this tour was my second time to experience!
the weather was not that good but
we had so much fun!we will visit again soon.

My clients and the Leis connected at the airport and everyone is starting the vacation with the Aloha feel....

I participated with my mother. At first, I was really worried about whether we would see any whales, but within 20 minutes of the boat departing, we encountered our first one! When I looked in the direction the captain indicated, I quickly spotted it blowing water high into the air. After that, we had several more encounters! Among them, there were two whales snuggling together like a mother and her calf. I was moved to meet wild whales off the coast of Honolulu. On the way back, I also participated in a lei-making class and received a lei as a keepsake. I would love to join again if I have the chance.

母と二人で参加しました。初めは本当にくじらが見られるのか不安でしたが船が出港してから２０分もたたずに一頭目に遭遇！キャプテンが指示してくれた方向を見ると高く潮を吹いてていたのですぐに見つけられました。それからもぞくぞく遭遇！中には親子のように二頭寄り添っているくじらも。野生のくじらにホノルル沖で出会えて感動しました。帰りの船の中でレイ作りのクラスにも参加、レイも記念に頂きました。またチャンスがあったら参加したいです。

In the distance, I could see small tails and spouts. I was satisfied since I saw them about 3 to 4 times, but I wished they had been closer.

遠くに小さく、しっぽや潮吹きが見られました。３～４回は見られたので一応満足ですが、もっと近くだったら良かったのにと思いました。

I had an amazing time! Cruise was fun! I've been to many dinner cruises on the island and the Navatek boat is indeed by far the smoothest ride I've ever been. We went during the Nagaoka Festival in Waikiki and the fireworks display was so outstanding, which made it more enjoyable and memorable for us!

The staff at the Ticket Desk were also very friendly. We got there 45-minutes early and Josh was very kind enough to answer the many questions I had while we were waiting. It wasn't their normal schedule that night and Josh was able to share their regular schedule with me, the transportation and check-in procedures, and wait times from boarding to departure.

As for the servers on the boat, they were okay but they could have been better! I would have preferred them to be more energetic and quicker. Our server that night seemed a little too tired and it also took us a while to get the drinks we ordered. Very good food though! The teriyaki garlic chicken was my favorite..yummmm!!!!

The Polynesian entertainment was good but I wish it was longer. They only performed three (3) different dances and that was it. The host and singer was also good, I like that she interact with the audience while singing but I wish she could have sang songs that are more familiar to the audience. I thought the songs were too old to be sung these days.

Something that I never expected though is the dancing at the end of the cruise! We danced the night away and that was so much fun! I loved it! I'm glad I took this trip as I didn't know this is also available at Navatek. I've always thought this to be more intimate, for couples celebrating their anniversaries or honeymooners who want a quiet and romantic moment but this can be for families or group of friends as well.

We were blessed with good weather and were able to see many dolphins! I'm truly happy to have encountered sea turtles as well!
The guide was a bit scary, but explained everything thoroughly!

The boat sways quite a bit, so it's definitely better to take motion sickness medication.

船はかなり揺れるので酔い止めは絶対飲んだ方が良いです。

It was amazing.
During the roughly two-hour voyage through rough waves, we were able to see five whales.
The drink service was great, and the staff's performance was very friendly and enjoyable.
You definitely need motion sickness medication. Also, it gets cold, and when you go to the front, you can get splashed by the waves, so a towel and rain gear are essential.
There was one staff member of Japanese descent who provided boarding instructions in Japanese, but after that, it was all about enjoying the sea, the whales, and the beer.
Also, when boarding, you go barefoot. You leave your shoes on the pier, so you don't need heavy footwear.

最高でした。
波の荒い中、約２時間の航海、五頭のクジラに合うことができました。
飲み物サービスもよく、スタッフの演出も大変フレンドリーで楽しめました。
酔い止めは、必ず必要です。 また寒く 前方にでると波もかなりかぶるのでタオル・レインウエアーは必携でしょう。
スタッフに日系人が、一人で日本語での乗船案内はしてくれましたが、あとは海とクジラとビールを楽しむモードでOKです。
尚、乗船するときは、裸足です。靴は、桟橋においていきますのでごっつい靴はいりません。

We were very lucky to see the whales appear numerous times right in front of our window as we were eating our lunch. We chose a table furthest from the buffet line, but it was definitely worth it making the trip. It was a beautiful afternoon, the waves were calm and no body from our party got sea sick. Food was amazing! The ukelele, hula and lei making cultural activities on board gave people of all ages and cultures a chance to experience a taste of Hawaii.

