I went to Hanauma Bay with my family and we had a wonderful experience! In the morning, we went to the pickup spot where the shuttle came to pick us up on time and everything went smoothly. The shuttle was very clean and the seats were nice and comfortable. Our shuttle driver was very kind and funny. I liked that she told us more about the island and the streets we were driving on while we were on the way to the bay. While on the bus, we also watched a mandatory and informative video about safety and preserving the bay. When we got to Hanauma Bay, we were greeted by someone from Roberts Hawaii who walked us all the way to where the tram was that took us down to the bay which was very helpful because we didn't have to find it on our own and we didn't have to walk all the way down. We enjoyed our day at the bay swimming and snorkeling and saw so many colorful fish! Then when it was time for pickup, our shuttle came on time and we were on our way back to Waikiki. Everything about the day went smoothly and it was so fun and relaxing. I really appreciated that everyone who helped us was so kind and helpful. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I would gladly go on this shuttle again!

The bus picked us up and we took a short walk to a trolley, which then took us to the beach. Once you're off, you're greeted with a great angle of the sky and surrounded by cliffs that form the wall of the bay. There are areas of the ocean filled with coral for snorkeling, and areas with close to no coral for those who simply enjoy being in the water. Plenty of space to set up camp, featuring grassy areas and sandy ones for whichever you prefer. Either way, any spot will give you a bright shine from the sun, a short walk to the water, and enough space to relax during your trip.

After the beach, there is a small gift shop and a food court. The gift shop is pretty generic, but features Hanauma trinkets and accessories. The food court has enough food options to keep you full until you get back. I recommend getting the chicken tenders, but ask them to sub out the regular fries with garlic fries. That seemed to be the most popular item there and I saw most people eating that.

Overall, fun beach to visit with a great view of the ocean for pictures.

I have been to Hawaii more than ten times, and this was my first visit to Hanauma Bay. It's a bit difficult to go on your own because you need a rental car and there are limits on the number of people, but this tour was great! The round trip was on a large bus, and the timing was precise! We also watched a video about environmental conservation on the bus, so we were able to head straight to the beach upon arrival, making for a very smooth experience.

10回以上ハワイに来ていて今回初めてハナウマ湾に行きました。
個人で行くにはレンタカーが必要だったり人数制限があったりして行きづらいですが、このツアーは行き帰りは大型バスでしかも時間は正確！バスの中で環境保全のビデオも見るので着いてすぐにビーチに行けてとてもスムーズな体験ができました。

The bus arrived on time at 8:30 to pick us up. They efficiently checked the guest list and quickly got us on the bus, providing a fun English guide along the way to Hanauma Bay. We also watched a pre-visit video about Hanauma Bay on the bus, so we were able to enter directly upon arrival. After confirming the return time and location, we were off to Hanauma Bay! We laid out a small leisure sheet on the grass under the observation tower, left our belongings except for valuables, and enjoyed snorkeling. We could see fish even at the shoreline, but there were many more around the coral. We had chosen a return time of 12:30, which was just right. We were blessed with good weather, and it truly turned out to be a fulfilling day.

バスは時間通り8時半に迎えに来てくれました。手際よく名簿をチェックし直ぐにバスに乗せてくれ、ハナウマ湾までの道中も英語で楽しくガイドいただきました。バスの中でハナウマ湾の事前学習ビデオも視聴するので、現地では直接入場させてもらいました。帰りの時間と場所も再確認してから、いざハナウマ湾へ！監視塔下の芝生の上に小さなレジャーシートを敷き、貴重品以外の荷物を置き、シュノーケリングを楽しみました。お魚は波打ち際でも見れましたが珊瑚の辺りに多く見れました。帰りの時間は12時半を選択してましたが、丁度良かったです。お天気にも恵まれ、本当に充実した日になりました。

I had been looking forward to Hanauma Bay for a long time. The view from the high point before descending to the beach was truly breathtaking. The water felt like a natural aquarium! I was able to swim with colorful tropical fish while snorkeling, and it was an extraordinary experience. I also appreciated Hawaii's commitment to protecting the ocean, which was highlighted by the environmental protection video we watched beforehand.

ずっと楽しみにしていたハナウマ湾。ビーチに降りる前の高台からの景色はまさに絶景でした。水の中はまるで天然の水族館！シュノーケリングで色とりどりの熱帯魚と一緒に泳げて、非日常な時間を過ごせました。事前の環境保護ビデオの視聴も含めて、海を大切にするハワイの姿勢も素敵だなと感じました。

I experienced snorkeling for the first time at Hanauma Bay. The water was incredibly clear, and I was truly moved to see colorful fish swimming right nearby. At first, I was a bit nervous, but the waves were relatively calm, allowing me to enjoy it with peace of mind. I also felt that this place is well-preserved by nature, making it a very precious experience. It became a memorable time, a beautiful memory of Hawaii's stunning ocean.

