Since the number of participants had not been reached, the captain arranged for the boat to go out, resulting in a super private tour with just two groups, including ourselves. It was reassuring to have a Japanese staff member on board when Japanese people were present. The Japanese staff were very engaging, allowing us to enjoy activities like sliding and stand-up paddleboarding, and they took plenty of photos while playing with us. We were able to see many whale jumps and also spotted a pod of dolphins. During snorkeling time, we even encountered sea turtles, which was a lot of fun.

催行人数に達していなかったところを、船長の計らいで船が出ることになったので、自分たち含め2組での参加で超プライベートツアーでした。
日本人が乗る際には日本人スタッフが同乗してくれるので、安心しました。
船のアクティビティ、スライダーやサップもやらせてもらって、写真も撮ってくれて沢山遊んでくれた日本人スタッフさんでした。
クジラのジャンプは沢山見ることができたし、イルカの群れも見ることができました。
シュノーケルタイムには海亀もいてとても楽しかったです。

The local guides were also very kind. The water was so clear that we could see various fish. There were whales further out, and we could see them a little. After diving, we could also see the boat going down for the next group to take their turn.

現地ガイドの人たちも親切でした。
海の透明度が高いので色々な魚を見ることができました。
沖の方には鯨がいて少し見えました。潜水後は次の人たちと交代するため、船が潜水していく様子も見られます。

For our first overseas trip, I took my father and mother with me to Hawaii. We made reservations because there are fireworks on Friday, and I wanted to end our last night with delicious food.

As a result, we created the most wonderful memories and got great photos! We enjoyed delicious meat and seafood in an amazing location. With jazz music playing and the sunset right in front of us, we went outside to enjoy the photos and the sunset while waiting for our food. We were also able to see the fireworks perfectly.

Both of my parents were delighted, and when I asked them what was the best thing they ate in Hawaii, they said it was the meat and lobster we had on the last day!

初めての海外旅行である、父と母を連れて３人でハワイへ。
金曜日は花火が上がるのと、最終日の夜は美味しい食べ物で終えたかったので予約しました。

結果、最高に良い思い出と写真をGETできました(^^)
美味しいお肉と海鮮、最高のロケーション。ジャスが流れ、目の前にはサンセット。
料理が出るまで外に出て、写真や夕陽を楽しめました。花火もばっちり見ることができました。

両親共に喜んでくれて、1番ハワイで食べて美味しかったものは？と聞いたら、
【最終日に食べたお肉とロブスター】でした！

Hanauma Bay has become reservation-only after COVID, and while it's great to have guaranteed entry, I think the early morning schedule and the rental/transportation prices are high. Is there a way to make it cheaper if you only need transportation without the rental? (Entry is possible if you wait in line, so it might be possible to go by Uber, but it could be difficult to enter on the day without a guide from a service.)

ハナウマ湾がコロナ後予約制になり、個人での予約が難しい中、確実に入れるのはありがたいが、朝が早くレンタル/送迎の値段としては高いと思う。レンタル不要で送迎のみでもっと安くならないか？（入場は並べば良いので、自分でウーバーで行く事も可能かもだが、業者同行がないと当日入場は難しいかも？）

The guides were very kind, cheerful, and lively, and the tour itself was enjoyable!

However, the reason I gave it 4 stars is that I wish I could have enjoyed snorkeling a bit more. About 10 years ago, when I participated in a snorkeling tour in Hawaii, I was amazed to see many colorful fish up close under the guidance. But this time, the dolphins, turtles, and fish were all at a distance... It was disappointing because I couldn't distinguish their colors.

Points to note:
- Even with two long-sleeved rash guards, it was still cold...! It would be good to prepare long pants or consider a wetsuit.

- I read that I should bring just enough money to buy a little food, so I went empty-handed, but at the end, there was a tipping situation, which made it really awkward. Including the tip, it has definitely become much more expensive compared to 10 years ago…!

- For those who are prone to motion sickness, taking motion sickness medication is a must. There were kids sitting there looking unwell the whole time, and it was sad to see.

