I previously participated in a luau at Hilton on the Big Island, but this was my first time on Oahu. It was a luau on a rooftop surrounded by hotels, and the show was wonderful. If I understood a bit more English, I might have grasped the explanations better, but I still enjoyed the stage performance. After the show, the dancers were also happy to take photos, and it seemed like the kids had a great time. Above all, it really felt like I was in Hawaii.

以前はハワイ島でヒルトンのルアウに参加しましたが、今回はオアフでの初参加でした。
ホテルに囲まれた屋上でのルアウでしたが、ショーは素敵なものでした。
もう少し英語が分かれば、説明している内容も分かったのでしょうけど、それでもステージは楽しめました。
ショーが終われば、ダンサー達も気軽に写真にも応じてもらえますし、子供も楽しめていたようでした。何より、ハワイに来たな〜と感じられます。

I wasn't expecting much from the food or the show, but it turned out to be quite enjoyable and delicious! When Michael came out, it was the best! I didn't know they had shows like this in Hawaii. The hula dancing was also wonderful. It's definitely worth experiencing at least once!

The weather was great, and we were able to see a very beautiful sandbar! The snorkeling spot had strong winds and the water was a bit murky, but we were able to see some fish. The sandbar was deeper than I expected, about knee-deep. I checked a site that predicts the tides to decide when to go, but there were days that seemed deeper, so I think it would be good to confirm and choose a day within the possible range.

I saw in the reviews that there were few Japanese people, but coincidentally, the crew on our cruise included second-generation Japanese, so they felt very Japanese! The other two crew members were also friendly towards the Japanese guests, and we had a fantastic time! There were about ten Japanese participants as well! The scenery was amazing!

Among the various OP tours I participated in, I felt the most anxious at the meeting point. This was because there were two large buses lined up, and a huge crowd was waiting, with Japanese people clearly being the only ones there. The departure time was approaching, and I wondered, where is the pick-up? I thought it was unlikely, but when I went to the front of the first bus, it turned out that these two buses were indeed heading to Paradise Cove. After presenting my voucher and confirming my name, I took a seat in an empty spot, but unlike everyone else who was excitedly chatting with the guide's fun explanations, I felt out of place. Still, the guide, who distributed cards usable within the facility, tried to explain using the translation function on their smartphone screen. After passing Waikele and entering the Ko Olina Resort area, we reached a famous spot for wedding photos! We crossed the tracks of the tourist train, and soon arrived. Participants lined up to receive welcome drinks and had their photos taken one group at a time (you'll get them back on the return bus!). Until the show started, we could enjoy ourselves freely. You can experience various events with the card you received, such as making flower leis and bracelets, riding canoes, getting designs painted on your arms like tattoos, and participating in paid photo shoots. You can also shop for souvenirs, tropical drinks, and shaved ice. As it got darker, the excitement grew, and while taking photos here and there, it seemed the whole roasted pig was ready too. After climbing the palm trees and participating in the fishing net pulling event, the buffet was not luxurious but had a menu that was easy for us to eat, including white rice, and we were sufficiently full. The traditional luau, which I was looking forward to the most, featured various dances one after another, with scenes for audience participation. Although I couldn't understand the host's talk at all, the other guests were having a great time. Not only Hawaiian dances but also, probably? Polynesian dances were showcased, and the climax of the fire dance at night was impressive and moving, even from the side seats. On the return bus heading to Waikiki, we soaked in the afterglow and felt satisfied while looking at the downtown scenery. Captain Bob’s Trip was awesome!! Top notch! It started with a beautiful catamaran ride and really fun energetic exciting crew! These people made you feel very safe and welcome and ensured everyone was having an exceptional time!
The sand bar and volleyball were breathtakingly beautiful and so much fun! Whether you are a professional volleyball player or a 5 year old, it all seemed to work out just as it should and everyone had an amazing time!
The BBQ was delicious, drinks, bar, everything was perfect! Grilling off the side of a catamaran on a sandbar in Oahu! What more could you ask for!
Seeing the turtles was amazing and the snorkeling was fantastic as well! Plenty of really nice equipment, instruction, safety always a priority with this crew! I would recommend this excursion and experience 100%! Also- a nice tour bus picks you up at your hotel or close to it if you need a ride! Fantastic transportation. Very well run and organized! We met some really nice people on the excursion and the crew was the best! Enjoy!

The wind was strong, so the boat swayed more than I expected, and it felt like I was on a roller coaster! The scenery was also very beautiful, and it was a valuable experience. It was the best sailing experience, enjoying a Mai Tai in hand! Shortly after departure, we were able to see turtles swimming.

