Maui
I used this ferry because it's easy to take a day trip to Lanai Island from Maui.
I recommend going to the Four Seasons Hotel, which is about a 10-minute walk from the ferry terminal.
The hotel grounds are very spacious, making it enjoyable to explore.
1. The gardens are like a tropical botanical garden, which is interesting for plant observation.
2. The sandy beach has great facilities, and it's pleasant to stroll around.
3. There are chairs available here for resting.
4. The staff is very friendly.
Be sure to experience this prestigious hotel.

Lanai is not well developed and roads are rugged so this is a good way to tour the island. Our driver and guide Ron knows the island very well and took us to places that I heard about but won't be able to reach by myself. He also told us the history and current state of the island. We learn and see a lot of the island via this tour.
Great guide and well organized trip. Friendly, helpful people and comfortable rides. Good connections.
Bruce was awesome. Swept us up at the marina and asked if there was something in particular we didn't want to miss. We were open to anything so off we went. Nice hidden beaches. Great views. Lots of places we could have never found (or wouldn't dared) if we were touring alone. Bruce was so informative and was just comfortable to be around. The only improvement would have been the 4x4 that was advertised. The Yukon we went around in wasn't the best ride and that's fine but all the advertisements showed a very different vehicle.
Thanks Bruce for a great day!!!
The captain and crew were exceptional. The snorkeling was awesome, we even got to swim with turtles. We found spinner Dolphins on the way to Lanai that were fun to watch. The BBQ was good, hot dogs and Hamburgers and the morning food was fruit and muffins/donuts. The water was warm and there was lots to see. The boat had a slide that was fun to slide down into the water (optional).
We had a wonderful tour of Lania with Bruce. He's so knowledgeable about Lanai and we learned quite a bit about the island, it's history, beauty, hidden spots and what's happening there. We truly enjoyed the day and appreciated the beauty of the island!
Must Go! One of the best snorkeling tour we've experienced.
I visited Lanai Island for the first time. There was a Hawaii I had never seen before, and it felt like being on a completely different planet. The guide only spoke English, but Bruce, our guide, spoke in clear English that was easy for us to understand, so we didn't have any trouble. He provided a lot of detailed information about the history of Lanai Island and its future, which was very educational. If you're going to Maui, I definitely think you should make the trip to Lanai Island!
Great captain, great boat, and great crew. This was a great family experience for us.
Nice co can, pleasant company, funny and friendly driver, lots of sites but doesn't feel rushed, worth it!
The tour was a great experience. Definitely learned a lot about the island and saw places we would have never found on our own. The only complaint my group had was the political commentary from the tour guide. He started early on referencing those "damn democrats" and a negative reference to ACLU. Being a group of very liberal people, we found it offensive but did not say anything for fear that he would not provide as good of a tour. This would have been a great experience without this extra commentary.
The day was spent in a most enjoyable way.
We started on time and went to first snorkeling spot after about one hour cruise. Since we left at 700 am, (early in the morning) they gave us good breakfast. The water is blue and beautiful. We saw some flying fish while sailing which I got amazed. They have wings(?!), come out of water, fly for about three feet above the surface and go into water. It was amazing to see a fish with wings. They clearly flew and not just jump in and out of water.
The captain gave a 5 min lesson on snorkeling 101. It was full of very helpful tips and this greatly helped to snorkel without fear. The gears were provided. By the end of the day I became an expert. This is an example, how useful the people are to help you whatever you need in the trip.
The snorkeling part was very enjoyable and after about one hour, we were allowed to jump into the ocean from the second level of the cruise ship via a slide. That was so cool.
Next we went to a second place and we got to see lots of turtles. Some turtles came to top of water, so you can see them from the boat. We snorkeled and also jumped into water from the second level of cruise via slide for about one hour. It was fun. Lots of foods, drinks were given. We returned by 200 pm. What a day to spend.
We had Garrett as our guide and learned so much about the island. It was a pleasure spending the morning with him. We had lunch at the Four Seasons resort and the view was amazing. We had the shrimp tacos and the Macai salad. Best lunch ever.
We had a great time on this cruise. Everything about it went basically as planned. We went to two different snorkeling spots where we had an hour or a little more to swim around checking out the coral reef and the marine life. In the beginning, they had a little breakfast that included muffins, fruits and different types of juice. After the first snorkeling spot, they made chicken breasts, hot dogs and burgers patties for lunch which were also very good. They didn't have KETCHUP!!! Which was a pretty big bummer, but the food was good and there was plenty of it. They also handed out bags of chips and pretty much everyone was able to get a second bag. The best part about the cruise was the dolphins that we saw. We spent about 20-30 minutes watching a pack of dolphins swim around and with out boat. They got up so close, it was amazing. My nephew and I sat at the front of the boat and actually got yelled at by the captain, but it was definitely worth it because my feet were about 10 feet away from touching the dolphins they were so close. Then at the last snorkeling spot, we got to swim with sea turtles (only noticed one when I was swimming but it did get pretty close), and a 6 foot long shark that was laying underneath the wreckage we were snorkeling above. It was pretty awesome and scary all at the same time. The shark was sleeping (or dead) because it didn't move and there was no danger, but I still didn't want to take my eyes off him! The boat provided the snorkel equipment including the liquid to keep your goggles clear. There is also a slide that goes off the side of the boat which was really fun to go off of! The crew ended the cruise with a free alcoholic beverage for each adult over 21 years old, and it was very tasty and had a lot of alcohol in it! I believe this was well worth the money.
