Our trip with Makana Charters was a great time - our guides Cam and Asia were very helpful, knowledgeable and made the trip fun, as well as showing us amazing sights along the Na Pali Coastline. We entered a couple of awesome sea caves, saw turtles and hundreds of fish and sea life snorkeling, learned about the culture and history of the native Kauaian people, and enjoyed great views of the beautiful mountains, waterfalls and beaches all along the coastline. Safety was always front and foremost - we never felt at risk in any way. Would highly recommend Makana Charters - you can't go wrong!

My 9 year old daughter and I had a wonderful afternoon with Captain Cam and his partner Tony. They conveyed wonderful information about the areas we were seeing, made sure everyone was well taken care of, and kept the afternoon moving along such that there never seemed to be a dull moment. Highlights were snorkling, humpback whales, getting into some of the beautiful caves and just generally becoming familiar with a uniquely beautiful area of the world. Highly recommended!

This was so much fun with a great people to lead us on the adventure! Bruce was amazing!

This was such a good luau! My teens are still ranting and raving over how much better this one was than the others we’ve been too. They really loved all different stories alongside all the different dances. Even our friends kids 5 years and below loved it! The wall in was long- but they offer a tram for anyone who needs it so that’s awesome. I love how the pathway was lit with tiki torches to get you in the mood. This is a show, not really an engaging show where they invite you to the stage so that’s nice to not be put on the spot. I wish they offered booze and drinks for the show but we just did the show portion so maybe it was included in the food part. My 2 year old fell asleep for the show, so maybe if they offered an earlier show like 7pm she would’ve been awake and I would’ve preferred that. Thank you for a great show!

Cody and Kanaan Provided so much information about the island in the activities and their every day life not only did we get great zip lining lunch and swimming activities I was more informed about the island as a first timer then I could’ve read off of Wikipedia phenomenal job phenomenal Guys I will totally do it again when I revisit

I absolutely had no idea what to expect but it was one of the best entertainment venues I’ve ever experienced. The Smith luau family atmosphere was great my family had a great time food was good drinks were good I would totally do it again!

The grotto was beautiful, the dancing and singing was great. The overhead boat speakers were really hard to hear- we couldn't make out the stories they were telling well. If you get stuck in the middle, you can't see anything. Overall, it's not something I'd do more than once.

Perfect for a romantic celebration, it made my anniversary with my wife! Nothing beats the Na Pali views.

Great trip. A must do for outdoors people. Leisurely paddle , rain showers and hiking through mud. Uneven terrain. Wading across rivers and getting a refreshing swim in the waterfall pool. So much fun!!! Bring rain gear, wear good shoes……. we wore keen sandals, and wear a swimsuit for the waterfall swim.

This was a fun day. We saw a lot of nice sights. I wish we could have had more time at each location, though. We ended up going back to a couple sights on our own the next day. Jonna was friendly and answered our questions. The lunch wasn't very good by the time we got to eat it. (We picked it up to eat later) Maybe it depended on what you ordered. All in all a nice day and some fun sights.

I've been on this tour a few times, this time with my sister and it does not disappoint. The coast is absolutely beautiful and we saw both wales and lots of playing dolphins, which was amazing.
The catamaran was very nice and well maintained. The staff was wonderful and our captain was outstanding.
I would definitely recommend this activity and it is a must do when in Kauai!

Went on this kayak, hiking and swimming adventure with my sister. It did not disappoint at all.
Justice our guide was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, super friendly and made sure everyone was having fun and doing good. His dog precious girl Koi was such a treat to have as our companion, we just loved her.
The Kayaking was refreshing and captivating with beautiful surrounds for a hike. It was not a difficult or long hike so can be done by most and allowed us to just have a great time. I would highly recommend this activity and tour company Kayak Kauai / NaPali Outfitters, Inc.

Once again the Smith family didn’t disappoint us with this river cruise. Telling us a little bit about the Smith family and the 5 generations who have worked there. Told us about the plant life on the island. We were treated to a Hawaiian song at the end of our short hike. My 81 year old father had no problems walking this short walk. On the way back to the dock we were given hula lessons and told what each hand gesture meant. Then we all did the luau while the song was being sung. It was awesome!

When we arrived to the island I thought I booked the cruise on the Wednesday but it was on Tuesday. I was called because we weren’t there and told it was no problem and that they would be rescheduled for the Wednesday.

Wonderful experience! I HIGHLY recommend is cruise!

Everything about our evening was perfect. From the beautiful gardens, show, and dinner. When we visit Kauai again we will definitely be going back to see Smith’s luau. We had more enough to eat and were encouraged to go back for seconds. The open bar was great! The Smith family are so friendly and welcoming ❤️

The splash portion into a private cave cove made this experience. My first time ziplining an definitely an awesome course!