ハナウマ湾で初めてシュノーケリングを体験しました。海の透明度がとても高く、色とりどりの魚たちがすぐ近くを泳いでいる様子を見ることができて、本当に感動しました。最初は少し緊張しましたが、波も比較的穏やかで、安心して楽しむことができました。自然が大切に守られている場所だということも実感でき、とても貴重な体験になりました。ハワイの美しい海の思い出として、心に残る時間となりました。

I was truly moved to see natural fish and coral reefs right nearby while swimming. However, the sea was cold at 7 AM in January, so I couldn't stay in for long... I think it would be enjoyable around 10 AM when the sun is fully up.

泳いでいるすぐ近くを天然の魚や珊瑚礁を見ることができ、本当に感動しました。
ただ、1月の朝7時の海は寒くて、長時間は入っていられませんでした…。
日が登りきった10時ごろなら楽しめると思います。

The shuttle service was wonderful. People were very friendly. The snorkeling was awesome. Everything went very smooth. Would use this company again and would recommend.

Hanauma Bay was really beautiful and probably one of my favorite places on the trip. The view was amazing, and I took a lot of nice photos just by lying on the grass and looking at the ocean. It felt super relaxing and peaceful. I also saw some really cool fish, which made it exciting and different from just a normal beach.

There were a few things I didn’t like though. The rocks in the water made it kind of hard to walk, and sometimes it hurt my feet. I also didn’t enjoy snorkeling that much, but that was mostly because I felt sick. I think it would actually be really fun if you feel okay.

Be careful when putting on sunscreen and don’t get it too close to your eyes because it really hurts. Also, watch out for mongoose because they might steal your food. I saw it happen to people sitting near us. Overall, Hanauma Bay is an awesome place and I would recommend going.

Dan was amazing, we had a marvelous time, Dan was patient, knowledgeable, friendly, and fun!

Dan and Chieko (?) from Hawaii Blue Divers were amazing! This particular company made the entire process our family of 3 as easy as it could be- no need to worry about anything! We had a great ride to and from Hanauma bay, we didn’t have to fuss over securing admission tickets (which I hear are a pain), we were provided with everything needed included tram rides to and from the entrance to the bay. Which was so appreciated after snorkeling 🤿. Dan was incredibly attentive and helpful to me (a scared of natural water, fear of drowning, and uncoordinated 44 year old), as well as to my 9 year old daughter who knows basic swimming concepts but is not yet a full swimmer. We were personally guided and had such a great experience. I cannot speak highly enough of these folks. Incredibly attentive, adaptive and knowledgeable. We clearly had chosen the right company to go with from the ease of entering the park before a HUGE line of white vans, not having to walk down to the bay or back up, snacks and water provided, and no need to deal with the hassle of renting equipment. We didn’t need to do anything beside show up to our pick up spot and have required cash and a change of clothes. They offer wetsuits and I highly recommend getting them for a bit more warmth, protection from getting scratched by coral, and added buoyancy. Make sure to have a good breakfast and hydrate before going, take clothes or a cover up to wear/change into, think about waterproof pouches for phones (not required as Dan did great with photos), towels, and enough cash to pay the entrance fee, rent wetsuits, and provide a BIG tip because you’ll be grateful for the experience. Expect to be tired and thrilled because it is a great snorkeling tour of the bay. Thank you Dan and Chieko!!!

I participated in late March. I considered booking the tickets myself, but I chose the tour to buy the peace of mind of having secured them in advance. It turned out to be a great decision! As mentioned in the tour description, we saved time by watching a video and receiving explanations from the guide on the bus. We wore paper bands on our right wrists to prove we were participants of Roberts, which we kept on until the return trip. Once we arrived, we skipped the explanation area for the general public and other tour participants and headed straight to the beach! I had imagined the shuttle bus would be a large van, but it was actually a big bus. We arrived right on time. There were some Japanese participants, but since it was organized by Roberts, there were many foreigners as well. The English was easy to understand, so there was no need to worry.

Although we only stayed from 8:00 to 12:00, it felt like no time at all. At first, I thought it might be long, but it felt like a lie! I laughed with the foreigners I traveled with about how quickly it went by! It was a spot that could move anyone, regardless of their nationality.

The total cost for the transportation and peace of mind was very reasonable, and I highly recommend it!

