I tried on January 2nd in the morning and January 3rd in the afternoon, but I couldn't see anything at all; it was just a cruise. It would have been nice if they could have taken us to spots where we could see dolphins or turtles when we couldn't see whales, but there was nothing at all.

It was tough as a parent to see my 7-year-old's disappointment. I think it would be good to have announcements about the likelihood of sightings and explanations of the spots, but they spoke optimistically, saying that it’s unpredictable, which was very disappointing.

I feel like overall this was a good experience. The original booking was cancelled due to weather, but they were great about rescheduling (or cancelling altogether if we wanted) since it was weather. We went with another couple and were glad that we did. However, we did this more as a surprise and didn't have as much info as we should have (like someone not being great on boats). Despite that it was a fun experience. Like many things, it is what you make of it. The food was fine and the drinks were apparently good (I can only speak for the ones I tried but I enjoyed them). Once you get out on the water you kind of have to make your own activities since you are on a boat and that's the whole point of the experience.

If you want to have an enjoyable time on a boat, its a great experience, but if you come hoping to be entertained or something then you will be disappointed. For the price its not terrible (with the rebate). Going with a positive mindset makes for a good time. Good company also helps.

A friend and I both took our ladies on a surprise sunset cruise with Makani Catamaran and it was fantastic. It was definitely one of those experiences that was so much fun time flew right by.

The great thing about this catamaran cruise is that you launch out of Kewalo Basin on a slip, not off of a beach like some Waikiki cruises. This means that if you want you can really dress however you like- shoes, jeans, dresses.

Once you get on the boat, you're introduced to the crew and they go through the obligatory house-keeping topics: Crew introductions, location of bathrooms, safety items, where you can go on the boat, etc. Then they go over how food and drinks work.

Food for us was a buffet of five items: Veggie/tofu wraps, rice, potatoes, shoyu(soy sauce) and ginger chicken- which was the best in my opinion, and beef stir fry. Each item had one tray's worth of food, which was easily enough to satisfy everyone on board, although I don't believe there were any left overs. I've read reviews stating the food was a little nicer than Panda's Express, and that seems like a very fair statement.

The cruise came with one free drink. On the boat non-alcoholic drinks are $2 and alcoholic drinks are $6, and the more alcoholic ones like Long Island Iced Teas are $8. You can buy a commemorative cup for $8 which holds about twice as much as the disposable cups you would get otherwise. Our bartender made good recommendations based on what flavors I told him we were looking for.

The best part is just being out at sea with the people you're with. Aside from the crew instructions at the beginning, it's very hands-off. You just wander around the ship enjoying your company and great views. Although it can get a little windy, it's quiet enough that you can converse at a normal volume easily. If you get cold you can spend a few minutes on the inside of the boat to warm up a bit.

If this is within your budget, I highly recommend it. It's simple, clean, and fun.

I went sailing around Waikiki on the yacht Makani! I had been on several dinner cruises with the Star of Honolulu, but since it's a large ship, I didn't really feel like I was on the ocean. However, the Makani is much closer to the water, which gives you a real sense of being at sea. Once we got out a bit, it became a quiet and comfortable sailing experience.

Additionally, I had a surprise encounter with a whale! It was just a fleeting moment, so I couldn't capture it on camera, but it was truly moving to see it in such a setting. I definitely want to board again next time.

First, the pickup was 15 minutes late. Just as I was about to call because I couldn't wait any longer, they finally arrived, and of course, there was no apology. The staff completely ignored the fact that we were standing without seats. A minute later, when a foreigner tried to go to the deck, the staff said nothing. So, we also moved to the deck. My wife's parents, who are elderly and have weak legs, were with us, and I think it's terrible to accept reservations when there are no seats available. Even though we were visible to the staff, they did nothing and even prevented us from going to the deck. Moreover, when we were sent back, there was no explanation, and we had no idea which car we were supposed to get into. At one point, they changed the route to drop off other customers, and for some reason, they started picking up new customers, leaving us anxious about when they would finally send us. They stopped for a long time near the Sheraton without any explanation, and since it seemed like we wouldn't be departing anytime soon, we had no choice but to get off and go shopping. They picked me up in a car with cheerful music blasting! My energy was high from the morning! After getting off the bus and waiting for a while, I was guided to the boat. There were only two families, who seemed to be American. When I asked the staff to take a photo, they gave me an SD card and said it would be $30, so I decided to go for it. Honestly, it was expensive, but I’m glad I bought it for the memories. It mentioned to bring a bath towel and a change of clothes, but since only my feet got wet, I didn’t need them. The scenery was beautiful, and I felt it was a great experience to have for the first time.

I thought my 7-year-old son might hesitate at the last minute, but he watched the other adult guests being attended to first and seemed to enjoy it, saying he wanted to ride again the next day. They adjust the flight arrangements based on the size of the children, which is great. In the latter half of the flight, you get about half your body submerged in the sea, but if you don't like that, you can go ahead first. However, since the belt gets wet, your swimsuit will also get wet. So let's give up on staying dry and enjoy it to the fullest. You ride the shuttle van to and from in your swimsuit, and it's fine even if you're wet. Just bring a towel instead of a change of clothes. I had some waiting time before departure, so I was able to relax and take photos. There was a diverse crowd, including people from Europe and Asia. We were the only Japanese people there. I didn't fully understand the explanations in English, but I managed to grasp the gist of it!

The attire ranged from luxurious outfits to people in shorts and sandals, so there didn't seem to be a dress code. I tend to get seasick, so I didn't eat anything, and it was quite cold at the end of November, but I stayed outside the whole time. When my companion tried to get a refill, the meat was gone, but it seemed there were still plenty of potatoes left. The cookies they distributed were delicious.

