No matter how many times I tried, I participated with a flutter of excitement in the face of bad weather posts.
It seems that Haleakalā accepted us, as the sunset sky transformed into a beautiful gradient.
Under the new moon, the stars scattered across the night sky looked like unspoken diamonds.
It’s a perspective on life that makes me feel like I need nothing! I proudly shared that I received a treasure with everyone.

新月の中、ことばにならないダイヤモンドを、夜空にちらばしたような満点の星
（なにもいらねえ)って思える人生観！宝物もらったことを、みんなに自慢しました。

This was definitely one of our favorite activities we did on Maui! We took the scenic route from Lahaina to get to the ranch and it was well worth it. The staff was fantastic , the horses well taken care of and a gorgeous ride with a view from every angle.

This was my third participation in two consecutive years. I joined last March and, due to bad weather, I only paid for the lunch box to try again, and this time is my third.

Last time, the sunset was very beautiful, but there were few stars because it was close to a full moon. This time, although I couldn't see the sunset due to bad weather, the starry sky was magnificent near the new moon! I was moved by how many stars there are.

While sitting outside, Mr. Yamauchi explains the stars and shares various stories, but he tends to speak quickly during the star explanations, which is quite disappointing for participants who are not familiar with stars. Since the stars are so beautifully visible, I think it would be a better experience if we could listen to the star stories more slowly and remember them to take home.

二年連続、三度目の参加でした。
昨年の３月に参加し、悪天候のため滞在中にお弁当代のみで再挑戦、そして今回が三度目。
前回はサンセットがとても美しく見えましたが満月近くで星の数が少なく、今回は悪天候でサンセットは見られなかったものの、新月近くで満天の星空！
星ってこんなにあるんだなぁ…と感動しました。

屋外でイスに座って山内さんが星の説明や色々なお話しを聞かせてくれますが、星の説明の時に早口になってしまうのは星に詳しくない参加者にはとても残念です。
せっかく綺麗に星が見えているので、星のお話をもっとゆっくり聞いて覚えて帰れたら、よりよい体験になると思います。

This was my first time in Hawaii.
I only participated in this optional tour.
The sunset went by in an instant, but the 360° view of the horizon during sunset was breathtaking!
The starry sky in Maui was filled with so many stars, so close that it was dazzlingly beautiful.
However, what made this tour great was not just the sunset and the starry sky.
It was the guidance of our friendly guide and the drive to the summit of Haleakalā!
I learned a lot about Maui, and the guide helped me when I was struggling with English at the hotel.
Honestly, without this person, my enjoyment of Maui might have been halved (laughs).
And the drive to the summit, which I never even thought about... was so much fun!
We drove above the clouds! I never imagined that (laughs).
The wonderful scenery and the guide's stories made for an enjoyable drive!

However, one thing I thought I should be careful about next time is to take it easy on the day I arrive in Hawaii and rest my body.
I couldn't sleep much on the flight there and was sleep-deprived.
If you want to enjoy Hawaii 100%, I think it's best to have a relaxed schedule on the first day.

はじめてのハワイでした。
オプショナルツアーは、こちらだけ利用させていただきました。
サンセットはあっという間でしたが、360°ほぼ地平線のサンセットは、圧巻でした！
マウイの星空も、すごくたくさんで、すごく近くて、目がおかしくなるほどの美しいキラメキでした。
ですが、このツアーの良かったところは、サンセットや星空だけでありません。
それは、親切なガイドさんの案内や、ハレアカラ山頂までのドライブです！
マウイのことを、いろいろ教えていただきましたし、ホテルでも英語がわからなくて困っているところを助けていただきました。
ほんとうに、この方がいなければ、マウイの楽しさは半減していたかもしれません（笑）
そして、考えてもいなかった、山頂までのドライブ。。。楽しすぎでした☆
車で、雲の上にいくのですから！そんなこと、思ってもいませんでした（笑）
素晴らしい景色と、ガイドさんのお話で、楽しいドライブになりました！

ただ、次回は気をつけようと思ったのが、
ハワイに着いた日は一日ゆっくりして、体を休めることです。
行きの飛行機では、あまり寝ることができず、寝不足でした。
ハワイを100％楽しむなら、一日目はゆとりのあるスケジュールがいいと思います。

Although the weather was bad on the day, I insisted on having our guide, Yamapi, take us to various places. Along the way, we stopped at a power spot, and enjoyed Lolee's Shave Ice and Blackjack, which were a lot of fun.

