Introductory Two-Tank Kauai Scuba Diving Boat Tour (from Poipu)
Outstanding experience! Turtles! Huge Eel! Octopus! Tons of beautiful fish! Great teaching! Made it almost effortless!

My wife was reluctant to try scuba. These guys taught us we'll and quickly. They made it all so easy. They took great care of us and really made sure we enjoyed our time. We loved every minute and didn't want it to end!
The water was choppy when we went out, and I am usually not prone to motion sickness, but I did feel sick in the boat (but not underwater!). I'd recommend some good motion sickness medicine for the boat ride.

Our experience was pretty much perfect! The crew quickly found some dolphins which we stopped to watch and talk about, such amazing animals! The snorkel location was beautiful and the crew told us all about the island and various areas relative to local history, legends and the like. We then took to sailing as the weather was being friendly enough and enjoyed drinks and lunch. It's difficult to explain the joy of sailing off the coast of Kauai with a beer and a great group of people, it's worth every penny and more! We asked around the island and were told by every local that Holo Holo was the only choice for cruises around the island, they did not disappoint! We will be back to Kauai and will absolutely return to Holo Holo again

Aloha ! Remarkable performances by the musicians and Aloha dancers. A very entertaining group! My family was amazed all througout the river cruise. The walk to the Fern Grotto was a unique experience because the beauty of the lush and large tropical plants was amazing and beautiful. Overall, an exciting experience to see a beautiful garden ( Fern Grotto) . It is very well recommended to have the river cruise and if we come back to Kauai, we will do the Wailua river cruise again.

We went with our 22 month old baby. They are family friendly and fun. Made the boat ride easier to handle with a toddler with the hula dance and jokes. They seemed authentic. The cave was beautiful as well. Good to take kissing pics.

If you've never Kayaked with your spouse. Practice yelling at each other before the tour. Once you figure it out, you'll be glad you did it. Amazing views and swimming in the grotto of the waterfall is an amazing experience!!

Perfect tour for a first visit to Kauai!

This tour was absolutely wonderful! It was my family’s first visit to Kauai and it was overwhelming seeing all the activities that are available on the island. We settled for this as a way to see a lot of the main sights and it was the PERFECT way to spend the day! We had Kana’e (sp?) as our guide and she was absolutely a joy to spend the day with. She talked stories with us, shared her culture with us and told us all the places to go for our trip! The sights were gorgeous and we recommend this to anyone who is visiting for the first time!!

Excellent tour!

The tour was at an easy pace and covered the West side of the island concluding with spectacular views and vantage points of Waimea Canyon. Our driver Rosario was thorough with explanations, local trivia, and very personable to everyone. The pickup and drop offs from the hotels were punctual. The lunch was also good as were the local stops in Hanapepe and Waimea. Each stop including those of Waimea Canyon allowed for plenty of time to use the facilities, investigate the area, and take plenty of photos. The tour bus had plenty of space, and was air conditioned and comfortable. I would recommend this tour for any visitors to the Garden Isle!

新型コロナ前に行けた最後のハワイ旅行でカウアイ島のナパリコーストを見るクルーズ行ってきました。
前々日は、Veltraさんで予約したヘリコプターで上から眺めましたが、全く違う表情を見せてくれます。
前日は、車でナパリコーストへ地上から眺めました。
空や山頂からの眺めとは違い、船で下から見上げる切り立った海岸線は迫力満点。途中野生ぽいヤギが崖の上にいたり、虹が見えたり水が滴るところへ船を寄せて水浴びできたり印象的なクルーズでした。最後に美しい夕日を眺めながらの夕食を食べましたが、眺めが素晴らしく夕食の印象は残っていません。
この旅行で一番楽しめたツアーでした。
空に車に船と3回ナパリコーストへ向かい色々な視点から楽しみました。
日本人は、自分たち家族だけで、雰囲気も楽しめました。

Our tour guide was one of the best parts of the entire trip. She was so informative and had such a deep love and respect for her island and also for the tourists that are visiting here and falling in love with it as well. It was an amazing tour! The captain and crew were very nice. There was a very filling breakfast and lunch! The snorkeling was amazing, we saw lots of fish and a turtle! The tour of the Na Pali coast was very informative and beautiful. Make sure to wear sunscreen on the boat. Overall a great experience.

Sacred Falls Adventure - Wailua River Kayak, Hike & Waterfall Swim

We went on a 2 hour kayaking trip. Unfortunately, the hike/sacred falls was cancelled due to inclement weather. It was a bummer, but we know it was for our safety. However, it did hurt a little when we were seeing others continuing to go past the fork in the river. We did get a partial refund. After concluding our kayaking trip, our tour guide Tyler did point us to the Nounou trail to hike which was great. So we were able to fill more of our day on this hike with spectacular views!

Safety is no accident!
When in doubt we don't go out or up the North Fork that constricts and is more prone to flooding as consequence.
Having pioneered the tour we have safely been guiding folks to the falls for the last 37 years while other companies have lost clients in flood like conditions.
We love repeat business and believe "safety is no accident".

Ty was very patient and informative. We had a great time. The falls are definitely not a secret, got very crowded, I suggest taking the earliest tour possible. I would absolutely do this again!

When we pioneered this tour to the Falls we called it the Secret Falls.
Victim of our own success...it quickly became the best known secret. Now we call it the Sacred Falls and inspite its popularity, as you observed and learned, it is still a terrific way to spend the day.

An Inexpensive and Fun Time

This was a quick sightseeing adventure that was worth the cost. The boat trip was relaxing with authentic music one way and informative talk the other way to and from the Fern Grotto. The Fern Grotto is not as impressive as it once was due to storms that have torn away some of the older, longer ferns, but it was still worth the trip.

My best friend and I was visiting Kauai for the first time. We wanted to choose a few excursions that allowed us to see most of the island and learn about the culture/history. This tour was...... AMAZING. Such a beautiful coast. The crew on the boat was more than great & very attentive to all passengers. They were all very knowledgeable about the island, and just overall made the trip fun. The provided lunch was delicious. Aside from the breath taking views of the Na Pali coast, we saw hundreds of spinner dolphins, sea turtles, seals, the forbidden island, and snorkeled. One thing I will say though, if you get motion sick, this is not the tour for you.

Feel our Wailua River Paddle and Hike is a nice combination of upper and lower body.
By the time your arms might be getting tired from paddling you are hitting the trail and working the legs to get to the falls.

Had a wonderful private tour of the main attractions of the island. Simon was amazing and made the tour an absolute joy for us. We were looking for something with a pick up and drop off, as we could not manage to snag a rental car and this was perfect. Learnt a lot about the history and culture of the island as we drove around the different parts. Would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a lovely, laid-back and well informed tour of the island with a great guide.

Tony and Cam were very friendly and humorous. They stopped at all the amazing places. We took the 8:30 AM tour and got to see dolphins, turtles, beautiful caves and multiple waterfalls. Snorkeling was fun and could see coral reef and many types of fishes. I would highly recommend Makana Charters to my friends and family.

Fantastic way to spend a half day in Kauai

Dustin was amazing. He was very patient and helpful in teaching everyone how to kayak. The hike was challenging through streams, rocks and mud but Dustin made sure everyone was safe and knew what to do. It is definitely a tour I would do again. The waterfall was beautiful. We learned a lot about Kauai history and the plants and trees we saw along the way.