The staff were kind, taking photos for us and being very attentive. It was disappointing that we couldn't see the orange sunset >_<. However, I was happy to see a small dolphin! I was quite satisfied with the views of Diamond Head and the hotel nightscape. I recommend this tour for active individuals.

After signing a document stating that I understood, "Even if you don't see whales, if the boat sinks or if you flirt and die, we won't provide compensation, and it's at your own risk," I boarded the ship.

The boat was clean and spacious. Additionally, there was a staff member who spoke Japanese well, which eased my concerns about the upcoming experience. They were very friendly. Alcohol and soft drinks were all-you-can-drink, and there were two restrooms available, so no worries there.

However, even though the waves were calm, the boat rocked quite a bit, so for those who get motion sickness, I think it would be a 200% chance of getting sick, and even taking motion sickness medication might not help, so it might be better to give up.

外洋まで行く、往路ではクジラの潮吹きを見つけられなかったので、半ば諦めつつも、ビール片手に、ワイキキの外洋を、上空をかすめる、旅客機を見ながらのクルージングは、それはそれで、バカンス感もあり、コンテンツとしても良いかなと思っていた、往路で、クジラの潮吹きを発見。

I saw the reviews and had some expectations, but there were mostly foreigners, with only two Japanese couples, including us. Everything was explained in English, so I didn't understand much (laughs), but I managed to grasp the atmosphere somehow! The foreigners were getting along well with each other on the spot! The food wasn't great, but I'm glad we went. It was a day of Hawaiian illustrations, so it became a nice memory.

The sunset dinner cruise I booked this time had bad weather, with cloudy skies throughout, so I didn't have high expectations... but the result was very good! The gently rocking boat, combined with the friendliness of the crew, created a very pleasant atmosphere.

Seeing the lights of the hotels in Waikiki from the sea and a pod of dolphins swimming alongside the boat was wonderful. Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset, but it became a great memory that you can't experience on land. I would love to participate again next time, on a sunny day!

クルーズは、中型船でのクルーズでした。大きな帆がありましたので、ヨットの部類に入るんでしょうか。クルーズというと豪華客船のような船をイメージしがちですが、船で海を走ればどんな船でもクルーズという意味でクルーズだと思います。この点は、他の方の口コミで分かっていたので特に気にならなかったですし、値段も安いのでそんなもんです。クルーズしながら浴びる風、見える景色は最高でした。また、利用したいと思えるものでした。船も揺れは少なく、よっている人はいませんでした。また、偶然イルカも見れて良かったです。ただ、帰りは寒いです。日が沈むとかなり寒いので、パーカー等の準備が必要です。
ディナーに関しては、5,6種類のおかず等を自分の皿にとってそれを食べるだけなので、ランチプレートのようなものです。あまり期待をしない方がいいです。あくまでも、クルーズのみを楽しみに来たと割りきるべきです。

The parachute was very colorful in the photos and other tours, but ours was mostly white with a large skull on it. I think some people might like skulls, but I was a bit disappointed because I was expecting something colorful. Also, I signed up for the 150m, but it felt like the height was the same as the 120m. Even though we didn't understand each other's languages while heading out to sea on the boat, there was a wonderful atmosphere of just wanting to have fun! The breathtaking view of Oahu from above the ocean is incredible!

My first time in Hawaii, and I wanted to do some activities, so I ended up trying parasailing.

When I got on the shuttle bus, there were several groups of people who would also be boarding the boat. Since I'm prone to seasickness, I took some motion sickness medication, changed my clothes, and headed to the boat. Two people are paired together, and once the gear is on, we take off with the signal "Go!" The moment we lift off was exciting yet a bit scary (like the feeling before a roller coaster drops), but once we reached the sky, it felt like a different world.

I felt like I was floating up high, with the boat and ocean seeming very far below, and I could see the streets of Hawaii at eye level. All I could think was how "beautiful" it was. We went up and down several times. Before going down, they asked if I wanted to splash in the water, and when I said yes, I was quite literally dropped into the water (laughs). Even as someone who gets scared easily, it was an activity that made me not want to come down and made me want to experience it again.

The guide was a handsome muscular guy. He also took pictures during the parasailing (which I believe cost an additional $30 on-site), creating great memories.

飛び立つ瞬間はワクワクしながらも少し怖い気持ち（ジェットコースター落ちる前のような）もありましたが、上空にたどり着くとそこは別世界。
上空で浮いて止まっている感覚で、船や海がとても遠く下に感じられ、目線にはハワイの街並み。
とにかく「きれい」という言葉しか出ませんでした。
何度か下げられたりまた上げられたり、を繰り返します。
下がる際に水チャポンがしたいかは事前に確認され、したいと答えるとわりとドボンと着水させられていました(笑)
怖がりの私でも、降りたくない・また体験したいと思うアクティビティでした。

ガイドのお兄さんはイケメンマッチョ。
パラセイリング最中の写真も撮ってくれ（確か別途その場で$30）、いい思い出になりました。

Parasailing is always available in tropical regions, but this tour was incredibly efficient compared to other companies I've tried. The pickup, parasailing, and drop-off were all very smooth. Thanks to that, I was able to relax in the afternoon. Also, it had been raining right up until just before we started, so we got to see a beautiful rainbow the whole time!

It was a bit chilly due to the light rain, and to be honest, the scenery didn't compare to parasailing in Miyako Island, but we did see a rainbow, and there was a fun "splash in the sea" service, so we had a great time.
