Okay. Enjoyed the trip on the water. Wasn’t expecting much for 4 hours. Maybe 7 fish caught total. I caught one. I probably wouldn’t do it again, but you do get nice pictures. The lunch was a hot dog rice and chili. Don’t eat it going out on the water. They cook the fish as soon as you catch it. If you really want to fish go on a sportsman fishing trip. I saw some nice Mahi Mahi at the dock @ 11:00am.

I understand it is a gamble - but the weather was very bad and windy - locals told us that when the water is that rough you tend not to see whales - maybe they should have given us option prior to boarding.

Great entertainment and the fire dance was awesome. The buffet was very good, the entertainment prior to the main show was very good. The show was worth every penny.

Our guide was cheerful, efficient (this is important when getting novices into a wetsuit!), and informative. She asked us what we wanted to see, and when my daughter said turtles, she took us straight to two turtles after an introductory snorkel lesson. This was my second trip to Hawaii, and I was so glad I finally took a lesson. For the next week, I was able to finally relax, enjoy, and see a lot of interesting sea life. The snorkel at Haunama was spectacular also.

Since I was planning to go to the North Shore in the afternoon, I chose this plan without a shuttle service. I arrived by rental car, and although there was no bench at the meeting point "Deli," the local staff were accommodating, so it wasn't a problem. I was worried about whether the tour would proceed due to the rain in the morning, but we only experienced a delay in preparation because of the rain, and we departed 15 minutes later with two boats. Everyone was Japanese, and it seemed that many participants were those who had taken the shuttle from Waikiki. Perhaps there was a Japanese-speaking guide. Despite the rain getting stronger at times, I didn't feel seasick, and we were able to see both sea turtles and manta rays. The water at Sandbar was about knee-deep, but I was very satisfied that we could land there. I didn't have high expectations for snorkeling, but there were life jackets available, so it was completely fine even if you couldn't swim. There were about 40 people swimming in lines along the coral reef, and since the time was limited and we swam the same route back and forth, it was crowded. My child was more concerned about bumping into the feet of the person in front or hitting the coral rather than looking at the fish, so it might have been better to wait on the boat. It seems there are no showers at the port, so I think it's better to prepare to return in wet swimsuits with towels and warm clothing. You can leave your belongings on the boat, but since there are no waterproof bags, it's also good to prepare for that.

I arrived at the meeting place 10 minutes late due to a misunderstanding about the meeting time. Naturally, the bus had already departed, so I took a taxi. It cost about 10,000 yen, so let's make sure not to be late for the bus next time.

After snorkeling, I had a great time playing on the slide and dancing with the staff. Everything was wonderful. Since it was April 1st, I wonder if the whale season had already passed, as I couldn't spot any. It's disappointing.
However, I was able to see parasailing from the boat, and I enjoyed lunch while cruising, so that was nice.
Lunch was a buffet style, and I made my own ham sandwich, which was delicious along with the fruit.
It would have been amazing to see even a little bit of whales; I'm really disappointed.

We paid for shuttle service from the Sheraton and we arrived 5 mins before 11 which was pick up time. Every bus that pulled up I personally asked them where they were headed. By 11:30 I was getting concerned so I called the company. They said the bus arrived, called our names and waited 10 mins for us before leaving. Well that is just not the case. I was very upset and the women on the phone made it seem like I was at fault. We quickly got our car, speed over, almost didn’t make the boat.

It was pouring rain from the morning, and with a storm approaching, the staff themselves mentioned it. Given the strong winds and high waves, I thought it was understandable that the activity in Waikiki was canceled, but it went ahead anyway. By the time we reached the point, my child became scared and seasick from the rough waves, so we ended up canceling on our end.

In Japan, wearing a life jacket is mandatory when boarding a boat, but is it just a recommendation in Hawaii? The waves were high, and our bodies were bouncing up and down inside the boat, but life jackets were only worn while attached to the parasailing sling.

On the way back, we had to switch to a rubber boat in the rough waves, of course without life jackets. I thought if we fell into the sea, my child would definitely be in danger.

I was worried about oversleeping with an early departure, but they even gave me a morning call. During the boat ride to where the dolphins were, our Japanese guide, Miu, and the crew were all cheerful and made it enjoyable. The dolphins swam close by, and we also got to see turtles up close!

The sea water was a bit cold, but the weather was nice, so I was able to enjoy snorkeling, the slide, and paddleboarding comfortably. The hamburger was delicious too!

I made the best memories on the last day of my stay in Hawaii. I'm really glad I participated!!!

海の水は少し冷たかったけど、お天気もよかったのでシュノーケリングや滑り台やパドルも気持ちよく楽しめました。ハンバーガーも美味しかったです～
