The whale experience was good and the boat met the needs of all. The whales weren't real "active" but that is nature!
The only issue I had was printing off the ticket voucher. We were in a condo with no print access so I had to ask a neighbour to print it after emailing it to them. Not sure how you fix this but it was a minor inconvenience.

I was worried about the time changes, but it turned out that as long as you can speak a little English, it's not a problem. I was able to see the whales up close, which was more than I expected, and it was truly moving. There were no Japanese people around, and there was no Japanese guide at all, but if you're just there to see, it's not an issue. I want to go again.

時間変更やらで、心配のはじまりでしたが、英語を片言でも話せれば問題ない感じ。予想以上にくじらは近くで見れたし感動です。日本人はいないし日本語のガイドは全くないが見るだけなら問題ない。また行きたいです

The whale watching plan at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel was a cozy experience, not on a large boat leaving from Lahaina Harbor, but rather on a smaller vessel that accommodates about 30 people. The tour guide, captain, and staff were full of hospitality, and they would bring you soft drinks and snacks for free upon request, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in whale watching.

While I saw several whales passing by, I was disappointed that there weren't any standout moments. However, in the latter part of the tour, I was thrilled to witness five consecutive breaches, which was incredibly moving.

You board the boat from Kaanapali Beach, so I recommend wearing clothes that are okay to get wet or something that covers your knees. You can park your car in the hotel’s multi-story parking lot. After the tour, if you get your parking ticket stamped at the beach kiosk, it's free, but you must submit the stamped parking ticket at the hotel entrance bell desk for the free processing when you leave. There are no attendants at the parking lot exit, so if you get stuck there, you might face honking from the cars behind you. Please be careful.

After our tour, we went shopping at the nearby Whalers Village before processing our parking ticket, which saved us some parking fees.

カアナパリビーチホテルのホエールウォッチングプランで、ラハイナ港から出る大きな船ではなく、３０名くらいしか乗船できないアットホームなプランでした。
ツアーガイドも船長もスタッフもホスピタリティ満載で、ソフトドリンクや軽食も頼めばフリーで持ってきてくれますので、鯨観察に没頭できます。
通りすがりの鯨は何頭も見たのですが、これといったシーンがなく残念に思っていた後半に、なんと５連続で鯨のブリーチングを見ることができ、大感動でした。

船には、カアナパリビーチから乗り込みますから、ひざ上位の服か、水にぬれてもＯＫという服装で参加したほうが良いと思います。
車は、ホテルの立体駐車場に停めます。ツアー参加後にビーチキオスクで駐車印を押してもらえばタダですが、車を出すときに、ホテル入口のベルデスクで駐車印を押したパーキングチケットを提出して無料処理をしてもらわないと出られなくなります。
駐車場出口の所には係員がいませんから、そこで立ち往生すると後続の車からブーイングです。ご注意ください。
我が家は、ツアー参加後に近くのホエラーズビレッジで買い物をしてから駐車券処理をしたので、駐車料金も浮きました。

I participated in the early bird plan with a discount, thinking it would be great if I could see whales. Just as I expected, I was able to see whales right in front of me, and fortunately, there was a whale playing in the area for about an hour, so I got to see tail splashes multiple times. I was a bit worried about parking in Lahaina, but thanks to the early morning plan, I could park freely in a nearby public parking lot. After whale watching, I was able to stroll through the streets of Lahaina, so I feel like I made good use of my day.

早起きプランで割引もあり、これで鯨が見られるのなら最高と思い参加しました。
期待通りに鯨を目の前で見ることができ、幸運なのか１時間位そのあたりで遊んでいる鯨だったので、テイルスプラッシュも何度も見ることができました。
ラハイナは駐車場だけが少し心配だったのですが、早朝プランのおかげで近くのパブリックパーキングにも停め放題で、鯨ウォッチングの後、ラハイナの街並みを散歩することもできたので、一日を有効に使えた気がします。

I booked a discount plan for an early morning departure. The hotel was close to the departure location, so I was able to walk there. I was able to see whales several times, of course!! The interior of the boat was spacious and very comfortable, it was the best. I definitely recommend whale watching when visiting Lahaina on Maui!! by Hicchan

The day we went it was very windy so we didn't get to Molokini but an alternate site -- they clearly wanted our trip to be enjoyable. The staff was upbeat and humorous. The snorkeling was great, much variety of fish and turtles did make an appearance.