自分でチケット予約することも考えたが、先に確保できる安心感を買うつもりでツアーを
選択。結果大正解！ツアー説明にもある通り、行きのバスでガイドさんからの説明と動画視聴することで時間節約。説明確認済みの証明、Roberts参加者とわかるなように紙バンドを右手首に装着。帰りまでつけたまま。着いたら一般や他ツアー参加者が向かう説明場はスルーして即ビーチへ！シャトルバスも大型バンをイメージしていたが、大型バス。時間通りの到着。日本人もいたが、Roberts催行ということもあり外国の方が多数でした。英語もわかりやすいので心配不要です。
現地滞在8:00〜12:00だけどあっという間でした。最初は長いかな？と思っていたのが嘘みたい。行き帰り一緒だった外国の方と、あっという間だったね〜と笑い合うくらい！各国共通で感動できるスポットだなと実感。
送迎代、安心代トータルで高コスパでおすすめです！

I think you can swim from the morning in the summer, but the mornings in March are still cold and tough. However, once the sun comes out, it's not that cold, so it might be better to swim in the afternoon during winter. Even in the shallow areas, you can see a lot of fish and swim close enough to them. I also got to see a seal, which was fun. It was a shame that one of the snorkels was broken.

夏場は朝から泳げると思うけど3月の朝はまだ寒くて辛かった。でも日が出てからはさほど寒くないので冬場は午後がいいかも。浅瀬でも沢山の魚をみれて手が届きそうな距離で一緒に泳げます。アザラシにも会えて楽しかったです。シュノーケルが一つ壊れてて残念でした。

I participated in this tour on February 28th. The weather was clear, and the water was very clear, making for the best conditions. The snorkeling gear is available for rent on-site, which is reassuring. All the explanations are in English, but there is generally a Japanese guide on the voucher, so I was able to understand everything without any issues. Although I didn't encounter any sea turtles, I was able to see a variety of colorful fish, both large and small, which was very moving. I think even beginners can participate with confidence. There are also facilities for restrooms and changing spaces. It was a wonderful tour where I could fully enjoy the nature-rich Hanauma Bay, and I definitely want to participate again.

2/28に本ツアーを利用しました。当日は晴天で海の透明度も高く、最高のコンディションでした。シュノーケリングセットは現地でレンタル可能で安心。説明はすべて英語ですが、バウチャーに概ね日本語の案内があるため問題なく理解できました。ホヌには出会えなかったものの、大小さまざまな色とりどりの魚に出会うことができ、とても感動しました。初心者でも安心して参加できると思います。トイレや着替えスペースも整っています。自然豊かなハナウマベイを満喫できる素敵なツアーで、ぜひまた参加したいです。

My boyfriend and I had the BEST time on this experience. Firstly the bus that picked us up was LUSH and so comfortable (more comfortable than the flight to get to Hawaii!). The tour guide and bus driver were so nice and very informative. Took us through the most scenic route to get to the bay so it was really nice to see the beautiful coastline before we even arrived. The bay itself is just INCREDIBLE. So so beautiful. They have a great service to drive you down to the bay to save your leggies (although we did walk back up and it was fine - short and sharp lol). We got ourselves a great spot on the beach, then got straight in to the water. The water was crystal clear, and beautiful temperature and we saw SO many fish from the get-go. It was a really love few hours snorkelling and then just relaxing in the sun, would absolutely recommend doing this experience to anyone and everyone!

The pickup was smooth, and we were able to watch the video that we would normally see after arriving while still in the car. Depending on the time, there were long lines for individuals to get tickets, but since we were part of a group, we were able to go to the beach smoothly. Overall, there was no wasted time, and we got to enjoy a beautiful beach!

The guide provided explanations in English, and they spoke slowly, making it easy to understand!

時間によっては個人でチケット手配して入るところは長蛇の列でしたが、団体だからかスムーズに海に行くことが出来、

In February, I really wanted to visit Hanauma Bay, so I searched the web and found this transportation plan from VELTRA. It was cheaper compared to other sites and had good reviews, so I booked it right away. The reservation form was easy to understand, and they sent plenty of reminder emails after the booking, which was very helpful.

I wished for sunny weather the whole time, and finally, the day arrived! I was picked up at 8 AM in the alley behind the Hyatt. The bus arrived a little late, possibly due to traffic, which made me a bit worried, but the large green bus with "Roberts Hawaii" written on it was easy to spot, so I felt reassured. Inside the bus, we watched a 10-minute video, and we were given wristbands for entry to Hanauma Bay after confirming our viewing.

The bus driver continuously explained the scenery around us, so I was never bored; it was fun! We arrived at Hanauma Bay in just over 30 minutes. Those who booked directly through the official site had to wait in a long line for entry, but since we had already watched the video, we could skip the line! We entered without any stress.

Hanauma Bay was as beautiful and blue as I had seen in photos, with a lot of colorful fish swimming around; it felt like paradise! The number of visitors is limited to 1,400, so it wasn't crowded at all.

It was amazing. I definitely want to book through this site again!

