I participated in the tour on September 24 (Tuesday). It was a "Happy Vacation!" with just the two of us girls. The stargazing was amazing! The Milky Way, which I saw for the first time, was truly beautiful, and just looking at it made me feel so happy!! After moving to Oahu, I still can't forget Haleakalā. The stargazing in Maui is indeed wonderful!

I really resonated with what Mr. Yamape said: "Since our customers have come all the way here, I want to do everything I can for them." I believe that having a sincere attitude towards customers is truly important in any job.

At the end of December last year, we visited Maui and Oahu for our honeymoon. I wanted to see the sunset, so I requested to join the Haleakalā tour in Maui. 人見知りの主人もお話出来たこととてもいい思い出だったみたいです。
ツアーなのにツアー感を感じず、とっても身近な方に連れていって頂いてる感じでした。
今年の11月に子供が生まれるので、今度は３人で参加したいと思います。
その時まで体に気をつけてツアー続けて下さいね。

However, I really wanted to see the sunrise. I was anxious about the English tour, but coffee and bread were provided on the bus, and I was able to achieve my goal of seeing the sunrise. There was no explanation about the stars, but if you're just looking to see the sunrise, I recommend it. After the sun rises, they take you to a scenic viewpoint. I was also satisfied with the breakfast after descending the mountain. The scenery was truly magnificent.

Initially, we considered driving there ourselves, but choosing this tour was definitely the right decision!

The hiking trail was longer than we imagined, so driving would have been tough, but more importantly, the owner of Maui All Stars, Mr. Yamauchi, was fantastic.

I was torn between sunrise and sunset, but considering the clarity of the air, he strongly recommended sunset! We were able to enjoy the starry sky at a leisurely pace.

Mr. Yamauchi is very knowledgeable about the stars and provided various telescopes, big and small. He shared interesting and engaging stories that entertained both kids and adults.

The heartfelt services, such as the background music during stargazing, chairs, bento boxes, and warm tea, left us truly impressed.

He was also skilled with digital cameras and made thoughtful arrangements for our photos. We got some amazing shots at the summit!

In any case, if you're going to Haleakalā, I highly recommend participating in this tour.

If I ever go to Maui again, I would love to do it once more.

Since we used a car for the entire itinerary, there wasn't much walking involved, and I thought my mother could have joined us. I was moved by the amazing sunset and the romantic starry sky, and I was very satisfied with the explanations and personality of our tour guide, Yamapi. I would like to participate again during the new moon next time. I absolutely recommend it.

My husband and I heard wonderful things about the Haleakala sunrise, and knew that it was going to be one of our activities on our honeymoon. However, we knew that the bike tour option was a little more daring than we had hoped. After doing some research and finding this tour, we knew that this was the route we wanted to take.

The tour picked us up EARLY (just before 2am), and we boarded the bus. On the way up, our driver gave us the "disclaimer," that nobody can control the weather except mother nature, and it will either be crystal clear and beautiful...or...cloudy and disappointing. Luckily for us, it was, quite literally, PERFECT.

As the sun rose, the colors changed so beautifully and two native Hawaiians sung a traditional chant. We stayed for a few more pictures, then took the bus from the lookout point to summit (quick drive), then stopped at another lookout point before heading down to breakfast.

If you are going to Maui, make sure you take this trip!

Since I'm going to Maui, I thought I had to visit Haleakalā, so I participated! I was torn between the sunrise and sunset, but I chose the sunset because it was easy with a departure time of 4:00 PM and I could see the starry sky.

As a result, it was even better than I expected! I was moved to tears by the beautiful sunset seen from above the clouds. The highlight was definitely our guide, Yamauchi. I would want to request Yamauchi again when I come back!

One thing to note is that it gets very cold, so make sure to dress warmly, and I think it's better to go when it's cloudy and when the moon is not full! The moonlight can make it difficult to see the beautiful starry sky!

I had the best memories of any tour I've experienced so far. Of course, it's thanks to our guide. I'm really glad I chose this Haleakalā tour with Maui All Stars. They took great care of us. To prevent altitude sickness, they made sure to take breaks while enjoying the journey to the summit, and I didn't experience any of the health issues I had feared. My husband and I participated the day after our arrival in Maui, but due to bad weather, we couldn't see the stars at the summit because it was foggy. We returned and rescheduled for two days later to try again.

I heard that the only way to do a comeback with just the cost of lunch and the national park entrance fee (a total of $15) is through Maui All Stars.

Two days later, the weather improved, and we were able to see a sea of clouds, a beautiful sunset with the green flash, the shadow of the Earth, and a bright moon close to full moon, along with a moonbow that can only be seen when there is no water vapor in the distance.