I participated in the tour starting at 7:30. I read in someone's experience that we would receive drink tickets, but we did not get any. We were able to have coffee on the boat for $1. While it wasn't a constant stream, we were able to see quite a few whales and dolphins, which was great. I ended up sitting at the back on the second floor, but it would have been better to sit in the front for a clearer view, so that was a mistake.

7:30からのツアーに参加しました。
どなたかの体験談にドリンクチケットが貰えるとあったのですが自分たちはありませんでした。船上でコーヒーを$1で飲めました。
次から次とというわけではなかったですが、かなりコンスタントにクジラやイルカがみれて良かったです。
座席は2Fの後ろに陣取ってしまったのですが、前方の座席に座った方が見やすく失敗でした。

I returned home yesterday.
I participated in the OP starting at 7 AM.
I was able to see more than I expected.
The beautiful appearance from the back to the tail while diving and even the jumps.
I walked a bit to the parking lot, but I used the free parking and went shopping right after the OP.
What was disappointing was that only a few in my family understood English, so not everyone could grasp the explanations.

Also, during boarding, they took group photos, which are sold for $20 along with a CD containing pictures of the whales.
Get ready!

昨日帰国しました。
朝7時からのOPに参加しました。
思ったより見れましたよ。
潜るときの背から尾までのきれいな姿やジャンプまで。
駐車場は少し歩きましたが無料駐車場を利用し、OP後にそのまま買い物しました。
残念だったのは家族の内、英語を理解できるのが一部しかいなかったため全員が説明を理解できなかったことかな。

あと、乗船時にグループごとに写真撮影してくれて、クジラの写真が入ったCDと一緒に20ドルで販売されます。
心の準備を！

In December, the tour just started a couple of days ago. It was about a two-hour cruise, and we saw whales about three times in the distance. Although we didn't see many whales, the guide and the crew were kind, and above all, the sea was very beautiful, making for a pleasant cruise. It might be good to note that there are still fewer whales in December compared to January or February.

12月で、一昨日から今年のツアーが始まったばかりというタイミングでした。
二時間くらいのクルーズで、クジラは遠くに3回くらい現れました。
あまりクジラは見れませんでしたが、ガイドさんや船員の皆さんは親切で、何より海がとても綺麗で、気持ちいいクルーズでした。
1月や2月～に比べると、12月はまだクジラが少ないと注意書きがあっても良いかもしれません。

I'm really glad that I, someone who can't swim at all, was able to enjoy snorkeling without drowning! I had seen it on TV, but I never expected to see such beautiful fish right in front of me; it was truly moving! This time, I could only manage to put my face in the water, but if I get another chance, I definitely want to dive deeper. I encourage those who can't swim to give it a try as well! (laughs)

テレビで見た事はありましたが、あんなに目の前に綺麗な魚が実際に見れるとは思わず、とても感動しました！
今回はどうにか顔をつける事しか出来ませんでしたが、次回チャンスがあれば是非奥深く潜ってみたいな～と思えるような体験でした。
泳げない人も是非挑戦してみてはいかがでしょうか。笑

It was my first time snuba diving. Molokini was crystal clear and we could see everything. After the snuba dive we were allowed to snorkel some more. We then went to turtle town. I think the corals were spawning. The water was not very clear. But we did see some more turtles. On the way back we even saw some whales.
Wet suit and the second snuba dive price were not included in the voucher. I wish hawaiiactivities would collect these added fees up front rather than we pay in the boat.

It was a great adventure made fun with Crews humorous dialog!

It was early in the morning, but the boat was quite full. Surprisingly, there were whales nearby. We were able to see some very large ones and a couple of whales up close, and my wife, who saw them for the first time, was delighted.

朝早かったのですが、船はかなり一杯でした。意外と近くにクジラがいます。かなり大きいものや、カップルのくじらなど近くで見ることができ、初めて見た家内も喜んでいました。

We saw whales doing different things. We saw the tails and back of the whales as they swam and they were completely oblivious to us. I was hoping to see whales up close. But the state law does not allow the boat to get close. So they were not really that impressive from that far away.

I have never kayaked or snorkeled before. The kayaking was great the instructor/guide went over everything with us. I liked it so much I will start doing it here at home. My wife loved the snorkeling. I had a bit of an issue in the begging because I sink in water so once I put the life vest on I was good to go. I recommend a gopro camera for some unforgettable footage.

The activity was really well organised, the staff was very informative and knowledgeable, there was plenty of time for snorkelling. There was plenty of food and drink for everyone onboard.
We would have no hesitation in recommending this activity.