Thank you, Yamapi, for being so flexible and accommodating. I definitely want to come back again.

当日天候が悪くてハレアカラには行けなかったけど、無理を言ってガイドの山ピーにいろんなところに連れて行ってもらいました。
途中、パワースポットによったり、ロリーンのシェイブアイスやブラックジャック楽しかったです。

臨機応変に対応してくれた山ピーありがとうごさいました。
是非また来たいと思います。

Yamapi's quick and efficient guidance was absolutely fantastic. After various experiences in our family, this trip with three women is off to a great start. The donuts, which are not available in Japan, and the various spots on Haleakalā are highly recommended. The story that encouraged us to give it another try really touched my heart. I want to come back and participate again. Thank you to Yamapi and the other participants for the wonderful time. I'm looking forward to the next Hawaii Love event. I'm really glad I came! \(//∇//)\

Very friendly staff, and great views of a spectacular landscape.

The scenery was beautiful! Our tour guide was a local who shared her knowledge of the flora and fauna. The hike is not difficult but can be challenging in places. Wear good shoes! The waterfalls were spectacular and their pools provided a welcomed opportunity to oool off.

Absolutely, absolutely, absolutely recommended!
It was super fun, wonderful, and the best! ☆
I just wanted to stay warm, so I layered on some random clothes to participate, but... I really regretted that we looked so uncool when we could have taken so many beautiful photos (laughs).
Ah! But it was truly amazing! The starry sky was incredible! Thinking back, the emotions from that time come flooding back and I feel like crying (;_;)!

Horseback riding in Hawaii, whether on Oahu or here on Maui, is truly relaxing. After a brief lesson on basic horse handling, we got to ride. I think there was an explanation before we mounted, but I couldn't catch it in English. Suddenly, the horse took off with a shout of "Alright, let's go! Hold on to the reins and saddle tight, GO!" I clung on for dear life, probably for just a few seconds? Afterward, the cowgirl asked me, "How was it?" and when I replied, "I was a bit surprised," she burst out laughing (^ - ^).

But the scenery was amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed the leisurely horseback ride. The friendly cowgirl took quite a few pictures for us too♪ I recommend wearing clothes that you don't mind getting a bit dirty, as there will be dust.

オアフ島しかり、ここマウイ島しかり、ハワイの乗馬はほんとに気楽。
ごくごく簡単な馬の操作をレクチャーの後乗ります。
乗る前の説明があったのか？英語が聞き取れなかっただけだと思いますが、途中で「さあ走るよ！手綱と鞍しっかり掴んでね、GO!」といきなり馬が走り出します。
必死にしがみついて、多分数秒ぐらい？
走ったあと、カウガールに「どうだった？」と聞かれ「ちょっとびっくりした」というと大笑いしてました(^-^)

でもまあ景色は最高！のんびり乗馬を存分に楽しめました。
写真もけっこう何枚も撮ってくれて、気さくなカウガールでしたよ♪
土煙で汚れるので、少し汚れてもいい服装で行かれることをお勧めします。

Our tour guide Sonya was absolute amazing, so knowledgable und very nice.
Also we learned so much about the history of Hawaii. Her friendliness made it to the best events we did on Maui. We would absolutely do it again!