Our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, mentioned that since the full moon was approaching, the stars were not as visible as usual, but we were still able to see many stars, including those not visible in Japan, the profile of Mickey on the moon, and the stripes of Jupiter.

While listening to explanations under the stars, they provided chairs, large blankets, and warm tea, allowing us to lean back and slowly gaze at the stars. Standing and looking up can be tiring on the neck, but sitting in a chair is very comfortable.

This is also a thoughtful gesture from Mr. Yamauchi based on his experience. He set up the telescopes and arranged chairs for the participants without even having lunch himself. It's no surprise that many people have commented on Mr. Yamauchi's character in their experiences.

２日後は天候も回復して、雲海、美しいサンセットと共にグリーンフラッシュ、地球の影、そして満月近くの明るい月と遠くに水蒸気が発生していないと見えないムーンボウまで見ることができました。

ガイドの山内さんは満月が近いから星がいつもよりは見えていないとおっしゃいますが、星もたくさん見ることができ、日本では見えない星、月面の横顔ミッキー、木星の縞模様も見られました。

たくさんの星を見ながら説明を聞く時は、イスと大きいブランケット、温かいお茶を用意して下さるので、背もたれに頭を預けて上を向いてゆっくり星が見られます。
立って上を見ていると首が疲れますが、イスに座るととても楽チンです。

これも山内さんのご経験からの心遣いです。
お弁当も食べずに参加者のためにイスを出して望遠鏡などをセットしていらっしゃいました。
体験談で山内さんのお人柄にふれている方が多いのも納得です。


普段なかなか星を見る機会がないので、山内さんのお陰でとても貴重な体験ができました。
次回はなるべく満月から遠い時に参加したいと思います。

We participated as a family. The sunset at Haleakalā was amazing!!!! The starry sky was great too!!! We saw a lot of shooting stars. Since it is at a lower elevation than Mauna Kea on the Big Island, it was easier physically. I think it's good for elderly people and small children. I want to go again.

The sunset was beautiful, but I was also impressed by the magnificence of the night sky! The meal was a delicious makunouchi bento, which was a relief for my stomach after eating so much bread. The guide's slightly poignant stories were moving and felt like a cleansing for my heart.

However, those with a slight cold should be cautious! I ended up with acute aerotitis media and had to have my eardrum surgically opened after returning home.

Next time, I would love to see the summer night sky!

Our guide Glenn was really great. Not only was he a excellent driver ( and the mountain driving can be challenging), he was very knowlegable about Maui, Hawaii and talked us through most of the tour. He was very polite, informative and over all was great. We were on time for everything and he kept everyone interested. I'm glad we chose to do this, because being our first time in Hawaii I would not have wanted to drive the mountain in the early hours of the morning. I would definitely go back again. The Haleakala sunrise and crater are a wonder to be seen. Thanks Glenn for making it even more enjoyable.

Unfortunately, we couldn't see the sunset, but we were able to see the Milky Way and many shooting stars! I've participated in various tours abroad, but I was surprised by the attentive service of our guide! They provide blankets, coats, and gloves, but I wish I had worn tights or long socks to keep my feet a bit warmer. There were some rocky areas, but if you're confident about not twisting your ankle, I think it's totally fine to wear heels. I highly recommend it!

毛布、コート、手袋を貸して頂けますが、タイツかロングソックスをで足元をもうちょっと暖かくして行けば良かったと思いました。ゴツゴツした岩場も少しありましたが、足を捻ったりしない自信があれば全然ヒールでも大丈夫だと思います。お勧めです♪

The view from Haleakalā was truly amazing. The sunset changes its expression from day to day, and the starry sky was unlike anything I've ever seen; it's beyond words.

Also, our guide, Yamapee, had such a pleasant personality. His attentive service, guidance at the location until our arrival, and the insider tips about Maui made for an experience that exceeded my expectations.

The warm clothing provided was great, and there was nothing to complain about—both the outdoor bento and the grilled ice were wonderful!

This was a completely unique experience. The beauty and grand experience of the sunrise over the volcano was breathtaking. Bob, our guide, was prompt, courteous and entertaining while being very attentive to the difficult road conditions. He also gave us suggestions about places to eat and things to do during our stay.We throughly enjoyed the tour and would do it again.

I went to Maui for the first time and participated in the Haleakalā sunset and stargazing tour. There were four of us: a group of three consisting of a mother and her two daughters, and me. It was nice to have fewer people, making it more relaxed. The moon was out, so the visibility of the stars wasn't great, but the sunset was beautiful. I was able to have a valuable experience. Next time, I would like to go during the new moon.

