Our highlight of our honeymoon was zip lining with this amazing Crew! Miles and Boo Boo were incredible! The views were gorgeous! So happy we looked around before just picking a random one
We had two different events with Kauai Backcountry Adventures and they are simply amazing. Very fun and friendly staff. If there are any questions you have, the staff knows and loves their home very much!
This boat ride was truly Amazing! I would do again! It is a Must do!

Reasonably priced river tour. There are some great views and the crew sings wonderful Hawaiian music. If your visiting for the first time bring your family and take the grotto tour.
Staff was friendly from first walking into the warehouse to our tour guide, Bubu, who was very knowledgeable and informative of the histories of Hawai'i as well as great places to visit while on Kaua'i.
Our tube instructors Keoni & Doza? were great at making sure no one strayed from the path and made everyone comfortable within our group. Which is really great because you can't control your tubes.. you WILL be bumping into each other.
The water is also very brisk & most of the ride is underground (in tunnels) so a rashguard is probably a good idea unless you like the cold.
Definitely something fun to do with friends, family, your other half, etc. We want to do their ziplining tour on our next trip!
A definite must do this activity was totally awesome extremely pleasant staff very very fun activity the staff really knew how to get the group engaged and become one far more than my expectations a lot of fun for the whole family and any age definitely 5 stars
Exhilarating doors off helicopter ride, views were amazing, especially since you are able to see everything, you are at one with nature!! Niki our pilot was excellent, very informative throughout the tour, we had a fabulous trip, highly recommend this tour and Air Kauai doors off!
Awesome trip, boat crew fantastic, captain Mike made sure we saw dolphins and whales, as well as a great trip up the Na Pali coast, would highly recommend this to everyone!
The guides were fantastic and did a great job in going over safety precautions. Views were fantastic, mud was FUN, and the waterfall was beautiful!
This was the best night of our trip, such a relaxing evening.

What an incredible ride and adventurous experience! Our guides were fantastic as well. We highly recommend this trip! The scenic views were breathtaking, and trekking on the ATV’s was super fun.
Great way to spent the day! Perfect for couples, everyone uses a double kayak. The included lunch was nice at the waterfall. Easy hike after the kayak route to the waterfall, any type of shoes or no shoes are doable. Our tour guide Izzy was super friendly and knowledgeable. Thank you !!
Aloha Kristen, Thanks for the 5 stars and for taking the time to share. I agree with all that you said, including that Izzy is great, but some sort of footwear is advisable. We have one seasoned guide that negotiates the rocky often slippery trail shoe less, but again we recommend some sort of aqua shoes or beater tennis shoes. Keep chasing waterfalls. Happy Holidays. My wife and I had a blast. The scenery was beautiful the tubing was excellent and the tour guides looked like they were having as much fun as we were. I can't recommend this enough. Do yourself a favor and do this tour.
An unreal experience. You get to be in the Hawaii fresh air and nature while enjoying an experience so similar to a waterpark.
The train ride was so fun, definitely add this on as you get more of the experience of the plantation!

This is the boat you want to be on to explore the ins and outs of the Na Pali coast. I was amazed by the sea caves
This boat ride was amazing. The entertainment was very good with Hawaiian hula dancing and singing. When we got to the grotto it was a short easy walk and once again we were entertained at the grotto where Elvis sang in the movie Blue Hawaii. On the trip back down river one of our guides gave us lots of history of the area including places where movies had been filmed.
It was a very pleasant morning and would recommend Smith’s Fern Grotto tours to everyone.
Very Nice, Relaxing Cruise for anyone too take. Everyone should do it one time, while Visiting Kauai.
Very pleasant evening cruise on the river and bay. Swells were too big to get out on the ocean.
Captain and 1st mate very friendly and the boat is very nice.
My family and I visited in October 2022 and rented paddle boards. We had an amazing paddle up the river which followed a beautiful hike up to the Falls It started raining on our way back but it was still an amazing experience. It was super easy yo rent the boards and they instructed us well on how to position them for travel. Definitely recommend and will hopefully return again.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience renting SUP from us at Kayak Kaua'i. Many way to paddle falls and SUP is a bit more work but fun enough. Our boards are looking a little shabby and we will soon be replacing them with new and fleeter SUP's.
Until our wake cross....stay active and searching for water falls.

The tour guides were awesome! Made the whole experience 10X better. The float wasn’t difficult but adventurous. Kids (teenagers) smiled the whole time. Beautiful scenery! A little pricey but 100% glad we did the float!
This was such a fun adventure. The tour guide and staff were so amazing and fun! Definitely recommend going.
It was our first time in such a tiny plane. The flight was full of incredible views over almost whole Kauai with interesting information from the pilot including the music from movies filmed on this island. He used more different angles during the flight over the main spots - for example Napali Coast so we could really enjoy the splendor of nature. Can highly recommend this company for a flight.
We had a great time, fun crew! We would do it again. The only thing I would recommend is maybe appetizers, snacks.
I booked for 3 people in my family. I was so concerned about the weather being good because the forecast didn’t look great. The day of our flight came and it was looking sunny however I was feeling under the weather. Our flight was scheduled for 11:30. The company called us to reschedule because they were having technical issues. I thought that would be good and hopefully I’d be feeling better the next day. Unfortunately I was feeling worse and the weather was super cloudy. I called them to let them know I was sick but my husband and daughter could still make it. They said I couldn’t get a refund unless I went to the ER and had a Dr write a note. Really? The Emergency Room? It would’ve cost more than the flight. I took a Covid test and it was positive so I chose not to risk infecting others and gave them plenty of notice. The weather never cleared but they flew anyway. my husband and daughter said it was beautiful but rainy and cloudy. They loved seeing views that you couldn’t see otherwise especially the waterfalls. Air Kauai was able to fill my seat so while they actually made money I was out the money AND the experience. I wouldn’t recommend them.