After the check-in at Kualoa Ranch we took a shuttle to Moli'i Fishpond deck. When crossing the fishpond on a floating boat make sure to have your camera ready! It's the best time to take pictures of the majestic mountain range. The scenery is incredible, you feel like you are in a movie!

Once on the other side, we started enjoying our day at this beautiful private beach with views from Chinaman's Hat and Kaneohe Bay. They have restrooms, changing rooms, fresh water shower, covered picnic tables and a staff member to help you if you need anything. Make sure to bring sunscreen and some snacks.

My brother and I spent the morning kayaking, snorkeling, stand up paddling and playing games. The staff took us on a quick Glass Bottom Boat ride and we spotted a lot of green sea turtles! After all those activities we were just relaxing in a hammock under a palm tree.

I will definitely come back to enjoy another relaxing day there!

I tend to get motion sickness, so I took anti-nausea medication on the morning of the trip, but I started feeling sick on the way back and ended up vomiting... The staff advised me that it's better to take the medication starting the night before. Since the boat sways quite a bit, I recommend that those who are prone to motion sickness take it the night before. Although I got seasick, I was moved to be able to swim with wild dolphins!☆

乗り物酔いをしやすいわたしは当日の朝に酔い止め薬を飲みましたが帰りの船上で気分が悪くなり吐いてしまいました・・・
スタッフの方から前日の夜から酔い止め薬を飲むといいんだよ。と教えていただきました。
船はかなり揺れますので乗り物酔いをされやすい方は前日の夜からの服用をおすすめします。
船酔いをしてしまいましたが
野生のイルカと一緒に泳げることができて感動しました☆

I took my family on this excursion and was delighted as everyone was. Tour guide was witty and very informative. Boat ride to sub was added bonus. We were busy keeping up with all of the different fish species passing by our observation ports in the sub!
Sub was quite comfortable. Premium ride was excellent. I highly recommend taking this tour. You won't be disappointed !

It was a beautiful, sunny, windy day, the waves were choppy and the dolphins were no where in sight but the humpback whales and the green sea turtles made up for it. From the time we boarded the catamaran till the time we were dropped off back to the hotel the crew members were very attentive to our needs. With the choppy waves my daughter got ill but with the good nap on the cushion, located in the bow, she was all refreshed and ready to snorkel.

It was the first time for my children to snorkel but Lawrence took very good care of them on and off the catamaran. The most memorable moment was when they caught a fish and had asked my son reel in the catch. His dream came true that moment! Thank you Ko Olina Ocean Adventures, its crew members and Jacob for making it special day for us. We will be sure to visit you again!

I participated on March 2nd. The weather was clear. After a 40-minute drive from Honolulu, we switched to a boat. By the way, there were 80 participants that day! We split into two boats and first went for a sea turtle watch. We saw about three turtles. Since we were on the boat, we weren't very close. I wasn't expecting much, so it was okay, and then we moved to the sandbar. From a distance, you could see a different color area gradually getting closer! When the boat arrived, I felt a sense of awe, but when I got off... wow!!! I was standing on the water! It was amazing! I took a lot of pictures, but since there were 80 people, we spent quite a bit of time at the sandbar. It was pretty cold standing after getting wet. Then we split into snorkeling and lunch groups, and afterward, we switched. We also played a bit with floaties and kayaks before finishing. On the way back, you can buy photos taken by Captain Bruce for $10.

We arrived at the sandbar around 10 AM, and at that time, the water was about knee-deep. If you check online for the sandbar's low tide, you can find out the tide times for that day. I felt like 10 AM was about twice as deep as at low tide. The height you often see in pictures is indeed around the shin level. I've heard that sometimes you can't access the sandbar at high tide, so it's good to confirm. The day I participated, low tide was at 8 AM, so I wanted to join the early morning tour (which you need to book directly with Captain Bruce)... When I booked the tour in January, it wasn't available, but the early morning tour had somehow returned... and the period was from March 2nd, the day I participated... I regret not checking!

I highly recommend this tour. However, I think it's important to check the tide times thoroughly! Also, it was quite cold, and there were people with purple lips, so I think a waterproof hoodie or something similar is necessary.

