However, I was worried that I couldn't confirm things immediately upon arrival at the location. My first experience in a Cessna. I was filled with anticipation as I headed to Oahu. However, the morning hotel pickup was canceled, so I ended up joining in the afternoon. Later, I learned from a Japanese man in his 50s who was driving us that the morning flights were canceled due to heavy fog, which made me feel lucky. This man had extensive knowledge about Hawaii, and during the 20-minute drive, we became quite familiar with the area. The airport waiting room was very clean, and there were plenty of welcoming snacks. I also encountered the cleanest restroom of my Hawaii trip there. The flight route was explained by the pilot, who seemed friendly and was also a Japanese man in his 50s. I took motion sickness medication an hour before the flight, and off we went. Onboard, the scenery was stunning, and the pilot provided a wealth of commentary over the tourist spots, which made for an exciting experience. I was worried about getting motion sickness, but it was a comfortable journey in the sky. The flight lasted about 70 minutes from takeoff to landing. We circled over the Pearl Harbor Arizona Memorial about nine times while waiting for landing clearance, which was also fun. The landing was very smooth, with less vibration than my return flight on Delta Airlines.

I would definitely use this service again if I have the opportunity!

I called to change the pickup location the day before, and they kindly accommodated my request. It’s a reassuring experience with a company run by Japanese people. During the drive, they provided various information about Hawaii, which was enjoyable.

Pilot Teddy Nomura also shared many sightseeing spots during the flight. He spoke very well about the first-time experience of piloting. I was able to see rainbows multiple times, which was delightful.

After a short break (with plenty of snacks and juice), they changed the return shuttle to drop us off at Ala Moana Shopping Center. They recommended some affordable shops, which made the experience even more enjoyable.

I am very grateful to the couple who run the business. I had a wonderful experience and great memories. I would love to visit again. Thank you very much.

体験操縦ですが、離陸から着陸まで操縦桿を握ることが出来ました。
離陸、着陸は難しいので、手を添える形にはなりますが、十分操縦をしている感覚を得られます。無事離陸したら、自由に飛行機を操れるようになります。教官からルートを教えていただき、高速道路や海岸線に沿って飛ぶように操縦しました。上下左右に自分で飛行機を操縦している感覚は感動ものです。初心者には難しいヨークやスロットルの操作は教官がやってくださるので操縦桿の操作に集中出来ます。
天気が良く、空から見るオアフ島は自然豊かで絶景でした。要所要所で、教官が観光名所を紹介してくださり、また操縦を教官に任せて写真を撮ることも出来ます。教官やスタッフさんも写真を沢山撮ってくださいました。教官もスタッフさんも気さくな方で話しやすく大変親切にしてくださいました。今回はスタッフに加え、教官も日本人だったのでオール日本語で体験出来、助かりました。

一生の思い出となる体験が出来ました。
大変満足しています。ありがとうございました

Once we took off and reached a safe altitude, the piloting experience began. The piloting time was quite long, with 40 minutes of the 60-minute flight dedicated to actually flying.

It's the best experience to be able to pilot without a license. It is a bit pricey, but I would love to participate again.

The flight route is determined by the weather on the day, and I flew along the west coast route from Pearl Harbor to Haleiwa, the westernmost point at Kaena Point, and Ko Olina.

The area near Kaena Point was clear and sunny, and it was such a beautiful place that I was more captivated by the scenery than by flying.

I was told that I could take photos freely, but I was having so much fun piloting that I didn't have time for that. However, the instructor took quite a few photos, and the ground staff also took pictures when we departed.

Additionally, as long as it doesn't cover your ears, you can always use an action camera for filming.

I was picked up by the owner, Kaz, and his wife. They were so friendly that it felt like we had known each other for a long time, and they shared a lot of information about the Cessna experience and Hawaii.

After arriving at the office, I was taught how to operate the Cessna, and then we set off.

The course departed from and returned to Honolulu Airport, flying over Ala Moana, out to the waters off Honolulu, passing Diamond Head, Makapu'u Point, the sandbars of Kailua and Kaneohe, Kualoa Ranch, the North Shore, Dole Plantation, Pearl Harbor, and we circled around Oahu in about an hour.

What surprised me the most was being able to see Hawaii's great nature from above. This was my third time in Hawaii, and I had only been to Waikiki, Ala Moana, downtown, and the North Shore, but seeing the eastern coast of Oahu from the air allowed me to truly feel the grandeur of Hawaii's nature, making me love Hawaii even more.

慣れてからは本当に楽しく、言葉に表すことが難しいですが、目に飛び込んでくるもの全てが最高でした。
小6と小3の子も後部座席で撮影をしながら終始楽しんでいて、あまりの心地よさでノースショアあたりからうたた寝を始めましたw
酔い止め薬を飲ませていましたが、うちの子達には不要でした。

また予想外に良かったのは、ハワイの大自然を上空から見られたことです。私はハワイに来たのは3回目で、ワイキキやアラモアナ、ダウンタウン、ノースショアあたりしか行ったことが無かったのですが、オアフの東海岸を上空から見ることで、ハワイの大自然や雄大さを肌で感じることができ、より一層ハワイが好きになりました。
また着陸の順番待ち？のためか、パールハーバー上空を3週ほど旋回したのですが、80年前の日本兵はどんな風に見ていたのだろうともの思いにふけながら、飛ぶこともでき、こちらも予想外に大変感慨深かったです。

34年ぶりの円安で高価なオプショナルツアーになりましたが、間違いなく、生涯記憶に残る体験ができたと思います。セスナの体験操縦は世界でも3箇所？しか出来ないようで、タイミングが合えば是非オススメです。
子供達とも楽しい思い出になるのではと思います。

I found a dream activity of piloting a Cessna and signed up for my husband, who loves airplanes. I'm not very good with heights, but I took a seat in the back and challenged myself to film with a rented GoPro.

My impression is... it was simply the best!! You can experience a world beyond the ordinary!

Many of the staff at Lanilea are Japanese, so there’s no anxiety about language barriers, allowing me to ask questions with ease. I made some unreasonable requests, but they kindly listened to me. Thank you to the cheerful owner.

Weather was ideal for gliding, some clouds but above where we were flying.

Aerobatic exercises are exciting and one is able to experience some G-forces plus weightlessness during the loops. A most enjoyable flight from take off to landing. Would do it again if the opportunity presented itself.