ほかのサイトと比べても安く、評価も良かったため即予約。
予約フォームも分かりやすく、予約後もたくさんメールでリマインドを送って下さり助かりました。

ずーっと晴れを願いに願ってついに当日！
朝は8時にHyatt裏路地でピックアップ。
道路渋滞のせいか、バスが少し遅れて到着したので若干心配でしたが、「Roberts Hawaii」と書かれた大きな緑のバスがわかりやすくやってくるので安心。
バスの中で10分程度のビデオを観て、視聴認証のリストバンドを渡されハナウマベイに入場する仕組みです。
バスの運転手さんが周りの景色についてずーーっと説明してくれるからまったく飽きず、楽しい！！
30分強程度でハナウマベイに到着。
ハナウマベイを公式から予約した方々は入場のための長蛇の列に並ばなければいけないようでしたが、私たちはビデオも視聴済なのでそのまま列をスルー！
ストレスなしで入場できます。

ハナウマベイは写真で見た通りとーっても綺麗で真っ青で、色とりどりの魚も沢山泳いでおりまるで楽園でした！！
入場人数が1400人と限られているので混雑もなし。

最高でした。
またぜひこちらのサイトから予約したいです！

If you're looking to enjoy snorkeling in Hawaii, I recommend this sea! The weather was cloudy, so I couldn't see the true blue of the ocean, but there were plenty of fish swimming around, which was a lot of fun. There is a dedicated shuttle car from the high point down to the beach, making it very convenient, although it might take some time to board if it's crowded. The beach in front of the hotel was also beautiful, but there weren't any fish swimming there, so I think it's worth coming here!

I don't speak much English, but I think it's fine to join an English tour if you use a translation app! Also, it might have just been a coincidence, but there were people on-site who spoke Japanese, which was reassuring! Next time, I want to participate when the weather is nice!

天気が曇りで本来の海の青さを見ることができませんでしたが、海の中はお魚がいっぱいで泳いでて楽しかったです。
高台から下のビーチまでは専用の移動カーがあり、とても楽でしたが、混雑していると乗るまで時間がかかるかもしれません。
ホテル前のビーチも綺麗で良かったですが、魚は1匹も泳いでいなかったので、ここに来る価値はあるかと思います！

英語はほとんど話せませんが、翻訳アプリを使えば英語ツアーでも大丈夫だと思います！
また、たまたまかもしれないですが、日本語が通じる方も現地におりましたので、心強かったです！今度は天気のいい時に参加したいです！

I was really looking forward to snorkeling at Hanauma since it had the highest ratings, but I found that other places in Hawaii had more abundant fish and coral. The weather was sunny, and there was a bit of wind, but the visibility was only about 3 meters, and the coral close to the beach was almost dead. I thought, "Well, if tourists come here every day, this is what happens." I apologize for my honest opinion, but the water in Izu, Japan, is much clearer.

ハナウマが1番評価高かったので、シュノーケリング楽しみにしてましたが、同じハワイの他の場所の方が魚やサンゴが豊富でした。
天気も晴れて、少し風はあったのですが、3Mも視界はなくて、サンゴも砂浜から近い場所はほぼ死んでいたので「そりゃ、観光客がこんな毎日来たらこうなるよな」と思いました。
正直な感想でごめんなさい。日本の伊豆の海の方が全然透明度高いです。

We participated as a family of three, and instructors Chie and Dan provided a lot of thoughtful care, allowing us to enjoy snorkeling safely and comfortably. Thank you very much. It was great to see a sea turtle as well. The wetsuits had good buoyancy, making it easy to enjoy.

I wanted to go snorkeling in Hawaii, so I joined this tour. It was great that we could watch a video on the bus, allowing us to smoothly enter without waiting once we arrived. If you're traveling alone and find it difficult to make reservations, or if you won't be using a rental car during your stay, I recommend participating in this tour. There were Japanese staff members at the meeting point and after we arrived at the location, so I think it's easy for those who are not confident in their English to join. The snorkeling was wonderful, and I was able to enjoy the very clear ocean. There were many fish among the coral reefs on the left side!

ハワイでシュノーケリングがしたく、こちらのツアーに参加させていただきました。
バスの中で映像を見るので、着いてから待つことなくスムーズに中に入れたことが良かったです。
個人だと予約が取りにくいことや、滞在中レンタカーを使わない場合はこちらのツアーに参加されることをオススメします。
待ち合わせ場所や、現地に着いた後も日本人のスタッフの方がいらっしゃったので英語が苦手な方でも参加しやすいと思います。
シュノーケリングもとても透明感のある海でできてよかったです。左側の珊瑚礁の中には魚が沢山いました！

I participated in February 2026.

For the pickup, there was someone who understood Japanese, which made the check-in process smooth. The bus was a large tour bus with a clean interior. The video was in English, but there were Japanese materials available, which was helpful. Inside the bus, I received a wristband and entered under the guidance of the tour guide.

Since it was right after a state of emergency due to bad weather, I made the reservation at the last minute. The water was somewhat murky. Additionally, since it was a plan without a guide on the beach, I was a bit worried about whether I would see any fish, but it was more than enough! It was a lot of fun and became a precious memory!

