My my what can I say about Captain Bobs?! I have now gone on Captain Bobs Adventure 3 times now!! Everytime I have visited Hawaii, I have taken new friends and family to experience this amazing tour that is fun filled for all ages. The crew is exceptionally welcoming and entertaining and it is just one of the best experiences I've had in Hawaii.

You can either get picked up by their shuttle or drive yourself to the pickup spot and your day goes from about 10:30-3:00pm give or take. They continue the tour rain or shine so if the weather seems kind of gloomy, be sure to take a light rain coat! The first two times I went the weather was nice and sunny, however the last time I went there were scattered showers that were on and off throughout the whole tour. It did get a little chilly but once you're swimming in the water it's not so bad.

My favorite part of Captain Bobs is the Sandbar part where you get to play volleyball, stand in the middle of the ocean, and eat some delicious burgers, beans, and nachos after! You get to see a bunch of sea turtles swimming while on the way to the Snorkeling area and then you get to snorkel among the reef, Since it got kind of chilly after they even gave us hot chocolate/tea!

My recommendations are: bring sunglasses, towel, light rain jacket, water shoes, underwater phone case to take photos, snacks, and most of all, bring your A game to play volleyball!

I made a great decision by booking on Friday night. The fireworks were visible at night, and the view from the boat was amazing. I also splurged on the food and it was a good idea to order a bottle of sparkling wine in advance. Drinks take a little time to arrive after ordering. There’s also a buffet with cheese and fruits, so it's first come, first served. They even take commemorative photos for you as a service, and you get to keep the photo as a souvenir at the end. The food is delicious as well. You can enjoy singing and dancing performances while leisurely dining. If you're going to Hawaii, this is definitely one of the tours you should experience.

金曜日の夜に申込み、大正解でした。
夜は花火が見れ、船からの眺めは最高です。
料理も奮発し、スパークリングワインのボトルも事前に頼んで正解でした。
飲み物はオーダーしてから時間を少し要します。またチーズやフルーツなどビュッフェがあるので、早者勝ちです。サービスで記念撮影もしてくれ最後に写真を記念品としていただけます。
料理も美味しいです。食事中も歌やダンスなど余興を楽しみながら、ゆっくりと過ごせます。

Everything was great. Tour guides were so cute and had so much knowledge. Each island was very entertaining. Even though it rained heavily most of the day it didn't dampen the experience. The ending pageant was fabulous. We were a little disappointed in the luau but still very entertaining. Definitely something we would do again. Waited 45 married years to get to Hawaii and see this event.

My first whale watching experience was wonderful as I got to see a mother and calf whale. I thought we might be able to see them a bit closer, but I understand that it’s a matter of the whales' safety. The boat was large. Since it was a plan without meals, those who had breakfast included were enjoying a buffet before departure. It would be better for those without meals to eat beforehand. I didn't expect to see whales so close to Honolulu; the view of Honolulu from the sea was also very beautiful. Not only the whales, but I could also see Diamond Head beautifully from the ocean. It was a very elegant cruise.

It was my travel companion's husband's long-awaited whale watching experience, and we participated with a light-hearted attitude, thinking it would be lucky if we got to see any whales.

Although it was a large boat and we couldn't get too close, we were able to see whales jumping about three times at a distance that was clear enough to observe with the naked eye. I thought it would have been nice to have binoculars.

同行者の夫念願のホェールウォッチングでしたが、見ることが出来たらラッキーだね。くらいの軽い気持ちでの参加でしたが、

大型船なのですぐ近くとは行きませんが充分肉眼で確認できるほどの距離でのジャンプを3度ほど見ることが出来ました。

I saw whales in the distance about three times. I was a bit disappointed that I didn't see them as much as I had hoped, but on the way back, a large group of dolphins came close to us. They jumped a lot, and just the dolphins alone were very enjoyable to watch! It was a great deal that one child was free with the campaign.

From the moment you board, the Hawaiian dance welcome elevates your spirits.

The sea was relatively calm, but it still swayed enough that I think it's wise to take motion sickness medication.

Since it was a Friday night tour, we were able to see fireworks. There are chairs on the deck, so I recommend going out on the deck before getting close to the fireworks viewing point.

The final enjoyment before disembarking is the best.

