The Makani No. 2 was a two-hull yacht.
In March, Hawaii is in its rainy season, and unfortunately, the weather was not great, but luckily it didn't rain.
We set sail from Kewalo Basin and enjoyed a round trip of about two hours near Diamond Head. I was able to experience the Hawaiian sea right beneath us and had a thrilling time.
Along the way, I got quite cold, but the staff member kindly served us warm herbal tea. The cookies were delicious too! ^_^

However, the boat was very shaky, so I wouldn't recommend it for those who are prone to motion sickness... They even told me that if I felt like throwing up, I could do it in the sea, haha.

Makani Dinner Cruise exceeded our expectations!

We originally tried to book the Star Line dinner cruise, but it was booked up. I'm glad we decided to book the Makani dinner cruise. It exceeded all of our expectations! The boat wasn't very big, but was able to accommodate up to 65 people.
The crew were very welcoming and willing to help with anything we needed during our ride. They really made the whole experience a lot more personable than we would have gotten if we booked the Star Cruise.
The food was a small buffet style selection. It was all you can eat, and was excellent! They don't have an open bar, but there's one free drink included in your purchase. The bartender Chris was a real cool guy. Probably the most popular guy on the boat. I can't seem to put my finger on why lol.
To cap the night off the fireworks over the water were amazing! To see Waikiki lit up and glaring with fireworks was the highlight for me. I would definitely recommend wearing a light jacket, possibly even some pants. It gets extremely windy during the ride!
If you're considering doing the dinner cruise you can't go wrong with the Makani!

I had a great time! I'm glad I did it! All the participants at the same time were foreigners, but everyone was friendly and it was fun. It wasn't a problem at all that I couldn't speak English. The staff on the boat were handsome! It was a mistake that I didn't pay much attention to the tips and photos and left my wallet at the hotel.

I didn't understand Japanese, so I just went with the flow. There was nothing mentioned at the time of booking, but one of the instructors was taking photos and tried to sell the data (SD card) for $30, almost forcefully. [What was disappointing] The shuttle did not arrive at the scheduled time, and we were left waiting. In frustration, we called the local desk of the travel agency we were using for assistance, and they informed us that "the operator had made a mistake with the reservation time." The time we had booked and nearby times were not available, resulting in us being rescheduled for a session two hours later, wasting our morning. We might have just been unlucky, but I wanted to leave this information for future travelers.

[What was good] Parasailing was a lot of fun! The staff was very encouraging. I wore a swimsuit and did a water splash, but my upper body didn't get wet. So, I think waterproofing clothing isn't that necessary. (Please make sure to put your phone in a waterproof case when taking pictures!) Your feet will get wet, so you should bring a large towel!

【よかったこと】パラセーリング はとても楽しかったです！スタッフのお兄さんも盛り上げてくれます。水着を着ていき、水ジャポンをしたのですが、上半身は濡れませんでした。なので衣類で防水対策はそこまで必要ないかと思います。(※携帯で撮影する場合は必ず防水ケースに入れてください！※) 足は濡れるので大きいタオルは持くべきです！

I challenged myself to 150 meters. At first, I was nervous and a little scared, but I was relieved to find that it was surprisingly slow going. The view is amazing! It feels great. Since I did it near Ala Moana, I could see Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head. When we returned to the boat, the kids were thrilled as they splashed in the seawater and then went back up into the air. The instructor was handsome and funny, and the driver was entertaining as well!
