It was a great ride! If you want to sit on top of the ferry and get a good view, be sure to get there early. We saw lots of whales on our way back from Lanai! Take a Dramamine if you get a little motion sickness and you won’t have any issues. The ferry was spacious and super easy to book online. We will definitely be going back to lanai using this service!

The staff were wonderful and went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable during the ride. It was whale season, so we saw many whales during the crossing. This was a good sunset sail. The sunset was a little cloudy, but we didn’t mind. The crew were all nice. I don’t think there was anything exceptional or spectacular about it, it was a pretty good time but not the best ever. Apps were typical catamaran level snacks- not anything fancy. But we enjoyed seeing the whales!

Boat was on time and boarding was easy. We went in January when their were a lot of whales in the channel. The captain slowed and drove the boat to maximized our whale viewing! Lovely day!! Get in line early for a top seat on the boat!

Maui All Stars Stargazing Tour & Haleakala National Park Sunset Experience

Amazing tour despite weather conditions

My girlfriend and I got to enjoy a private tour by Yoshi up Haleakalā, and I’ve rarely encountered a tour guide with such love for his profession and adopted home. Unfortunately it was very cloudy so we couldn’t see the stars, but Yoshi took us to a great pizza place and we chatted for several hours and learned so much about Japan and Maui. We will be back next time we’re in Maui and we will make sure it’s during the summer months for better weather conditions. I would strongly recommend taking a tour with him (and when given the option go for ice cream), as he will work so hard to ensure you have the greatest time.
Also don’t be too worried about it being cold, it was around 45F when we were there, and at least for me I was fine in a t-shirt.