乗船前からハワイアンダンスのお迎えで気持ちが高まります。

海は比較的穏やかでしたが、それなりに揺れるため酔止め薬を飲んでおいたほうが無難だと思います。

金曜日の夜のツアーでしたので、花火を見ることができました。

It seemed like there were few staff members, and they were operating the slides at intervals. If you miss the timing, you can't slide. But a pool without crowds is incredibly enjoyable! Even if you get a little hurt, there was a staff member in the first aid room who applied medicine for me. It's reassuring for families with children, and of course, there was no charge for it.

色々なスライダーがあって楽しかったです。スライダーの為に、坂道をたくさん上らないといけないのが、結構大変でした！ｗ　平日だったので混雑は無かったけど。スタッフも少ないようで、スライダーの運行を時間おきに対応していました。タイミングを逃すと、滑れないスライダーが。でも混雑してないプールって最高に楽しいです♬　　ちょいと怪我をしても、救護室に先生もいて薬塗ってくれました。お子様連れも安心かと。もちろん費用はとられません。

When a whale is spotted, they announce it and let you know where it is, so if you keep an eye out, you might see a mother and her calf quite close by. It was quite moving. It felt like time stood still, and it was very healing. I want to participate again, but my husband seemed to struggle with seasickness, so for those worried about seasickness, it's better to take medication in advance to enjoy it more. Definitely give it a try!

余り期待はしてなかったのですが、とても気持ちが良く、景色も良かったです。

I attended the show on March 19. My stay lasted 20 minutes. It was not held on the rooftop of the Hilton, but in a large hall inside the hotel. Given the impact of COVID-19, the governor of Hawaii has announced that gatherings should not be crowded, so I was shocked to see around 150 to 200 people packed together. I don't know if it was the organizer's decision or the hotel's, but I think it was a wrong judgment. Honestly, since it wasn't on the rooftop, I would like a refund, but I have given up on that possibility.

3／19日のショーにいかしてもらいました。
滞在時間は20分でした。
場所がヒルトンの屋上では無く。ホテル内の大きなホールでしました。
コロナの影響で密集したらダメとハワイの州知事も発表してるのにまさか150人〜200人ぐらいが密集してるのを見てゾッとしました。
主催側の判断なのかホテル側の判断かわかりませんが、間違った判断をしたなと思いました。
正直屋上じゃなかったのでお金を返してほしいですが、無理だろうなとあきらめています。

It took about 20 minutes by taxi from Hokulani Waikiki to get there, costing $35 with HANA Taxi. On the way back, it was also $35 to Ala Moana Shopping Center. We flew with JAL this time, so the Rainbow Trolley didn't stop at the Bishop Museum, and I reserved a taxi for the return trip, but it would have been better not to. The quality of the show was incredible. I thought it would mainly feature hula dancing, but there were also opera-like performances and fire dances, all of which exceeded my expectations and were so much fun that I felt emotional and almost cried at the end.

The hula dance depicted the evolution from the 1940s to modern hula, which was great. I saw a fire dance live for the first time, and it was amazing; I definitely want everyone to see it live.

There were also many beautiful men and women, and the women, in particular, were sexy and their dancing was sharp, which kept my eyes glued to the stage. The food was delicious as well. This is definitely one of the places I want to visit again the next time I go to Hawaii. Lastly, you can also take photos and get autographs.

ショーのクオリティーが物凄く、フラダンスがメインなのかと思っていたのですが、歌劇のようなショーや、ファイヤーダンスなど、どれも創造以上に最高で楽しく、終わった時は感動して涙が出そうでした。
フラダンスは1940年代くらいから現代のフラダンスまでの過程をショーで描いていたのでよかったです。
ファイヤーダンスは初めて生で見ましたが、凄い、是非生で見てもらいたい。
また美男美女が多く、特に女性はセクシーでダンスもキレキレなので目が釘付けになってしまいました。
料理も美味しかったです。次もハワイに行ったときは必ず行きたい場所の一つです。最後に写真撮影やサインももらえます。

It was great to see the fireworks right in front of me. It was a shame that the sunset was hidden by clouds, so I couldn't see the moment it sank beautifully. The food was delicious, but I couldn't eat slowly because of the fireworks. The fireworks were beautifully visible.

I wanted to show my daughter whales up close, so I signed up for a tour. On the day of the tour, there was rain and wind, and the sea was rough. It was a relatively large boat, but it was very rocky, and I got seasick. My daughter was so sick that she couldn't leave the restroom, so we didn't get to see any whales. I also got seasick, but I managed to see some whales, although I only caught a glimpse of their tails a few times. Depending on the season and weather, I wouldn't recommend this for people who are not good on boats.

