It took about an hour and a half from Waikiki, but it was a very peaceful and relaxing ranch. The horseback riding options for preschoolers are limited, but this plan is very fulfilling. We were able to leisurely stroll through the vast grounds and even had designated photo time at various points. Along the way, we learned a lot about Hawaiian plants, how to care for horses, and how to give commands. At the end, we gave a thank-you carrot, brushed the horse, and took photos, making for a total experience of about 1 hour and 30 minutes. They kindly answered all of my daughter's many questions, and she fell in love with horseback riding. It felt like a personal English lesson while riding, which was a great deal. The entrance to the ranch is a bit tricky, but it was truly a wonderful place. If you have some time to spare, I highly recommend it!

I have been to Hawaii over ten times, but this was my first visit to Kualoa Ranch. I thought a two-hour horseback ride might be long, but I decided to book it since I felt two hours would be necessary to see places like the filming locations of Jurassic World. My horse was very gentle and well-behaved. There were some horses that started eating the grass by the roadside and stopped along the way. (I realized this is what "taking a detour" really means.) Experiencing the grandeur of Kualoa Ranch was amazing, and I was moved to think that they filmed Jurassic World and King Kong here. However, I must say that after two hours of riding, my backside was quite sore.

This was my third time participating in the tour. I joined with my girlfriend. The shuttle bus for previous tours was like a Ku'alola Ranch-style (a Western-style bus that was frankly quite old), but this time it was a regular large sightseeing bus, and it was a very clean bus. The comfort of the shuttle has improved.

After arriving, we immediately completed the reservation confirmation process, then stored our luggage in a locker before participating in the activities. After watching a safety video, we started with about six other participants on the same course.

This time it was a two-hour course, but the accompanying woman was constantly on her phone, just texting. Last time, at a Ku'alola-like place, there was a service where they took pictures of the participants with their phones in turn, but this time there was none at all. 今回2時間コースでしたが、付き添いの女性は　ずっと携帯でメールばかりをしていました。前回は、クアロラっぽい場所で順番に参加者の携帯で写真を撮ってくれたりのサービスがあったのですが、今回は全くありません。しかも、コースも、ジュラシックパークの恐竜の骨の残骸スポットも通ることなく？　30分以上　時間を残しての終了となりました。　　アテンドのスタッフでここまで違うのか！　とがっかりしました。
私たちは３度目だ要領を得ていましたが、初めての参加者は絶景なコースを通らなかったので、林間コースを中心とする乗馬と感じたでしょう、、、

During the horseback riding, I didn't have to control the horse at all; it just walked along the designated path. The guide explained things a couple of times, but it was too far away, and I couldn't hear well. For the rest of the time, I was riding while checking my phone and making calls.

The horses were cute, and it was a fun experience overall. I recommend participating without high expectations for the guide, and just enjoy the horseback riding experience and the scenery.

We went as a group of three, and the horses were incredibly gentle! It was my second time riding, but I was worried because my two friends were riding for the first time and none of us spoke English. However, there was no need for concern at all. The number of participants was just right, and the staff were neither too close nor too distant.

The course was not artificial; we crossed sandy beaches and rivers. The sunset we saw when we got used to the horses was truly beautiful and the best part of the experience.

The riding distance was just right, making it an excellent horseback riding experience.

My horseback riding experience at Kualoa Ranch during the New Year holiday was wonderful, so I repeated it. The horse I rode was very smart, and without stopping to graze along the way, it followed the horse in front of it slowly and steadily, allowing me to ride without hardly having to use the reins. I was able to fully enjoy the beautiful nature on the two-hour course. It felt just like stepping into a movie, and I was satisfied just gazing at the scenery without needing detailed explanations. You can take pictures and selfies with your smartphone or camera, so I think it's best to carry them in a way that keeps them secure around your neck. Even small body bags are required to be stored in lockers, so please be aware that you'll be riding without any bags.

The horses walked calmly in a line, and they even grazed along the way, so there were no moments that felt dangerous. Riding for two hours can make your backside sore! I felt it for two days afterward, haha.

Since we had nearly two hours until the horseback riding, we were at a loss and spontaneously signed up for a movie location tour on-site (about $50). It was with a Japanese-speaking guide and very enjoyable. Fortunately, there happened to be an opening at just the right time, but otherwise, it might have been boring.

The horseback riding started suddenly after watching a Japanese video. You have to put your belongings in a paid locker, and while cameras are allowed, it's better to hang them around your neck since there are moments when both hands are needed. The horses are well-trained and move slowly, so even beginners should have time to take photos. There are some beautiful scenic spots, so definitely take advantage of that. Occasionally, a horse would stray off the path, but the guides (there were two for about ten people) would bring them back. 到着後、アクティビティの時間までは自由行動ですが、実はクアロア牧場の中って個人的に回れるエリアがないんです。入場すると各アクティビティのチェックインカウンターがあるのですが、その付近をうろうろするか、ご飯を食べるかしかないです。乗馬の時間まで2時間近くあったので持て余し、急遽現地で映画ロケツアーを申し込みました。(50ドルくらい。日本語のガイドさんでとても楽しかったです。)たまたまちょうどよい時間の空きがあったので良かったですが、そうじゃないと退屈かもしれません 。乗馬は、日本語のビデオを観たらいきなりスタートです。荷物は有料ロッカーへ、カメラはOKですが、両手を使う場面もあるので首から下げるほうが良いです。馬さんたちはよく調教されていてゆっくり回ってくれるので写真を取る余裕は初心者でもあると思います。景色がいいところもあるので是非。たまに道を外れる子もいましたが、ガイドさん(10人位の列に対して2人でした)が連れ戻したり、、、位はありましたが、自撮り棒で写真めっちゃ撮ってる女の子の乗ってた馬だったので手元がおろそかになってたんじゃないかと。たぶんちゃんと指示を出せば言うことは聞いてくれます。
ちなみに服装ですが、ショートパンツにサンダルでも断られず乗ってる人もいました。でも乗馬中は日差しがダイレクトなので、膝とかすごく焼けると思います。あと鐙を操作するので、やはりつま先と踵がしっかりカバーされた靴が良いと思いますのでVELTRAさんの注意事項は適切だとおもいました。