I was very impressed by the story shared by Mr. Yamauchi, which made me re-recognize the fact that I am alive here now. I was also moved by his admirable way of living. I wish him continued good health and even more success for the sake of travelers from Japan. The starry sky and the Milky Way were beautiful. Since there were only a few people (5) in one car, we could take our time, which was nice. The bento was just okay... maybe the food at Mauna Kea was tastier... It became a wonderful memory. I travel to Oahu every year, but this was my second time on Maui. This time, my goal was to see the stars at Haleakalā. I received polite replies to detailed inquiries about the probability of seeing the stars via email in advance, which made me feel at ease despite the nature of the experience. However, due to a dispute in the U.S. Congress, we couldn't reach the summit (3055m) and had to view the stars from around 2000m at the entrance. Nevertheless, the night sky and the stars were incredibly beautiful, and I felt the smallness of myself in the universe. Above all, I was moved by the storytelling and presentation by the owner, Mr. Yamauchi. There may be a relationship between the tour company and guests, but the thoughtful attention to detail allowed us to relax and enjoy the short time we had. From the hotel pickup at 3 PM to heading to Haleakalā, we stopped at places like tea time and gift shops that individuals wouldn't typically visit. I want to go again next year! I highly recommend this tour to everyone; it’s a life-changing experience. ...Studying the stars in advance might make it even more enjoyable.

毎年オアフ島へは旅行で行ってますが、マウイ島は２回目。今回はハレアカラの星を見るのが目的でした。事前にメールで見られる確率は何パーセントだのなんだの細かい問い合わせにも丁寧な返信をいただき、自然相手にもかかわらず安心して行ったのですが、米国議会の揉め事で山頂（3055ｍ）まで行けず、入口の2000ｍ付近での鑑賞となりました。しかし、夜空も星も素晴らしくきれいで、宇宙の中の自分の小ささを感じました。何よりもオーナー山内さんの語り、演出に感動です。ツアー会社とゲストとの関係はあるかもしれませんが、短い時間に気持ちを和ませて参加できる、細かい心配りは最高でした。ＰＭ３時にホテルピックアップからハレアカラに向かうまで、ティータイムやギフトショップなど個人では行けない場所へも立ち寄ってくれます。来年も又行きたい！そして、皆さんにも是非参加いただきたい、人生観が変わるツアーです。・・・事前に星を勉強していくと一層楽しいかも。

Very informative and interesting. Only suggestion would be to include water shoes in the items to bring as the waterfalls are very rocky on the bottom and hurt your feet.

I was looking forward to visiting the summit of Haleakalā, but I couldn't enter due to a stop by the U.S. government, and now I don't know why I even went. It's really disappointing and frustrating since it's not a trip I can make often.

楽しみにしていたハレアカラ山頂にアメリカ政府のストップで入山出来ず何しに行ったのか分かりません。そうそう何度も行ける旅行ではないので物凄く残念で口惜しいです。

I participated because I wanted to feel the stars and nature. The stars were wonderful, but I was also able to feel the sun, earth, light, and shadow, and it made me realize once again how amazing it is to be alive. I want to live each day with gratitude as a part of the nature that breathes alongside me. Additionally, the guide was great. There was a slight sense that he was immersed in his own world, but his desire to ensure the guests enjoyed themselves was clearly conveyed. I believe he is someone who lives with pride and does not hesitate to put in effort. I was very moved. I want to express my gratitude.

星と自然を感じたくて参加しました。星も素晴らしかったですが太陽・地球・光・影を感じることができ、生きているって素晴らしいと改めて思いました。そして自分も呼吸する自然の一部として、毎日を感謝しながら生きていきたいと思いました。更にガイドさんが良かった。若干ご自分の世界に入り込んでいる感はあったのですが、それを含めてゲストに楽しんで貰おうという気持ちは充分伝わってきました。きっと誇りを持って努力も惜しまず生きている方なのだろうと思います。とても感動しました。ありがとうございましたと伝えたいです。

I participated in the tour on September 24 (Tuesday). It was a "Happy Vacation!" with just the two of us girls. The stargazing was amazing! The Milky Way, which I saw for the first time, was truly beautiful, and just looking at it made me feel so happy!! After moving to Oahu, I still can't forget Haleakalā. The stargazing in Maui is indeed wonderful!