The starry sky at 3,000 meters on Haleakalā was truly amazing.

First, I was filled with the stars in the sky. I was well-prepared for the cold, and at just the right time, warm tea was served, making me forget the chill as I looked up at the sky. The warm bento was delicious as well. After completing the 2012 Maui Marathon, I participated with my important partner. Initially, I was worried about whether I could enjoy it after running, but with Yamauchi-san's excellent guidance and the beautiful sunset, all the fatigue from the marathon disappeared.

Later, I couldn't stop crying at the starry sky, which looked like a treasure chest turned upside down against the pitch-black night sky. Thanks to the techniques of our guide Yamauchi-san, we miraculously got to see Saturn, which was truly amazing!

This was the first time I had such a wonderful experience, and I feel like it changed my perspective on life. The day after the Maui Marathon, I participated with my husband.

Aside from the sunset, I was moved by the countless stars we could see. We were even shown Saturn and Mars by Mr. Yamauchi, which we could never see in our everyday lives. I believe everyone who joined the tour was satisfied.

Also, there was a group of three lively and powerful ladies from Osaka who participated in the same tour, and it made me think that I want to stay energetic and positive no matter how old I get. Mr. Yamauchi also joked several times, "Osaka ladies are interesting. Is it Yoshimoto?" I fell in love with Maui.

マウイマラソンの翌日に主人と参加しました。

サンセットもさる事ながら、無数の星が見られた事に感動しました。
普段では絶対に見る事ができない、土星や火星も山内さんに見せて頂きました。
ツアーに参加されたみなさん、満足されたと思います。

また、同じツアーに大阪から参加されていたのおばさま三人組の方が気さくでパワフルで、私も何歳になっても元気で前向きにいたいなあ・・・と思いました。
山内さんも「大阪のおばちゃんは面白い。吉本ですか~？」と何度もつっこまれていましたね。

Since I attended with a child under three years old, I was a bit worried about whether it would be okay, but I enjoyed the donuts, appreciated that they had prepared warm clothing for small children, and saw some unique clocks at the shops we visited. The beautiful sunset and starry sky were, of course, wonderful, but the guide's attention to detail was impressive. My child was also very happy.

Personally, I found the information shared during the drive (stories about life on Maui, discussions about Haleakalā, etc.) to be very interesting and engaging. I usually fall asleep in the car, but I didn't have a moment to doze off.

My mother, who joined me and is in her 60s, also said she had a great time. She was surprised by the specialized astronomy discussions (which were very easy to understand!) and the appearance of a professional telescope, as she thought we would just be looking at the stars. I had imagined simply gazing at the night sky as well (which is already beautiful), so I was surprised too.

They provided a Japanese bento box and tea for dinner, along with candy for dessert, making it a truly satisfying tour. Watching the sunset over the 360-degree horizon and the beautiful starry sky made me forget the hustle and bustle of life in Japan, and I felt refreshed.

I think $160 per person (including hotel pickup) is a great deal. I would love to participate again if I have the opportunity. Lastly, I want to thank our guide, Mr. Yamauchi, for all his help. Thank you very much!

3歳以下の子供を連れての参加だったため、本当に大丈夫かなと不安な面もありましたが、ドーナッツを頂いたり、防寒具を小さい子供用にまで準備して頂いていたり、立ち寄ったお店で珍しい時計を見せて頂いたり、きれいなサンセットや星空は無論素晴らしかったですが、細かいところまでガイドさんの心遣いが行き届いていました。本人も喜んでいました。
個人的には、道中、車中での案内（マウイ島の生活の話、ハレアカラ山の話など。。）もとても面白く、興味深くお聞きしました。私はいつもは車中では寝てしまうのですが、寝る間もなかったです。
一緒に参加した60代の母もとても楽しかったと喜んでいました。星空をただ見るだけと思っていたので、専門的な天文学のお話（ですがとてもわかりやすい！）や本格的な望遠鏡の登場には驚いたと言っていました。私もただ星空を見上げることを想像していた（それでも十分キレイですが。）のでびっくりしました。
夕食に日本食のお弁当とお茶、食後の飴まで用意して頂き、本当に大満足のツアーでした。360度の地平線に沈むサンセット、美しい星空を眺めて、日本での生活のめまぐるしさを忘れて、心があらわれるような気分でした。
これで一人160ドル（ホテル送迎付）はお安いと思います。また機会があればぜひ参加したいです。最後になりましたがガイドの山内さん、本当にお世話になりました。どうもありがとうございました。
