We were the only Japanese people there, but when we arrived at Kualoa Ranch, a staff member who spoke Japanese guided us, which was reassuring. As a note, sunscreen and sunglasses are essential. The sun was very strong, and my face turned bright red the next day. You watch a 1-minute Japanese safety video, and then you immediately start riding, learning how to move forward, turn right, turn left, and stop! You can have 100% fun even if you don't understand English, but I think you'll enjoy it 120% if you do! (There was an instructor assigned to our group who explained things here and there. However, since we didn't understand English, we could only guess from others' reactions that it was something about something, but we didn't know the details, haha.)

In our case, a Japanese person explained how to use the lockers and the meeting time at the very beginning (you can receive a paper with explanations in Japanese), and I think it would have been much harder without that person. However, there is a Japanese video for horseback riding, and the instructor speaks necessary things in broken Japanese (like "pull to the right"), so I think it will be fine!

Each horse has its own personality, some are laid-back while others are more energetic, but all of them are smart, so you can enjoy just riding! The sun is strong, so please make sure to apply sunscreen. I got more tanned than at the beach, haha.

- You can attach a small pouch with two pockets to the saddle for drinks and your phone. You can take photos with one hand while riding.
- There are courses for the sea, mountains, and movies, but the sea is just a view from the mountains and you won't be walking on a beach. The movie course doesn't include famous spots like the fallen trees from Jurassic Park, so most of the ride is through the mountains. (That said, the open plains have beautiful scenery...) ・馬との相性？なのか基本的には指示しなくても勝手に歩いてくれますが、私の乗った馬は途中で止まってしまうことが多く、お腹を蹴るスタートの合図をしても中々進んでくれず前の方と間が空いてしまうことが多く焦りました。走ることはないため、初心者には向いていますが経験者には物足りないと感じるかもしれません。

予想外に良かった点
・クアロアで有名なハンバーガーは予想以上に美味しかったです。クラシックバーガーはパテ2枚・レタス・トマト・チーズのみでソースがかかっていないため、牛本来の味が楽しめハワイ旅行で1番美味しかったハンバーガーとなりました。付け合せで付いているポテトも油っこくなく美味しく、1人では多いけど2人だと物足りないかな？くらいの量でした。
・天気が不安定な日で、チェックイン時に不安な人は7＄でポンチョが売っているとの案内がありました。待機中に雨が止んだため買わなかったのですが、乗馬の人は受付時にヘルメット・小物入れの他にゴム製のポンチョを借りることが出来ました。乗馬中に降られたのでとても助かりました。

We headed to Kualoa Ranch while picking up participants from each hotel. Upon arrival, there was an explanation in Japanese, which was easy to understand. By the way, the explanation while riding is in English. The two-hour ride through the vast grounds, with its ups and downs, offered beautiful views from high places. Since you stay on the horse the whole time, it might feel a bit long if it's your first time riding. They took photos for us as a service. I would like to visit again the next time I go to Hawaii.

When it comes to horseback riding in Hawaii, I thought there was only Kualoa Ranch, but I was surprised to find out you can ride along the North Shore coast!! (Even my local friends didn't know about it.) It was definitely refreshing!! I have experience riding both domestically and internationally, but it's totally fine for first-timers as well. However, if you go on a tour, the time for exploring the North Shore town will be a bit short, which is a little disappointing.

(It sets behind the mountain across the street from the riding tour, which was a disappointment for me considering the name of the tour and the photos!)

I went to Hawaii for the first time on my honeymoon.

I was a bit anxious about whether I would be able to ride a horse since it was my first experience, but there was no problem at all!! The guide (who spoke English, but it was fine) provided great assistance while riding, so I felt reassured. They chose a horse that suited me. The horse was very smart, and when I gave commands with my legs, it would walk along the trail by itself, which was amusing.

While riding, I was able to enjoy the beautiful sea and mountains, experiencing the magnificent nature that you can't feel in Japan. I'm really glad I participated! It became my favorite memory of the Hawaii trip.

However, since it was a two-hour ride, my butt and legs became very sore... After getting off the horse, my legs were shaking for a while, which was funny. But even with that, I think it's a tour I would highly recommend!!

There were few dining options, and the burger I wanted had a long line, so I ended up settling for a sandwich from the shop, which I regret a little... The horse keychain at the shop was cute! ♡

馬から降りた後は暫く脚がガクガクしていました笑

飲食店が少なく、お目当てのハンバーガーはとても並んでいて時間がなかったので、売店のサンドウィッチで済ませたのが少し心残り、、

We booked a dream horseback riding experience for the family in Hawaii. The reservation process was easy and went smoothly, but getting there was quite a challenge! It took too long to rent a car in Waikiki, and just when we thought we were cutting it close, we followed the directions and found a closed gate along the way. Just when we were worried we couldn't get in, a kind local informed us that we needed to enter a code, and after a bit of confusion, we managed to resolve it with a phone call. The mountain roads were quite tricky, with many narrow spots.

Although the journey was tough, once we arrived, the friendly staff and the horseback riding while enjoying the breathtaking views made it an incredible experience. The 1.5-hour tour ended up being just over an hour, but since we were riding on rocky paths the whole time, my backside was a bit sore, which was probably just right.

After the ride, we even got to feed the adorable horses. The tour moves at a leisurely pace, so there are plenty of opportunities to take photos along the way.

ハワイでの憧れの乗馬体験を家族で予約。予約方法は簡単で問題なかったけど、現地までの道のりが大変！レンタカーをワイキキで借りるのに時間がかかりすぎてギリギリだってのに加えて近くまでルート案内通り進んで行くと、途中ゲートが閉まっていて開かない。入れないかと思ってるところに親切な近隣の方が番号入力が必要なことを教えてくれて挑戦するも解らず電話をかけて何とか解決。なかなかの山道で離合は厳しいところが多かった。(^_^;)
道のりは大変だったが現地に着くとフレンドリーなスタッフの対応、絶景を眺めながらの乗馬は気持ちよく最高な体験になりました。1.5時間のツアーが1時間ちょいで終了したけど、岩道をずっと乗ってたのでお尻が痛くてちょうど良かったかな。(о´∀`о)
乗馬終了後は可愛いお馬さんに餌やり体験までさせてくれた。ゆっくり進むツアーなので途中に写真もたくさん撮れます。