I really resonated with what Mr. Yamape said: "Since our customers have come all the way here, I want to do everything I can for them." I believe that having a sincere attitude towards customers is truly important in any job.

With the countless sparkling stars we saw in Maui in our hearts, I hope to spend each day feeling happy. Thank you so much!! I will definitely go back to Maui to see the stargazing again☆

9/24(火)のツアーに参加しました。Happy Vacation!ということで、女子2人での参加です。
天プラ、最高でした！初めて見た天の川が本当にとてもキレイで、見ているだけで幸せな気持ちになれました！！オアフ島に移動してからも、ハレアカラが忘れられません。やはりマウイ島の天プラは素晴らしいですね！
山ピーさんのおっしゃっていた、「お客様がせっかくここまで来てくれたのだから、できる限りのことはしたいと思っている」という言葉と姿勢にとても共感しました。どんな仕事でも、お客様に対して、真摯に接する姿勢は本当に大切だと思っています。
私たちも、マウイ島で見た、無数のきらめく星たちを心に、毎日を幸せな気持ちで過ごしたいなぁと思います。

We love Hokulea!!

We used this service for our honeymoon. I was actually looking for a sunrise at Haleakalā online, but unfortunately, all the dates were fully booked, so I had to change to a sunset. Among various options, this was the only one available, and I was glad to secure a reservation, eagerly looking forward to the day. The guide was fantastic, and I was overwhelmed by the number of stars I had never seen before. I saw the Milky Way, Orihime and Hikoboshi, and a shooting star for the first time in my life. I had never been interested in stars before, but it was truly moving. My husband and I were really satisfied with the sunset! Thank you very much!

新婚旅行で利用させてもらいました。本当はハレアカラのサンライズを見たいとネットで探していました。しかしサンライズは時期的にどの日程もいっぱいで予約がとれず、仕方なくサンセットに変更して探していました。色々探した中で唯一空きがあり、予約がとれて良かったと思い、当日を楽しみに待っていました。ガイドの方もすごく良かったし、今まで見たことのない星の数に圧倒されました。天の川とか織姫彦星、人生で初めて見た流れ星、今まで星なんて全く興味なかったんですが、感動しました。主人とサンセットで良かったね！ってすごく満足しました！

I enjoyed the ride very much. It is a very beautiful ranch to see. I recommend taking the morning ride (the one we took), since it does get very hot as the day goes on. My horse was a very good follower and listened good. Our guild was fun, information, and funny. If we needed any kind of help he was right there when you asked. He also was a very good photographer for all of us when we stop to take pictures. I would also recommend being in the front so it isn't so dusty. I was in the back and got dusted out a few times so I just kept my distance from the person in front of me and it was fine after that. Did I mention how beautiful the views were? Also, the drive there seems like you've gone too far but you can't miss the gates with the Mendes Ranch name on it. Small parking lot so park by the entrance, for easy exiting. The whole staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely do this again!

At the end of December last year, we visited Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon. I wanted to see the sunset, so I requested to join the Haleakalā tour in Maui. When I called the hotel, they informed me that the weather was going to be tough... But both my husband and I wanted to go regardless of whether we could see anything! That was our answer. When I conveyed this, they replied, "Of course."

On the day of the tour, they picked us up, took us to the post office, and brought us to a yogurt ice cream shop. Since it was just the two of us, we had great conversations, and there were plenty of bathroom breaks. Despite being told that the chances of seeing the sunset were slim, we were able to see it! At the summit, we took wonderful photos, and on the way back, we were treated to warm tea, a bento box, and they provided chairs, blankets, and jackets for us. When I looked up, the starry sky was breathtaking, and I couldn't help but shed a few tears.

My husband, who is shy, also seemed to have a great time talking. Even though it was a tour, it felt very personal, as if we were being taken around by someone close to us. We are expecting a child in November this year, so we would like to join again as a family of three. Please take care of yourselves until then and continue the tours. Thank you very much!