Maui was my first solo trip. I love snorkeling, and I felt like I could enjoy it alone, so I decided to go for it. Since it was May, it was bright, and I couldn't see the sunrise... I stayed in Lahaina, so I scouted the meeting place the day before and found it easily. The weather was great all day, and during the cruise, it felt nice. The cinnamon rolls that everyone recommended were delicious (though I got a bit tired of them halfway through...), and there were sandwiches that looked tasty, but I thought I shouldn't eat too much. The snorkeling was amazing; I got to see lots of fish! It was fun (^_-)-☆ I also joined an island tour, and we traveled around in a van! English was quite difficult, but I enjoyed the peaceful Lanai Island and highly recommend it. When we returned, it was lunchtime with salad, yakisoba, BBQ chicken, and so on. Well, it was just ordinary taste. There were no other solo travelers, and no Japanese people, but I still had a great time! The return trip was quite bumpy, but that was fun too. It got better once we raised the sails! I only had one beer. One of the crew members remembered my name, so I didn't feel lonely at all. I splurged on the boat dive and went to Lanai Island, and I'm glad I did (・ω・)ノ
This was a fun boat trip for the family. The captain was knowledgeable and we saw many dolphins. That was probably the highlight of the trip. Due to rougher waters, we snorkeled in some different areas than normal. One was one a reef off of Lanai and the other was over a ship that had been sunk in deeper waters. The reef was Okay, but we saw more fish and more variety of sea life snorkeling off the beaches. The ship was too deep to dive to so pretty much we were just floating above it. The breakfast and lunch was good and there was plenty of food.
It was a great ecperience. The driver was very knowledgeable and showed us all the important sites. It would have been nice if the shuttle from Lanai City to the dock would have been included. Never the less, it was a beautiful place to visit.
I traveled from Oahu to Maui, then to Lanai, and back to Oahu. It was a trip to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary, visiting places filled with memories. There are no direct flights from Maui to Lanai since they are close together. Taking a route via Oahu would take an outrageous amount of time and money. This ferry is inexpensive and offers about an hour of travel. The journey while enjoying the surrounding islands, blue skies, and blue seas was very pleasant.
During my recent trip to Maui, I took a day trip to Lanai, a place I had always wanted to visit. Since there weren't any tours to Lanai that fit my plans, I used the ferry that departs from Lahaina Harbor. There is a paid shuttle available at the port of Lanai, which I used to explore Lanai City and the Four Seasons Hotel. Next time, I definitely want to stay on Lanai and enjoy a more leisurely visit.
Awesome trip! We saw lots of dolphins!
Lunch was delicious. The captain was very knowledgeable!
Gary, our tour guide, was fun and very knowledgeable about the island he grew up on and shared with us. Good time and good company.
My husband, my sister and I just got back from Maui yesterday. The highlight of our week-long vacation was our trip to Lanai and our tour with Bruce. We have been sharing our wonderful experience with the family. The trip is well worth the price and Bruce gave us lots of information about the island. Lots of fun!
Although pretty expensive...this was an enjoyable outing! Very impressed with Hawaiian Airlines...We're mainlander's so it was our first time to fly with them. Our tour bus driver (just call him ED) did a great job and gave us a lot of great back ground information on each exhibit. It was a long day, but we can recommend this tour...
Ferry ride included whale watching going and coming. The tour guide was excellent as a long time resident who knew every corner of lanai. Best way to spend a day. This was our first trip to this island.
We thoroughly enjoyed Bruce, his knowledge of the island was terrific. BTW, you can see Oahu from Molokai on a clear day.
I was allowed to make a time change on my return time to Maui. The process was smooth and employees were polite.
We had a great time and would definitely do this again. Staff was fun and friendly knowledgeable. Great time!! Would recommend this to anyone thinking about doing this while in Maui.
Nice experience, I will use again for the next trip.
Nice experience, I will use again for the next trip.
This tour was amazing and our tour guide was so fun! His name was Ernie. One thing people need to understand is that Pearl Harbor is a memorial to fallen men, not a loud tourist attraction! Be respectful.
We learned so much history. We highly recommend this tour.