My family enjoyed this adventure a lot. All staffs are so friendly. Breakfast and lunch were so great. Will never forget this great experience.

There be amazing sights beneath the waves. What a wonderful experience for someone with bad claustrophobia (spelling it is the toughest part). You heard right you land lubbers, this terrific tour is truly for everyone. The crews are pleasant and very accommodating. Every part of the trip is safety first, and the underwater views are, well take a look. Enough said!

We had a great time on this adventure. It is suitable for all ages. It was great seeing what was on the ocean floor. The staff were very friendly. The snack provided was great. I would recommend this to everyone

My kids had a great time as did my husband, but I did not. I can swim, but am not used to deep water (35 feet) and the waves. I asked for an adult life jacket and was told to just hang on to the rope on the back of the boat. I should have asked another crew member as Tiffany and Jason were awesome, but the guy I asked at the back told me it wouldn't help. So I was left panicking at the back of the boat while my husband went out with my two young boys. In hindsight, bring your own life jacket if you or your kids need one to make sure it fits and works for you. I'm sure my boys will go again, but I'll stay on shore.

Saw some very interesting sea life; the "ocean piranhas" were crazy. Wished we could have seen the sea turtles up close.
Staff was very friendly and informative.

Had a great trip, enjoyed the time on boat and in water, saw great sights, lots of fish, turtles. Great sites, good food, drinks on board. Would recommend .

I had wanted to go snorkeling at Molokini Crater for a long time, but I never had the chance until now. This time, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for this tour.

When I arrived at the meeting point in the morning, a Japanese staff member was waiting, and I completed the check-in process. We took a commemorative photo (which was available for purchase after disembarking, but not many people bought it), and I was able to enjoy some coffee there as well. After boarding the boat and securing my seat, we gathered on the first floor for a briefing. The staff spoke a bit quickly, but it was reassuring to have someone from Japan there.

Upon arriving at Molokini, we put on our fins and entered the water. At first, I was scared, but the water was clear and beautiful, and I saw many fish. I gradually got used to it and started having fun. I was also able to see turtles and dolphins, which was very moving. However, it was disappointing to see someone chasing a turtle aggressively just to take photos.

After returning to the boat for lunch, we headed to the next turtle spot, but it was murky, and I couldn't see many fish. It was supposed to be a turtle spot, but I didn't see any turtles at all.

Having experienced the beautiful sea earlier, my excitement dropped a bit, but it couldn't be helped. I thought it would have been better to go to the turtle spot after Molokini.

Many people didn't see turtles during the snorkeling, and we ended by searching for turtles swimming in the sea. The staff was friendly, so I had a very enjoyable time.

以前からモロキニ島のシュノーケルがしたかったものの、なかなか機会がなかったのですが、今回は思い切ってこちらのツアーに申し込み、参加することにしました。

朝、集合場所に到着すると、日本人のスタッフが待機しており、手続きを済ませました。
記念写真を撮ってもらい（下船してから販売していましたが、買っている人はあまりいませんでした。）、そこでコーヒーも飲めました。
船内に乗り込み、座席を確保したら、１階に集合して説明を受けます。
スタッフは少し早口でしたが、日本の方がいるというだけで安心しました。

モロキニ島に到着すると、足ひれなどを装着して海へ。
最初は恐かったのですが、海が透き通っていてきれいで魚もたくさん見れ、段々慣れてきて楽しくなりました。カメやイルカも見ることができ、とても感動しました。
ただ、写真を撮りたいがためにカメをすごい勢いで追いかけている人がいて残念でした。

船に戻り、ランチを食べ、次のカメスポットに向かったのですが、こちらは濁っていてあまりお魚も見れず、カメスポットのはずが全くカメも見えませんでした。

先にきれいな海を体験した後だったので、少しテンションが下がりましたが、仕方がありません。
カメスポットに行ってから、モロキニに行った方がいいのにな～と思いました。

シュノーケル中にはカメが見れなかった人が多く、最後に海で泳いでいるカメを探して終了。
フレンドリーなスタッフだったので、とても楽しい時間を過ごすことができました。

A friend of mine recommended the Molokini Snorkel & Turtle Town Cruise. It was a first for all of us snorkeling and the crew set aside time to tell us what we needed to know. They did an excellent job and made sure they stayed close to the children. All equipment needed was available and demonstrated. The continental breakfast and lunch were very good and arranged in an appealing manner. The crew was very attentive to everyone on board. We had a great time and when we return, will definitely do it again....