3月2日に参加。天候は晴れ。
ホノルルから車に揺られて40分。その後船に乗り換えてます。ちなみにこの日の参加者は80人！2艇に分かれてまずはウミガメウォッチ。3匹くらい見えました。船の上からなのでそんなに近くないです。そんなに期待してなかったしまあまあの感じで、サンドバーに移動。遠くから見も色が違うとこがだんだん近づいてくる！船が着いた時はほーっと感じでしたが、降り立つと…おー！！！海の上に立っている！すげー！って感じでした。写真を撮りまくりましたが、80人もいるので結構な時間サンドバーにいました。体が濡れた後立っていると結構寒いです。そしてシュノーケリングとランチに分かれ、その後交換みたいな感じでした。その後も少し浮き輪やカヤックなどで遊んで終了です。帰りにキャプテンブルース側で撮ってくれた写真を10ドルで買えます。

10時くらいにサンドバーに着きましたが、その時にはひざ上ぐらいの深さでした。ネットでサンドバー干潮で調べるとその日の満潮干潮が分かります。10時は干潮の時の倍くらいの深さだった気がします。よく写真でみるのは確かにすねくらいの高さだな。満潮のときはサンドバーに入れないこともあると聞いたこともあるので、要確認です。
参加した日は8時が干潮でしたので、早朝ツアー（キャプテンブルースで直接申し込み必要）に参加したかった…ツアー申し込んだ時（1月）にはなかったのに、早朝ツアーがいつの間にか復活していた…しかも期間は自分が参加した3月2日から…自分の確認不足、悔やまれる！

このツアーは超おすすめです。ただしっかり満潮干潮を調べたほうがいいと思います！あと結構寒くて唇紫色している人もいたので、濡れてもいいパーカーなど必要だと思います。

A bright, cheerful, and funny Japanese guide came to greet us☆

First, we went to see the turtles♪ From the boat, we spotted many sea turtles, and miraculously, we even saw a manta ray!

It was a bit far away, but we caught a glimpse☆

Next, we headed to the sandbar! The weather wasn't great, so it was a bit chilly, but it still felt nice＼(^o^)／

The guide was super enthusiastic and took lots of photos, which was really fun ( ^ω^ )

We then went snorkeling and observed the fish living around the coral♪

Back on the boat, it was sandwich time♪

The boat also had a restroom, which made it comfortable!

I checked the tide levels for the day we were going, and it turned out to be just right, so I think it's a good idea to check in advance♪

船にはトイレもついてて快適でした！

念のために行く日の潮位を調べて行きましたが丁度良かったので、事前に調べたほうがいいと思います♪

I participated alone, but I had so much fun from start to finish. Since it was nature, I thought it would be lucky to see dolphins, but I was amazed to see over 100 of them!!! I also got to see a whale breach and swim with sea turtles.

In the morning, I enjoyed freshly made malasadas from Leonard's, and for lunch, I had a cheeseburger, juice, and snacks, so I never felt hungry♪

Above all, the staff were absolutely fantastic. Sue kept talking to us, which made me feel at ease, and they took great photos of me while I was playing in the ocean. When I thought it was cold, they brought out warm tea, and they promptly collected any trash, so they really took care of everything.

"They say swimming with dolphins is a once-in-a-lifetime dream, right? Today is that day! Since they are wild dolphins, there's no guarantee, but all of us staff want you to fulfill your dreams! You won't get this chance many times in your life!"

It was a precious day during my trip. Their warm words and actions from our perspective were very touching♡

I will definitely participate again! Dolphin University is the best!!!!

一人で参加したのですが、最初から最後までとっても楽しかったです。
自然相手なのでイルカに会えたらラッキーとは思っていましたがまさかの100頭越え!!!
クジラのブリーチも見れて、ウミガメとも泳ぐ事が出来ました。

朝はレナーズの出来たてマラサダを頂き、お昼にはチーズバーガーとジュースとスナックも頂いたので空腹になる事がありませんでした♪

何よりもスタッフの方が最高に良かったです。
スーさんがひたすら話してくれていたので安心感がありましたし、海で遊んでいる自分の写真もイイ感じに撮って頂けます。寒いな~と思った時には温かいお茶を出していただけたり、ゴミもすぐに回収しに来てくれるので至れり尽くせりです。


「イルカと泳ぎたな～って一生に一度は思う夢の事だよね？
今日はまさにその時！野生のイルカだから100％は無いけど、私達スタッフは皆さんに夢を叶えて欲しいと思ってるんだよ～！こんなチャンス一生に何回もないでしょ？」

って。旅行できた貴重な一日。私達の目線で発してくれる言動がとても温かかったです♡


絶対また参加しますね！イルカ大学最高ですよ～！！！！

The weather was nice, and I was able to see sea turtles! The hamburger was delicious as well. I think it's worth participating at least once if you go to Hawaii.

