The crew were friendly and helpful, drinks were plentiful (both alcoholic and non), seating was ample and the view of the city, fireworks, stars & moon were stunning. This was my family's "make up" for not being able to stay awake for New Year's eve, and it was worth the cost and hassle of finding parking in Waikiki. My only request would be for better directions to the spot because Duke's is not obvious from the street, and also to remind people while we're checking in (and still on land) to use the bathroom of the nearby restroom - and point out where that is at.

Since it was New Year's Eve, the prices were uniformly high regardless of seat location when booking online, which was unfortunate. I recommend arriving early.

This was my tenth trip to Hawaii, and I encountered a tour that I want to join every time! I had a bad experience with seasickness during a sunset dinner cruise, so I was worried, but this tour was just fine. It seemed like there was a shortage of staff, as our table was attended by what appeared to be a beginner high school student. The wine cork broke, and after pouring the wine generously into the glasses, they were left unattended even after being empty, so I ended up pouring it myself. The staff didn't provide any advice on the spot, and on the way back in the elevator, we were laughed at for having that particular server. I think it's only natural to follow up if you're aware of the situation, but it seemed like Five Star lacked that kind of consideration.
