The driver who picked us up was Japanese, and he shared various stories during the bus ride! Once we arrived at the site, we could use a QR code to watch a YouTube video to confirm how to ride again, which was great!

The staff at the riding area didn't speak our language, but the driver acted as an interpreter, and the staff were cool, kind, and wonderful! It seems that the horses dislike the smell of alcohol, so please be careful about drinking! It really seems like you won't be allowed to ride if you have been drinking. Selfie sticks also seem to be a no-go since the horses dislike them! It's recommended to carry them in a way that hangs around your neck.

The horses were very calm and obedient, so we had a really enjoyable time! Riding along the seaside with the wind in our hair, the view from the horse was amazing! The scenery on the road after entering the gate was different from Japan, and it felt like I was in Jurassic World.

We participated with our middle school child who wanted to go horseback riding, making it a family of three.

The guide explained the history of Kualoa Ranch, including movie filming locations and the World War II munitions depot, in English and broken English while we leisurely rode the horses. It was a very satisfying tour where we could enjoy the scenery and horseback riding at a relaxed pace.

Since we booked the morning tour, we enjoyed delicious hamburgers at the cafeteria afterward. We had Hawaiian cuisine made with ingredients from Kualoa Ranch. The attached souvenir shop was also well-stocked, and our child was very happy. A little further away, there was a farmers market selling local coffee, honey, vegetables, meat, and ice pops, which was a lot of fun.

This time, my wife and I experienced horseback riding for the first time. We considered North Shore, but since my wife had her heart set on it, we decided to go horseback riding at Kualoa Ranch.

I thought two hours would be long, but it went by in no time. The horse I rode, Honu, was very intuitive and moved or stopped on its own without me having to do much at all (laughs). It was my first time riding, but I was able to enjoy it without any particular difficulties.

For our belongings, we could either use a paid locker for $5 or, if we had a small amount, we could borrow a bag for horseback riding to put our things in. It's important to note that you need to arrive and check in 45 minutes before the tour starts.

Also, video recording is generally prohibited for safety reasons, but taking photos seems to be fine. Although it was in English, they provided explanations about various landmarks along the way, as well as the history of Hawaii and Kualoa. Both my wife and I had a wonderful time.

We progressed steadily through the mountainous film location in a line. Along the way, we enjoyed beautiful views of the ocean and had our photos taken, which we could share via Bluetooth afterward.
