Fortunately, I was able to encounter a whale. However, I had my video camera ready the whole time but couldn't capture any footage. It's difficult to film with a camera or video. On March 15th, 2024, I went to PCC and participated in the Gateway Buffet package. This experience included admission to the park, buffet, and show. Each village was unique, and educational. The canoe ride was my favorite part of the park, a must do!

The buffet dinner was INCREDIBLE, they had everything you could imagine. From salad, sides, pork, chicken, beef, seafood, and dessert. The presentation of the food, and dinning hall felt like something out of a movie! They really set the scene for local cuisine.

'HA: Breath of Life,' show was spectacular a must see! The dancers were truly amazing! I would definitely go see it again and again. Everything about PCC was so professional, engaging, fun, and educational. There is something for the whole family.

I would recommend PCC to anyone who enjoys learning about different cultures, and has a full day to spend away from Waikiki.

The evening started with a welcome Hawaiian dance, and the tables were decorated with rose flowers, setting the stage for a wonderful dinner to come. As we began, live piano music played swing jazz in the background. We had booked this dinner cruise to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. The ship's dedicated photographer created memorable photos for us, and before we left, we received them in an album. It was truly a memorable experience. The food was delicious, and we were able to enjoy a lovely time. Thank you very much.

I made a reservation for Friday to catch the fireworks launched from Waikiki Beach every Friday. The fireworks viewed from the cruise ship were amazing. The shows and singing on board were also fantastic.

However, with that many people, the restrooms felt insufficient. It seemed like there was always a line for the women's restroom...

I highly recommend making a reservation for Friday!!

I went without much expectation because I had read reviews saying they couldn't see anything, but I was able to see whales spouting and diving about 5 or 6 times! Their tails were huge, and it was truly moving! I tend to get motion sickness easily, but I didn't feel sick at all without taking any medication. However, since the wind can be strong, it's better to bring a jacket. Inside the boat, you go barefoot, and some people spill drinks due to the wind, so wearing something that can get wet is recommended! Also, the shuttle bus for pick-up only stops on the street and doesn't come to call you. Since there's no company name written on it, it doesn't stand out, and it might depend on the driver, but they don't call out names either, so I think it's best to check when a larger van stops. Additionally, those with a pick-up plan arrive in front of the boat 30 minutes early, so you might have some time to kill. (There's an ice cream shop nearby, so you can pass the time there!)

尾鰭だけですがとっても大きくて感動しました！
自分は乗り物酔いしやすいですが、酔い止めなしでも全く酔いませんでした。

船内は裸足ですし、風でドリンクをこぼしたりする方もいるので濡れてもいい格好がおすすめです！
あと、送迎のシャトルバスは通りに止まるだけで呼びにきてはくれません。
会社名が書いてあるわけでもないので目立ちませんし、ドライバーさんによるかもですが名前を呼ばれたりもしないので大きめのバンが止まったら確認しに行くのが良いと思います。

We participated as a family of four. The dinner is served buffet-style, allowing you to enjoy your meal while taking in the beautiful scenery. There are about ten different types of dishes, and some include coconut milk, so those who are not fond of it might have limited options. At the end of the tour, you can watch a show featuring hula dancing and other performances. The quality seems to vary, but it looked like the area next door (the more expensive course?) was really lively with a haka performance. To wrap things up, all the guests stood up and danced to the YMCA. My parents, who are approaching their sixties, were shy but had a great time dancing, which made for a wonderful memory (laughs).

There is a pickup service from the center of Waikiki, and it takes about 30 minutes to board. Many foreigners participated, and the explanations after departure were primarily in English, but it wasn't a problem at all. About 20 to 30 minutes after departure, we were able to see whales around the area with Diamond Head in front of us. They were small, but we could see them spouting water multiple times and jumping, making the time fly by.

Since it’s a large boat, I think you don’t have to worry too much about it rocking, but it was cold inside the boat, so I recommend bringing a jacket!