We did the outrigger canoe ride. This was a lot of fun! My spouse thought this was just gonna be a typical kayak, just on the ocean, so he was surprised to see the structure. Straight out of Moana! Chretien (sp?) was a great guide. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the water, surfing activities, and the general area. I think we caught 4 waves and hit speeds we wouldn’t have believed! I think the site said to bring close-toed shoes, but we shed shoes completely for the ride. Definitely bring a hat (for the sun), but maybe something with a strap to keep it on your head. Beware the parking area! Riddled with huge, tire-destroying pot holes!

Waimea Canyon is breathtakingly beautiful. You will not want to miss it while visiting Kauai and this tour was a great guide through the canyon!

We had a fantastic time at the luau. It was my wife and I on an anniversary trip and a Luau was a must. I am confident I picked the best one with the Smith's. Entertainment quality was awesome, food was as well. Staff was super friendly and the gardens were immaculate. You won't be disappointed.

The sunset cruise was a great way to celebrate my moms 60th birthday. Heather, Sequoia, and Zoey aka the Dream Team did a great job making sure each and every guest felt special and enjoyed their day. The scenery was beautiful and we were blown away by the whales and dolphins that we were able to see up close. It was definitely a night to remember!

We could not have imagined how beautiful the scenery would be. The singing and dancing was an added bonus. The Smith family really did an amazing job providing a fun filled adventure.

My husband and I had a wonderful time on this dinner cruise! Captain Cole was a great skipper. He was informative in a fun way. Our crew Sara, Ahren and Keenan were super friendly and helpful. (We took another reviewers advice and took some Dramamine ahead of time just in case, since it did get a bit choppy. But, we enjoyed it) Our crew served nonstop beverages of all kinds and many yummy appetizers. Dinner was delicious and ample. We were able to see many whales which was an added surprise. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience!

This is our second time to this luau and although it has not changed much it was still a memorable event. There were 10 of us, 6 adults and 4 children. The kids loved taking the train and feeding the pigs tortilla wraps. This is a highlight for them. The meal is on time, well organized, efficient and the staff do an amazing job of keeping it all running smoothly. The food is not inspired nor unique in any way. The pork is very tasty though and I thought the chicken thighs were well prepared. The desserts need a revamp as jiggly squares and pineapple cake and tiny tarts of nondescript filling are not worth the big bucks.
The show is well preformed and really another job well done.

John was our scuba expert and my two daughters and I were novices so we went through an orientation and practice dive with him. We enjoyed our boat ride to the sites and our Captain was a great guide and helped us get views of sea turtles, whales and dolphins. He also explained the coastline and made sure we got good photos! The first dive we were more focused on our breathing but still managed to see a lot of incredible fish! On the second dive we were more relaxed and able to focus on our beautiful surroundings . The sea turtles were so close we could have touched them (illegal though!) . I felt like I was part of Finding Nemo with all the fabulous fish we saw! We saw a starfish, trumpetfish, reef triggerfish, pennant butterfly fish, white spotted toby, yellow stripe goatfish, etc. It was wonderful to be in such a surreal environment . I’ve had scuba diving on my bucket list for around 40 years- We did it. I will never forget this adventure, John and the Crew from Seasport Divers that it all happen!

We enjoyed the Wailua river boat cruise. It was very efficiently run. The entertainment was delightful; entertaining and informative. Enjoyed the walk to the fern grotto and the history there. Loved the scenery.

Great experience from checking in to touchdown landing. Pilot was friendly and informative. He made sure passengers on both sides of plane received good views. And they were spectacular views! Flight lasted about 75 minutes. Well worth the price. This tour surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend Air Venture Tours.

The staff was very friendly and they try really hard to be sure you have fun even if the cruise itself can be a little bit boring.
I didn’t appreciate that they don’t say anything to people who don’t wear a mask even if it’s still mandatory. That part was really annoying.

Highly Recommend Hidden Valley Falls Kayak Adventure!

My husband and I went with our 4 and 6 year old kiddos - what a great adventure. The kayak portion was beautiful and the hike was easy for the kids to do and our guide had lots of great info to share as we walked along. The highlight was the rope swing into the water! Having a boat take you back and not having to paddle upstream was a highlight as well - made this a very doable trip with kids. This was one of my favorite activities we did in Kaua'i!

Learning to surf with Jared at Kauai Surf School was an amazing experience. My husband and I took our 4 and 6 year old kids for a group lesson. We all got up on the board! Jared was extremely patient with the kids and was great at explaining the process to them on land first. He was also very encouraging with the kids. This was a highlight of our trip and something the kids keep talking about. Would highly recommend!