ガイドの皆さんとても優しくて明るくてノリノリで、ツアー自体は楽しかったです！！

ただ、⭐︎4にした理由は、もう少しシュノーケリングを楽しめたらよかったなぁと思ったからです。
10年前くらいにハワイでシュノーケリングツアーに参加した時は、案内のもとたくさんのカラフルなお魚を間近に見られて感動したものです。
だけど今回はイルカもカメもお魚も遠目で…
色は判別できない距離感だったので残念に思ってしまいました。

注意点
・上は長袖ラッシュガード2枚重ねても寒かったです…！下も長いものを用意するとか、ウェットスーツおすすめ。

・持ち物のお金は少し食べ物が買えるくらいと書いてあったので手ぶらで行ったら、最後チップを払う流れになったのですごく気まずかったです。
チップ含めると、10年前よりかなり高くなりましたよね…！

・酔いやすい人は酔い止め必須です。ずっと気分悪そうに座ってる子達がいて可哀想でした。

The tide was high, so it was hard to fully enjoy the sandbar, but I had a great time playing with activities and meeting sea turtles. There were floaties prepared for small children who can't snorkel, as well as for adults, so even those who aren't good swimmers will be fine.

潮位が高く、サンドバーは堪能できたとはいいがたいですが、アクティビティで遊んだりウミガメに会えたり、とても楽しかったです。
シュノーケルができない、小さな子供用の浮き輪や大人用にも浮具が準備されていたので、泳ぎが苦手でも大丈夫です。

I previously participated in a similar tour in the Maldives, and while it might have been the timing, I had a hard time seeing sea turtles. However, on this tour in late March, I was able to see over 10 sea turtles. In fact, I found two before boarding the boat at the port.

The crew was also former residents of Japan and spoke fluent Japanese, which surprised me with how fluent they were. They were all very nice, and even my shy daughter seemed to open up to them.

Thank you for providing an experience that allowed my children to snorkel with sea turtles and tropical fish, and play at the sandbar—an experience we couldn't have in Japan.

以前モルジブで同じようなツアーに参加しましたが、時期もあるかもしれませんが、ウミガメになかなか会えず大変でしたが、このツアーは三月下旬での参加でしたが、10匹以上のウミガメさんに会えました。なんなら、船に乗る前に港ですで2匹見つけました。
クルーも元日本在住で、日本語ペラペラで、流暢すぎてビックリしました。
いい人ばかりで、人見知りの娘も、心を打ち解けているようでした。
参加して、子供達にウミガメや熱帯魚とのシュノーケリング、サンドバーで遊んだりした日本では味わえない経験をさせていただき、ありがとうございました。

In a large facility, two girls were having a great time. The bodyboarding was fun, but it seems the thrilling water slide was the best part. The 123 cm tall girl was also able to enjoy it. Instead of a lunch pack, there was an all-you-can-eat option. The steak was surprisingly tender.

The only downside was the pickup. We arrived at the park 30 minutes late.

This is a tour where you dive about 100 feet deep to observe fish and other marine life. You board a boat from the port of Waikiki and then switch to a submarine for the dive.

At first, there isn’t much to see and there are few fish, but as you get closer to a sunken airplane or ship, you encounter large schools of fish! After viewing one side, the submarine turns around to show the guests on the opposite side as well. Along the way, we also saw sharks and sea turtles swimming.

The guide's explanations are in English. I should have downloaded the Japanese guide in advance, but I forgot. However, the English explanations provide real-time descriptions of the situation, so I’m not sure if the Japanese explanations follow that. I think it’s better to try to listen to the English.

Before boarding the boat, they take photos which they develop and sell by the return trip. You can also download the data via QR code later, but that is also paid. I believe the experience of seeing the fish in person is more valuable than the photos, especially since you can see them without diving.

100ftほどの水深に潜り魚などを観察するツアー。ワイキキの港から船に乗り、海上で潜水艦に乗り換えて潜ります。

潜った当初は何もなく魚も少ないですが、沈んだ飛行機や沈没船の近くに来ると魚の大群が！片側が見た後は旋回して逆側のお客さんにも見せてもらえます。
途中、サメや海ガメが泳ぐ姿も見られました。

ガイドさんの説明は英語。事前に日本語のガイドをダウンロードすれば良かったのですが、忘れてました。ただ、英語の説明はリアルタイムの状況説明なので、日本語の説明がそれにならっているかは分かりません。頑張って英語を聞いた方が良いかと思います。

船に乗る前に撮影した写真を帰りまでに現像して売りに来ます。データはQRコードで後日でもダウンロードできますが、そちらも有料。
写真よりも実際に見る魚たちの方が貴重な体験だと思います。ダイビングせずとも見られるんですから。

It was very organized. The staff were all helpful and happy. I’ve always wanted to see whales and this tour made it all possible. Didn’t want the tour to end!

The official website of the USS Missouri Memorial (https://ussmissouri.org/) also sells tickets, but I couldn't purchase them with my Japanese credit card, so I bought them through VELTRA. There are so many highlights that it might be difficult to see everything in one day. I considered other sightseeing tours departing from Honolulu, but I decided to split my visit into two days to take my time.