昨年の12月末にマウイ島とオアフ島を新婚旅行で訪れました☆
サンセットが見たくて、私のリクエストでマウイ島のハレアカラツアーに参加しました。ホテルから電話すると、お天気が厳しいとのお答えが…
でも、私も主人も来たからには見えなくても行きたい！それが答えでした。その旨を伝えると、もちろんとのお返事が。
当日、お迎えに来ていただき、郵便局へ行ったり、ヨーグルトアイスのお店へ連れていっていただいたり、私達２人の貸しきりだったので、お話もとっても弾み、途中のトイレ休憩もたくさんあり、ほぼ望みは薄いといわれてたサンセットも見ることが出来、山頂では素敵な写真も撮って頂き、帰る途中では温かいお茶に幕の内弁当に、椅子にブランケットにジャケットを用意していただき、見上げれば満点の星空☆勝手に涙が出てきました。

人見知りの主人もお話出来たこととてもいい思い出だったみたいです。
ツアーなのにツアー感を感じず、とっても身近な方に連れていって頂いてる感じでした。
今年の11月に子供が生まれるので、今度は３人で参加したいと思います。
その時まで体に気をつけてツアー続けて下さいね。

Our guide Ed was very informative throughout the tour. I would recommend taking a tour rather than driving it, the bus drivers know the roads well so you feel safe. Other people have mentioned it was a bumpy ride but i didnt think so. There is nothing much in Hana itself, its more the journey getting there, great scenery...

We participated as a family with our children (ages 8, 10, and 12). After a brief explanation, we immediately started trekking on horseback, one by one.

We went down steep slopes and galloped up, just moving forward continuously.

The horses were very calm and experienced, so it was probably fine, but I must admit I was a bit anxious at first. However, the children seemed to enjoy themselves wholeheartedly without any fear. By the end of the one-hour trek, I was completely relaxed and able to enjoy it as well.

The guides were all cheerful and friendly, which made it fun. They even spoke a little Japanese.

Overall, it was an incredibly enjoyable experience with the stunning backdrop of the ocean in Maui!!!

子どもたち（８、１０、１２歳）と一緒に家族で参加しました。
ちょっとした説明のあと、すぐに一人ずつ馬に乗ってトレッキングを開始。


山の急斜面を降りたり、駆け上がったり、とにかくどんどん進みます。


馬はとってもおとなしくて、慣れているので大丈夫なのでしょうが、さすがに初めは少し不安でした。でも、子どもたちは怖がることもなく、３人とも心から楽しんでいたようです。
私も１時間のトレッキングが終わるころには、すっかりリラックスして楽しむことができました。

ガイドさんもみな陽気で感じがよく、楽しかったです。日本語もちょっと話してくれます。


とにかく、マウイの海の絶景を背景に、最高ッに楽しい体験でした！！！

Initially, we considered driving there ourselves, but choosing this tour was definitely the right decision!

The hiking trail was longer than we imagined, so driving would have been tough, but more importantly, the owner of Maui All Stars, Mr. Yamauchi, was fantastic.

I was torn between sunrise and sunset, but considering the clarity of the air, he strongly recommended sunset! We were able to enjoy the starry sky at a leisurely pace.

Mr. Yamauchi is very knowledgeable about the stars and provided various telescopes, big and small. He shared interesting and engaging stories that entertained both kids and adults.

The heartfelt services, such as the background music during stargazing, chairs, bento boxes, and warm tea, left us truly impressed.

He was also skilled with digital cameras and made thoughtful arrangements for our photos. We got some amazing shots at the summit!

In any case, if you're going to Haleakalā, I highly recommend participating in this tour.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to do it once more.

