I had reserved a shuttle service, but after waiting 5 minutes past the scheduled arrival time, I called to confirm and was told they were on their way and to wait. After waiting for another 10 minutes without any sign of them, I informed the staff at the hotel where we were staying, and they made several calls, but in the end, we waited for 40 minutes without the shuttle arriving, so we took a taxi instead. (The taxi fare was refunded.) Once we arrived at the destination, everything went smoothly, and the kids enjoyed themselves. I've heard about shuttle troubles happening abroad, but it was my first experience, so I felt a bit disappointed.

The dolphins were very smart and adorable, and I was satisfied with the fun interaction. My nephew, who participated with me, was also thrilled. The water in the lagoon was murkier than I had imagined.

During the wait, the reception area was very cold due to the strong wind, so we moved and sat on a chair by the pool, but we were soon asked to leave by a hotel employee since it was for hotel guests only, which is understandable.

After the interaction, the price for the photos we had taken was high... so I deducted one star for that.

I was prepared for the English explanation after seeing other people's comments, but perhaps due to the rainy season and the chilly weather, there were only the three of us. At the reception, they asked if we preferred the explanation in English or Japanese, and to my pleasant surprise, we received the entire explanation in Japanese (there was a trainer who spoke Japanese). Thanks to the kind trainer, my child was initially scared but ended up enjoying it, and I was glad we participated. Even though I didn't join in, I was very satisfied because I could watch closely from the side of the lagoon!

We participated in a family activity at the Dolphin Encounter with our 9-month-old child. After a brief explanation about dolphin ecology, we were able to touch the dolphins, take commemorative photos, and see their tricks up close. Most of the explanations were in English, but there were also occasional bits of broken Japanese.

There was no specific dress code mentioned, but since you'll be kneeling by the water, it's better to wear shorts and flip-flops that can get wet. Wearing pants might get you wet. There's no need to wear a swimsuit.

Next time, when my child is older, I would like to participate in an activity where we can swim with the dolphins. Since it's located at the Kahala Resort, we enjoyed lunch at a hotel restaurant along the beach after the activity.

息子が英語が話せないから、存在を無視されていたようでした。

あとから購入する写真を選ぶのですが、最初に希望を伝えていたポーズも無く、良いものが一枚もなかったので落胆しました。
高いお金を払って写真を撮ってもらいに来たのに、と後悔しました。
なんとか写真を数枚購入しましたが見るたびに悲しい気持ちになるので、しまいこんでいます。

長くなりましたが、お子様が参加されるのであれば英語がネイティブ並みに堪能でないとおすすめしません。大人なら大丈夫だと思います。

We had such a good time. There was 7 of us in our group. Some of us had been to Oahu before and some had not. We wanted to take a smaller, more personal tour. So we could all be TOGETHER and learn some of the history of the islands while seeing all the sights.
Our driver was insightful, and fun. He answered all of our inquiries with so much knowledge.
Everyone of us enjoyed the whole tour. It was nice to be able to talk, visit, take pictures and not have to worry about driving and finding the way ourselves.
We didn't feel rushed... got to see everything at each stop.

I participated with my 6-year-old daughter. Of course, the trainer spoke English, so I was worried about my limited listening skills, but they kindly taught us using body language, which made it a lot of fun. It might be reassuring to have some basic swimming skills. The dolphins were truly adorable, and both my daughter and I were captivated. Although it was only 25 minutes, I think it was just the right amount of time for a 6-year-old in terms of physical stamina. I made a reservation in advance in Japan to stay at the Kahala Hotel. I am overwhelmed with joy that my long-time dream of swimming with dolphins has come true. It was a genuine interaction, not just the typical experience of touching dolphins that you often find in Japan. We participated as a couple, but it seemed that families in the same group were also enjoying themselves.

If I had to mention a downside, I was a bit concerned about the water's cleanliness. It might be due to the dolphins' waste, which is understandable... Since it's not a fish tank, it might be difficult to purify the lagoon. Also, I feel that the price is a bit too high.

I definitely recommend it to anyone staying at the Kahala.

I've never been close to a dolphin before, so actually being able to touch one was a new experience for me (they're softer than I expected).

The trainer that was with me was Christian, and he was exceedingly helpful and reassuring, adding various facts about dolphins and marine life throughout the encounter. Kolohe, the dolphin I met, was very friendly and well-behaved.

I think this is a great experience, especially for kids or others who don't know a lot about dolphins and marine life.

This time, I traveled to Waikiki with my wife's family. Since it was a personal trip with a total of seven people, we arranged for a limousine. Five people took the limousine, while my wife and I followed in a rental car to the hotel.
