I fulfilled my dream of gripping the control stick and flying in the sky someday. I flew over Oahu, Hawaii for an hour, looking down at Waikiki and Diamond Head while seeing the incredibly blue ocean, feeling a bit nervous while piloting, and finally descending from Pearl Harbor for a tense landing! It truly became a wonderful memory.

The refreshing feeling of taking off into the sky while watching passenger planes from Daniel K. Inouye International Airport is something you should experience at least once. You get to enjoy an aerial tour guided over key spots on Oahu, including Waikiki, Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay, Kualoa Ranch, and the Dole Plantation. Along the way, I had the rare opportunity to pilot the plane myself. The beauty of the ocean and the close-up view of the mountains at Kualoa Ranch are truly unique to flying in a Cessna. The staff were Japanese, which made me feel at ease during the transportation as well. I'm really glad I had this experience.

You can experience piloting a Cessna aircraft with hotel pick-up included. The price is likely reasonable, and I think the cost performance is very good. The office is located on the front side of the hangar, and it was a very clean place that felt like a lobby. I was particularly surprised by the cleanliness of the restroom; it was very well maintained. Most of the pilots seem to be local staff, but all the transportation and assistance were provided by Japanese individuals or those who are extremely proficient in Japanese.

The flight was amazing! They provided transportation to the hotel in Waikiki, and the office inside the airport was a lovely place, with very kind staff.

We were excited to board the four-seater Cessna! With a double pilot setup, the takeoff and landing were handled by a real pilot. Once we were up and settled, we switched controls, and it felt really good!

Even just sitting in the back and looking at the beautiful scenery was more than enough. We got to see Lanikai Beach, the angelic sea, the North Shore, Diamond Head, Coco Head, and Pearl Harbor—all in one hour.

I think it’s better to take the Cessna than to arrange sightseeing all over the place!

I took advantage of the opportunity to experience flying a Cessna. The president, who is from Kansai, personally provided transportation and gave a fun and simple explanation of the controls in the car. Upon arriving at the airport, we received a detailed briefing on safety precautions. An English-speaking pilot was assisted by a Japanese staff member for interpretation during the explanation. I had booked the flight experience for the last day of my trip, and I was worried it might be canceled due to bad weather in the morning. However, they were able to reschedule for other participants and adjust the flight course and schedule, allowing me to enjoy the Cessna flight experience.

The owner and staff are Japanese, so I could communicate freely, which eased my concerns. Since the Cessna can accommodate two additional passengers besides the pilot and the person flying, I was able to bring my child along. Sharing the experience made it much more enjoyable than if we had each flown solo. I highly recommend joining even if you’re not flying.

At first, we took off from the same runway as commercial planes, which was impressive to see up close. During takeoff, they guided me with instructions like, "Slowly push the throttle all the way in" and "Shall we gently pull the control stick?" Landing was understandably more challenging, so I left that to the pilot, but it was thrilling to watch the speed adjustments and flap timing. After landing, they even let us taxi on the runway, which was a fun experience. At the end, they asked, "Shall we experience a little G-force?" and took us through a banked turn, which was exciting.

Thank you, pilot Yuzuki. This was the most memorable experience of my trip, and I am grateful for it.

操縦体験は旅行最終日に申込みをしており朝からの悪天候の為、中止かもと思っていましたが他の方の別日へのリスケやフライトコース・スケジュールの調整なども行って頂きセスナ操縦体験をさせて頂くことが出来ました。
オーナーを初めスタッフは日本の方なので何でも話が出来て不安もありませんでした。
セスナにはパイロット・操縦体験者以外に2人同乗が出来る為子供と一緒に乗せて頂きそれぞれ一人で操縦体験をするより話題も共有出来るので何倍も楽しむことが出来ました。是非操縦体験される以外でも同乗されることをお勧めしたいですね。

初めは旅客機と同じ滑走路から飛び立つので間近で見れる旅客機も圧巻でした。離陸から「スロットルをゆっくり一番奥まで押して下さい」「ゆっくり操縦桿を引きましょうか」など体験させてくれたりしました。着陸は流石に難易度が高いためパイロットにお任せなのですがスピード調整やフラップ出しのタイミングなど横で見てても感動でした。着陸した際には「タキシングしてみます？」と滑走路をヨロヨロ走らせてくれたりも体験させてくれました。最後には「ちょっとGを味わってみましょうか？」などバンクしてターンをしてくれたりして楽しませてくれました。
パイロットのゆずきさんありがとうございました。

今回の旅行で一番の思い出に残った体験が出来て感謝です。

My husband was allowed to pilot from takeoff until he switched places with the pilot during landing, and he held the controls for quite a long time. The piloting instructions were in English, but even for my husband, who struggles with English, there were no issues at all. The pilot pointed out all the highlights of Oahu, making it easy for me to film.