I went on this ride several years ago and it was even better than I remembered. We got to see a sunken ship. We saw several different kinds of fish as well as a few sharks. We had a really good time. You can tell that the people who do this for a living really love their jobs! If you are going to Maui and do nothing else this is the one thing you ABSOLUTELY must take part in!

Wonderful experience finished with swimming with turtles. Equipment provided was good and staff were helpful and friendly.

It was too windy to go to Molokini so the boat took us to coral gardens. The staff was very friendly, underwater cameras available to rent for only 30$ with your pictures burned onto a cd for free. The lunch was very yummy and the boat was nicer than some of the others. I would recommend this snorkeling trip over others.

Correction: There have only been TWO afternoon snorkels in YEARS to Molokini. Due to the winds, they don't go out there in the afternoon. Coral Gardens is in a very windy location. Be prepared to be bopped up and down. A LOT. A much better location where you can see so many more different varieties of fish, and it won't cost you a dime, is Honokahua Bay. Northwest area. The coral is breathtaking, many many more beautiful colored fish to see. Turtles are there so you can snorkel with them as well.

If we got to do-over, our group voted to snorkel on our own in Honokahua Bay. The "glassbottom" portion of the catamaran was closed, so forget it. The lunch they cooked was awesome! But you can get an awesome lunch at any restaurant,right?

Skip the Snuba. Waste of money.

Not impressed with the views from this harbor. Pick a snorkel that departs from the northwest for better island views.

We were excited to try snuba for the first time as a family of five, but the boat rocked quite a bit, and one of the kids ended up with severe seasickness, so we couldn't really enjoy it in the end.

Both my husband and I can speak some English, so we thought we would be fine without a Japanese guide. However, we couldn't keep up with the explanations and jokes about snuba due to the loud engine noise on the boat, and we regretted that decision.

The visibility of the fish wasn't as good as we had hoped, and we were imagining schools of fish around coral reefs like we saw in the Philippines, so it didn't reach the level of being impressive for us. I think it would have been the same with snuba. (However, there were participants who were amazed, so this is a subjective impression.)

Also, the seawater was quite cold, and we felt very chilly after getting back on the boat, so thick towels and warm clothing are essential.

On a positive note, we finally got to see a sea turtle from the boat towards the end, which was rewarding! It was adorable.

So, for us, the satisfaction level wasn't very high this time, but that doesn't mean the tour itself was bad.

The staff were really kind, cheerful, and cool, and they were considerate of our seasick daughter, which made our experience very pleasant. Other participants also seemed to be having a great time.

If you're not worried about English and seasickness, I think you'll definitely enjoy it!

スヌーバに初挑戦しようと張り切って家族５人で参加しましたが、船がかなり揺れたため、子どもの一人がひどい船酔いになってしまって、結局それどころではありませんでした。

夫も私もある程度の英語はできるし、日本語のガイドさんがいなくても大丈夫かな？と思って参加したのですが、スヌーバの説明やジョークなど、エンジンの音がうるさい船上では全くついていけず後悔しました。

期待したほどに魚影も濃くなく、フィリピンで見た様なサンゴ礁に群がる魚群を想像していた私たちにとっては、感動というレベルではありませんでした。
スヌーバでも、それは同じだったのではないかと思います。
（でも、参加者の中には、スゴイ！と感激している人もいました。これは主観的な感想なので、なんともいえません）

また海水が結構冷たくて、船に上がってからとても寒かったので、厚手のバスタオルや防寒着は必携です。

でも、ウミガメには、終わりがけにやっと船の上から会うことができたので、報われました♪可愛かったです。


今回、そんな訳で、私たちにとってはあまり満足度は高くありませんでしたが、ツアー自体が悪かったわけでは決してありません。

スタッフのみなさんは本当に親切で明るく恰好よく、船酔いした娘にも気遣ってくれたり、とても気持ちよく過ごすことができました。ほかの参加者もみんな楽しそうでした。

英語と船酔いに心配がない方であれば、きっと楽しめると思います！

The clarity of the water is amazing!
My partner can't swim at all, but it seemed fun just to float and snorkel.

The attentiveness of the Japanese staff was excellent, and I was able to enjoy myself with peace of mind.

At the second spot, we encountered a sea turtle.
Next time, I want to go during whale season.

何と言っても水の透明度がすごい！
相方は全く泳げませんが、
プカプカ浮いてシュノーケルするだけでも楽しそうでした。

日本人スタッフの気遣いがとてもよく、安心して楽しめました。

２か所目のポイントではウミガメにも遭遇しました。
次回はクジラの季節に行きたいと思います。
