Maui
The activity was worth our time and money. We saw whales and the naturalists on board were excellent sources of information.. We loved hearing whale song!
Wonderful time and a enjoyable trip over on the ferry. Our shuttle driver, Cory. Was great.
Our time with Trilogy was nothing less than spectacular! The crew was so nice and beyond accommodating! Had the best time ever!!
The wife and I had an excellent time, we did our ride the night before our wedding. The crew was a delight, they made some wonderful food, excellent drinks, and the service was astounding! Lastly the professional photographer was extremely appreciated, we bought photos and they were beautiful.
This will definitely be on our list of things to do on our next visit.
We had the best time! Loved our time snorkeling and going to see turtles. Saw a huge turtle. Biggest I have ever seen. It was great that there were only a few of us on the boat that day. Would have loved to have a grill for burgers, but lunch was good nonetheless.
All the crew members were nice and had positive attitudes. They were thankful for the tourists as it’s hard to travel to Hawaii right now. The BBQ lunch provided was way better than a wrap sandwich that was pre-made. Would totally book with them again. And saw lots of whales too.
Mahalo for joining us! We appreciate the review and hope to see you again.
We had the best time on Trilogy and the crew, Captain and servers were amazing. The food was top notch as were the views. The Captain made us aware of the whales near us and pointed out even more. This was our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been better. We are definitely planning on doing this again next year to celebrate our 1st anniversary. Thank you Trilogy for a wonderful adventure. A hui hou.❤️
It was a beautiful sunset. Music was good and food was OK. Crew was nice and the ship was clean. We paid for view not the food
Thank you for joining us!
The short trip from Lahaina to Lanai was beautiful. The ferry was punctual, clean, and efficiently run by the crew. We will take the ferry again on our next visit to Lanai.
loved the crew and got to see a bunch of whales, have a few drinks, and views of Maui were amazing
we absolutely loved our tour guide Dez. hike through jungle was beautiful and we learned a ton as well. Dez picked different fruits and berries we could try from the trees and we jumped from waterfalls - fantastic time!
great to see Molokini - the harbor was a bit far from where we were staying - and the boat was really big - might choose to go on a catamaran next time. food was good and the crew added an educational element to the excursion. second snorkeling spot was ok - overall a great day
A very clean ferry with friendly crew! Very well organised despite Lahaina harbour often being hectic. The staff were nice and helpful and the trip over was smooth with a GORGEOUS sunrise!!
This tour is one of the most interesting and enjoyable activity one can take while on the island of Maui. The tour includes the Ferry from Lahaina Harbor to the Island of Lana’i. Once there we were greeted by our tour guide Bruce and off we went in a Chevrolet Suburban. Bruce was so knowledgeable and shared his experiences living on the island.
He shared the history of the island as well as the myths of the gods in the valley of the gods. We were able to see the entire island which has so many different highlights.
This was our second time we have taken this tour and I would highly recommend it for everyone. There is so much to see. A real gem. .
Isaac was outstanding. He was super knowledgeable about the island and its history. I cant imagine a better way to tour the island.
We had a nice time. Disappointed with the dessert substitute. Saw a great whale show.
We had a wonderful time and the crew was very helpful and attentive with our 2-year-old that made us feel very comfortable about the entire experience.
Thank you for writing a review! It's great to hear you had a great time and hat you felt comfortable. We hope to see you again!
Mahalo,
Nikki
Went out on Aqua Adventures and felt they were a bit understaffed for the amount of passengers they had. Pre paid for Snuba but my husband didn’t even try. No contact for refund. Food served was minimal and not the best quality.
We all had a wonderful ride to Lanai.
Ferry was on time both ways. Boat is clean and Captains and crew were so friendly and helpful. Covid rules followed.
And, we saw whales!
This was a simple, easy, comfortable and beautiful way to check off another island for your bucket list. Crew was friendly, ferry was clean, and it was just a fun way to see the whales---I suggest doing this than paying for a whale watching experience because we saw more whales here on our way to Lanai. Highly recommend.
Overall, great experience with snorkeling tour. I would have given 5-starts other than the two issues, 1 - One of the staff was little rude (white blonde seemed little racist attitude), however everyone else on the staff was super nice, 2 - the second issue, snorkeling place was little muggy water and it was little hard to sight any turtles, even though I saw one but my family couldn't see any. However, we sighted bunch of whales on the way, with couple of them very close to our boat (little scary for few seconds) which was awesome.