I heard that making a reservation for entry on your own can be quite difficult, so choosing this plan with tickets was definitely the right decision!

2026年2月に参加しました。


行きのお迎えは、日本語のわかる方がいらっしゃってスムーズに受付することができました。
バスは大型の観光バスで清潔な車内でした。
ビデオは英語でしたが、日本語の資料があり助かりました。
バスの中で、リストバンドを受け取りガイドさんの案内のもと入場しました。

緊急事態宣言の悪天候の後だったので、直前に予約しました。水中は多少濁っていました。
また、ビーチ内のガイドのないプランだったので、魚が見れるか不安もありましたが十分でした！
とっても楽しく、貴重な思い出になりました！　

入場予約を自力でとるのは大変らしいので、チケット付きのこちらのプランで大正解でした！

Since it was a tour, we only watched the educational video on the bus, and we were able to go to the beach without having to stand in long lines or wait after arriving. The trolley was also free and very smooth. It was the best!

ツアーだったので、教育ビデオもバスの中で見るだけで、到着してから長々と並んだり待ったりせずに、海に行けました。トローリーも無料で、とてもスムースでした。

Friendly tour guides, excellent beach for snorkeling. All around good time.

The guide was very friendly and wonderful, and they took us snorkeling all around Hanauma Bay. However, considering the fee to enter the ocean, the water clarity was low, and there were only dull-colored fish, which was disappointing given my high expectations for snorkeling. It was the morning sea, after all... But the guide was amazing!

とてもフレンドリーで素敵なガイドさんで、ハナウマ湾をくまなく？シュノーケリングしてくれました。ただ、お金を払って入る海の割には透明度が低く、魚も地味な色の魚ばかりで、期待が大きかっただけにシュノーケリングは残念でした。朝いちの海なのに…。でも、ガイドさんは最高！でした。

**Positive Points:**
- If you have any questions before participating, you can get detailed information via email (as other participants had inquired beforehand).
- On the day of the event, photos from the activity are uploaded to Facebook, allowing you to download them at no extra charge (this was mentioned in reviews and communicated on the day, but it would have been reassuring if it was clearly stated on the website).
- Since the instructor is knowledgeable about Hanauma Bay, you can efficiently snorkel based on the previous day's information and the sea conditions of the day.
- After participating, you get a snack from a selection of snacks and a cold bottle of water (this was quite nice as it helped satisfy a bit of hunger).
- You can borrow a mat that resembles a mat, so you don’t have to sit on the ground.
- There were no additional charges for participating alone (some other tours do charge extra).
- Instead of being lured by the price into an English tour or a shuttle-only tour, going with someone familiar with Hanauma Bay made the snorkeling experience efficient and easy to understand (initially, I planned to join the English tour because it was cheaper).

**Areas for Improvement:**
- I had no complaints about my participation.
- As mentioned above, it would be reassuring if the website stated that you can receive photo data via Facebook.
- Especially in winter, it would be good to have a wetsuit rental plan available from the start (though Veltra might not be able to offer this option, carrying cash is becoming less common overseas, so it would be convenient to avoid searching for cash or exchanging money during participation).
- It would be very convenient if entry fees that must be paid in cash could be paid in advance, including the entry fee.
- It might be good to mention that there is a possibility of a multinational group rather than just Japanese participants (I was aware of this possibility from the reviews and had no resistance to participating in such a tour, but some people might assume it’s only for Japanese participants and feel dissatisfied).
- Since water is provided after participation, it’s a good idea to bring some water with you if you want to hydrate before the event.
- One hour goes by quickly, so a plan that allows for about two hours of swimming would be great.

I decided to participate the day before and submitted a reservation request on a whim, but I received prompt communication regarding the pickup time and location, which was helpful. On the day of the event, there were three participants, including myself, and we snorkeled in pairs. I hadn’t planned to borrow a wetsuit, but since the instructor, Chieko, mentioned she would be wearing a winter wetsuit, I borrowed one at the last minute. If I hadn’t borrowed it, I might have had to give up due to the cold, so I think it’s especially good to borrow one from the start in winter.

I believe there are multiple snorkeling tours at Hanauma Bay, but I was unsure about whether I would receive underwater photo data for this tour. Reviews mentioned that it could be downloaded via Facebook, so I participated with some apprehension, but they uploaded it afterward. As others have noted, you can’t press buttons on your phone underwater. I was able to take photos with a GoPro, but if you want to take pictures with your phone, you need to change the settings to use the side button for the shutter instead of the screen, which is not possible unless you do that. If that’s not possible, it’s better to give up on taking photos and enjoy the actual scenery. Also, since fish and sea turtles move, video is the most enjoyable format.

Although it wasn’t mentioned in the instructions, you can record underwater videos by timing it right: take your phone out of the water, press the record button, and then put it back underwater. To stop recording, take the phone out of the water again. If you want to record videos, that method is reliable.