I read in reviews that there were hammocks on the boat where you could lie down, but we couldn't use them due to a lack of explanation. What a shame! On the day of the cruise, there was wind, and we moved without using the engine. Because of that, it was very quiet and nice. Just before getting off the boat, the crew mentioned to give tips, and everyone put them in a container. It might be worth trying at least once.

The upper deck was great for taking pictures. We started off with a charcuterie board that had tasty cheeses and fruit. The second course included lobster over a beet salad with a nice puree. My only reservation was the meat which was overcooked in my opinion, but to be fair, I'm sure many people prefer a medium-well filet. Taking pictures in between courses was a huge plus and didn't make us feel confined to the table. Overall, I would recommend this cruise to anyone looking for a good time.

I participated in a five-star dinner cruise this time. Perhaps because it was a weekday (excluding Friday), the exclusive fifth-floor area was quite empty, but the interior of the ship was very luxurious, and having fewer people allowed for a more relaxed experience. The weather was nice, and the views of Diamond Head and the sunset from the ship were beautiful. Fortunately, the crew spotted a whale, which became a wonderful memory. With the five-star experience, there is a private deck, so it might be great for those who want to take photos leisurely from the ship.

I felt that the number of courses was a bit on the lower side, but the portions were generous and the taste was delicious, so I was very satisfied. The cocktails I ordered were all tasty and visually appealing as well. The staff were friendly, making it a very memorable trip.

今回5スターでディナークルーズに参加させて頂きました。平日だった為か(金曜を除く)4Fの5スター専用フロアはかなり空いていましたが、船内はとても豪華な作りで人が少なかった分かなりゆったりと過ごすことが出来ました。天候もよく、船内から見るダイヤモンドヘッドやサンセットはとても綺麗でした。運よくクジラを船員さんが見つけてくれて見れたのもとても良い思い出となりました。5スターだと専用デッキがあるので、船上から写真をゆったり撮りたい方には良いかもしれません。

コース料理の品数は少なめに感じましたが、ボリュームがあって味も美味しかったのでとても満足できました。また注文したカクテルもどれも美味しく見た目も良かったです。
スタッフの方々も感じがよく、とても良い旅の思い出となりました。

This was my fifth sunset dinner cruise on the Star of Honolulu, and no matter how many times I go, I always want to take it when I visit Honolulu. This time, I went with my grandchild, who was visiting Hawaii for the first time.

We were picked up before the scheduled time, which allowed us to smoothly get to the port and board the ship early, so we were able to sit at a very nice window-side seat.

Onboard, we first enjoyed a buffet of fruits and cheese. After that, we savored the course lobster and beef steak while watching the show. In between, we went out on the deck to enjoy the sunset and the views of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach, taking plenty of photos.

The show continued right up until just before disembarking, and we had a wonderful time. The singer was very talented, and I was captivated by their performance.

It was the best experience. Thank you very much.

スターオブホノルル号でのサンセット・ディナークルーズは５回目となりますが何回乗船してもホノルルを訪れたら乗りたくなり今回はハワイ島初めての孫と乗船しました。
出発地には定刻前にお迎えが着てスムーズに港へ行き早く乗船出来たので
とても窓側の良い席に座ることが出来ました。
船内では最初に果物とチーズのブッフェコーナーで持って来て食しました。
そのあとはショーを見ながらコースのロブスターやビーフステーキを美味しく頂きました。
合間にはデッキに出てサンセットやダイヤモンドヘッド、ワイキキビーチ等の景色を堪能し写真も沢山撮りました。
下船前直前までショータイムは続きとても楽しい時間を過ごすことが出来ました。

