Thank you for a fantastic ride and the sunset was absolutely beautiful. We truly enjoyed our ride and the horses. We saw a stunning Rainbow the colors were so vibrant and the rainbow looked as though it went straight into the ocean. The guides were some of the best on the island and were very knowledgeable about the horses and their personality and their likes and dislikes. Beautiful scenery and would this to anyone who is visiting Oahu.

Fun tour!

We did the 9am 1-hour horseback. This tour is a trail ride meant for beginners - which was perfect for me! Don't forget to wear long pants and wear closed-toed shoes. There isn't much shade on the trail so wear plenty of sunscreen and wear sunglasses.

If you do the ATV at Gunstock Ranch too, try to do the tours back-to-back. This tour booked out a few weeks in advance and I wasn't able to do the tours back-to-back. We did the 9am horseback, had some time to grab lunch in Haleiwa, then came back to the ranch for our 2pm ATV tour. If you do this, make sure you leave with plenty of time to allow for traffic. Traffic on the North Shore can be unpredictable and you can be caught in bumper to bumper traffic which might make you late for the tour.

Not what we expected

Ulike what the description read, there was no in the water. Also, at the end of the ride, we were not allowed to gallop with the horses. Granted, only 1 of us would be considered an advanced rider, but we picked this one solely because of those 2 factors. Very expensive for nothing more than a " Trail Ride " , that basically was along a portion of the beach that has very little public access. If you have never done anything like this before, it would probably make some great memories for you. I however have had Much Better Sunset Beach rides, that I still talk about to this day, this one on the other hand, wont be talked about gery much. Do your research, call ahead & ask questions before you book. Most times, it is the 1 & only shot at a first time, lasting memory

It was a great ride along the park, my tour guide was very knowledgeable friendly and helpful. Would do it again when I'm in Honolulu.

The horses seemed well trained and not overworked, which made me happy and feel better about Riding the horses.

If your in the Honalulu area you must try this activity. Veltra also made it easy for me to book.

This was by far my favorite activity and our girls loved it. It was so beautiful. There are also so many different movies filmed here and that was cool to see. They also have a super reasonable cafe with excellent food. Bacon and eggs for only $10 and ACAI bowls were to die for!!! They do weigh you right before you get on the horse and are strict about the weight. Could have done this several times.

It was really a great experience, regardless of the rain. HoHo was my horse— described as the Regina George of the group! The staff were friendly. Wish there was a way to communicate with our leader, Cassie a bit better while on the trail. It would be nice to have stopped in one more place for pictures and if the spot we do stop at could have a block so people could get off, that would be cool! It would also be cool to learn a little about the plants we see, the area we are in, more information about POLO too.
The pace was good although a little instruction on how to sit in the seat (where to tighten to lessen the inside leg pain) would be helpful too.
I did not see and was not ensured of a method for cleaning the helmets. Maybe offering some kind of bandana for customers to buy so people who are weary of lice or anything can feel more comfortable.
We really learned the meaning of learning how to ride “it”.

I had a great time horseback riding. The scenery was beautiful, and they took photos for me. (I received them later via airdrop.) Riding alone for about an hour since I was 8 years old is something I can't do in Japan, so it was a wonderful experience.

First time horseback riding and I can honestly say we had a wonderful experience. They made sure to have a safety demo in the beginning prior to jumping on to be sure everyone was safe and comfortable enough to ride. Nice peaceful scenery and the breeze off of the ocean made the horseback riding extremely relaxing. Towards the end of the tour, we also stopped to take some pics on the beach with the horses!! Our tour guide Becca was the BEST! Definitely will go back and make sure to request her as our tour guide again.

Ten of us participated, ranging from my 5-year-old grandchild to 60 years old.

In Japan, where safety is a top priority, my 5-year-old grandchild was probably not allowed to ride a horse alone, but here, they were able to ride by themselves and were very satisfied!

We enjoyed horseback riding at our own levels, just relaxing as a family on the ranch.

Of course, communication was a challenge since Japanese was not spoken, but it was a refreshing experience for the grandchildren, which was great.

While I was signing the consent form and choosing a helmet, a video about how to handle the horses and safety precautions was playing, so I couldn't watch it much, and since it was my first time riding, I felt very anxious.