当初、自分たちで車で行くことも考えていましたが、このツアーにして大正解でした！


登山道は想像以上に長い道のりだったので、運転はつらかっただろうという理由もありますが、それ以上に、マウイオールスターズのオーナーのヤマウチさんは素晴らしかったからです。

サンライズかサンセットかで迷っていたのですが、空気の澄み具合を考えると、絶対サンセットがおすすめ！とのことでした。星空もゆっくり楽しめました。

ヤマウチさんは星空に大変詳しくて、大小様々な望遠鏡を用意してくれた上、子どもたちも大人も楽しめるように、丁寧で面白いお話を聞かせてくれました。

星空観測の時のＢＧＭや椅子、幕の内弁当やあたたかいお茶など、心のこもったサービスで感激しっぱなしでした。

デジカメの扱いにも精通していて、いろいろ配慮して撮影してくれました。
山頂では、驚きの写真も！

とにかく、ハレアカラに行くなら、ぜひ参加してほしいです。

私も、もしまたマウイに行くことがあったら、もう一度行きたいです。

It was advertised as a BBQ lunch included, but even though the morning group started their lunch, I was never called over and ended up just watching with my fingers crossed...

My shyness and lack of confidence in English held me back, and in the end, I ended up riding without lunch.

Fortunately, the horseback riding experience was very satisfying.

I hope that in the future, there won't be any more situations like this for Japanese people.

BBQランチ付きとの名目でありましたが
午前の団体がランチを開始したのにもかかわらず
いつになっても声がかかることなく
指をくわえて眺めている形に・・・

引っ込みじあんであるのと
英語に自信がないのとが足を引っ張る形となり
結局、ランチなしの乗馬となってしましました。

幸い、乗馬の内容はとても満足でした。

今後このような日本人が発生しないよう願います。

I participated on July 27. As the sunset approached, the twilight turned into pitch darkness, making it so dark that I couldn't see my feet at all.

However, when I looked up, there was a sky full of stars... I enjoyed a stargazing walk while listening to Mr. Yamauchi's commentary (*^_^*).

I will definitely participate again next time (＾◇＾).

About eight years ago, I participated in a stargazing tour. As I was visiting Maui again after a long time, my entire family unanimously wanted to join once more, so we made a reservation.

On the day of the tour, there were some thin clouds, and I was worried about whether we would be able to see the stars, but when we looked up at the observation point, we were greeted with a sky full of stars. The beauty of the stars seen through the telescope was, of course, breathtaking, but I was truly moved by Mr. Yamauchi's explanations and stories.

During dinner, there was a question about what food you would want to eat as your last meal in life, and I can say without hesitation that if I could only visit one place before I die, it would be to see this starry sky. Of course, with Mr. Yamauchi's explanations... Thank you!

8年ほど前に参加させていただいた星空観測ツアー。久しぶりにマウイを訪れるにあたり、家族全員一致でもう一度参加したいとの思いで予約しました。
当日は若干うす雲が広がり、星空が見えるかどうか気がかりでしたが、いざ観測地点で見上げると一面の星空。
天体望遠鏡を通じてみた星々の美しさはもちろんでしたが、山内さんの解説や話の内容にただただ感激のひとときでした。

On July 14th, which was exactly between the new moon and the full moon, we were able to see a wonderful sunset with no wind. This was my second trip to Maui, and I traveled with my family (including my 87-year-old mother), but this tour was attended by my six siblings. Since we used a car for the entire itinerary, there wasn't much walking involved, and I thought my mother could have joined us. I was moved by the amazing sunset and the romantic starry sky, and I was very satisfied with the explanations and personality of our tour guide, Yamapi. I would like to participate again during the new moon next time. I absolutely recommend it.

サンセットを見ることができました。今回マウイは二回目、旅行はファミリー（８７歳の母を含む）でいきましたがこのツアーは兄弟姉妹６人で参加しました。全行程車利用でしたのでそんなに歩くところもなく、これなら母も参加すればよかったと思いました。素晴らしいサンセットとロマンあふれる星空に感動、ツアーガイドのヤマピーさんの説明や人柄等とても満足のいくものでした。次回は新月の時にまた参加したいと思っています。

Great activity to do with a family, my 14 yr old son had a great time jumping off the waterfalls. Very fun and informative. Had Jeremy as a guide, he was wonderful.

Had an awesome time riding! Our guide Butch was very helpful on explaining how to ride for us beginners. He also gave us history about plants and the island! Thanks so much! Will do again next time we go to Maui!!!