・参加後に小腹が空くが複数のスナック菓子からお菓子が一つもらえ冷たい水がもらえる（少し小腹を満たせるためかなり嬉しかった）
・参加前にゴザみたいな感じのマットを借りれるので地べたに座らなくていい
・1人参加でも追加料金がかからなかった（ほかはかかるツアーもある）
・値段につられ英語のツアーや送迎のみのツアーに参加せず、ハナウマ湾に精通した人と一緒に行くことで当たり前だが効率的にシュノーケリングができわかりやすい（最初は安いため英語ツアーにする予定だった）
【悪かったというか今後に向けて】
・参加した不満はなし
・上にも記載したが、サイトにフェイスブックで写真のデータがもらえると記載があれば安心
・特に冬は最初からベルトラでウエットスーツ貸し出しプランがあればよいかと（ベルトラがその選択をできないかもしれないが、海外でも最近現金を持ち歩くことがあまりなく、参加時に現金を探したり両替せずにすむため）
・上とかぶるが絶対に入場料が現金で必要なら入場料込みで事前に支払いができたらとても楽
・日本人限定ではなく多国籍になる可能性があると記載があってもいいかなと思った（口コミを見てその可能性があるとわかっていたしそのようなツアーに参加することに抵抗もないが、人によっては日本人限定と思い込み不満に感じる人もいそう）
・水がもらえるのは参加後のため、参加前に水分補給をしたい場合は少し持参しておくとよい
・１時間はあっという間のため2時間ぐらい泳ぎっぱなしでもよかったためそんなプランがあればよいかと

前日に参加を決めダメ元で予約リクエストを入れましたがピックアップ時間や場所についてすぐ連絡を頂け助かりました。
当日は自分を含め二組の計3名参加でシュノーケリングは2名で行いました。
ウエットスーツを借りる予定はなかったのですが、インストラクターのちえこさんも冬用のウエットスーツを着用すると言っていたので急遽借りましたが借りていなければ寒さでリタイアしていた可能性もあったので特に冬は最初から借りておくと良いと思います。
また、ハナウマ湾のシュノーケリングのツアーは複数あると思いますが自分がこのツアーに参加するか迷った点が水中写真のデータがもらえるか分からなかった点です。
口コミにはフェイスブックでダウンロードできたと書いていたので恐る恐る参加したらあとでアップしてくれていました。
携帯はほかの方も記載していますが水中ではボタンを押せません。自分はGoProで撮影できましたが、携帯で写真を撮るには画面上ではなくサイドボタンでシャッター切る設定などに変更しない限り無理なのでそれが無理なら最初からあきらめ実際の光景を堪能すると良いと思います。また、魚やウミガメは当たり前ですが動くため動画が一番楽です。
案内にはありませんでしたが水に浮いたタイミングや携帯だけ海から出し動画の録画ボタンを押し水中に戻す→動画終了時は再度水中から携帯をだし動画を停止することで水中の動画を撮ることは可能です。もし動画を撮りたい人はその方法なら確実です。
参加者の年齢や経験の有無は運です。そして、その日の海のコンディションや場所によって見える光景もあるため短時間でポイントを押さえまわれるのは非常に効率がいいです。
ただ、正直１時間は短くもっと見たい気持ちはありました。（人によってはしんどいかも…）
また、ウミガメを見れなくても魚や海の中は十分綺麗です。参加した際には3匹ほど見れましたが全て運なので、見れたらラッキーと思って参加すると見れた時の喜びが倍増します！
最後に早朝と昼前のツアーがあると思いますが、次回自分が参加するならば早朝を選びます。早朝に参加し帰宅前には入場ゲートに渋滞が起きていましたが早朝ならそんなことはなくすぐはいれます。そして参加後にホテルで休憩し夕方から出かけたりできるため非常に楽に感じました！
また、ハワイに行くことがあればぜひ参加し体験したいツアーでした。参加を迷っている人は時期により満員とかで参加できない可能性もあるため、参加をお勧めします！

It's completely different from Waikiki Beach. It's a very beautiful beach. The water is clear, and there are a lot of fish. The size of the fish is quite large. Compared to the tropical fish in the southern seas of Japan, they are much bigger. You absolutely should go snorkeling here. There weren't many corals, but if you go to the rocky areas, you can definitely see fish. The beachside has sand and grass. You can relax if you lay out a mat. This tour takes you to the site in about 30 minutes from the center of Waikiki in a nice bus. They also show a video on the bus, so when you arrive, you can skip various procedures and go straight to the beach. I highly recommend it to everyone.