Before the flight, I was asked if I had concerns about motion sickness, and I felt a bit anxious, but I was so focused on not missing any sights and on recording the video that I didn't have time to feel motion sickness. The kind and gentle owner couple came to pick us up at the hotel for the shuttle service. While hearing local stories about Hawaii, we arrived from our hotel in Waikiki in just 30 minutes.

We were welcomed by a wonderful lounge and staff. The restroom was the cleanest I encountered during this trip (laughs).

The captain came to greet us in advance and explained the planned flight route. And finally, it was time to board!

The cabin was smaller and more cramped than I expected, but it was exciting. Daniel K. Inouye Airport was extremely busy, so we had to wait a bit until we reached the runway. During that time, we could enjoy watching planes and helicopters taking off right next to us.

ですが、慣れてくると景色の素晴らしさに感動します。
ワイキキビーチ　→　ダイヤモンドヘッド　→ ココヘッド　→ カナオヘサンドビーチ　→　ノースショア　→ パールハーバーと一気に観光できます。

操縦した彼女も喜んでくれました！
貴重な体験をありがとうございました。
また、オーナーご夫婦、スタッフの皆様も素晴らしい方々で思い出に残る体験をお手伝い頂きました。

This was my first time in Hawaii for my honeymoon, and I took my first Cessna flight. I wanted to experience flying, but for now, I just wanted to enjoy the views from the sky and take photos, so I opted for a sightseeing flight. Since my English isn't that great, I felt reassured that the reservation was made by a Japanese person, and the person who picked us up was also Japanese, which put me at ease. The pre-boarding lecture was conducted by a Japanese person as well.

The pilot was from Hawaii, but there wasn't much talking during the flight, so it wasn't a problem. Once we boarded the Cessna, we had quite a long wait on the runway. This seems to depend on timing. The views after taking off were amazing! Seeing Diamond Head come into view was truly moving! There were occasional bumps, but I didn't get motion sickness.

We circled around the right half of Oahu, and it ended in no time. I was quite happy with the afternoon tea that followed. The shop had a lot of hospitality! I plan to use their services again when I want to fly in a Cessna in Hawaii.

セスナに乗り込んでから滑走路での待機がかなり長かったです。このへんはタイミングによりそう。
いざ飛び立ってからの景色は素晴らしいものでした！最初の方に見えてくるダイヤモンドヘッドはやはり感動でした！
たまに揺れたりしますが酔ったりはしなかったです。
オアフ島を右半分一周してあっという間に終わり。
終わってからのアフタヌーンティー的なやつが結構嬉しかったです。
とてもホスピタリティあふれるショップさんでした！
またハワイでセスナ乗りたいときはお世話になるつもりです。

The weather was bad (it was very windy), so we couldn't experience takeoff and landing, but we were able to pilot the aircraft in stable areas, which was very good. I think it's best to book for takeoff and landing when the weather is nice. The pilots respond kindly in English, so if you can speak even a little English, you can experience it with peace of mind. The view of Hawaii and Oahu from the Cessna was breathtaking ( ･ ･̥ )♡ It was different from seeing the scenery from an airplane; we could truly feel the essence of Hawaii's sky while enjoying the stunning views, which was wonderful (*^^*). I believe this Cessna experience allows you to fully appreciate the beauty of the ocean and nature from a wide perspective (*^^*). The vividly blue sea, so clear that you could see the bottom, was like a painting, and we enjoyed the view of Diamond Head from above. I felt we had a truly wonderful experience, feeling the grandeur of Oahu's nature (*^^*).

Such an experience is rare, and to ensure I could reminisce about it after returning home, I entrusted the piloting to my husband and took photos and videos from the back seat. My husband, while piloting, was also able to enjoy the scenery and seemed very happy with the experience (*^^*). The piloting was reassuring as a strong, reliable instructor was beside him giving guidance (*^^*).

Additionally, the kind and friendly father of the couple who run this company picked us up from the hotel. Wow!!! Let's start by saying Wow!!! This is a bucket list must! An this is the best place to ride in a glider. You won't regret it. All the guys that work here are so friendly. Very knowledgeable and very helpful. And Mr. Bill is such a character. He was very funny great sense of humor great personality. Place is well-maintained as even restrooms. And if you have to wait you can walk across the street to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. You've got to try this. The views from the plane ride are breathtaking. You can see mountains, beach and on a clear sunny day the island of Kauai. Once you get up in the air it's quiet and beautiful. It's a touch of Heaven.

Washin Air Honolulu Airplane Sightseeing Scenic Flight Tour

I had tried to go on this tour previously for the flight school but it cancelled. This time, we opted for the scenic flight. The experience was pretty cool - and really immersive especially if you have an interest in aviation.

It was really rainy and we had called a couple times on the way to the airport to see if the flight was going out. The cloud cover was pretty low on the northeast side so a lot of the mountain view was obstructed. Overall, pretty cool tour but wish the weather cooperated with us!

Would go again for the flight school option!
