On Friday night, I enjoyed the Hilton fireworks from the boat. The staff was friendly, but there was a slight feeling of being overwhelmed. I guess that's to be expected on a boat.

I think it's a good idea to bring warm clothing for winter in Hawaii, as it can get quite chilly. I did land on the sandbar, but it was too cold for snorkeling, so I waited inside the boat. A few participants seemed to enjoy snorkeling alongside the sea turtles, and I would like to try again in Hawaii during the summer.

The sandbar trip was so fun. My husband and I had a great time. The crew is friendly, knowledgeable and the boat is clean. The lunch was great and we overall had an amazing time. We were able to witness breaching, which we had only seen on TV, right in front of us multiple times! I think there must be some timing involved, but it felt like we were quite lucky on the day we participated. My 6-year-old was captivated by the whales they saw for the first time. We created wonderful memories in Hawaii.

I was looking forward to participating since they were confident about whale watching. They mentioned that if we didn't see any whales, we would receive a free pass for the next time. The explanations were easy to understand, and they said that humpback whales come up to breathe every 45 minutes. We saw over 30 whales swimming around, but they were hard to spot. Just when I was about to give up, suddenly they appeared! The first one was a baby, and the second was an adult whale, posing beautifully with Diamond Head in the background! It was an incredibly satisfying tour. It might be a good idea to have some motion sickness medication on hand.

Everything was set up perfectly, and it was wonderful to have everything, including Japanese names, clearly indicated. The fireworks festival on Friday was amazing, and I think it's better to get to the window side early. I felt that the best course was a great deal. It's a course I wouldn't want many people to know about. It might be better to double the price.

If we had knowledge of constellations, we might have understood better. However, I thought it was a valuable experience to be able to see Saturn and other planets through the telescope. Also, at the end, they gave us a photo as a gift.

Sadly due to traffic I missed the boat by a minute I had checked how long it would take to get there when planning my leave time and I was quoted 45 every time when I was staying only 25 miles away however traffic was crazy and it ended up being an hour and a half drive we pulled into parking at exactly 1745 and the boat was pulling out as I was running to it. Gave a rating of Good because the boat left exactly on time and if I had been on board that would have been great

The bus was supposed to arrive at 7:35, but it was about 10 minutes late. The Japanese people around me were quite anxious about the time. After confirming names, we received stickers to wear during the tour and set off. It took about 15 minutes to reach where the boat was docked. We boarded a large boat and waited for all the other tour participants to get on (we waited for about 30 minutes).

Both on the boat and in the bus, the air conditioning was extremely strong, making it quite cold, so I recommend bringing a jacket. It was warm when the sun was out, but since I tend to get cold easily, wearing Uniqlo's Ultra Light Down was just right for me. The boat was large, so I didn't feel much rocking.

There are bagels and drinks available for purchase on the boat, so you can have breakfast there, but it's more expensive compared to the ABC store (the drinks were about $4, if I remember correctly).

As for the whales, they surfaced a few times, but whether due to regulations or the size of the boat, we didn't get very close and mostly viewed them from a distance. During the ride, there were announcements in English (no Japanese) explaining about the marine life in Hawaii and the whales. Although we could only see the whales from afar, we were still able to enjoy the beautiful sea and Diamond Head, so I think it was a good value for the experience!

船が停泊しているあたりまでは、約15分。大きな船に乗船し、他のツアー参加者が全員乗船するまで待ちます。（30分間くらい待った。）

船の上もですが、バスの中もACが強烈に効いていて激さむなので、
上着を持っていくことをおすすめします。
陽が当たる時は暖かいですが、わたしは寒がりなので、
ユニクロのウルトラライトダウンを着ててちょうど良かったかも。
船が大きいので、わたしはあまり揺れも感じませんでした。

