We signed up for the 150m experience as a couple. On the day of the event, the reception and crew warmly welcomed us, and we were able to add a photo service for $40. There was also a family of three from West Virginia who joined us spontaneously, and we set off. The 150m height was higher than I imagined, offering a panoramic view of the ocean and Waikiki. Since it was sunny and the temperature was high, I didn't feel cold at all even though it was December, and I could easily go into the sea. The instructor was cheerful and chatted with me; I didn't understand much English, but we had fun communicating through nuances. (laughs)

At first, I saw others not falling into the sea and thought, "Oh, you don't get wet," but then I was dramatically dropped during the performance! (laughs) Also, I have a tendency to get seasick, so I took motion sickness medicine the night before and on the day of the trip, and I constantly had mint in my mouth while on the boat, which helped me hold on just barely. However, the side-to-side rocking when the boat was stationary was quite strong, so going without any seasickness measures is risky! 💦

Additionally, children under 12 and Hawaii residents can enter for free by showing an ID, making it a very accessible spot for families and locals. It's a place that is usually difficult to visit individually, but thanks to the tour, I was able to go there with peace of mind.

The water is mostly shallow, creating an environment where even snorkeling beginners can enjoy themselves without any difficulty. A friend who joined me, who has snorkeling experience in Okinawa's Miyako Island, was constantly amazed, saying, "The fish in Hawaii are just so big and impressive!"

Furthermore, Hanauma Bay has a limit on the number of visitors, so it doesn't feel crowded, and both the underwater scenery and the landscape are beautifully preserved. I really appreciated the crew and the way they treated us! The day was beautiful - a little overcast, but so beautiful as it always is at the sandbar. The sun came through and allowed us to be dazzled by the colors of the ocean. We saw lots of fish on our snorkel segment, and the majority of the boat played a fun game of volleyball in the water. The food was good, and the boat was spacious enough to allow everyone to see the turtles and to gaze at the beauty of the landscape as we moved through the water. I was lucky to be able to spend this memorable day with my cousin visiting from out of town. This was perfect for one of our big activities! We will never forget this fun experience!

I chose this tour especially because it didn't include malasadas or acai. Since watching the sunrise wasn't the goal, the pickup and end times were just right. You can easily get malasadas and acai by going to the shops yourself, so I recommend this tour.

The Manoa Falls Trail has beautiful scenery and it’s an easy/ moderate hike going up. But the Manoa Falls at this time ( November) has little water but still worth the hike and a lot of great spots for IG.
Orlando our tour guide is very knowledgeable and made a lot of good recommendations around Honolulu. He provided us with water and bug spray. He is on time picking us up in the hotel.

After visiting the Arizona Memorial at Pearl Harbor on November 18, 2025, I went to the Battleship Missouri Memorial. I was able to make an online reservation before departing from Japan, which made my visit very reassuring.

The Battleship Missouri was launched in January 1944 and participated in the Iwo Jima and Okinawa landings. On September 2, 1945, it served as the venue for the signing ceremony of the surrender documents between the Allied forces led by General MacArthur and the Japanese government delegation led by Foreign Minister Shigemitsu.

Later, in 1950, it was deployed during the Korean War, and although it was decommissioned in 1955, it was reactivated in 1986. It participated in the Gulf War in 1991, was decommissioned again in 1992, and arrived at Pearl Harbor in 1998, opening as a memorial the following year. The Missouri is referred to as the last battleship because it was the last to be completed and the last to be decommissioned.

There are Japanese-speaking volunteer guides on board who provide detailed information about the history of the Missouri, its main guns, and the surrender document signing ceremony, so I recommend requesting a guide.

There is a counter at the entrance where you can check in. After the guided tour, you can freely explore the ship. You can visit various areas of the battleship that are not typically accessible, including the bridge, the dining areas for senior officers and sailors, the sleeping quarters, and the ship's post office, making it a valuable experience.

その後1950年に朝鮮戦争に出動、1955年に一度退役しましたが、1986年に再就役し、1991年に湾岸戦争に出動、1992年に再度退役し1998年にパールハーバーに到着し、翌年から記念館として公開されています。
ミズーリは最後に完成し最後に退役した事から最後の戦艦と呼ばれています。
艦内では日本語のボランティアガイドが常駐していて、ミズーリの歴史や主砲、降伏文書調印式の様子などを詳しく教えてくれますから、ガイドを依頼する事をお勧めします。
艦に登った所にカウンターがありそこで受付をしています。
ガイド終了後は自由に艦内を見学出来ます。艦橋を始め上級士官や水兵の食堂、寝室、艦内の郵便局など、普通目にする事が出来ない戦艦の様々な場所を見学出来るので貴重な体験です。

Royal Star Pearl Harbor Experience with Tickets to Arizona Memorial & City Tour

We spent about 75 minutes at the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center, watched the 23-minute film on December 7, 1941, and then took the shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial. Afterwards, the tour included a drive through the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) and a window‑view tour of downtown Honolulu.