The staffs were nice and the activity itself was priceless. But motion sickness can really get to you... most of the people on our boat were feeling sick after half an hour.. I was puking from the beginning to the end although I had preventive patch on me. So be sure to be in the best physical condition as possible in order to truly enjoy what the ocean has got to offer!!!!

The guide and staff were fun and cheerful, making the experience enjoyable. However, it was a bit disappointing that the sky was cloudy and the waves were high that day. The sandbar was about knee-deep. There's not much you can do about the weather, though. I purchased some beautiful photos taken with a DSLR camera. If you're looking to save money, I recommend bringing a waterproof camera.

The snorkeling was very safe, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I was able to see sea turtles up close. The BBQ lunch was delicious, with a healthy flavor and content that Japanese people tend to prefer.

We participated in snorkeling, which was great, but those who didn't might have found it a bit boring. Families were feeding the turtles and taking photos, while some couples were napping on the boat. Even as a beginner swimmer, I didn't find snorkeling difficult, so I think participating would likely lead to a higher satisfaction level.

ガイドさんをはじめスタッフが楽しく陽気な人柄で楽しませてくれました。ただ、この日は終始曇り空で波が高かったのがちょっと残念でした、、、サンドバーも膝丈くらいまではあったかな。お天気ばかりは仕方がないことですね^^;一眼レフで綺麗に写真を撮っていただけたので購入しました。節約したい方は防水用カメラ持参がオススメです。
シュノーケリングも十分に安全を確保してもらい、堪能できました。ウミガメも間近で見ることができました。BBQランチは、日本人好みのヘルシーな味付けと内容でとてもおいしくいただきました。
私たちはシュノーケリングに参加したのでよかったのですが、参加しなかった方は少し退屈だったのかも。家族連れはカメに餌をあげたり写真を撮って楽しんでいましたが、カップルの中には船で眠っている方もいました。泳ぎは初心者の私でもシュノーケリングは難しく感じなかったので、できれば参加したほうが満足度が高いかなと思います。

I participated in a tour that included breakfast. It was convenient to have a plan where they picked me up at the hotel. The breakfast was delicious, and I was impressed by the beautiful sight of the whale's spout and tail. I was back at the hotel by 11:30, which allowed me to do some sightseeing in the afternoon. I think it's a great plan.

朝食食付きのツアーに参加しました。ホテルまで迎えに来てもらうプランで移動も楽でした。朝食も美味しく、クジラは潮吹きと尾ビレがキレイに見えて感動でした。11:30にはホテルに戻れて午後の観光もでき良いプランだと思います。

Fabulous weather and sightings more than we could count, including turtle! Food geared more for oriental tastes. Even though guides tried to control crowds for eating, it was caos! Bring your own food if you have specific needs or tastes. Crew friendly and helpful. Conservationist on board VERY knowledgeable.

I was about to give up when I couldn't find any whales and was preparing to return to port. Then, I spotted a whale spouting water. They extended the cruise time and slowed down the boat. After that, I was able to see it spout several times, and I also caught a glimpse of its distinctive tail. The excitement of finally seeing the whale was overwhelming. On top of that, a sea turtle swam by gracefully. The view of Waikiki from the sea was beautiful, and I think it's great to enjoy a leisurely cruise while waiting for the whales.

クジラはなかなか見つからず、間もなく帰港してしまうと諦めかけていた時でした。
クジラが潮を吹くのを見つけました。
クルーズ時間を延長し、船のスピードを落としてくださいました。
その後、何回か潮を吹くのが見られ、
あの特徴的な尾も見えました。
ずっと待っていたクジラの登場に、感動も高まりました。
おまけに、ユラユラ泳ぐ海亀も現れました。
海からのワイキキの景色も美しく、
のんびりとクジラを待つクルージングを楽しむのが良いと思います。

I participated because I heard there would be dolphins and SUP.
...There were dolphins, but the sea was murky, so I couldn't see them well (tears).
Moreover, SUP was canceled due to the poor sea conditions.
I was fine, but there were many people on their honeymoon, and it was quite unfortunate to see that a significant number of them were getting seasick.
There were also people from Dolphin Junior High nearby, and it seemed that the first discoverer was from Dolphin Junior High, so they were able to enjoy the experience much closer and for a longer time than we could.