This was a wonderful whale watching tour, we loved every minute of it. The guide was very informative, we have done other whale watching tours, but non as thorough in their explanations of all things whale. Other tours we have been on have had more interactive crew members aside from the captain, this one did not. But it was kind of nice to have a very relaxed, more calm experience. We saw whales as soon as we got on the boat practically, and the captain was good about not waiting around for whales for too long, but we would keep looking. The captain said this boat is the largest boat on the island, and at one point during our trip, a whale went under our boat to find shade! There are chairs set up around tables on the top deck which is nice to just sit and relax. One recommendation is to leave extra time for parking, as it gets crowded near the harbor. And it can be a little challenging to find, it is a hut outside right by the boats, I think it’s the last one in the line of whale watching tours, right across from Pioneer Inn. We had a great time, we would definitely go on one of their tours again!
Amazing fun activity with kids for 2 to 3 hours. Make sure to have a hat, sunscreen and snacks for kiddos!
After years of annual vacations on Maui we finally planned a day-trip to Lanai. Out of respect for the native culture and not wanting to violate any sacred areas we decided to hire a local guide to show/drive us around. That was a great decision and great fun. We went all over the island hearing stories of the olden days and current events. If you are at all curious about how Maui (and other Hawaiian islands) looked and felt decades ago, than a trip to Lanai should be on your next itinerary. Like many other Maui adventures, you have get an early start as the first 45 minute Ferry run to the island leaves Lahaina at 6:30am. Enjoying sunrise on a boat in paradise can't be beat. We were greeted at the harbor by our tour guide, who has lived on the island for 20 years. He knew every inch, nook and cranny of the island. He told us about his growing up on the island, and stories old and new of life there.
After lunch in Lanai City we had time to shop in the few local shops and boutiques. Life is a much slower pace there, with way fewer cars and less people. We continued on our tour with a few more afternoon stops, ending at a beautiful beach a short walk to the harbor. We caught the last ferry back to Maui and enjoyed an evening ocean cruise back to Lahaina.
I would highly recommend a day trip and guided tour of Lanai. It's great fun and you never know who you might bump into on this unpretentious paradise island!
The staff of this tour are great, from the moment you get picked up until the end. The food is great and the boat is really nice. My only issue was that the waters were quite choppy at the molokini crater and it was not the easiest snorkel experience.
The only way to hike in Hawaii with young kids! We went on this hike with our 4 boys - ages 7, 4, 2, and 5 months. We had a blast, and most importantly - so did the kids! They were so into the treasure hunt and loved hiking through “the jungle.” Highly recommend to anyone traveling to Hawaii with kids and wanting to experience it all!
How wonderful to hear that. Mahalo for sharing your awesome experience with others :-) A hui hou!
The captain does a great job of finding the whales and creating opportunities to let the whales approach. Very friendly staff made us feel welcome. The only thing I have concerns with is the lack of ability to social distance or avoid touching high traffic handrails due to safety, but luckily we brought our own hand sanitizer (which I recommend). Overall a great trip, and everyone in my group had a great time.
It was a great day of snorkeling and whale watching on the Aqua Adventures. The captain was knowledgeable and funny. He was clearly enjoying what he was doing and went out of his way to make the trip truly enjoyable. The staff was super helpful. Kudo to Aqua Adventures for a memorable day. Thank you guys! Cheers.
We had a family excursion and it was perfect. As we had 2 elderly family members, we loved that the boat was double decked so there was always shade for them. We also liked that the excursion has a ton of great photo opportunities of the ocean and mainland, so we got some awesome family photos. The best part of the trip though was the fact that parts of the revenue goes towards funding researchers who are working on studying the whale populations, which makes you feel good at the end of the day about the purchase, even if you don't get to see the whales up close.
I went on this trip with my family (6 adults, 2 of whom are a bit older). It was something we could all enjoy. The best part of the trip was seeing a close up whale breach, but it does come down to luck... I imagine some people might only end up seeing fins during their excursion, but even though we got to see an up close breach on our trip, the captain invited us to stay on for their second outing that day in case we missed it so we were guaranteed to be happy (super nice of him).
Recommend you to definitely bring sunglasses and a cap as its really bright out and fatigues the eyes.