It was no one’s fault that the day we went was windy and they had to turn the boat around after they said “this is where most whales hang around.” We got to see a blow hole and one fluke which was fun but it was at the very end of our trip so we didn’t get to stay and watch the group of whales any further. The captain did delay our return 15 minutes to see the whale that we did see which was very nice! Overall, it was no one’s fault that the weather wasn’t the best but to me it felt like a waste of my time and money and I was disappointed in the end

Check-in is easy to find next to the anchored Star Honolulu. A large ship welcomes you with the captain as you board. After boarding, everyone waits in seats on the first floor and listens to an explanation from a whale expert for about 15 minutes after departure. If you are seated before departure, you can purchase drinks, snacks, and bagels for a fee. There are important explanations about the size of the whales and how to identify their location by relating it to the positions of the clock hands. Once the explanation is finished, everyone moves to their preferred floor. Whales can be seen very well from any deck. I was able to see the whales' spouts and tails up close, and most importantly, the captain takes the time to show the whales to the children when they are spotted. Thanks to this, we were able to see the whales multiple times, and the kids were very satisfied. It became a wonderful memory.

It took a bit to get to the top of the building but it was worth it. We got there and they were very helpful. Greeted up with a lei and took us to our table. Gave us our drink order (non alcoholic) and took our picture. The line up of food was quite amazing! All kinds of food to please everyone's liking. They also had dessert. It rained pretty good so they were able to cover the side so we didn't get wet. After dessert we we inside to watch the Rock a hula. And it was awesome. This was a full day activity. We stared on the canoe amd ended the one end. Walked to each village. At each village they are very informative on their culture. They have activities you can participate in or just watch their 15-20 min skits. The journey movies was quite amazing but moves a lot, but worth it. The buffet was absolutely the best I've ever been to! So much food to choose from. Plus there was live entertainment. We also stayed for the breath of life show, which was spectacular. Goosebumps for sure.

The dance and singing were of high quality and enjoyable. You can also enjoy meals and entertainment before the show. The impersonators of Elvis and Michael were so dedicated to their roles that it didn't feel cheap at all. I recommend going at least once.

The food was just average. Since it's a buffet, you can eat as much as you want. Dining outdoors had its challenges due to the season and weather, and it was a bit cold. We got VIP seats for the show, but I think you can enjoy it from the regular seats as well. 再乗船のための券が、人数がかかれているものであり、二人別々に使うように一名ずつのチケットに分割することはできないと言われましたので、再利用はその旅行内にできるように、最終日に設定しない方がいいのかもしれません！

乗船した後すぐの船の上での説明は、当然ネイティブスピードの英語での注意事項説明などが、結構長くありまして、英語が堪能でないのでよくわかっておりませんでしたので、安全上ちょっと怪しげだったので気をつけました。

船上の動き方としては、屋根がない前と後ろのスペースと、船内に座れるところ、一部テーブルがあり、船内右舷地下にトイレがあります。船内にバーカウンターもあります。船内のテーブルには無料のチップスなどが置いてあります。外に座っていると、係の方がドリンクのオーダーを取りに来てくれます。無料のソフトドリンクは、パイナップル、グアバ、スプライト、コカコーラ、水などがあります。何杯でも無料ですがチップをちょうだいね。のシステムのようでした。

結果、鯨はみられませんでしたが、みられないとまた船に乗れるので、時間がある方にとっては、何度もクルージングできていいかもしれません。ちなみに昨日は鯨はいたか？と聞いてみたら、いたよー。ということでした。個人的には他のツアーと違っての午後出発なので、時間帯的にみられる可能性が高い低いあるかもなと思ったりしています。

船、結構揺れました。動いている途中の移動は危険なので手すり捕まってゆっくりがよさそうです。弱い人は酔うかもです。日光さんさんとしていて、日焼け危険です。揺れが大きくて移動しなかったので、船の写真はあまりとれませんでした。

On the day we arrived in Hawaii, we checked into the hotel at 3 PM and had a tour pickup at 4:30 PM. We were able to enjoy ourselves without getting too tired, had meals, and watched a show.
