションがかなり下がりました。

ただ、途中からルアウが楽しくなってきたので、参加して良かったと思いました。特にソロで踊られた方のフラダンスが本当に美しかった！ 始めてフラで感動しました。あの方のフラはもう一度観たいです。

お料理のお味は良かったです。なので、後日サーフラナイで朝食を頂いてみましたが、それはあまり…。

始めホテルのHPから予約するつもりでしたが、私が滞在中の木曜は休演と掲載されていました。試しにベルトラさんから予約をしたらすんなり完了。念のためお尋ねしたら確認を取って下さり、結局、ホテルのHPが誤っていたとの回答でした。迅速に対応頂いて助かりました。

Upon entering the restaurant, I received a cute headpiece that made me feel like a princess. We were also served a bottle of sparkling wine and enjoyed various cocktails.