ワイキキのビーチとは全然違います。とても綺麗なビーチです。水も透き通っているし、魚も沢山います。その魚のサイズが大きいのです。日本の南の海の熱帯魚に比べて、全然大きいのです。ここでは、絶対にシュノーケリングを行うべきです。サンゴはあまり存在しなかったけど、岩場に行けば魚を確実に見ることができます。ビーチサイドは砂地と芝生です。シートを引けばくつろげます。このツアーは綺麗なバスで、ワイキキの中心地から30分くらいで現地まで連れて行ってくれます。バスの中でビデオも見せてくれるので、到着したら色々な手続きを省略して、すぐにビーチに行くことができます。皆様にお薦めです。

This time, I visited Hanauma Bay on this tour. We were able to smoothly board the bus from the meeting point, which made it easy to participate even as a first-time visitor. On the bus, a mandatory video was played before entering Hanauma Bay, which heightened our expectations before we arrived. The color of the ocean was more beautiful than I imagined, and I was moved by the clear waters and the natural scenery surrounding us. During snorkeling, I was able to see a variety of colorful fish even in the shallow areas, making it a place that even those who are not used to being in the water can enjoy.

I believe this tour is more efficient and provides a sense of security compared to going on your own, and I would especially recommend it to first-timers or those who want to make the most of their sightseeing time.

今回、こちらのツアーでハナウマ湾を訪れました。集合場所からスムーズにバスに乗って移動できたため、初めて訪れる場所でも安心して参加することができました。車内では、ハナウマ湾に入る際に視聴が必須のビデオが流れ、到着前から期待が高まりました。想像以上に海の色が美しく、透明度の高い海と自然に囲まれた景色に感動しました。シュノーケリングでは、浅瀬でも色とりどりの魚を見ることができ、海に入ることに慣れていない人でも楽しめる場所だと感じました。
個人で行くよりも効率的で安心感があり、初めての方や観光の時間を有効に使いたい方に特におすすめできるツアーだと思います。

I participated in an optional tour organized by Beltora that included tickets to Hanauma Bay and transportation. The organizer was Roberts Hawaii, a well-known company in Hawaii. Upon researching, I found out that they are the official provider for Hanauma Bay. The shuttle bus arrived right on time, and it was a large green bus with "Roberts Hawaii" written on it. Since the meeting point was in front of the ABC Store, I grabbed some rice balls and drinks before the gathering. Once we arrived, I learned that the food stalls were only located up top, and there wouldn’t be any food available once we went down to the beach.

When the bus arrived, the guide who was checking reservations got off. After confirming my reservation name, I boarded the bus. During the ride, the driver and the guide provided various explanations about Hanauma Bay and its rules. Since the guide spoke in English, I understood only about half, or maybe a third, but they were very cheerful, saying "Aloha!" and "Mahalo!" throughout. Fortunately, the important information about Hanauma Bay was detailed in the pre-printed voucher, so I felt reassured even though I didn’t understand everything in English.

At Hanauma Bay, we were required to use reef-safe sunscreen, and it was prohibited to drink alcohol, play ball, touch the coral reefs, or feed the fish. Interestingly, most of the other passengers on the bus were from English-speaking countries, and our group was the only one from Japan. There were many adults, seniors, and children, and the bus was nearly full, highlighting the popularity of the Hanauma Bay optional tour. In fact, I had tried to get tickets through the official Hanauma Bay website last year, but the reservations opened at 7:00 AM local time, which was 2:00 AM in Japan. I had logged in early and was ready with another person, but the time slot I wanted sold out in just a minute or two. While I was trying to change to another time, that one sold out too. I had to give up and ended up just taking photos of Hanauma Bay from above with the Lele Trolley, which made for a disappointing trip to Hawaii. At that time, I didn’t know that there were optional tours like this one.

Knowing about the optional tour this time, I booked it through Beltora, and it included tickets, transportation, and the ability to choose my preferred departure time! It was fantastic! I considered opting for a snorkeling package, but I learned that snorkeling and life jackets could be rented at a shop right by the beach, so I decided to go with this plan. It was also reasonably priced, which was great. The bus ride from the pickup point to Hanauma Bay took about 50 minutes, not even an hour. We picked up passengers from a few hotels before heading there. Besides the explanation of the rules, we also watched a video about Hanauma Bay during the ride. It seemed that everyone needed to watch this video to enter the bay.

When we arrived and got off the bus, there were Japanese staff members who checked if we had any questions, which was reassuring. Inside the bus, we were given wristbands from Roberts Hawaii, which I mistakenly put on my left hand instead of my right, but they helped me correct it. They also explained that if we wanted to delay our return bus, we could either call the number on the wristband or come directly to inform them.

As for entering the bay, since we had already watched the video, we showed our wristbands to Roberts Hawaii staff, and they let us through smoothly to the adjacent lane, while others were still in line for ticket purchases and the video. After passing through the entrance gate, we were taken down to the beach by a mini trolley. We could go back and forth freely. I quickly hopped on and went down to the beach. It was incredibly beautiful, and it was clear why it was protected for environmental conservation.