I thought I would be able to ride along the beach of Kaneohe Bay as shown in the pictures, but I could only see it from a great distance. Also, it mentioned, "You must have seen that famous tree from the 'What tree is that?' commercial," and I thought I would be able to see that big tree, but I couldn't. (I also couldn't find the monkey pod tree.)

The riding itself was a bit nerve-wracking at first, but the horse was very cute and I had a lot of fun. ^_^ Other people's horses had some unexpected moments, like stopping to eat grass or going to the bathroom. I would love to visit again if I have the chance.

We participated in a 2-hour course without transportation for 5 people. Since taking the shuttle would mean a longer wait time, we drove there with a rental car. It takes about an hour from Waikiki. This time, we went to the outlet in the morning, so we arrived in less than an hour from there. Our start time was scheduled for 3 PM, but since we arrived early, they changed it to start at 2:30 PM. Kualoa has been the filming location for various movies, and both the mountains and the ocean offer stunning views. Although there are quite a few days with bad weather, we were fortunate to have nice weather this time. It's not often that I get the chance to go horseback riding in Japan, so it was enjoyable. The horses remember the course, and they provide instructions on how to operate them, so there's no need to worry. If you want to store your belongings, there are lockers available. I think it was $5.

I participated in a two-hour Jurassic Park location horseback riding tour with a friend. The departure was almost on time, and we were taken by a large bus along with those doing the buggy rides. Upon arriving at the ranch, we split into groups of Japanese and non-Japanese to hear about the meeting place and time, and we had free time until then. Since it was raining heavily until departure, I thought about borrowing a raincoat, but it was too big and the rain was intermittent, so I ended up not borrowing one. Helmets are mandatory, and there were fewer small sizes available. Backpacks and one-shoulder bags are not allowed, but waist pouches are permitted. It seems you can borrow a saddlebag even if you don’t have a pouch. Before riding, we watched a video explanation and then it was time to ride. I thought the guide would lead us, but my friend's horse was allowed to go ahead because "this horse knows the way," which made for a very free-spirited ride! Thanks to that, we occasionally took the wrong path. Riding with a view of the ocean and progressing through the vast grasslands in the grand canyon was exhilarating. While trotting and cantering were prohibited, I really wanted to run because the scenery was that beautiful. We got caught in a little rain on the way back, but it dried quickly due to the dry weather. Since I had made an early reservation, I ate the sandwiches I brought until departure (food can also be obtained at the cafeteria), strolled around the ranch, and when I got on the bus to go back, I took a deep nap. The guide was a local person who couldn't speak Japanese, so I thought it would have been even better to have a Japanese guide. There was a video explaining horseback riding in Japanese, so I was able to enjoy it even without a Japanese guide.

The guide was very pleasant and kindly assisted my parents, who were inexperienced, with a smile until the end.

There was a mistake from the tour company that almost led to a cancellation the day before, but thanks to Veltra's quick communication with the tour company, we were able to change from a two-hour course to a one-hour course. Without Veltra's support, we would have been left in tears, and they handled the communication with the tour company on our behalf, which was a huge help. I really don't want to deal with the tour company while trying to enjoy my trip...

Including that kind of support, I’m really glad I booked through Veltra instead of directly!

I will definitely make a comeback to do the two-hour course that visits the movie filming locations that we couldn't do this time.

For those who will go in the future... There were hardly any activities to pass the time on the premises. If you book with transportation included, it would be wise to consider how long the wait will be for the return bus.

敷地内で時間を潰せるものは殆どありませんでした。送迎付きで予約する場合、帰りのバスまでの待ち時間がどのくらいになるかを考えて予約した方が良さそうです。

Riding on a horse amidst the overwhelming scenery was very pleasant. Moreover, it was a great point that I could see not only the mountains but also the beautiful ocean. I participated in the two-hour course, but it was a bit tough for someone who doesn't exercise much since there were no breaks along the way. However, the view from the back of the cute horse and seeing my family was the best!

圧倒的な景色の中、馬に揺られて進むのは、とても気持ちが良かったです。
しかも山だけではなく海まで綺麗に見えたのがとてもうれしいポイントでした。２時間コースに参加したのですが、途中で休憩がなかったので運動不足の身には少しキツかったです。でもかわいい馬の背中で見る景色と家族の姿は最高でした❗️
