My driver was so nice and friendly ! I ended up being the only one on the shuttle ! He was so nice and friendly and told me about the island and answers all my questions ! I've done snorkeling a few times domestically, but Hawaii is on a whole different scale (laughs). The fish are larger, and I even got to meet a sea turtle! It was truly moving!! It's definitely better to have a wetsuit! The rocks and coral can hit your feet. The snorkel was also the type that doesn't let water in, so I didn't end up drinking seawater even after swimming for a long time♪ The guide was very kind, and I definitely want to go again.

While snorkeling on my own is nice, having a guide allowed me to efficiently see wonderful spots. They also took photos during the snorkeling, which can be downloaded for free. Great trip. Well organized, all the equipment provided. Guide knew exactly where to find some rare animals. Pickup was from a hotel a quarter mile from where we were staying in Honolulu. Try to go at high tide if possible.

The weather was great, and the sea was very beautiful! The tour guide was very kind, and even though I hadn't rented a wetsuit, they had it ready for me. Three women participated. Luckily, we were able to see two sea turtles, which was very exciting! Wearing wetsuits was definitely the right choice as it protected us from the cold and the coral. In fact, one of us was a beginner who couldn't swim and was experiencing the ocean for the first time. She was really scared when it came to putting her face in the water, getting water in her ears, and not being able to breathe through her nose. At one point, she even cramped up and we worried she might have to give up. However, thanks to the kind support of our instructor Chieko, she managed to complete the one-hour snorkeling session. We are very grateful for all the help. She was really happy to have had a great experience. So, even those who can't swim can participate with peace of mind, and there's no doubt that you'll feel glad you joined!

There were five of us in total, including ourselves. The guide was really kind and entertaining! It was my first time snorkeling, and without the guide, I would have had no idea how to swim while putting on the gear. During the experience, we were able to see sea turtles twice, and we even got some photos taken. They asked if we needed wetsuits (for $10) when we participated. The guide strongly recommended it, so we decided to get one, and I truly believe I would have been cold and caught a cold without it. While it would be fine for just playing in the water at the beach, they mentioned it was necessary since we would be swimming for over an hour, and I am really grateful for that.

If I have friends going to Hawaii, I would definitely recommend this tour!

I went on the shuttle bus knowing that the bay was beautiful from above. Quick however thorough instructions on the equipment. Once you get used to it the beauty you find in the clear waters are amazing. After this outing everything was stress free for me. All I can say is if you can swim you had not miss this.

Only my family participated on the day. I thought we would go to Hanauma Bay with a larger group, but it seems there were only about two groups at a time. We got into the car of our instructor (who was Japanese) and headed to Hanauma Bay. The water was cold, and it took some determination to get in. I think it's better to borrow a wetsuit if you can. The rocks can be surprisingly dangerous. It was really great to have an experienced instructor with us. They taught us how to use the snorkel and fins, stayed close to my 9-year-old daughter who isn't very confident in swimming, and guided us along a relatively safe route despite the rocky and hazardous conditions underwater. We were even able to see turtles.

　当日参加メンバーは私の家族のみ。私はもっと大人数でハナウマ湾に行くのかと思っていましたが一回に2組ぐらいらしいです。
　インストラクタ（日本人）の車に乗り込んでハナウマ湾へ。

　ベテランインストラクタがついていていただけたのは本当に良かったです。

Swimming with two sea turtles was amazing!
There were so many beautiful fish, and the scenery was fantastic.
I think it’s better to take motion sickness medication just in case you might get seasick.
Wearing a wetsuit provides buoyancy and keeps you warm, so I recommend borrowing one.
The tour guides were very kind, making it the best tour ever.
At first, when I was swimming away from my son, they helped bring me back to him, so thank you for that.
Holding hands with my son while swimming with the sea turtles became a lifelong memory. Also, when I got seasick, it was really reassuring to swim back to shore together.

We both cannot swim but dan and Jan made us so comfortable that we forgot our worries and went for it. They gave us a lesson before the activity and it helped us a lot. During the activity, Dan was always there.. literally holding my wife's hand through out so that she doesnot panic. We had a beautiful experience to remember. Highly recommend Dan and Jan.

what a wonderful tour. snorkeling for a beginner or someone with a little experience. our tour guide made us feel safe and made sure we saw lots of fish and turtles as he knew where they were often seen. going without a guide, I don't think I would have ventured as far from shore as I did.