I purchased tickets for the Captain's Tour and the Chief Engineer's Tour (in Japanese) on the day of my visit, and they showed us places that are normally off-limits, making it a very interesting tour.

After visiting the USS Missouri, watching the movies "Battleship" and "Midway" provided a different perspective.

戦艦ミズーリ記念館の公式サイト(https://ussmissouri.org/）でも販売されていますが、日本のクレジットカードでは購入できなかったため、VELTRAで購入しました。見所がたくさんあるため、1日で回りきるのは難しいかもしれません。他のホノルル発着の観光ツアーも検討しましたが、ゆっくり観られるように2日間に分けて訪れました。

戦艦ミズーリのキャプテンツアーとチーフエンジニアツアー（日本語）は当日受付で購入し参加しましたが、通常では入れない場所を見せてくれるので、大変興味深いツアーでした。

戦艦ミズーリを見学した後に、映画『バトルシップ』と『沈黙の戦艦』を観るとまた違った視点で観ることができました。

I think it's less likely to get seasick on a large ship, but when you go up to the fourth deck for whale watching, the height increases the swaying, so it feels quite shaky. If you're concerned, I recommend taking motion sickness medication.

We were able to spot quite a few whales. While we didn't see any huge jumps with half their bodies out of the water, we did see them spouting water and their tails and dorsal fins coming out of the surface multiple times. I thought it would be difficult to search in the vast ocean, but since everyone is watching, you quickly notice when they appear, and it creates quite a buzz. There was also another small boat on a tour nearby, and if that boat is stopped, it means they are observing whales in that area, which makes it easy to understand.

大型の船なので酔いにくい方だとは思いますが、クジラウォッチのために４階甲板の上まで出ると、高くなる分揺れの幅が増幅されるため、体感的にはかなり揺れる気がします。ご心配な方は酔い止めおすすめします。

クジラは結構目撃することができました。体半分飛び出すような大ジャンプは見られませんでしたが、潮吹いたり、尾びれ・背びれ？が水面から出てきたりするのは何度も見ることができました。だだっ広い海原で探すのが大変かと思いましたが、みんなが見ているので現れるとわーっとなるのですぐ気がつきます笑。同時に別の小型の船もツアーで近くにいましたが、その船が止まっている場合はその近くにいる（観察中）ということなので、それもわかりやすいです。

I heard that the ocean is more beautiful than Waikiki Beach, so I decided to join. It was tough to wake up early and participate, but Hanauma Bay was more stunning than I imagined. I also think there are more fish to see compared to Waikiki Beach. I wasn't confident in my swimming skills, but I enjoyed the wide area where I could stand in shallow water.

ワイキキビーチよりも海が綺麗との話を聞き参加しました。早朝に起床し参加するのは大変でしたが、ハナウマ湾は想像以上に絶景でした。また、見ることのできる魚の数もワイキキビーチより多いと思います。私は泳ぎに自信がありませんでしたが、足のつく浅いところの範囲も広く楽しめました。

Great menu, great pacing, the kids were laughing the whole time and off their cell phones which is a win!!

We had a greast day, we got to see a ton of sea life including a few turtles!

I was worried about seasickness and took some motion sickness medication, but the waves were less intense than I expected, and I was totally fine. As for the whale watching, I was starting to think we might not see anything, but then I spotted a spout in the distance! Cheers erupted, and in response, the whale showcased its spouts and tail several times. Seeing it live was truly moving.

船酔いが心配で酔い止め飲みまいたが、思ったより揺れが少なく、全然平気でした。
肝心のホエールウォッチはなかなか見当たらずもしかして、見れないのでは？　と思っていたら、遠くにシューっと潮吹きを発見！歓声が上がり、それに答えるように何度も潮吹きや尾びれを披露してくれました。生で見るとほんと感動です。

You can see a lot of fish at waist-deep water, making it enjoyable for snorkeling beginners. Although it was a bit cold to stay in the water in March due to the clouds, once you get in, it’s not a problem.

腰の高さの水深で沢山の魚を見ることができ、スノーケリング初心者で十分楽しめます。海に入り続けるには３月の曇りは少し寒いですが、入ってしまえば問題なしでした。

The hotel provided a shuttle service, making transportation easy, and the crew on the boat was great at engaging with us, which made it a lot of fun. At the sandbar, we were able to take beautiful photos, and while snorkeling, we saw a sleeping turtle and many colorful fish. The large coral was truly impressive. The kids also had a great time and were very happy, creating wonderful memories. The hamburgers on the boat were also very delicious.