船の中にはベーグルやドリンクも売ってるので、船の中で朝食は取れますが、ABC storeに比べると割高です（ドリンクはたしか$4だった）

肝心のくじらはというと、何回か海上の表面に現れましたが、規程があるのか、船が大きいからか、あまり近くには寄らず、だいぶ遠目から眺める感じでした。
乗船中は英語（日本語なし）でハワイの海洋生物の保護、くじらのことなど、アナウンス形式で説明してくれます。くじらは遠目にしか見れませんが、それでも綺麗な海やダイアモンドヘッドが見られたので、コスパは良いほうなのではと思います！

My husband and I participated on New Year's Eve. I thought the course meal was too much, so we opted for the buffet and decided to eat a little bit of what we liked. The welcome drink, Mai Tai, was orange-based and very delicious. After taking sunset photos on the deck, it was time for dinner. The people at the tables were called in order to go get their food, so it didn't feel crowded. We had salad, and the main dishes were something like teriyaki chicken, coconut curry stew with white fish, and roast beef that was sliced right there. The roast beef had various seasonings to choose from, including soy sauce. It didn't feel extravagant, but we were very satisfied and full. There were also cakes and fruits. We had pre-ordered a bottle of red wine as an option, and it arrived right on time during the meal. After that, it was showtime. They probably had shows for about 30 people at a time, coming around one after another. The music was pleasant, and I think it was Polynesian dance? We enjoyed the Hawaiian vibe. 夫とふたりで大晦日に、参加しました。コース料理は多すぎると思ったので、ビュッフェにして、好きな物を少しずつ食べることにしました。ウエルカムドリンクのマイタイはオレンジベースですごく美味しかったです。夕焼けの写真をデッキで撮ったあとは、お食事タイム。順番に言われたテーブルの人が取りに行くので、混み合った感じはしませんでした。サラダと、メインはチキンの照り焼きっぽいのと、白身魚のココナツカレー煮、そしてその場で切り分けるローストビーフでした。ローストビーフは、味付けをいろいろ選べて、醤油もありました。豪勢な、という感じはしなかったけど私たちはお腹いっぱいになり大満足。ケーキやフルーツもありましたよ。私たちはオプションで事前に赤ワインを1本注文してあり、ちゃんと食事時に届きました。その後は、ショータイム。きっと30人ごとぐらいにショーをやって次々まわってくるのでしょう。
音楽も心地良く、ポリネシアンダンスというのかしら？ハワイ感を満喫。最後は、みんなで曲に合わせて踊り。ＹＭＣＡだったので、夫もノリノリで参加していました。また参加したいなあと思います。

Complete Pearl Harbor Tour with Lunch - Visit Main Exhibits, Memorials & Museums

On 11/09/2023 I went on this Pearl Harbor tour, and had a full day of education. This was my first time at Pearl Harbor, and I'm so glad I went with Polynesian Adventure Tours. They were on time for pick up, the bus was so comfortable, and the guide clearly enjoyed his job with how much information he shared on Hawaii.

When we arrived to Pearl Harbor we were given a map, that was so helpful! Each section of PH on the map was numbered, that kept me on track of the schedule of the day. Without this map I would have been so lost!

Each museum we were given plenty of time to read all the information, if you are a quick reader you may feel like it's too much time, but I felt like it was the perfect amount of time. My favorite was the submarine!!

Lunch was so yummy, and was a very generous proportion. Was served in the middle of tour which was perfect for giving me energy I needed for the rest of the day. Highly recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes, because there is a lot of walking throughout the day.

I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys a guided tour, and who isn't renting a car while on island.

Paradise Cove Luau on the Beach at Ko Olina Resort

Perfect in many ways, but not all.

For the most party, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Paradise Cove luau. The best part was the entertainment. We loved the expression of culture and the dancing performances. Our transportation from the hotel to the venue and back was smooth and executed like clockwork. The venue itself was wonderful tool. The beach and the sunset were important part of the whole experience. Our only disappointment was the food. It just wasn't the best. Serving 4 types of protein for dinner felt like trying to please everyone at the expense of quality. The steamed frozen vegetables were no good, neither was the plain white rice. The salad, which also had 3 different pastas (one better tasting would have been enough), was ok.