I had some expectations because of the good reviews, but the food was not delicious. I could sense the effort to entertain us during the live show, but the loud screams were ringing in my ears and it was too noisy. Honestly, I don't think I can recommend this to others.

This well-run tour took us to a place known as Turtle Canyon a few hundred meters off of Waikiki where sea turtles come to get cleaned by algae eating fish.
There were a couple of dozen of varying ages (judging by their sizes) and though touching is prohibited, it was easy to get close enough that you could have.
Sharp, amusing crew, well maintained and clean masks, snorkels, and fins provided, and cold local beer.

Since time is more limited than expected, I recommend checking the brochure in advance to understand the movement routes (starting point) and prioritize attractions to enjoy as many as possible. Google Maps and Street View can also be helpful.

For those visiting for the first time, I’ve listed some things I thought would be helpful based on my own first visit, so please feel free to use them as a reference.

絶叫系のほとんどのアトラクションはゴールに置いてあるゴムボートを自分で持ってスタート地点まで登ります。知らないで登ると1往復ロスします。

オハナ・ハイウェイは、順番待ちの進みがとても遅いので、早い時間やお昼時など空いているタイミングを狙ったほうが良いです。ただ、パーク内で一番高いスタート地点まで登らないと込み具合が分かりません^^;

ウェーブ・プールは20～30分間隔で波が有る時間と無い時間が繰り返されます。「これほど大きな波が人工的に作れるのか？」というくらい迫力があります。

カバナレンタルしましたが、これはよく検討したほうが良いです。付き添いや留守番など常に誰か残るなら絶対にお勧めです。カバナへの通路は行き止まりの構造なので、目の前の人通りはほぼ無くとても落ち着きます。一方、休憩する時間がもったいないので、結局タオル置き場になったのは我が家です。カバナでなくても日陰は探せばあります。

BBQが思った以上に美味しくて、意外な場面で満足しました。

Since this was my first trip to Hawaii, I made a reservation for a tour that I thought would be enjoyable. The bus picked me up and dropped me off at the hotel, which was very helpful. The itinerary included a lot of activities like turtle watching, Angel's Sea, and snorkeling, which was great. I was worried about snorkeling since I'm not very fluent in English, but they provided a full set of equipment for us, and being with many other Japanese people made me feel safe and allowed me to enjoy it. At Angel's Sea, the tour guide took a lot of photos and was a wonderful person with a great sense of service, which made me very satisfied! Also, they grilled hamburgers for lunch on the boat, and it was very delicious. I made a reservation for 1:00 PM on the day of my arrival in Hawaii. I wanted my family, who are visiting Hawaii for the first time, to get a concrete image of the scale of Waikiki, the location of our hotel, and Diamond Head, so this was a perfect choice to grasp the overall view from the ocean.

Before participating, I read reviews and thought it would be a participatory event with a rap-style BGM playing throughout, which might explain the low number of Japanese participants. However, it was completely different. You can enjoy it at your own pace, so there's no need to worry. The captain did tell jokes in English to the participants at the beginning, but that was just at the start. During the trip, he was very friendly, handling the sales and drinks, and occasionally pointing out, "You can see a turtle over there." I can't even remember if there was any BGM.

アルコールのほかソフトドリンク（缶ジュース）も1缶$3で5種類くらいありました。最初に聞き取れたパイナップルジュースを購入しましたが、これがまた美味かった。
沖に向かっていくときは波に逆らって進むので上下に揺れ、テンションが上がります。ダイヤモンドヘッド灯台が良く見える位置まで向かったので割と移動距離も長めです。岸に戻る時は、一転ほとんど揺れないので、落ち着いて景色を堪能できます。
下船時に「良かったらそこの入れ物にチップをよろしく」的な話があります。

なお、乗る前に参加グループごとに船とダイヤモンドヘッドをバックに写真を撮ってくれます。下船時に2Lサイズの写真を見開きの簡易アルバムとして$20で購入を勧めてきます。購入は任意ですが、購入を考える方は荷物や履物は写らない場所に置いた方がいいと思います。私どもは購入したのですが、全員サンダルを手に持ってバンザイしているので笑えます。
それから船は乗る時のハシゴがある方が前です。水しぶきを多めに浴びたい方は前がお勧めです。
オアフ島でのオプショナルツアーは、必ずと言っていいほど、どこかしらから日本語が聞こえてきますが、こちらのツアーは良い意味で日本語と離れることができ海外に来たことを実感できます。