ホテルまで送迎してくれるので移動も楽だし、船のお姉さんも話が上手くて最高に楽しかったです。
サンドバーでは綺麗な写真も撮れたし、シュノーケルでは寝ているカメを見れたり、色とりどりの魚もたくさん見れました。とっても大きい珊瑚に感動でした。
子供達も良かった！と喜んでいてとてもいい思い出になりました。船上でのハンバーガーもとても美味しかったです。

The staff who spoke Japanese were very helpful, and my child had a great time! My son got quite wet from the energetic dolphins, but the weather was nice, so he dried off quickly. The park itself is small, so it's easy to explore. Feeding the fish and watching the dolphin show were also fun.

日本語が話せるスタッフがサポートしてくれて子供も楽しめました！元気なイルカで息子は結構濡れましたが、天気も良くすぐ乾きました。パーク自体は狭いのですぐ見て回れます。魚の餌やりやイルカショーなども楽しかったです。

I had a very meaningful morning! Unfortunately, I didn't understand about 80% of the English explanations, but when there were whales, it was very easy to understand the direction based on the time on the clock relative to the boat. On that day, we were able to see a small whale jumping, and everyone on the boat was really excited! I tend to get motion sickness and was worried about seasickness, but there was hardly any rocking, and I was able to enjoy it comfortably. If you're visiting Honolulu during this time, I think this is an activity you absolutely should participate in!

非常に有意義な朝の時間を過ごすことができました！！英語の説明は残念ながら8割わからなかったですが、クジラがいた時には船を基準にして時計の時刻で方向を知らせてくれるため、とても分かりやすかったです。
この日は小さなクジラがジャンプする姿を見ることができ、船上もかなり盛り上がっていました！
乗り物酔いしやすく、船酔いも心配していましたが、ほとんど揺れもなく快適に過ごすことができました。
この時期にホノルルに訪れるなら、絶対に参加すべきアクティビティだと思いました！

I was a bit anxious since it was an English-speaking driver. It seemed like the meeting point was different, and even after 10 minutes, the driver hadn't arrived. When I tried to contact them, the line was busy. Just when I was starting to think they might not come, the driver called my name loudly, and I was able to get on safely. During the ride, I couldn't understand the announcements at all, and since we were the only Japanese people, I felt a bit isolated, haha. We also received two bottles of mineral water for the round trip! Since it was just a plan to climb, I didn't feel rushed and was able to fully enjoy the scenery and nature. However, I later found out that taking the bus would have been significantly cheaper, which was a good lesson learned.

英語ドライバーという事だったので不安でした。
待ち合わせ場所が違っていたようで10分過ぎても来ず、連絡しても通話中。行けないかもと思っていたらドライバーさんが大きな声で名前を呼んでくれて無事に乗れました。移動中の案内は全くわからず翻訳機能も使えず私たちだけ日本人だったので少し疎外感笑。
ミネラルウォーターも行き帰りで2本いただきました！
登るだけのプランだったので焦ることもなく景色も自然も存分に堪能出来ました。
ただ、バスで行ってたらゼロ一桁安かったと後から知りいい勉強になりました。

It was great to see the whale, but it's disappointing that the boat turned back so soon after. To be honest, I wanted to see it a little longer.

I participated in Bon Voyage Kobe on the recommendation of Mr. Tamura, and it was great to see whales up close in relatively nearby waters. Unlike Kochi and Okinawa, the waves were lower, so I didn't get seasick, which was a plus.

ボン・ヴォヤージュ神戸　田村氏に勧められて参加しましたが割と近海でクジラが近くで見れて良かったです。高知や沖縄と違って波も低めで船酔いしなかったのがよかったです

Really fabulous duo tour, our movie guide was so knowledgeable. Lunch was delicious.

This evening was very crowded, not our style but we did like the firework show from the boat.

You are tightly seated within other groups, but regardless of that the crew and entertainment are fantastic.

The tour was explained thoroughly in Japanese, and I had a great time.

After the tour experience, a young child was fussy on the bus, which was quite challenging. Then... I realized my wife's smartphone was missing.

I immediately contacted the tour company, and they responded kindly via email and phone. By the next morning, it was back in our hands.

I am filled with gratitude that the precious photos from the tour were returned to us. Thank you to all the staff who worked hard to help us.

ツアーは説明も日本語でしっかり説明してくださり、とても楽しかったです。

ツアー体験後、バスの中で幼少の子供がぐずり大変でした。
そして…慌てて対応してくれた、妻のスマホがないことがわかりました。

すぐにツアー会社さんに連絡をとりメール、電話連絡で丁寧に対応して頂き、翌日の午前中には手元に帰ってきました。

ツアー中の貴重な写真が戻ってきてくれたことに感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。