イルカとSUPもあるというので参加しました。
・・・がいるにはいましたが、海が濁っていてよく見えない（涙）
おまけに海の状態が悪いからとSUPは中止。
私は何ともありませんでしたが、
ハネムーンで来ていた方が多く、
かなりの確率で船酔いしていたのが見ていて気の毒でした。
近くにイルカ中学の方達もいたのですが、
第一発見者の方がイルカ中学の方で、
私達よりは、はるかに近く時間もたっぷりと堪能できたようです。

I participated in my first trip to Hawaii with my family. We took a taxi from our hotel in Waikiki to the pier, checked in, and boarded the ship! I was a bit anxious about the language barrier since everything was in English, but there were Japanese announcements, so I didn't have much trouble. There were quite a few Japanese guests as well. The cruise started in the morning with great weather, and since we chose a plan without meals, we stayed on the top deck enjoying the sea and the scenery. As for the whales... we saw them! We could see the spouts and dorsal fins every few minutes, and it felt like we were cruising alongside them, which was very pleasant; I wanted to keep watching. I also hope to see them jump next time!

初めてのハワイ旅行で家族と一緒に参加しました。ワイキキのホテルからタクシーで船着場まで行きチェックインして乗船！英語ばかりだったらと少し不安でしたが日本語のアナウンスもあったので大して困ることもありませんでした。日本人客もけっこういました。朝からのクルーズで天気も良く、食事なしのプランにしたのでずっと一番上のフロアにいて海と景色を楽しみました。肝心のクジラですが、、、見えました！何分か置きに潮吹きや背びれが見えて一緒に平行してクルーズしているようでとても気持ちが良く、ずっと見ていたいなーと思いました。ジャンプも見てみたいと思いましたが次回に期待します！

It was a lot of fun to experience the boat trip with my friends. The boat was small and swayed a bit, but after having a cocktail, I felt energized. When I went out on deck, suddenly a whale appeared, surfacing multiple times and spouting water—it was a surprising and happy moment. We had a great view of Diamond Head, and the sunset was absolutely perfect for the mood. Just when I thought it was time to head back, the whale showed its tail several times, as if inviting us to come back to the waters of Hawaii. I plan to come again next year. The sunset cruise was amazing!

友人夫婦と一緒に初体験船は小さいがとても楽しかったです。船は少し揺れカクテルを少し頂いたら元気になれ甲板に出ると突然鯨が～背中を何度も出し潮吹きを目のあたりし驚き幸せのひと時でしたダイヤモンドヘッドが良く見られ日が落ちるサンセットはムード最高でした。そろそろ帰るのかな～と思っていると又クジラが尾びれを何度も見せていただき又ハワイの海に来て～
て行っているようでした。来年も来る予定です。サンセットクルーズは最高～です。

I participated with four friends! The staff were very cheerful and fun, the freshly baked hamburgers were delicious, and we had a wonderful experience with the amazing ocean! I think a light jacket is essential since the weather can change quickly.

友人4人と参加しました！とても明るくて楽しいスタッフさんや、焼きたての美味しいハンバーガー、そして素晴らしい海を体験できて大満足です！天候が変わりやすいので羽織りものは必須だと思います。

This was exactly what we were hoping for. It would have only been better if we saw dolphins as well. The staff was friendly and knowledgable, the food was great, and the whales were perfect!

This was a great experience. Very knowledgable naturalist. The first cruise out we didn't see any whales, but they guarantee sightings, so they gave everyone a voucher for a free second trip. I went right back out on the lunch cruise and we saw a bunch of whales! We even followed (at a respectful distance) a mom and baby for about an hour. She breached right in front of our boat! The food was very good (especially because I originally signed up for the breakfast cruise so I wasn't counting on eating). Staff was great, I'd recommend this to anybody!

It was an amazing way to spend the day out on the bay! I have heard so much about how beautiful whale watching is, and they are not wrong. The captain and the naturalists on board knew everything and anything there is about humpback whales. They even have library books on their tables for everyone to read and learn. Lunch was great with an endless buffet of local food. The whales were awesome! They were flapping their tales every 5 minutes. We found a pod of about 6 whales. None of them however jumped or stood out of the water, but that is not a problem. We were fortunate to have found them in 20 minutes of departure. We had a good 2 hours of observing and trying to take as much pictures as we could.