This time, I participated with my mother, but it seems like it would be perfectly fine to join alone as well. There were just under 40 people on board, with only two other groups of Japanese participants. Most of the attendees were not Japanese, which added to the overseas atmosphere and made it even more enjoyable. It's completely fine if you don't understand English. Before boarding, we took a group photo, which can be purchased for $20 after disembarking for those who wish to.

You do get quite wet when boarding and disembarking. Those at the front of the boat (the side where you get on and off) got splashed directly by the waves and were pretty soaked. The sun was strong on the boat, but once we set sail, the wind felt really nice. As long as you apply sunscreen properly, sunburn shouldn't be an issue.

The boat does sway quite a bit during the trip, so if you're prone to seasickness, it's definitely a good idea to take some motion sickness medication to ensure you can enjoy the experience. A few people were struggling with seasickness.

It was so much fun and felt great, so I would like to participate in the sunset sailing next time.

今回は母と2人で参加しましたが、1人でも問題なく参加できそうです。
乗船人数は40人弱で他の日本人参加者は2組。日本人じゃない方がほとんどなのも、海外に来ている雰囲気をより味わえて楽しいです。英語はわからなくても全く問題ないです。乗船前にグループごとに記念撮影をし、希望者は下船後に20ドルで購入できます。
船に乗り降りする時に結構濡れます。また船の前方(乗り降りする側)にいた人達は波が直接かかるのでかなり濡れていました。船上は日差しが強いですが、出航してしまえば風がとても気持ち良かったです。日焼け止めをしっかり塗っておけば日焼けも問題なかったです。
船は途中結構揺れるので、船酔いが気になる方は酔い止め薬を飲んでおいた方が確実に楽しめます。何人か船酔いに苦しんでました。
とても楽しくて気持ち良かったので、今度はサンセットセーリングにも参加したいと思います。

The tour was conducted with two boats, one of which gathered Japanese participants and provided guidance in Japanese. The guide was a Japanese person who was always smiling and very attentive.

When we arrived at the sandbar, we spotted two sea turtles, and several more came by afterward.

Next, we moved to the snorkeling point, where we were able to see about five sea turtles from the boat.

The snorkeling point didn't have strong waves, so if you can swim reasonably well, I recommend trying it without a life jacket!

The deeper areas had more fish and were beautiful! Additionally, I was able to find a sea turtle resting in the coral, and I managed to take an amazing photo! I had to dive about 4 meters, which was quite challenging, but it became my best memory in Hawaii.

I want to go again!

2隻の船でツアーを行い、1隻に日本人を集めて日本語でガイドを行ってくれました。
ガイドをしてくれたのは日本人の方で終始笑顔で丁寧な対応をしてくれました。

サンドバーに着いた時にもウミガメが目視で2匹確認できて、その後もサンドバーに何匹か来ていました。

その後はシュノーケリングポイントに移動するのですが、船から5匹くらいのウミガメを見つけられました。

シュノーケリングポイントは波もそこまで強くないので、泳ぎがある程度できる人はライフジャケット無しでチャレンジしてみてください！

深いところの方が魚も多くて綺麗でした！
また、サンゴの隙間で休んでいるウミガメを見つけられて最高の一枚を撮ることができました！
4mくらい潜らなければならなかったので、結構大変でしたがハワイで1番の思い出になりました。

また行きたいです！

Oahu to Big Island - Helicopter Tour & Volcano Sightseeing Adventure with Lunch

We had a fabulous day on this tour. You do need staying power as it starts early and ends late but it is worth it. The bus tour of the Volcano Park was interesting but it was the helicopter ride that made the day. The professionalism of the company chartered for our ride was outstanding and our pilot had everyone feeling safe, secure and excited for the whole flight. Flying over the volcanos was amazing, even without any red lava on our day.
The one thing that was missing from the day was a little bit of time to explore Hilo itself - it looked so interesting and non touristy that we would have loved half an hour there.
This is not a cheap day, but certainly a once in a
lifetime experience we won’t ever forget and worth every cent.

The weather was great, and the strong wind created the perfect conditions. However, the meeting point was very hard to find, and we wandered around the Sheraton multiple times. Among the participants, we were the only Japanese. The waves were high, and the strong wind splashed water on us, which felt refreshing. It was nice to see the backside of Diamond Head and to spot sea turtles.

天気も良く、風も強く最高のコンディションでした。ただ、集合場所が非常に分かりにくく、何回もシェラトンの周りをウロウロ。参加した人の中に日本人は私たちだけでした。波も高く、風も強く水しぶきがかかり、気持ち良かったです。ダイヤモンドヘッドの裏側が見られ、ウミガメも見られて、良かったです。

I boarded the Mai Tai Catamaran with my wife, eldest daughter, and grandchild (2.5 years old). During the approximately one and a half hour cruise, everyone was thrilled with the wonderful scenery, the crew's entertaining talks, and the many splashes of waves. Next time, I hope to enjoy it with the whole family.