今回ベルトラさんの開催するハナウマベイチケット付き、送迎付きオプショナルツアーに参加しました。主催はロバーツハワイさんというハワイでは有名な？会社でした。調べてみたところハナウマベイの公式オプショナルになっている会社でした。迎えのバスの送迎も時間通りにぴったりバスがきました。ロバーツハワイと書いてある緑色の大型のバスでした。バスが来るまでに私はABCストア前の集合だったので集合前におにぎりやドリンクを調達しました。ついてからは売店は上の方にしかなく、海に降りてしまったら食べ物などか売っていないとのことでした。バスが到着して案内のガイドさんが降りてきました。予約の照らし合わせをしていました。その方に予約の名前を伝え確認がとれそこからバスに乗り込みました。行きの道中ではドライバーさんの他に先程の予約確認していた案内のガイドさんが、ハナウマベイの注意事項などさまざまな説明をしてくださっていました。英語の方だったので日本人の私には半分？もしかしたら3分の1くらいしかわからなかったですが、アロハ〜！マハロ〜！と終始明るい方でした。ちなみに事前のバウチャーにハナウマベイの注意事項は細かく書いてあったので私はそれを読んでいたので英語がわからなくてもあまり不安はありませんでした。ハナウマベイではリーフセーブの日焼け止めを使用することやお酒は飲んではいけない、ボール遊びをしてはいけないや、珊瑚礁に触れてはいけないや、魚に餌をやってはいけないなどなどです。ちなみにこの日のこのバスのお客さんは英語圏の方がほとんどで日本人は私達のグループだけでした。大人から年配の方、お子さんも多数いらっしゃりバスはほぼ満席でした。ハナウマベイオプショナルツアーの人気さを痛感しました。実際わたしも去年にハナウマベイの公式サイトでチケットを取ろうと試みたのですが、2日前からの現地時間でAM7:00に申し込みがスタートで日本時間ではなんと夜中のAM2:00でした。事前にログインし2人がかりでスタンバイ準備していましたが、ものの１.2分で行きたい時間がソールドアウトになってしまいました。仕方なく別の時間に変えようと携帯を操作している間にその時間も売り切れてしまったのです。泣く泣く諦めてレアレアトローリーでハナウマベイの上から写真を撮るだけに終わり残念なハワイ旅行となってしまいました。その時はこのようなハナウマベイオプショナルツアーがあることを私は知らなかったのです。今回オプショナルツアーがあることを知りベルトラさんで申し込みをしましたがチケットもついて送迎もついていて希望の出発時間も選べる！！最高です！シュノーケル付きのプランにしようかとも迷いましたがハナウマベイではシュノーケルやライフジャケットのレンタルが海の横のレンタルショップでできるとのことだったので今回はこのプランにしました。しかもそんな高くなかったし良かったです。バスで送迎場所からハナウマベイまでは50分？くらいで1時間もかからなかったです。3.4個のいくつかのホテルを回りピックアップしてそこから向かいました。注意事項の説明以外にもバスの道中ではハナウマベイのビデオ鑑賞もありました。ちなみにこれは見ないとみんなハナウマベイに入場できないみたいです。バスが到着してから降りるとそこには日本人スタッフがいました。わからなかったことはなかったかなど聞いてくれて安心しました。バスの中でロバーツハワイの腕に巻くチケットバンドみたいなものが配られて左手につけたのですが、これは右手につけないといけなかったみたいで私達は間違えており右手につけなおしてくれました。また帰りの集合場所はここに来てなど、あらかじめ予約していた帰りのバスをもし遅らせたい場合は腕のバンドにある電話番号に電話するかここに直接その旨を伝えにきてと説明を受けました。いざ入場なんですが私達はビデオ鑑賞もすでに見ているのでロバーツハワイさんの腕のバンドを見せるとすんなりとこちらどうぞと隣のレーンを通してくれました。他の方達はチケット購入やビデオ鑑賞を並んでいました。入場ゲートを通った後はミニトローリーで海がある下まで送ってくれます。行ききは自由でした。すぐに乗り海まで降りました。すごくキレイでさすが環境保護で守られているだけあると思いました。荷物を置いてシュノーケルとライフジャケットを借りにレンタルショップへ行きました。クレジットカード決済もできスムーズに借りることができました。返却は14:30が最終とのことでした。浅瀬で練習をし海の中に入ると珊瑚礁の合間にお魚さんいました。大きい魚や黄色い魚、ニモにでてくるドリー？みたいな魚もいました。ニモはいなかったですが夢中になり帰りの時間が早く感じて、帰り送迎を時間を遅らせてもらいました。迅速に対応してくれてすごく良かったです

Having the instruction manual in Japanese and staff who spoke Japanese made me feel very secure. They were also very accommodating with changes to the pickup time on the day, which was great.

日本語の説明書や日本語のスタッフがいてとても安心できた。当日の迎え時間変更も対応して下さりとてもよかった。