Also, the meeting point (registration) can be hard to find, so I recommend checking it in advance.

私、妻、長女、孫（2.5才）を連れてマイタイ・カタマラン号に搭乗しました。

The best Finale' to our vacation

We couldn't ask for a better way to spend our last day in Oahu.
This tour was so relaxing and fun. Everyone was so friendly including staff and other participants.
The Sand bar was so exciting, and the turtles were cute. and snorkelling amazing.
Everything is well organised.


One advice to people who go on this tour -
Go to the bathroom before boarding the ship,
since the bathrooms are not that convenient.
but they are there if you need them :-)

It was amazing.
It was my first experience, and I was continuously moved.
The beautiful sea, the cute sea turtles, and the fun staff.
The snorkeling had clear explanations and safety considerations, which made me feel very secure.
I don't get to go to Hawaii often, but this is one activity I want to experience again next time.

Everything went smoothly from the pickup time to arrival. Renting a bicycle for $10 was a great decision. We quickly got takeout from Kimo's Pancakes. We shared it and ended up very full. The staff were kind, and we had a wonderful time at Kailua Beach. For lunch, we had plates at the hotel.

I participated in the Dolphin Encounter where you can swim with dolphins. The explanation was in English only, but they spoke slowly with gestures, making it easy to understand. Above all, the dolphins were adorable, and it was a lot of fun. I now have another wonderful memory from Hawaii.

I was hoping to see whales jumping, but I only caught a glimpse of a tail, which was a bit disappointing. The staff were very kind, and the view from the deck was beautiful, making it a lovely cruise. The guidance was mainly in English, but there were staff members who spoke Japanese at key points, which made it easy to understand. The deck was quite windy, so it's a good idea to have something to wear. While searching for whales, the waves were high, and I took motion sickness medication, but I ended up feeling nauseous in the second half. The staff applied menthol oil, which is effective for seasickness. On the way back, I was told that I could walk to Iolani Palace, so after disembarking, I separated from the group and visited Iolani Palace and other places before taking the bus back.

スタッフの方々はとても親切で、甲板からの景色もよく素敵なｸﾙｰｽﾞでした。
基本英語での案内ですが、要所は日本語のできるスタッフの方が教えてくれわかりやすかったです。
甲板は風が強く羽織ものはあったほうがいいです。
クジラを探しながらのｸﾙｰｽﾞで波も高かったためか酔い止めを飲んでいましたが後半は酔ってしまいました。スタッフの方が船酔いに効くとメンソールオイルを塗ってくれました。
帰りには歩いてイオラニ宮殿に行けるとのことで、船を降りてから離団しイオラニ宮殿等に行きバスで帰りました。

It was like heaven for my 5-year-old son. Having transportation for pick-up and drop-off makes it easier for parents. Driving after swimming is tiring... Although the plan didn't include meals, it's not a problem since you can buy food inside the park!

5歳の息子にとっては天国のような場所でした。行き帰りの送迎はあった方が親は楽ですね。泳いだ後の運転は疲れます、、、。特にご飯は付いていないプランでしたが、園内で買えるので問題ないです！

Although the visibility of the sea wasn't great due to the rain the day before, the emerald green and cobalt blue waters sparkling in the sunlight were truly beautiful. We encountered many sea turtles, and my husband even had moments where he swam close enough to them while being careful not to touch! Our guide, Yukiko, was also impressive just to watch, and she is a big reason why I want to join this tour again and meet her!

前日雨だったため海の透明度はいまいちとのことでしたが、きらきら太陽の光が輝くエメラルドグリーン、コバルトブルーの海は本当にきれいでした♡
ウミガメにもたくさん会え、主人はシュノーケリングスポットで触れちゃわないように気をつけるくらい近くで一緒に泳げる瞬間も！

The day of participation was unfortunately marked by cloudy skies and intermittent rain, but when the sun peeked through for a moment, it was absolutely beautiful! We played beach volleyball, and even though we couldn't communicate with people from other countries, it felt like we connected through sports, making it a really enjoyable time! The hamburger we had for lunch was also incredibly delicious! We were able to see a lot of fish while snorkeling! I think it would be stunning on a sunny day, so I would love to participate again!

The approximately 20-minute flight time indicates the estimated duration from the departure of Washin Air's hangar to the return. There will be no shortening of flight time due to our circumstances. Additionally, both the sunset tour and the night tour involve a route that circles Diamond Head, and a flight time of just over 10 minutes is not feasible.
